About: Hello! My name is Walter and I, along with my human mom will be taking care of you at our lil pup paradise in Lower Algiers. My home is the perfect retreat while away from your family. If you stay here with me, I will be happy to share my yard and all my favorite sleeping spots with you! My house is quiet, with the occasional howls from my human that she calls “singing”. She loves listening to music, gardening, playing games, making art and taking walks around the neighborhood. 🤎, Walter (the dog) I am currently working part-time. On days I am open for boarding, I will never be gone more than a couple hours at a time. All dogs will be separated in their own cozy rooms if we leave the home. No dogs will ever be left alone or unattended outdoors. My home is secure and fully fenced. I have a screened in back porch, too. You’ll find me in the back yard often; I love to garden. Inside we have the ability to close off rooms and general areas, in case your pup wants some personal space. I allow dogs in most rooms of the house and they have the ability to sleep where they feel most comfortable. I want this to be a peaceful, zen like experience for your pet. I will not board more than 2 dogs at any one time to make sure I am giving your pup enough quality time in a quiet environment.
“ I'm so glad that Jeaux and I had the opportunity to book with Ms. Elena. She also has a Toy Chihuahua named Paco and they became like "three peas in a pod!” My drop-off day was very hectic and behind schedule due to me preparing to go out of town, but Ms.Elena was pleasant and patient with me. When we arrived to her home, we were welcomed into a beautiful, clean space with Southern Hospitality galore! During the stay she emailed me updates along with pics and videos of their playtime. Once I arrived home she offered to meet me at a convenient location to drop-off my baby, that she now calls “her baby”, since we lived a bit of a distance from one another. Sooo sweet...but that's not the best part. When I received Jeaux he had been bathed, his bed and towel washed and she even sent him home with his favorite toy from the visit! If you want someone to treat your dog like their own, this is the place. My experience with Ms. Elena was pleasant from start to finish and I would highly recommend her services. About: I've always loved animals and am naturally compassionate. While growing up my family had a small breed dog, and I personally owned hamsters and fish which I was the sole caretaker of. About: After a tragically pet-free childhood, I've spent the last 20 years seeking out any opportunity to care for animals—from free dog walking for friends and cat-sitting for vacationing pals to hiking with hounds and being a designated vet chauffeur. About: I've had pets my entire life. I'm retired now and travel extensively for part of the year, so I'm unable to have pets of my own and thought this would be a great way to keep busy while I am in town. I have a doggy door and a large, gated backyard for games of fetch or hide and seek. I will provide a safe, loving home while you are away or drop-in if you so choose. When I'm in NOLA, I often work part-time from home. I'm retired so you could call me a homebody, and I'm often found working in my garden. In the fourth quarter of the year, I do travel until thanksgiving but will keep my calendar here updated. I am relatively flexible with scheduling. My son recently moved and took his Boston Terrier with him, so there are no longer any pets in my home. I have a large, fenced yard perfect for games of hide-and-seek or fetch, and I'm often in the back as well working on my garden. I do not have any plants that would present a danger. I love to take long, daily walks on the levee, which is only two blocks away...and would love to bring your pet along! I often have family visit, who also love pets.

I’ve been helping our community and saving the lives of animals for about 6 years now. Being an experienced animal control officer has given me skills, knowledge, compassion and understanding for not just our pets but also our pet owners. During my time as an officer I have taken care of so many animals from fostering them through my shelter or pet sitting through family , friends and clients. I have taken care of all age ranges of dogs and cats. I’ve given daily medication to pets as needed and I also have experience with rehabilitating animals. I could train your pet to respond to basic commands or become potty trained. I work full time, but as an Animal Control officer I patrol the streets and respond to calls which allows me to be super flexible to take care of your pet. About: Hi! I’ve had dogs my entire life and they’ve always been at the center of my world. My most recent pup, Effy, was with me for 15 years — she was truly the love of my life. While I’m not quite ready to have a dog of my own again, I couldn’t imagine my life without them, which is why I’m so excited to be here on Rover! Your pet will be loved and cared for like my own. I can’t wait to meet them I work from home Monday–Friday, so your pet will have my full attention throughout the day — no long stretches alone. I am able to work remotely so care during the day is no issue. I live in an apartment in Meraux above my dad’s office, so while there’s no yard, we have plenty of space to get outside for walks. There are stairs, but I’m happy to carry pets up and down as needed.

I cared for my own dog in her later years when she developed back leg problems. I helped her move around the house, made sure she was comfortable, and gave her lots of love and patience every day. About: I’ve had plenty of experiences with both dogs and cats over the years. From feeding medications, to daily walking, to taking care of my own dog, I’ve always had a genuine heart for animals. I’m currently flexible, I am an ultrasound student at the university, looking for part-time side gigs for furry ones! I can usually make any time work with a 1-2 day notice. But this time, Jessica went above and beyond as Hurricane Francine came through while I was out of town. Even as Jessica faced her own challenges at home because of the storm, she never stopped giving top-notch care to my silly, very quirky, and sometimes a little wild rescue puppy. We understand that our younger pup has some issues getting along with others but he was able to keep the peace with all the pups and that's a bit of a feat because she can be ALOT.
