“Pepe came home soooo happy! He had a great time with Angela. He can't wait to go back in 3 weeks! This is the first time I've left him that he wasn't upset when he came home. Angela made me feel relieved and not worried about him being ignored or abused. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”
“Megan was fantastic! Tons of pictures, immediate responses while messaging and was flexible on time changes. Already planning to book again with Megan! Thank you so much for taking such excellent care of Moon.”
“Jae and her family were amazing to my sweet puppy. I could not have asked for a better family to take care of my dog; we felt absolutely blessed to have such a perfect home when we were gone. The entire family treated her like she was part of the family, and I always felt comforted on my vacation to receive pictures of my dog enjoying her days with her interim family. I will absolutely only use Jae now. And our dogs have become great friends too, so what an incredible bonus!”
“We were really happy with our decision to have Monica care for our two dogs during a weekend away. She was super responsive, flexible, and accommodating and it was obvious she loves animals and took very good care of them. Her house is very clean with lots of places for the dogs to relax, and her fenced backyard was perfect for playtime. Highly recommend!”
“Kim was wonderful sitter for Pepper. Pepper loves being at her place. The pictures and videos made us feel so happy knowing Pepper is being taken care well and look so happy. We definitely will book pepper again. Thank you Kim, you treated Pepper kike your own dog.”
“Sammy and Rico had a great time and felt at home! Id highly recommend boarding your dog or dogs with Stella. She gave regular updates with pics. Of the boys. Greatly appreciated that! Thank you”
“I'm sure everyone has those " Oh my god" kind of mornings. Hannah was sweet enough to listen our situation and watch Wasabi for a couple of days. Wasabi was so exited and had the best time.Huge thanks to Hannah!”
“Kyle was our first Rover boarding experience. It was important for us to find an in-home situation where our dog would be the only dog and wouldn’t be alone for extended periods of time. Kyle’s setup was a great fit for us. His work-from-home schedule provided consistency during her stay, and his calm demeanor helped her feel comfortable. At our meet-and-greet, she leaned into Kyle right away, which was a great sign since she can sometimes take a little time to warm up to new people. She seemed comfortable and settled during her stay, which was the most important thing to us. Kyle was responsive when we checked in about how she was doing and sent photo updates from their walks. She was well cared for, and we appreciated knowing she had someone looking after her attentively while we were away. We would certainly rebook with him.”
“Like you, I am a picky dog owner. I was thrilled to have found Jill on Rover.com. She lived very close to me actually, and I would not have known without this site! She was very friendly, with a clean and dog-friendly house. She had 2 fun dogs of her own, and within minutes, they seemed to bond quickly with my older girl. Jill sent me photos and updates of my dog while in her care, and was very accommodating when it came to giving pills and treats. I will be booking Jill any chance I have to need a dog sitter, and would recommend her highly to anyone looking for a good vacation spot for their fur-baby! A very good first experience for me on here! Annette and "Biscuit"”
“We were very happy to find Joanne and her family to care for our dog Tipper. They were very friendly and very complimentary of Tipper when we had our meet and greet. Tipper is a high energy pup and got along well with their dog Honey. Joanne sent daily updates with pictures which we appreciated. When we picked Tipper up she had all her things packed up and ready to go. We appreciated that because we were tired from our trip. We were also pleased that Tipper was tired too. This tells us she was given lots of attention and activity during her stay at Joanne’s. Tipper spent the afternoon and evening napping as we did too. We have already mentioned to Joanne that we’d like to use her again this summer. We highly recommend her as a great dog sitter!”
“Jessica is fantastic! She took our pup to the park and on her errands which made him very happy. Very communicative too the entire time with photos and videos. And she takes excellent photos to boot!”
“Cecilia is incredibly nice and positive. Our dog warmed up to her quickly and soon enough he was hanging out in bed with her. Her home has a nice layout with places for our boy to hang out. She communicates really well and sent us pictures daily. She is also really flexible for our travel plans. Highly rated.”
“Thanks to Rusty, I was at ease traveling for a few days with the dogs in his care. Rusty has a dog-friendly space indoors and out and was attentive to the dogs’ individual personality traits and needs. This was the first time I’ve left them with a sitter and both dogs responded well and appeared comfortable. It’s a huge relief to know that Rusty is available to care for my dogs if I need to be away.”

