It took multiple visits before my cat, Maude, known to be very shy with strangers, would come out of hiding. But Margaret was calm and patient and eventually Maude came out for cuddles. I got pictures each visit, so even when Maude was hiding I knew she was fine. I highly recommend Margaret for drop-in petsitting.”

About: This young adult is filled with energy, patience and love! I have owned a dog since I was a child and tried to open a mini petting rescue zoo in my moms barn . It worked until I had to actually adult and pay my own bills . I love giving one in one attention and healthy treats . My availability is flexible due to working around my human patients . I value bedside mannerisms and do believe they don’t just apply to two legged friends. I have been known for my cautious and preventative decision making skills ! My temperament is easy going but firm because if not, all paws will break loose! Seriously , I would have 100 dogs at home if possible. I am currently working part time and from home . I have plenty of time to give your fur baby the attention and love deserving ! I have a mini fenced in area in my back yard that my own pup adores. It is just enough space to get the job done and provide leg room. I live in walking distance to three huge parks, and on leash we will have a wonderful time.

I have been a Trusted Housesitters member for over 6 years. Right now, I’m working during the day, so my availability is primarily evenings, weekends, and holidays. Monday–Friday: Available after 6:00 PM for evening walks, drop-in visits, and pet care. Weekends: Flexible availability for walks, drop-ins, pet sitting, and boarding in my home. Holidays: Available for pet care, flexible. I’m also happy to care for pets in my home M-F when the timing is a good fit. I know pets do best with consistency, so I’ll work with you to understand their normal routine and make sure they get the attention, exercise, and care they need. As my schedule changes, I expect to have more daytime availability in the future! When you leave your pet in someone else’s care, trust matters. I take that responsibility seriously. Your pet’s safety and well-being will always come first. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, stick to their normal routines as much as possible, and pay attention to the little things that help them feel comfortable and secure. I’m also happy to send updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is doing well while you’re away. I treat your home with the same respect I would want someone to show mine. I’ll keep things clean and secure, make sure doors and gates are properly closed, and never take shortcuts when it comes to your pet’s safety. I’m dependable, attentive, and committed to doing what I say I’ll do. If something unexpected comes up, I’ll communicate with you rather than making assumptions. Most importantly, I understand that your pet isn’t “just a pet.” They’re family. My goal is for you to come home to a happy, comfortable pet—and to feel confident that they were cared for with kindness, patience, and genuine attention while you were gone. 🐾
About: I've always had a dog growing up and my parents made sure that me and my sisters were a part of training and raising a great dog. I've wanted my own pup forever and in 2019 when I was 100% ready to take on the responsibility, I got my best buddy, Atlas. We began our training at 16 weeks and are still going strong learning new skills and mastering old ones. My fiancé loves to say we "got such a great dog", but I know that Atlas and I worked our butts off to earn those compliments from strangers. In 2022 we adopted Dover into our little family giving Atlas a forever playmate. Dover is surprisingly 100% GSD which provided quite a learning curve as his training needs strongly differed from Atlas'. Working with Dover gave me a deeper understanding of dogs with separation anxiety and fear reactivity (barking) which has made me that much more prepared to work with any pup. I don't believe there are bad dogs, but every dog can have a bad day. As someone with a pup who is more reserved and particular about meeting new people, I understand the fear that comes with leaving your dog with someone new. It is my goal to love and understand your pup the same way you do so that you can feel comfortable being away. I'm embarrassingly obsessed with being the best dog owner, so I am constantly trying to learn how to best interact with dogs (and cats!) or fun new ways to engage my playful boys. I am the person friends call when they need help with their pets in any capacity-training, boarding, dog park visits, etc. My commitment to extraordinary pet care extends well past just my own boys. I can't wait to make your life as a pet parent just a little bit easier! Let's chat. 😊 I currently have a wide open schedule so I am available whenever your pet needs. I'm a morning person, so I don't mind the early morning walks. 🌞 As someone who understands that sometimes the need for short notice pet care is unavoidable, I am here to help step in when you need it most! Ever pet parent knows the best way to care for their pets, so I will always follow your guidance or suggestions. I love playing with pets and burning off that excess energy; I'm not one to just stop in and fill the water bowl-you can rest easy knowing snuggles always come after some exercise. I also love receiving updates or pictures of my boys when under someone else's care and I am happy to provide that to parents who prefer some pooch pics in the middle of the work day.
About: Hi, please call me Jupiter :) Pets have been in my life since I was six, and in one way or another I've found myself responsible for the care of one since I was ten or so! Whether it be family, friends, or a stray - I adore animals! I pride myself in my approach to pets as I do with children: be firm, but respectful. Understand boundaries and do my best to read the situation with what information I'm given and what I can infer from there. Its always great to immediately bond with a furry friend, but all living beings deserve basic respect and compassion! I've met very few pets I didn't hit it off with, but even my great aunt's black cat, old and cranky as he is, let me feed him and exist nearby without claws (as is his M.O. with anyone who isn't his owner). Long story short, I adore all the fauna earth has to offer and make it my mission to successfully cohabitate at minimum, and a strong bond more often :) I now have a car again! I work 5p to 8p Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and 8a-8p Thursday! The day time hours are subject to change based on the gig but I'm currently off weekends and don't mind working you and your furry friend into my schedule! Overnights are fine though Id have to leave early on 12 hour days - coming back after isn't an issue for longer stays! Drop ins are extra welcome at the moment :) While I cannot board, I take care to leave a home as I found it, if not better. I prioritize learning and writing specific safety and miscellaneous expectations for easy access, and default keep doors locked + my shoes off. I also think it's important to not disrupt set routines, so if a furry friend needs to be crated by a certain time, an alarm fifteen or twenty minutes prior is key to be timely and have grace if said pet may not love crate time.

He was very happy and we could tell he had expended his puppy energy during the walks. She was always on time and communicated extremely well. We will definitely be asking Sophia back!”

About: I've been pet sitting for years and love every dog like they're my own. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, high-energy breeds, medications, teeth brushing, and special care routines. I have a fenced backyard with flowers growing for your pet to smell! They’d have plenty of friends within my 3 cats and my dog & I’m near multiple parks for fun walks. Working in your home, I love the for the pet to have access to as minimal amount of rooms as possible to reduce any hiding behaviors (especially with cats). All medications need to be placed in cabinets out of reach (even your melatonin - trust me, they do crazy things when missing you), and required supplies should be grouped together. About: I know how special our pets are in our lives. I will bring the same care, love and affection I have provided for my own fur babies to yours. Pet care fits into my schedule during the morning and afternoon hours around 4 pm. I am pretty flexible with my schedule so can adjust when needed. Much like children I have babysat in the past - keeping a safe environment is vital to everyone’s safety. With pets this is the same principle. Making sure everyone is safe and happy is my top priority.
