“This was our first rover experience- our two dogs stayed with Maria and her family for about 4 days.Maria was happy to do a meet and greet before hand a couple months prior. The day we were dropping the dogs off my female who hasn’t been spayed yet started her menstrual cycle, I was so worried we were going to have to cancel our flights because I totally wouldn’t blame Maria if they didn’t want to keep her while she was wearing a diaper. But Maria was happy to still take both pups for the weekend and I am so thankful. My lab is a high energy gal and did great. We got pictures and updates multiple times a day of their walks and playing in the back yard. They seem happy and content after their stay with Maria and I cannot recommend her more. We have another stay booked with her already. So thankful to find someone to leave my pups with who we trust and can feel at ease leaving them with.”

Dewey can be anxious in new settings but she was able to provide one-on-one attention that helps him adjust. She also provided appropriate stimulation such as walks, outside time and toys. About: I have had pets all my life and I absolutely love caring for them, playing with them, all of it. I've had lots of experience with cats and dogs of all sizes and activity levels. (i grew up with 2 pugs and have my own cat as well as a german puppy and 2-year-old rescue mutt at home) I am punctual and a very caring and patient person. I'd love to spend my life working with animals and I feel like this could be a good start for me ! my availability is super flexible so if need be we can figure out a schedule that works for both of us and fits well into our busy lives ! I reached out pretty last minute with a request that wasn’t exactly simple—she had to pick Ghost up from his training facility (not from me) and coordinate all of that seamlessly. On top of that, she even helped me sort out a small payment detail on Rover to make sure everything reflected correctly, which she absolutely didn’t have to do. She was super responsive, easy to work with, and just handled everything without friction. And the best part—Ghost lit up the second he saw her again after a few months, which tells you everything you need to know. Somehow she manages all of this while caring for multiple dogs at once and raising a young family, which honestly makes it even more impressive. Highly recommend giving Jackie a shot.”

About: I have always loved every different kind of animal out there, but spent my childhood with mostly just cats. 15 years ago, I adopted my first puppy, a German Short-haired Pointer, at the age of 8 weeks. My ex-husband and I decided to take the "treatless training" approach which was a huge success! Crate training, leash training, obedience training were all a collaborative effort and turned out extremely well. 10 years later, we adopted a sweet rescue named Gizmo who was already 7 years old, but became part of the family immediately. They have both passed on now to doggy heaven, but I am always the first to offer to care for other family member's pets anytime I can :) I'm currently working part-time from my home in Blackberry Creek and always have time for some fur-ball company. My 2 girls, 7 and 10 years old, are with me part time and are also very helpful, gentle and patient with our pets and hopefully yours! I have a fenced back yard with plenty of room for your fur-baby to play and exercise! If it better suits you, I can always come to your home as well for potty and play time :) UPDATE 6/8/26 - Since starting my Rover journey in 2022, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many amazing pets and their wonderful families. Along the way, our household has grown and changed in ways I never expected. In 2023, one of my regular Rover pups (actually a senior pup) became a permanent part of our family. Tigger’s owner had rescued him from a Chicago Animal Shelter just months before I began caring for him. As a 100 lb. Staffordshire Terrier, Great Dane, Bully, etc. mix, Tigger was a big boy with an even bigger heart. His owner dedicated to helping him become the best version of himself, especially since he wasn’t always comfortable around other dogs. With patience, training, and love, he blossomed into the sweetest, gentlest giant you could imagine. When his owner unexpectedly passed away, her husband reached out to ask if I would consider adopting Tigger. My answer was immediate: absolutely. I couldn’t bear the thought of him returning to a shelter. Bringing Tiggy into our family was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My girls and I were lucky enough to love, spoil, and cherish him for three wonderful years before he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We miss him every day, but are so grateful for the time we had together. Since then, we’ve also welcomed two adorable brother cats into our home. They keep us smiling and full our days with plenty of fun and affection. While our family has grown, we’re excited to have some doggy energy back in the house through Rover! When your pup stays with us, they’ll be welcomed with open arms and treated like a part of the family. We understand how much your pets mean to you because we’ve experienced firsthand just how special that bond can be. Our promise is simple: we’ll care for your furry family member with the same love, attention, and respect that we give our own. About: First things first: I only accept 1 canine guest at a time. I have a fun-loving 3 yr old Black Labrador who is as excited for new guests as I am. I'm home 24/7 and have a large enclosed back yard for playtime. Come by anytime for a visit and check out the environs if you're thinking of boarding. I work from home 24/7. Weekdays/weekends start at 6:00 AM and the day wraps up from 9:00-10:00 PM. I have more than enough availability to give your dog all the attention it needs. I have a large, enclosed back yard that's big enough for a good run, and a very friendly 3 yr old black labrador who loves guests. We often go to the Batavia Dog Park on Main for summer swims in the spring-fed pond if that's something you're interested in. If you haven't ascertained this by now, I only accept 1 canine guest at a time, so rest assured your pup will have plenty of attention and minimal risk of negative interactions that could result from an unrestricted boarding environment. I keep my house very clean; if you suspect your pup is having any issues with fleas please bring that to my attention.

