This was our first time being away from Howie, and naturally we were a little nervous—but they made the entire experience so reassuring from start to finish. While we were away, our return flight ended up getting canceled multiple times, leaving us stranded for an additional three days. What could have been an incredibly stressful situation was made so much easier because they immediately stepped in without hesitation and continued caring for Howie like he was their own. They consistently reassured us that he was safe, happy, and well cared for until we could finally make it home. On top of that, we received dozens of pictures and videos throughout our trip, which truly meant so much—especially as first-time dog parents leaving him behind. Seeing Howie relaxed, playing, and clearly loved gave us total peace of mind. It’s rare to find someone you can trust so completely with your dog, but we absolutely did here. About: I had cats till I was 21 and moved to Florida. Just as I mentioned in my primary experience box, I worked for ARL Boston. I've assisted cats in recovering from relatively simple/short recovery surgeries such as spays and neuters to more difficult/long recovery procedures such as enucleations and whole mouth tooth extractions. I've also cared for cats with FIV, renal disease, III obesity, third-degree burns, ear infections, URIs, parasites (fleas, ringworm, and giardia), and diabetes. I can clip nails, perform basic grooming, and offer owners any guidance and support they need in regards to their pets behavior, health, and overall care if they need it.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. Currently in my house, we have 3 dogs and 2 cats that I help take care of. I have been on Rover for about 6 years. About: We have a large, very clean, and safe home with a big backyard. There are plenty of trails and sidewalks for walking around our house as well as a variety of parks nearby we can visit. I stay at home and will be available all day to supervise care for your dog(s). My three teenage kids will help provide care and are very responsible, loving, and diligent caretakers. Our own 2 small (4 lb) chihuahuas, Mocha & Lacey, are used to having other dogs around. When your dog(s) stay with us, you can be sure that they will be well loved, safe, and welcomed into the family as one of our own! About: We first adopted a 12 year old dog from the shelter and at the age of 17, we had to put him down. It broke our hearts and decided to adopt others in his (Juno) memory. My husband and I have adopted 5 dogs since then and they are a great pack. We have a large yard and doggy door so they can come and go as they please. They go for walks and they're very well mannered, socialized dogs. I graduated from Animal Behavior College in May 2017 and train dogs as well and I'd be able to help with training if needed. We've been fostering dogs for over 5 years and love knowing we're helping them become socialized and able to find them forever homes.

You may pack bedding and a couple favorite toys if you think your pup will be more at home but I have found that none of the pups are interested in those things when they come here so not necessary if you don’t want to pack so much. I have many items such as bowls, toys, bedding, treats, sprinklers for hot days, etc. I do not crate unless asked by owner. All pups need to be up to date on vaccines and rabies. I will need to take a copy of them and keep them on file here:) I am boarding full time! Pets are NEVER left alone or outside alone. We are fenced in the back yard also for some leash less fun! Your pets are cared for like my own family:) I am strict to pet owners requests and do not share food or treats that don’t belong to each pet so no one gets sick. (You may send their treats if you like it will only be given to them). Can give medications if needed.

About: I worked with ARL Boston, where I gained expertise on animal behavior and training, nutrition, and basic veterinary care procedures such as vaccinations, insulin injections, and treating a variety of ailments. I encountered a variety of animal breeds of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, from sharky puppies to old grouchy senior dogs who despise going inside after a good stroll. In addition, I majored in animal science in high school and am currently pursuing courses in animal behavior and zoology in college. I am available on weekdays and weekends with a minimum of one day's notice. On same-day notice, I may still be available and accepting requests, so please contact me. However, with shorter notice, it is less likely that I will be available. In the client's house, I’m going to use caution when meeting their animal (I am in their space and need to make a positive first impression). Even if they are known to be pleasant, I will still take my time getting to know them. This allows me to earn an animal's trust while ensuring that I am aware of their behavioral cues and handling preferences. Once mutual trust is established, we’ll have a great time enjoying all of their favorite activities together while staying safe.

I also currently have a dog of almost 4 years, so I understand the level of attention a dog may need especially in the training years. This was our first time being away from Howie, and naturally we were a little nervous—but they made the entire experience so reassuring from start to finish. While we were away, our return flight ended up getting canceled multiple times, leaving us stranded for an additional three days. What could have been an incredibly stressful situation was made so much easier because they immediately stepped in without hesitation and continued caring for Howie like he was their own. They consistently reassured us that he was safe, happy, and well cared for until we could finally make it home. On top of that, we received dozens of pictures and videos throughout our trip, which truly meant so much—especially as first-time dog parents leaving him behind. Seeing Howie relaxed, playing, and clearly loved gave us total peace of mind. It’s rare to find someone you can trust so completely with your dog, but we absolutely did here. I work from home majority of the time, allowing me to be flexible and attentive to your pet’s needs throughout the day and ensuring regular potty breaks and quality play time.
