I took her in from a man I helped on a call at work. He had to have his leg amputated and had no family to take her at the time. 22 years as a police officer 17 years as a helicopter crew chief in the USAF I had a miniature pinscher who was diabetic and had cushings. I also have three dogs who currently need medications. I am able to administer medications. My dogs are all different energy levels and each dog has its own personality. I understand every dog is different 😁 I understand different work shifts and needs. Will offer military, police, and first responder discounts. I retired after 20 years of policing in NY. I am currently back working for another PD here in KY but I am in the process of going back to retired life. I spend a lot of time with my pups. When I do have class I’m home a lot between classes and have time to check on animals every 2 hours. I live near campus so I can take your pet on walks around campus or to the park. I live in a pet free and smoke free apartment and can easily crate your pet if needed.
About: I have always had at least one dog growing up. I started watching dogs (walking during the day or while babysitting) at 10 years old, and house-sitting by 15 (overnight at the dog's house). My childhood dog started receiving daily to twice-daily insulin injections by the time he turned 12, so I am comfortable giving injections. I also have had to give dogs pills orally. My current dog, Wesley, is particularly finnicky about treats, so if he has to take a pill I had to wrap it in wet food and hand feed to him - if your dog is the same way, I am used to "prince"/"princess" dogs :) I have watched my friends' dogs in Denver and it's been great! I am open to having them at my house (preferable for sitting during the week since I have work) or at your place. My job allows me to routinely work from home depending on my schedule and I am located in Littleton (near Chatfield and Ken Caryl areas). When I’m working from home I’ll be able to let the pup out throughout the day, as well as provide love and attention. If I am going into the office, I am usually away no longer than 9 hours. I’ll be sure to walk, play, or do whatever to make up for my time away! I’m pretty laid back with dogs and don’t get really upset if there’s an accident in the house, as I know they can’t help it. However, if there are certain words or commands you use for certain behaviors, please let me know so I can be consistent with your house. The same goes for walking - I usually am firm and keep the dogs on one side and close to me. If you have a certain side you like your dog to be on or words to use while walking, just let me know and I'll incorporate! I will attempt to make your dog's stay as home-like as possible by keeping their schedule, saying certain words/commands, and giving them lots of love and attention! I'm a very flexible and easy going sitter. If I am in town and you need someone last minute, I'm open to that. Have a question? Feel free to reach out and ask! About: I have 2 years of experience as a veterinary assistant, and over my life I have had 2 dogs and 2 cats. I currently live with my adorable kitty. I love my cat so much and I would give your dog the same amount of care and love :) I am a college student and have class in the morning. On Wednesday and Fridays my day ends around 3:30 but the other days end between 10-12. Preferred to go into the client's home since I have pets myself. If you have specific requests for your animal, I try to abide by that as best as possible. With dogs, I prefer to always keep them on a leash outside if there is no fenced yard.
About: I have been caring of a variety fur babies since I was a kid. I have experience with working with both younger and older fur babies. I am currently working full time while coming my masters online in counseling so I do have flexibility with working overnights. If need more availability please contact me. About: I have raised and been around pets since my childhood. I can care for pups all Breeds, all sizes, and ages. I have a lot of experience with senior dogs, aggressive breeds and dogs recovering from surgery. Also have good skills with cage training and pad training puppies. In my home I have two fur babies of my own that get along well with others of all breeds and 3 large crates and dog beds if needed for your fur child. I live less than 2 minutes away from Jacobson park where I normally take my pup for walks and runs. I’m currently working part time, so I’ll have plenty of playtime for your pups. I won’t be away from home no longer than 4 hours at a time. I work for myself doing cleaning and instacart orders so my schedule is pretty flexible I live in a 3 bedroom home with a fenced in yard with plenty of room to play. I also have a spare room for any pups that may be recovering from surgery or don’t do well with others. My mother periodically visits my home and enjoys playing and spending time with the dogs as well
About: I have been around pets my whole life, but dogs are my favorite! I love them all, from puppies to the senior friends. I regularly care for my family dogs and I have experience caring for friends dogs and I have several regular clients. I have experience with puppy care and training, bathing, feeding, and administering medication. I also have experience with senior dog care nearing the end of life and all others in between. I have no trouble creating the special bond needed with most dog personalities. Dogs are truly our best friends! I play and exercise my own dogs daily. I understand the importance of keeping dogs engaged, healthy, and active. I do have a part-time job, but schedules are flexible given enough notice. I am so excited to care for your pup! I like to make sure the doggie is a happy, tired doggie when I do have to leave them. They love me and know fun is in store when I’m around. I play fetch and frisbee in the backyard and go on long walks around the neighborhood. If we can’t be outside I’ll play games with them indoors to challenge their minds and keep them occupied. Then of course there’s snuggle time together until they’re ready to nap or go to sleep in their crates or bed.
