“Melissa and Kellie were wonderful! Maggie got so comfy so fast she even made sure to give some lovings to them before jumping in our car to leave. We felt some comfortable going on vacation with Maggie in their care and would love to book with them in the future even though we don’t live in the area.”

“Karen hosted my dog Lulu overnight and was very genial & accommodating as well as an excellent communicator. It was clear that Lulu felt very comfortable with Karen and her sweet dog.”

“Mike and Kelly were outstanding! Just days before our scheduled boarding, our dog Duncan had to undergo emergency biopsies. Despite this, Mike and Kelly graciously took Duncan in, administered his medications, and ensured he was safe and happy. They kept us updated with photos and regular communication about Duncan’s health. I highly recommend their services—in fact, I already recommended them to a neighbor this afternoon! Thank you Mike and Kelly for taking care of our Duncan!”

“I’m guilty of being a helicopter Mom. My dog is very attached to me and spoiled! Needless to say I was overly worried leaving Finn for 5 nights. Steve was amazing putting me to ease. He sent pictures and videos that clearly showed Finn both happy and comfortable. Finn will be a repeat customer:)”

“Debra and her husband were outstanding!! We recently left our two dogs with them and their 5 dogs and had a stress free vacation knowing they were in such good hands. Their backyard is amazing and built for dogs. Deb kept them on the same medication and feeding schedule! Got pics while away and could tell my dogs were happy. I had time with all of their dogs prior to leaving mine with them and can attest to the fact their dogs are super dog friendly and well behaved. Our dogs came back tired and super well cared for. We will be back for sure:) would highly recommend”

“Marc and his family were outstanding! We couldn’t have felt more comfortable leaving our pup with him - he checked in lots and it was obvious our Archie was so happy in his care! We would confidently recommend Marc to anyone looking for someone to take care of their fur baby.”

“Caitlin was great. She was friendly, accommodating, has a great place, and most importantly, she took good care of our dog Abbie. I can absolutely recommend her.”

“Rachel was the perfect dog sitter! She met us at the ferry which was above and beyond and then even gave us a lift to where we were staying on the island. She seemed to really connect with our dog and shared pictures every day during the stay. Couldn’t recommend enough.”

“Justine was a phenomenal sitter! We had a bit of a last minute need for a sitter and couldn’t be more happy with our experience. Justine was attentive, helpful, and incredibly friendly. We had so much peace of mind while we were away. Our dog Violet got along so well with her Piper, and they definitely became fast friends. Cannot recommend her enough!”

I never worry about my 3 cats when she is coming in to feed and look after them. She often sends pictures and updates. It's always comforting to see." - Judy and Larry in West Tisbury
About: I have a senior cat with a serious digestive and heart condition, so I’m certainly used to giving pets their proper medications, feeding at specific times, or just generally giving them the love and attention they need! I grew up with dogs, and have pet sat for friends, family and clients for years. I feel more than comfortable feeding, walking or staying with pups of any breed or size. I’ve been a sitter on Trusted Housesitters for years and have been lucky enough to let sit as far away as Berlin! I’d love the opportunity to take great care of your pets while you’re away! I have a super flexible schedule with work and can generally accommodate most days/times. I live on Martha’s Vineyard and can travel most anywhere on island to sit. My fiancé and I are more than happy to accommodate any and all let needs. With our senior cat experience, and lots of daily and overnight sitting experience, we always treat animals with kindness, patience and respect. We will always ensure animals feel comfortable in our care, and we update owners on their pets as much as possible!

I am available 7 days a week for short and long-term jobs with the ability to stop by frequently for walks and potty breaks. I enjoy the outdoors and walking dogs in the quiet pet friendly neighborhood park behind my house. I’m capable of walking dogs on a leash and am careful about how I do so. About: I bring high-energy, all-terrain enthusiasm to every pet I care for! Whether I’m biking, swimming, running, walking, rollerblading, or scootering, I stay active so your dog can too. About: I have been a pet sitter for the last 10 years, working for neighbors as well as for the families I was nannying for. I am committed to the dogs I am caring for and I will treat them as if they are my own. I currently work in a hotel and taking care of animals in my free time would be work that I am very passionate about. I am happy to take the dogs on walks, or host in your home. I currently work part time so I would love to fill my free time caring for animals. I spend most nights on long walks so it would be great to have a companion to keep me company. I am very responsible and trustworthy. I would treat your dog and your home as if it is my own. I am happy to feed, play, walk, go to the beach, or anything that will make the pets happy.

About: Hi! I’m a washashore with a lifetime of dog experience. I specialize in large dogs but still love my lil barkers. I own 2 floofs Briar (the Newf) and Chloe (the midget newf) I have some grooming experience and would certainly throw in a bath if need be. We love walks, videos of our adventures (so we can send them to non furry family), and lots of brushing and belly rubs. I will do off leash walks in safe environments and will do leash walks in town to socialize and get an occasional “frosty paw.” I am still on my journey to be a full time dog groomer and my biggest concern is for the animal to be happy and comfortable. I currently work part time for my husband’s tour business so this keeps me busy when I am not selling tour tickets and admin work I have a fenced in yard so if the dog park seems a little too busy or your pup jest needs to burn some energy they have a full acre to do so.

