I am comfortable and have experience with all indoor animals (big and small) and some outdoor critters (think chickens, goats, etc.). I have familiar and comfortable with the needs of puppies and older dogs, I have experience taking care of both. Currently, I work part time so I an free throughout the day to visit your furry friends while you’re at work. I reciprocate this communication when caring for your fur babies and try my best to stay in regular contact with owners.

“Kelli is great!! The cats were totally cool with her checking in on them, and they can be kinda cranky/stand-off-ish, but Kelli let them do their thing and took great care of them! Our cat who typically doesn't like anyone near them allowed Kelli to pet them a few times - which is a lot! Will definitely book Kelli again and recommend her to anyone!”

“Mickala did a great job caring for our two senior cats! Communication was excellent with thorough updates each day. I appreciated the attention to detail and how highly dependable Mickala was. Thank you!”

Perfect for high energy dogs - Whately
Prices are estimates per day for 1 dog. Pricing may vary based on your search and includes a booking fee of 11%.
About: Parents Jessica and Philip are the responsible adults guaranteeing that your dog will get everything they need, but 13-year-old Josie is the primary caretaker of our dog guests. She is a very attentive, loving and engaged pet pal! Since we started on Rover as a summer job for Josie in 2023, we have hosted dogs of all sizes, energy levels and needs and she loved every single one of them. She gets up early every day (whether or not she is caring for a dog) so she often gives the pups their first walk of the day before anyone else has gotten out of bed. In spring of 2023 Josie rescued an Eastern Phoebe (songbird) that was pushed out of its nest and injured; she fed it dry cat food soaked in sugar water and set it free a week later as a robust young fledgling (see pictures). On weekends and school vacations, Josie has little to do other than care for your dog! We are early risers. Our calendar has school days blocked off, but we would consider boarding a dog during the school week if its needs match Josie's availability so please inquire. Both parents work mostly or fully from home and could manage a midday walk for a quiet dog. Jessica is an elementary teacher and education administrator who is accustomed to carrying great responsibility for the safety of precious smaller beings. She closely supervises Josie as the primary caregiver. Our home is in the woods with access to Mt. Toby trails so your pup will get to enjoy the outdoors several times a day. Sometimes dogs who are anxious in the busy neighborhoods of their homes are much calmer when they come to our quiet, wooded setting. We have a flock of chickens in an enclosed outdoor area.

“I’m so glad to have connected with Gabi (and so is my pup)! I could tell right away that she loves and genuinely cares about any dogs who are lucky enough to hang out with her. And Sadie, my slightly nervous/sometimes hyper girl settled right in. Thanks Gabi, we’ll see you soon!”

“We can't say enough good things about our dog walker! Otis was taken such good care of. He absolutely loved his walks and especially playing ball. She even cleaned him up after he got a little muddy and brushed him to make sure his fur didn't mat. We're so grateful for her excellent care and attention to detail!”

“John was very caring and supportive to my dog who is anxious with new people. . He was also very flexible with the time, which I really appreciated. I already planned a second day for him to watch my dog.”

About: I took care of dogs growing up, and now dogs are part of my family. My children have also grown up with dogs, helping with training, feeding, brushing, bathing, and playing with our dog. I am a middle school teacher who is home with my family during the summer. My 10 year old son and I are available to welcome your dog into our family life during the summer weeks and on weekends during the school year. We have a large yard with a stream and conservation land behind our house. We enjoy walks in the woods, running around and playing catch in the yard with dogs who stay with us. Inside dogs are allowed on the couch. We are home all day during the summer. We are excited to meet your dog and welcome them into our family life.
“Another great time at Emma’s! You know you’ve found someone special when your dog tries to stall when it’s time to go home:) It’s such a load off my mind to know that Sadie is in good hands, thank you again Emma!”

“Erica was so awesome! We had a reunion event in Easthampton which required someone to watch our fur baby while we were out and about. Erica was great to communicate with and was so kind to help coordinate drop off and pick up for our pup to make the logistics easier. We loved seeing the Rover card with all the pupdates and great pics. Most importantly, we knew Sugar was in good hands and we could enjoy our event stress-free. We’d definitely recommend Erica any time!”

“We're very happy with Xianshu. He took care of Shah very well, went for a couple of walks with the dog, and sent us plenty of pictures. We left a happy pup, and we got back a happy pup. We highly recommend Xianshu for your dog.”

