We reached out on extremely short notice for an overnight stay for our deaf, likely vision-impaired, fearful bully mix puppy, and Ashley and her family welcomed her into their home with open arms and all the chew goats she could imagine. They have several amazing dogs of their own, which ended up being such a great experience for our puppy. She was able to socialize, play, and experience all the normal puppy things we hoped she could have in a safe and loving environment. Honestly, I think she may have been more comfortable there than she is at our home! She did so well there. Their house is incredibly dog-friendly. Their dogs are clearly part of the family, and they gave our puppy so much patience, love, and reassurance even though she can be nervous, unsure, or reactive at times. Their backyard is basically a dream setup for dogs, with room to relieve themselves, run and play safely. I got so many updates and photos of my dog smiling and having an amazing time with their pups and getting naps. She had such a good time! I truly cannot recommend Ashley highly enough. “It is honestly hard to put into words how great an experience I had with Lois without sounding hyperbolic. She was a perfect guardian of my home, my kitties, and my anxious heart. I'd never left my kitties for even a night, and I'd never used a sitting service but was offered the chance to visit my son in the Netherlands for 3 weeks and I couldn't pass it up. I just needed to feel at peace with how I left things at home. Lois was wonderful. She came over early for a meet and greet, and it was immediately obvious she is a kind, intelligent, and gentle person. I have two cats from a horrible hoarding situation who have taken years to feel safe, and they both took to her immediately! My stray, who came to me barely weaned, took a while but even he came around (he is scared of the cars going by the house). She took notes! (Something I always wished people I trained at work would do) Lois and I chatted a bit fairly frequently via a chat app, and she always sent what she called "proof of life" pictures, all of which were so dear. (One was of the kitties waking her up one morning. Such a typical thing in my home, and its normalcy was what made it great. That, and someone just waking up having the presence of mind to grab their phone and record this little domestic scene!) In our chats, just by the way she talked about my kitties it was VERY clear she'd quickly picked up on their personalities, quirks, and needs. The very language she used talking about how they were doing made it obvious she was talking about my kitties, and not just generic kitty language. And she left my home cleaner than I left it for her. While this is not the highest bar (lol) it was so nice to come home after 3 weeks, and an entire day of travel, to a clean, sweet smelling home with clean sheets on the bed! And a bowl of grapes on the counter to snack on (yes, I mentioned grapes and string cheese in our meet and greet. She listened!) I enjoyed Lois. I enjoyed our chats over and above talking about the kitties. She was clearly comfortable and cared about guardianship of my odd, quirky little house. Coming home I would not have known someone stayed here except that my cats were just as happy, fat, and sassy as they were when I left. I would recommend Lois without reservation. I feel like I have added a person in my life that I know I can count on if I need her, and if I ever need someone to care for my kitties it is really nice to know she is there. The comfort and peace she offered while I was on my magical adventure with my son was priceless. Thank you Lois!”

About: I’ve been a dog groomer for 1 year. That’s allowed me to learn many different dog breeds, as well as different behaviors styles and techniques for safety in dogs and cats. I’ve watched multiple animal at a time for 10+ years. I pride myself in following a strict schedule that’s given, as well as being sure medication is given if needed and animals are safe during the duration under my care. Taking videos and pictures to be sent while the owner is away is a given for me to make owners feel at ease while being away. I make sure they're well fed and watered at scheduled times throughout the day if needed. I ensure they receive adequate play and exercise, whether outdoors or inside. I keep reminders and alarms at the ready to ensure everything is done in a timely fashion as well!

About: I have been taking care of animals since I was 8 but began house sitting when I turned 16. I have experienced taking care of dogs, cats , horses and even chickens. while looking after your fur babies they will be given excellent care as if they were my own. A love to photograph animals so with my care come a free mini photoshoot. With your permission of course! My 1 year old black lab absolutely loves to play with others. So if your pup needs a buddy to burn off some energy she’s your pup . I work 6:30am to 2:30pm but I’m free the rest of the time to do pop in or walks. If I’m staying at your house I bring in my own food and drink. And stay with your fur baby the whole time. If I’m in home sitting I do a minimum of 3 30 min walks a day. 1 before work ,after work and before bed. And depending on your fur babies energy I’ll add in extra play time if needed. I’m stuck to strictly feeding schedules so whatever time you have them eat I’ll make sure to do they same. To help keep them in their normal routine. If I’m doing a drop in I can go walks /runs for about an hour unless you need me to take them for more time.

We reached out on extremely short notice for an overnight stay for our deaf, likely vision-impaired, fearful bully mix puppy, and Ashley and her family welcomed her into their home with open arms and all the chew goats she could imagine. She was able to socialize, play, and experience all the normal puppy things we hoped she could have in a safe and loving environment. Honestly, I think she may have been more comfortable there than she is at our home! She did so well there. Their house is incredibly dog-friendly. Their dogs are clearly part of the family, and they gave our puppy so much patience, love, and reassurance even though she can be nervous, unsure, or reactive at times. Their backyard is basically a dream setup for dogs, with room to relieve themselves, run and play safely. I got so many updates and photos of my dog smiling and having an amazing time with their pups and getting naps. She had such a good time! I truly cannot recommend Ashley highly enough.
