I have hands-on experience through cat rescue, where I helped socialize entire families of feral cats and prepare them for adoption, as well as experience in a cat hospice caring for senior and medically fragile cats. About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 5. I love them all! I have a horse named Olay that I board not at my house!) And dogs and a cat! I’m a first grade teacher so I have summer off starting 6/5! So will be able to do anytime at that point! For now I can do weekdays after 3pm and anytime weekends! I only host one dog at a time (unlike many petsitters), so your pup will be treated like family and get my full attention (and all the belly rubs they deserve). About: I grew up with dogs. First, an eighty-pound lab with a five-hundred-pound personality. Then a water dog who swam with me all summer in Lake Michigan. And bulldogs, so many bulldogs. Now my wife and I live in Easthampton with a fifteen-pound walking Beanie Baby we adopted from Dakin. I could not live without dogs, and I wouldn’t want to. I would treat your dog like my own. I work part-time, which means your dog isn't competing with a packed schedule. Monday through Saturday, 8 am to 6:30 pm, I'm available for walks, drop-ins, or simply keeping your pup company. Six years of professional walking taught me a few things. 1) Standard leash only, four to six feet, never retractable. I bring my own, but am happy to use yours. 2) Never rush a dog through a sniff, because that fire hydrant at the end of the block is important information and your dog knows it. 3) Always clean up after them. 4) No AirPods, ever; I’d rather keep an ear out for oncoming traffic and any renegade squirrels. 5) Make walks fun. That means positive reinforcement, goofy voices, and treats for good sits and stays. Treats are on me.

(Please note: on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays, I am usually available from 11 AM-5:30 PM; on Mondays & Wednesdays, I am usually available from 11 AM -12 PM) I'm currently working part-time as a educator (tutor) so I have ample time to provide dog care (walking, drop-in day care and occasional boarding) during the week, Mon-Wed and Thurs-Friday. On occasion, I may be able to board dogs during the weekend. I live in an extremely peaceful, quiet, dog-friendly neighborhood (the Plains of Easthampton) toward the end of a cul-de-sac. So there is almost no cars or traffic here. I do have a front & back yard. Although it is not fenced, it is backed by trees and, as mentioned, almost zero traffic

This sudden severence is quite upsetting to me. I so much wish she would have told me she had issues with my questions rather than suddenly ending all communication with no warning.”

“I would highly recommend Allison to take care of your dogs! She is so caring and definitely communicates with you to let you know what's going on! Her dog, Mollie is so sweet too! She has 2 fenced in areas- a front yard and back yard with a pool! There is definitely plenty of places for your dogs to roam and play outside. She also has a nice area inside for them to play and where she gives tons of cuddles! She honors whatever your routine is, as I wanted my dog to sleep in her soft crate and be fed twice a day with pottie breaks every 4hrs. She is very reliable, dependable, efficient and a total sweetheart! She knows how to slowly introduce dogs and makes sure everyone is safe and comfortable besides having fun! I was so calm knowing that my Lola was in good hands and given so much attention by her, her family, and the other dogs! A definite 5 star rating in my book!”

About: I have had pets my whole life and have been trusted to care for them consistently. Having 2 of my own dogs and many reptiles/amphibians, my care for pets goes deeper than most. I am currently working on becoming credentialed as a NP so I am no longer working a full time job, making me free almost any day. I have a fenced in yard with 2 friendly dogs but am also available to come to your home as needed! I have a home of my own as well so I know the importance of keeping the home safe and clean for our little friends.
