“We are so thankful for Jon! He did an INCREDIBLE job watching our pack of 4 poms over our wedding weekend! We have never used Rover before or left our dogs overnight and were pretty nervous. We even got on a call with Jon prior to booking and he was more than willing to answer our millions of questions. He was flexible with drop off and pick up times (we drove into NOLA from STL) and was so patient with my "helicopter parent" husband that wanted to set up their beds himself and was so anxious to leave them. Jon's house is also on a side street that made drop off really easy. We received multiple updates and the cutest photos the whole weekend! Our pack definitely had a great time. They loved the backyard! We have a senior dog with mobility issues that he was very careful with, and another pom with some hearing and vision loss and he was wonderful with both. It was very obvious that Jon loves dogs and took care of our fur babies like they were his own! When we picked the pups up he had everything packed up which was a huge time saver since we were driving back home. He had even ran one of our blankets through the dryer so they would have a warm spot to lay since the weather had gotten cold that morning! It is so difficult to trust someone else with your animals, and we were lucky to find such a caring and thoughtful Rover. “This is the 3rd time we have used Claire and we would continuously use her if it weren’t for us moving. She sends pictures every single day. Our cats are terrified of strangers but they’ve grown to love her which has surprised us COMPLETELY. Not because of the person she is but because that’s how scared our cats are of strangers. She takes amazing care of them and nothing less. My cats are always so, so happy when we come home (because they get to see us but more because they got to have a friend to hang out with for a few days to get away from their parents) and they’re well fed. She takes the time to play with them and make sure they’re active. She is always asking questions if things she can do for them to make them happier, or maybe ask about other toys we have to stimulate them. She’s a pet lover and it shows. About: Hey there! I’m Sarah. I'm so excited to be here on Rover! I have been surrounded by animals my entire life. My mom was a rescue manager, so naturally, her love for furbabies poured over to me, as well. I grew up helping my mom with our furfamily, fosters, and I even went with her when she was pet sitting for family, friends, and neighbors. I wanted to be as much help as I could to my mom and them. Tho my mom doesn’t pet sit anymore, she is still my go to and may come with me from time to time to help. In mentioning my mom, she drinks coffee out of a mug that reads, "I WILL SAVE THEM ALL." My duties are basically stopping in to make sure pets are fed, have fresh water, and most importantly, feel cared for while their humans are away. About: My family has had at least one dog in our house since I was born. Everybody in my family has dogs. I have a few family members that rely on me to help them with their dogs when they need it. Everyone in my family treats their pets like they are humans and I do just the same! I am currently in between jobs so I’m available pretty much whenever. I do have my own dog at home so I prefer to not stay somewhere for a long, extended period of time. I am pretty flexible with that though so just ask me and I’ll let you know if it’s doable! I have a fenced in yard. I have a 14 year old rescue that just mainly stays to herself. There is a 1 year old Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix now living here as well, under the care of someone else that’s not me, however she is very rambunctious with other dogs. I am between jobs and exploring what comes next, so I’m available all the time to love and care for your pups while you are at work or on vacation. I have a fenced backyard that pups can run around in. I am liberal with giving treats, but will absolutely respect and follow what your dog’s feeding and treat needs are. I love engaging with pups and learning their personalities, so they won’t be ignored in any way while they are with me. Senior dogs are welcome.
About: I’ve had dogs and cats in my life since I was a kid, so caring for animals comes naturally to me. One thing that sets me apart is my experience with senior and younger pets. I cared for my own dog in her later years when she developed back leg problems. I helped her move around the house, made sure she was comfortable, and gave her lots of love and patience every day. I additionally took care of my other dog in her early months waking up multiple times nightly to calm her down. Whether it’s a high-energy puppy or a senior pet needing extra care, I’m confident in handling all kinds of needs. I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the week, so I’m able to care for pets whenever needed. About: I’ve always adored pets since I was young. I’ve had many in my life from cats,dogs,and rodents. I know animals are equal beings that need treatment with special accommodations. This requires patience which is almost unlimited for me.i currently have three cats that I’ve owned since they were 3-4 months old they’re now 6. I just got rats a few weeks ago they’re girls 6-8 months old. I believe everything follows a routine dedicated to them and I have no issue aligning myself to these routines. I’m still finishing high school at the moment and I have a job. But besides managing those I’m available weekdays after 4 if I’m not scheduled to work, weekends any time I keep my babies inside as much as possible. They’re allowed to free roam outside since they’re used to that lifestyle from before. They wear flee collars, jam is allergic. I cleanse them with daily grooming and anima safe wipes or soap if necessary. They’re fed 2-3 a day with half a cup or less of cat food I do plan to change their diets eventually. When it comes to other people’s pets I treat them with nothing but love and care and always stay considerate of whatever the owner says I should know about that animal. I’m extremely against cruelty brand products so I will avoid associating or using them.
