I'm a pet owner too, so I know how important it is to stick to your pet's routine and send plenty of updates so you can relax. As a graduate student, I have a very flexible schedule. My campus is only a 10-minute drive away, which means I can easily come home to check on your pet every 2-4 hours, or as often as needed. My neighborhood has plenty of green spaces and safe areas, perfect for long walks and playtime. My home features a secure, fenced-in backyard with plenty of grass, giving your pet a safe space to play and take comfortable potty breaks. About: Hi, please call me Jupiter :) Pets have been in my life since I was six, and in one way or another I've found myself responsible for the care of one since I was ten or so! Whether it be family, friends, or a stray - I adore animals! I pride myself in my approach to pets as I do with children: be firm, but respectful. Understand boundaries and do my best to read the situation with what information I'm given and what I can infer from there. Its always great to immediately bond with a furry friend, but all living beings deserve basic respect and compassion! I've met very few pets I didn't hit it off with, but even my great aunt's black cat, old and cranky as he is, let me feed him and exist nearby without claws (as is his M.O. with anyone who isn't his owner). Long story short, I adore all the fauna earth has to offer and make it my mission to successfully cohabitate at minimum, and a strong bond more often :) I now have a car again! I work 5p to 8p Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 12p-5p Sunday and 8a-8p Wednesday and Thursday! The day time hours are subject to change based on the gig but i'm always off Saturday and don't mind working you and your furry friend into my schedule! Overnights are fine though Id have to leave early on those 12 hour days - coming back after isn't an issue for longer stays! Drop ins are extra welcome at the moment :) While I cannot board, I take care to leave a home as I found it, if not better. I prioritize learning and writing specific safety and miscellaneous expectations for easy access, and default keep doors locked + my shoes off. I also think it's important to not disrupt set routines, so if a furry friend needs to be crated by a certain time, an alarm fifteen or twenty minutes prior is key to be timely and have grace if said pet may not love crate time.

“Sophie was a very attentive, kind, and communicative caretaker for our cat! She took extra care to manage boarding our cat alongside her cats, sent us pictures, and shared sweet updates with us while we were away. We highly recommend Sophie and would be glad to have her as caretaker for our Frankie again!”

“She had done greet with our dog lili she is about a year and six months old no issues at all very knowledgeable of dogs in their situations as well as understanding their behavior with no issues she took care of my dog and my dog played with her dog so now my dog has a friend they went to the park together and everything and she bought my dog back, clean safe and sound no issues Thank you very much once again for watching her for the five days. It’s been great. We definitely use her again just for dog play dates. Also she’s amazing. Don’t hesitate.”

He sent me tons of pictures of them having fun and he followed my instructions perfectly considering my dog unfortunately has to take medications temporarily which made it a bit more challenging.