About: My pet sitting experience dates back to when I was 10 years old. I would take care of neighbors, friends, and family pets. Whether they were dogs or cats, big or small, I’ve done it all! Growing up I’ve had cats, but since last year I’ve been the proud fur mom to a sweet golden retriever. Prior to getting him, I worked for Wag! and would do dog walks and drop-in visits. I’m a full time nurse working 4 days a week, but I have one day off during the week to help and I’m free most weekends! If booking for boarding, my husband works from home so someone is always home with your pet. In my home, I have the sweetest Golden Retriever who likes to befriend every dog (and human!). About: I've been around animals for as long as I can remember. We've had cats, a dog, and several guinea pigs so I am familiar with their behaviors. I've been pet sitting through Rover now for almost 3 years. I’ve volunteered at anderson animal shelter with the cats and a few years ago I volunteered in the wildlife department there and learned to feed baby birds. I have incubated three different litters of abandoned duck eggs and raised them for about a week before giving them to the shelter to live a proper duck life. I currently am not employed but I am in nursing school at Aurora University. Im still able to petsit if it works with my class and clinical schedule. This summer I’ll be available full time! I make sure every animal is well cared for. I have lots of patience for animals and will do whatever is necessary to make sure they eat and go potty. About: I've been caring for animals for over 12 years, starting with my own dog, Lola. Since both of my parents worked, I was often responsible for feeding her, taking her on walks, playing with her, and making sure she was well cared for. That experience taught me responsibility from a young age and helped me develop a genuine love for animals. Since then, I've cared for pets for friends, family, and neighbors, including dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities. I understand that every pet has unique needs, and I always strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. I am currently home for the summer, which means my availability is very flexible and I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pets. Once summer ends, I will be continuing my pilot training and taking online courses through Lewis University. Even then, my schedule will remain flexible, allowing me to continue providing reliable and attentive care for your pets. I have a fenced yard and one dog of my own, Phoebe, who is incredibly friendly and loves being around other dogs. She can play all day long and does a great job helping other dogs feel comfortable in a new environment! If your pet will be staying in my home, I would be more than happy to arrange a meet and greet beforehand so they can get to know Phoebe and make sure everyone is a good fit. Your pet's safety and well being are always my top priorities, and I will follow any routines or instructions you provide to help them feel right at home!
About: I have had pets all my life and I absolutely love caring for them, playing with them, all of it. I've had lots of experience with cats and dogs of all sizes and activity levels. (i grew up with 2 pugs and have my own cat as well as a german puppy and 2-year-old rescue mutt at home) I am punctual and a very caring and patient person. I'd love to spend my life working with animals and I feel like this could be a good start for me ! my availability is super flexible so if need be we can figure out a schedule that works for both of us and fits well into our busy lives ! I look forward to meeting you and your wonderful pets ! As of right now, I am currently unemployed and not in school or training either so I have wide open availability to work with you ! “This was our first rover experience- our two dogs stayed with Maria and her family for about 4 days.Maria was happy to do a meet and greet before hand a couple months prior. The day we were dropping the dogs off my female who hasn’t been spayed yet started her menstrual cycle, I was so worried we were going to have to cancel our flights because I totally wouldn’t blame Maria if they didn’t want to keep her while she was wearing a diaper. But Maria was happy to still take both pups for the weekend and I am so thankful. My lab is a high energy gal and did great. We got pictures and updates multiple times a day of their walks and playing in the back yard. They seem happy and content after their stay with Maria and I cannot recommend her more. We have another stay booked with her already. So thankful to find someone to leave my pups with who we trust and can feel at ease leaving them with.”

Dewey can be anxious in new settings but she was able to provide one-on-one attention that helps him adjust. She also provided appropriate stimulation such as walks, outside time and toys. The experience with Rover and especially with Morgan, was so much better for us, and more importantly for Dewey!”

About: I’ve had pets my whole life, and I love caring for animals! I’m willing to do anything to be the best “critter sitter” for you and your family. My husband and I moved to Batavia this summer from Chicago, and I’d love to care for your pets as I build my community here! I work full time with a nonprofit in Aurora, but I am able to utilize my lunch break for dog walking needs or drop-in visits! For week days, I’m available before 8am and after 5pm. We also have a fenced-in yard if you’d prefer your dog come to our home. I have been a pet sitter many times in other homes and for my parents’ animals. I will take time to play and walk them, and of course attentively feed and clean up after them. I do not currently have pets in my home.
