About: I have had one cat and many dogs in my lifetime. I believe that dogs truly are mans best friend. My aunt is also an avid dog lover which is where I learned how much I enjoy caring for dogs. She has five dogs that are all varying in needs. Some need medicine every day, some can never be left alone, and some need a certain prepared type of food. About: I do not own a dog personally, however I have had experience caring for dogs. I have dogsitted for as long as I can remember, feeding, walking dogs and genuinely caring for them. I live in a very walkable and safe neighborhood community in Ellicott City. While not gated, it is a closed community and offers numerous paths for dog walkers, including a dog park nearby as well. About: I believe what sets me apart is my combination of professional caregiving experience, extensive dog handling experience, and genuine love for animals. I currently have my own service dog and went through 2+ years of weekly training with her, along with 6+ months of obedience training with two other dogs. About: Starting at the age of 11 up to today I have been trusted to take care, bathe and feed animals in my neighborhood, friends and family. I’m well at observing and giving medication if needed for older pets but also can be playful and help with the puppies/kittens as well! I currently work at an animal hospital which helps in my knowledge of feeding and taking care of pets. I work part time, mainly mornings but I’m willing to work around that if needed. I’m an animal lover through-and-through (if you’ve seen it I’ve probably thought about wanting to make friends with it) and I was a dog owner for many years to Samwise, a sweet miniature dachshund. Though I do not currently own any dogs, I am a proud auntie to my two furry nieces–Tetra, a loveable golden retriever and Zora, an energetic goldendoodle–who I routinely see and care for when their family is away. I’ve housesat for friends and family many times throughout the years, for both dogs and cats. Big or small, reserved or energetic, old or young, I’ve dealt with it. My own pets have passed recently and while I adjust to my routine of being a new mom I would love the chance to provide love, attention, and care for your animals. I have a lot of love to give! I currently work only a couple hours a day remotely so I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule during the weekdays. I’m also available for most weekends. Nights are a little harder, as I have a little one at home, but not impossible–I have additional child care at home. When caring for your pet you can be rest assured that both your pet and home will be treated with respect. I will provide excellent service and if you’re not happy with me I will take no offense. I am a quick learner and good with constructive criticism and instruction. Just let me know :) Your pet’s care and safety is important to me.

“Lydia was fantastic! She welcomed her home to us with her lovely family including her chickens during our meet and greet. We proceeded to boarding 2 nights with her. Her home provided a warm, cozy and energetic vibe for our Poodle who is out going and craves human interaction. Lydia was not familiar with poodle grooming initially but after a quick demonstration and positive feedback she mastered it in no time. I appreciated her attention to detail, ability to communicate throughout the day and her willingness to learn how to care for specific dog breeds. It was a mutual rewarding experience and she even supervised her children doing obedience training with our pup.”

“Terry was a huge blessing. We needed someone to care for our 2 pups last minute while we were in town. Terry was available and did great with our boys. We offered to pick our dogs up the night before so Terry could sleep I'm the morning we were heading out and he said to have the night off which helped us spend more time with family.