About: Hey there! I’m Sarah. I'm so excited to be here on Rover! I have been surrounded by animals my entire life. My mom was a rescue manager, so naturally, her love for furbabies poured over to me, as well. I grew up helping my mom with our furfamily, fosters, and I even went with her when she was pet sitting for family, friends, and neighbors. I wanted to be as much help as I could to my mom and them. Tho my mom doesn’t pet sit anymore, she is still my go to and may come with me from time to time to help. In mentioning my mom, she drinks coffee out of a mug that reads, "I WILL SAVE THEM ALL." I love that mug! We have a furfamily of 5 dogs and 2 cats. I love them all so much and am grateful for each of them. They make me smile from ear to ear on a daily basis. I also work full-time 3 to 1130 Thursday-Monsay. I could work on my off days, which is Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but that has to be midday visits/walks Available Thursday-Monday 7 AM to 3 PM. Of note, I will always do my very best to give plenty of notice for days I will not be available (ie. Holidays and personal time off, etc.). I offer drop-in services only. I am excited to have this opportunity to be there for you. I understand how important it is to be able to trust who takes care of your furbabies. I will indeed take care of your furbabies as if they were a part of my family.
About: I’ve had pets my whole life growing up! I got my first on cat (Katniss) as a freshman in college, and she is now 12 years old and thriving well! I got my first dog (Albus) the next year and he is a 106 pounds black lab who is also doing very well. I am a teacher so I am off from June-July 20 all day, every day. I can show up on short notice and stay for extended periods if needed! My schedule for the next 2 months is extremely flexible, and I’m willing to work with your schedule as well! I have a dog and a cat of my own, so I’m very experienced caring for multiple pets in a home environment. I have a condo in Metairie a block from the levee where I can take a dog on a good walk, and my parents house in mandeville with a fenced yard where pets can safely play and get fresh air. I can easily crate your dog or cat if needed, follow any specific feeding, medication, or routine instructions, and provide plenty of love, attention, and enrichment. About: Throughout my life I have pet sat dogs, cats, rats, bunnies, and reptiles such as bearded dragons and currently work at a doggy daycare/vet. Not only do I have experience caring for animals in a home but I also have experience caring for animals at work and feeding and bathing/exercising them. I am a pretty busy gal but I still have time for your pets! I work Sunday through Monday either 8:30-5, 7:30-4 or 7-3:30. Im off on Feidays and Saturdays. “We are so thankful for Jon! He did an INCREDIBLE job watching our pack of 4 poms over our wedding weekend! We have never used Rover before or left our dogs overnight and were pretty nervous. We even got on a call with Jon prior to booking and he was more than willing to answer our millions of questions. He was flexible with drop off and pick up times (we drove into NOLA from STL) and was so patient with my "helicopter parent" husband that wanted to set up their beds himself and was so anxious to leave them. Jon's house is also on a side street that made drop off really easy. We received multiple updates and the cutest photos the whole weekend! Our pack definitely had a great time. They loved the backyard! We have a senior dog with mobility issues that he was very careful with, and another pom with some hearing and vision loss and he was wonderful with both. It was very obvious that Jon loves dogs and took care of our fur babies like they were his own! When we picked the pups up he had everything packed up which was a huge time saver since we were driving back home. He had even ran one of our blankets through the dryer so they would have a warm spot to lay since the weather had gotten cold that morning! It is so difficult to trust someone else with your animals, and we were lucky to find such a caring and thoughtful Rover. “Miss Regina is wonderful! She is the sweetest. Miss Regina sent us lots of pictures which we personally LOVED. Barbie almost always has to warm up to everyone. She is not normally trusting right off the bat. BUT not this time! Barbie sniffed her house up and down which made us know she was very comfortable. She instantly took treats from Miss Regina and let me tell you she is not easily won over with treats. She’s a rescue and we don’t know her background exactly, but has some trust issues at times. There was something special about Miss Regina and her home because Barbie will almost always let us know when she’s ready to go and lead us right to the door but on our meet and greet she was so relaxed. Barbie was always smiling in her pictures and from the day we did our meet and greet in Miss Regina’s home she made herself comfortable and slept with her on day 1 when she doesn’t normally do this. We have been told by other sitters that she’s slept in their living room before gradually warming up to the bedroom room. So this tells me that Miss Regina is a WINNER! We always use her when we can and recommend her to others. THANK YOU for loving on our girl.”