“100% confidence, Ruby loves dogs and treats them like family. She sent a couple of photos during the day, which was just enough to know all was ok. She took Sam and her dogs to a dog park, and a long walk and Sam loved being with her dogs. Thank you Ruby for taking such good care of Sam!”

“I felt that Daniella was kind and responsive to my questions before she took my puppy, Ellie. She sent me multiple photos throughout the day and gave me updates to go along with them.”

“Absolutely amazing. I knew Blitzen was in good hands. I loved the daily pictures. Blitzen was so excited every time we arrived to drop him off and he didn't want to leave when we came to pick him up. I had to change the dates and times quite a bit, but Julia was so flexible. I really appreciate how accommodating she was.”

“we were looking for a home close by to our house where Quinnie could have some time to interact with other dogs in a safe and living environment. Jackie‘s home was perfect for what we were looking for. A large securely fenced yard plus a dog door. Quinnie seemed very comfortable with Jackie, her husband and their three adorable dogs. She spent six hours there and came home tuckered out, but she seemed very happy with the day. Jackie was very attentive and kept us informed. We would very highly recommend her!”

“Sam was great for our two goldens! Sam and his wife were kind from the get go and accepted both dogs into their house with open arms. We would certainly book again with them!”

“Laurel was a fantastic sitter for our dog Ollie. She came home happy, tired, and ready to sleep. Laurel is also a great communicator and responds very quickly. She was also very accommodating to our drop off and pick up time. Highly recommend!! Thanks Laurel!!”

“This was our dog’s first visit to Maria and he did great playing with the other dogs for the day. We felt very confident all day knowing he was in such good hands. We will definitely ask her again and we really appreciate her help!”

“We had such a great experience using Eric to watch our dog Floyd while we explored Cape Cod! He was very accommodating with drop off and pick up times, and a great communicator regarding what he was doing while watching Floyd. It was extremely hot for the days he was with Floyd and Eric was very conscientious about not letting Floyd get overheated, and also about checking him for the nasty ticks that are so common on the Cape. I would highly recommend Eric and will definitely use him again when we come back to the Cape!”

“Melissa took great care of our Mandy who is a senior dog and needs a little extra help. She was great in letting us know how Mandy was doing and we greatly appreciate Melissa’s communication.”

“Kathleen was a delight for me and my dog. It was a last-minute booking. So having never met my dog before drop-off, she took time for my dog to get comfortable with her before I left. And then she sent almost a dozen pictures and videos while I was away for about seven hours. She also sent several updates (and compliments) about my dog, so I didn’t even have to wonder if everything was going well. She obviously loves dogs.”

About: Hi! We’re a dependable, dog-loving family offering in-home dog boarding and dog sitting on Cape Cod. If you’re looking for a safe, attentive, and comfortable home for your dog while you’re away, you’ve found it. We both work from home, so your dog will never be alone. We have a small, friendly Labradoodle who loves other dogs and is very used to sharing his space. Because of that, visiting dogs typically adjust quickly and feel right at home here. We’ve cared for many friends’ dogs over the years, including puppies, adult dogs, and seniors. We’re comfortable with different temperaments, energy levels, and routines, from active dogs who need lots of playtime and walks to more relaxed dogs who just want a calm, cozy environment. We have used pet sitters several times for our own travels, so we know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your beloved fur baby with a stranger. We will make your dog one of our family and give you regular updates, including photos. We know how important it is to trust who you leave your dog with. Our goal is simple: make your dog feel safe, happy, and cared for, so you can relax while you’re away. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to set up a meet & greet—we’d love to meet you and your pup! Pet care fits very naturally into our daily routine because we both work from home full-time. This allows us to build our day around the dogs in our care rather than leaving them alone for long stretches. Our typical day includes morning potty breaks and walks, followed by a relaxed workday where dogs have plenty of supervision, companionship, and opportunities to go outside as needed. We take breaks throughout the day for playtime, short walks, and attention, depending on each dog’s energy level and routine. In the evenings, we usually incorporate longer walks, playtime, or wind-down time, making sure dogs are settled and comfortable before bedtime. Because dogs are part of our home environment, they’re included in our daily rhythm—not treated as an afterthought. On weekends, we’re generally home and maintain a similar routine, with even more flexibility for walks, outdoor time, and one-on-one attention. Overall, having dogs in our care is something we genuinely enjoy and prioritize, and our schedule allows us to provide consistent, attentive care throughout the day and week. We care for every dog as if they’re our own, with a focus on keeping their routine consistent, their environment safe, and making sure they feel comfortable and loved while you’re away. Before any stay, we take time to understand your dog’s daily routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any quirks or preferences—so we can mirror what they’re used to at home as closely as possible. In our home, dogs get: Plenty of supervision (we both work from home, so they’re rarely alone) Regular potty breaks, walks, and playtime based on their energy level A calm, safe environment with space to relax or socialize Lots of attention and affection throughout the day We’re also comfortable administering basic medications if needed and following any specific care instructions you provide.