About: Our family dog just moved out with my daughter, so my grandpuppy 😂. Thankfully he comes to stay regularly for extended visits! Most of my photos are of him, truly spoiled & loved. I’ve cared for animals most of my life. I’m available for walking, boarding, or checking in daily while you’re at work to feed or let out. Flexible availability, reliable and kind. I have very flexible availability for boarding, house sitting and checking in and walking. I only work 15 hours a week, so I’m home most of the time! Let me know your needs and I’m sure we can work something out that’s best for your pets needs. I have a smoke free, very tidy home. I live in a townhouse that is surrounded by woods and has close proximity to walking trails. You can provide a crate if needed for boarding. I will welcome gentle, people-friendly dogs, who are house & potty trained only. No overly dirty or muddy dogs please! Thanks for your understanding.
About: I am a lifelong dog person with a large fenced yard and miles of trails out my back dog. A tired dog is a happy dog. Unless I am traveling myself I am extremely flexible and available. I will let you know if I will need to spend more than a few hours away from your pet before booking a stay. I think it’s important for pets to keep to their normal routine while their people are away. A little extra attention and affection also helps ease the stress of separation. I have a pretty mellow disposition and enjoy cuddling with a furry friend while reading or watching a show.
About: **Accept cats boarding only.** I had been taking care of the stray cats in my neighborhood and have two cow cats of my own (currently are not in the apartment). I also have experiences of sitting doggies - love walking with them in the fresh air! I have plenty of toys and abundant times to play or just be around them throughout the day. I am good observer for their behaviors and health conditions; I will always be there when furry friends need me. 💓💓 I spend most of the day at home so that I have flexible time with lovely kitties/doggies. I am able to follow their regular routines and make sure that they are feeling home here. If I left the house for an hour or two during the day, there’s always enough food and fresh water for them. 💓💓 I live in a spacious 2b2b where they can have fun running and playing around. It’s on the top floor with elevators and floor-to-ceiling window in the living room. I found that kitties/doggies love laying in the sun near the window. 🐶 There’s an acrylic, warm playpen for small/medium doggies to sleep in. Of course, I would love to have them sleep with me in bed if they want. :) 🐱 There are cat towers, scratchers, and toys everywhere in the house for cats to explore around. Litter boxes are located in several corners at home too. There’s walk-in closet, cabinets, and beds for shy fellows to hide, without worrying about being in enclosed small place. 💓💓💓
“We have loved working with Tricia! Very flexible, understanding, and affordable. She went the extra mile for our senior dog. Can’t wait to book the next visit for our dog!”
“Amed was prompt with communication, and was sweet with our dog. He took her for a walk and the dog park, and she was tuckered out after. It worked out well to have Ahmed watch our dog while we were visiting from out of town to see a concert. Thank you Amed!”

About: With 25+ years of pet care experience, including 15 years as a vet tech, I treat each animal as I would my own. I enjoy getting to know clients and their companion animals. I feel it is important for pets to have someone familiar taking care of them while their people are away. For this reason, I will usually ask to set up a meet and greet prior to the first booking. In addition to dogs and cats, I have experience with small mammals (e.g. gerbils, guinea pigs, rabbits), exotics (e.g. lizards, turtles, birds), and farm animals (e.g. chickens, horses, cows, sheep, goats). Whether exercising exuberant young animals, entertaining indoor cats, or just keeping them company so they don't miss you [as much], I'm there to be another one of their people! I look forward to meeting your animal companion(s) and learning more about their routine and requirements to keep them happy & healthy while you are away. You can expect to receive updates including photos while they are in my care. Drop-in visits and house sitting generally available 7 days (between 8AM-8PM) and 7 nights/week. I offer dog walking but not are occurring service on week end days, though available some weekends. My own yard is unfenced; I offer leashed walks and potty breaks in yard and/or on nearby trails. Due to respect for my 3 cats, I do not offer doggy day care or sitting in my home across the board. I have made exceptions for cat-friendly and low-key critters in the past. Find it generally works best to care for pets in the comfort of their own home, where I keep their regular routine going to the best of my ability.

“Abigail took such great care of my pup Norma!! I reached out to her for a last minute care need. She responded very promptly and even made extra time in her schedule to squeeze in a meet and greet before walking and feeding Norma later that day. Abigail was very thorough in both asking questions about Norma’s needs and following through with all that we discussed. Norma is also a nervous, hyperactive pup and Abigail did a great job building rapport with her. She is very responsible and takes her job seriously. I will definitely be reaching out to Abigail again in the future—highly recommend her!”

Some of my clients opt to have a neighbor by for a potty break, but it works for many dogs that I go right there, let them out and feed them. About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my strong background in animal care and hands-on experience with a variety of animals. As a junior at UMass Amherst studying Biology Pre-Med and Animal Science Pre-Vet, I’ve worked with both household pets and larger farm animals, giving me a well-rounded understanding of their needs. I have experience administering medications, monitoring for signs of illness, and caring for both young and senior pets who require extra attention. I’ve worked at PetSmart as a Pets Hotel Associate, where I have cared for over one thousand different dogs and sixty cats. My academic knowledge and real-world experience allow me to provide reliable, attentive, and compassionate care for every pet I watch. I am currently on summer break and am looking forward to taking care of your furry friends these next few months before I go back to working as a full-time student at UMass Amherst. I care for your pets in your home by carefully following your instructions and paying close attention to their body language and behavior. Since animals can’t communicate with words, their movements and behavior are key to understanding their needs and comfort levels. I make sure to respect their boundaries and respond appropriately, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

“I booked Rachel last minute fully expecting for her to not respond or say she was available and she responded within minutes for my last second request. She and her family took excellent care of Hank and sent me several pictures and updates through out. 10/10. Very happy to have found someone trust worthy i can leave my dog with and have no worries without feeling like i am burdening friends or family.”