About: I bring high-energy, all-terrain enthusiasm to every pet I care for! Whether I’m biking, swimming, running, walking, rollerblading, or scootering, I stay active so your dog can too. I’ve worked with pups of all ages—from playful puppies to mellow seniors—and tailor each walk or visit to fit their pace and personality. Pets aren’t just cared for, they’re engaged and uplifted. Let’s turn walk time into mission time! I work from home full-time, which means I’m always nearby and flexible. Pet care fits naturally into my day—I schedule walks, playtime, and snuggles around my work. I treat every pet like family—whether they're with me or I'm visiting their home. I have a fenced yard for safe outdoor time and two friendly dogs for social play. I follow any special instructions you provide and can crate your pup if needed. Clean spaces, constant supervision, and a whole lot of love ensure your pet’s comfort and security.
About: ***AVAILABLE ON MARTHAS VINEYARD ONLY*** My experience with animals began as a child both with family pets and horseback riding. Being on the farm at such a young age instilled in me a love for animals that has only grown over the years. It also allowed me a front row seat to better understanding animals and their individual behaviors. Throughout the years, I have become proficient in medication administration and personalized feedings scheduled and requirements. I have also been privileged to be around animals of all kinds and ages and I look forward to providing your young and senior pets with the extra love and attention they require and deserve. In my day to day life I am a licensed and trained paramedic which has helped me better harness the patience and understanding often required when helping animals and their families. For those of you that have pets with boundless energy, I go for a minimum 5 mile walk daily that could only be made better by the accompaniment of your four legged family member. I look forward to meeting you and your perfect pets! I currently work part time as a paramedic which allows for a lot of freedom and flexibility in my schedule to help you and your pet. As I will be watching your pet in the comfort of your home- I will always want to know what helps them adjust to change best in your absence. How can I make them, and you, feel more comfortable? What toys do they love? What types of check ins work best for you and what information do you prefer to be kept up to date on? Does your pet have any health history or allergies? What ever you think will make this experience best for you and your pet is information I would love to be made aware of!
About: I adore dogs and have been a consistent pet and home sitter for several families on Martha’s Vineyard over the last 8 years. I am tidy, responsible, and take care of pets as if they were my own. I love to take daily long walks (3-5 miles) and the companionship of a dog makes this personal routine so much more fun. It’s not possible for me to have a pup of my own in my current housing so getting to spend time with other dogs brings me so much joy. Work freelance as a henna artist and with a catering company on island. I have a varied work schedule with most mornings open, happy to try to make your pet care needs fit into my day. I’m a great communicator and will always make sure I fully understand the needs of your home and pet before I agree to a job. I want us both to have a clear understanding and expectation of the level of care required so that everyone is comfortable. I am very respectful and mindful that every pet and home is unique, the details matter to me.
About: Beyond being a dog owner myself to my beloved rescue Jordi, I've also taken more dog sitting jobs than I can count. I LOVE dogs! I like to go the extra mile by taking dogs on extra long walks and adventures, always administering their medication at the correct time, giving dogs extra love and cuddles, and always keeping the house super neat and tidy. I already walk my own dog twice a day, and he loves walking with a friend! If you need a drop in visit or occasional help with a dog walk, it's already a part of my routine. Of course I do not need to bring my own dog, but if your dog enjoys the companionship of other dogs, it could be a great option! I am not allowed to have any more pets other than my own where I am currently living so I will not be able to board your dog, only house sit. Thanks for understanding.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs professionally in the last year, throughout that time I was required to take an animal CPR/First Aid course. This was very educational and I believe that anyone working with home pets such as dogs and cats should have this knowledge and ability, so your pets are well taken care of and gives the owner a large amount of relief knowing the person they are with is educated for the safety, and also has so much passion for animals! A side from a professional career, I have been around Dogs as well as Cats my whole life in my own home as well as all of family members always having dogs. At this time I have mornings and afternoon available to attend to your pups needs! Pet Care is very important, and I have a very flexible schedule to make it happen! The services I offer to your pets, is walking and check ins. With this care I will provide a 1-3 mile walk depending on your preference

“Kari and her family took such great care of our dog, Bogey. Very proactive in communication and I felt completely at ease during my time away from my dog. I wouldn’t hesitate to trust them again with Bogey.”

“Marcia was wonderful; they made my pup feel like a member of the family! I got lots of updates so I didn't have to worry while I was away for work. Cane was having so much fun that I wasn't sure he'd want to come home!”

“Ruby was wonderful with our dog, Moose. We were able to leave town and not worry about him. She also sent us some great photos and videos of Moose playing with other dogs in her care. I highly recommend her!”