“My 1st time using rover and Amanda was amazing!! She was so detailed in all that she did and played with my 3 cats and took wonderful pictures which are great to see when you are away from your fur babies. Would definitely use her again. Highly recommend 😃”
“We had Kati watch our cat for a week while we went on vacation and she made us feel so comfortable doing so. She took great care of our pet and even went out of her way to clean up messes our cat made and took in our garbage cans. We will definitely use her again!”
“Mallory did a great job taking care of our kitties and turtle. They sent pictures and updates each day. The boxes and areas around them were clean when we returned. They also watered our many plants and brought in mail. Thank you!”
“Christina did such a great job taking care of our cat, Sox. It's clear that she is very knowledgeable about animal behavior, and it allowed us to have a worry-free trip. I especially enjoyed her clever and informative updates, the pictures she sent at each visit, and the fun video of Sox at play. He was happy to see us when we returned, and he showed no evidence of stress whatsoever. Christina proved to be very reliable, and I would not hesitate to ask her to check in on Sox the next time we're away!”
“Becca did a great job watching my cat—super responsive and easy to work with. Everything went smoothly, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again if I need a sitter. Highly recommend!”

“Kelsey watched our cat for a week while we were out of town. She was always on time, took great photos and took excellent care of “our boy.” An issue came up with our garage door opening on its own, and Kelsey quickly got in touch with us and manually closed the door. And she made sure our house was secure. She made us feel completely secure knowing our house and our cat were being taken care of. We would definitely use Kelsey’s services again.”
“This was our first time with Sandy watching our two cats and she was fantastic! She fed our cats, changed the litter, and sent pictures during her visit. We will definitely be using her in the future!”
“Alex was amazing with my kitten, Tupí! You can tell right away he has a real love and patience for animals. Tupí felt so comfortable at Alex’s place in the Museum District — he didn’t even want to leave when I came to pick him up! Alex kept me updated and made sure Tupí was happy, playful, and well cared for the entire stay. I definitely recommend him to anyone looking for someone who treats your pet like their own.”
“Delaney was great from start to finish! We were able to coordinate a meet & greet prior to the requested booking dates to ensure both parties got along well. My cat was well taken care of - and Delaney even helped out with the mail and weekly garbage/recycling pick up. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone needing their cat cared for while they’re away.”
“Sara is amazing. She sent me photos of my cats everyday which was a relief since this is the first time I had my cats at someone’s house. The next time I need someone to watch them I will 💯have her watch them. Thank you Sara for everything.”
“Once again, Anna went above and beyond looking after our sweet pets! I love that she always sent us daily updates on the visits and so much appreciated the sweet photos she took. She turned on & off our lights, opened & closed our curtains too.”
“Deidre is an awesome cat sitter. Our kitty Edison ("MiMi") was hiding from her during first few visits. We were thinking Edison and Deidre might never meet face to face during the 10-day drop-in visits. They ran into each other on day 4, but still kept some distance. The next day they became best friends. 😍 Thank you, Deidre for taking good care of MiMi!”
“Haven is amazing! She is very conscientious, always on time, very communicative and most importantly, she cares very much about the happiness and well being of your pet. She’s the best pet sitter we’ve ever used!”

“Thank you for another great walk with Ruby. We were gone the entire day and had Christina come twice to walk Ruby. Both walks went well and Christina is a great communicator and handles Ruby well!”
“Christine was great! I met her ahead of time and instantly liked her. My dog did too. Everything ran smoothly and I loved getting the photos she sent. I’ll surely use her again.”
“Ryan is great with our dogs. He is gentle and kind with them. He walks them and takes pictures of the walks with their report card. Ryan is great at communicating and is very timely. We are grateful for his partnership with our dogs”
“Deidre was AMAZING with my with two pups and can’t RECOMMEND her enough! Unfortunately, one of my dogs became very ill before I left for vacation and required extensive, round the clock care. Deirdre was able to administer all of the medications, stick to the strict food regimen, come by every 2 hours to check in, and even cleaned up all of the accidents from my sick pup. :/ She kept me updated throughout the trip with texts and pictures, asked questions when needed, and when my other dog sitter fell through at last minute, she was able to rearrange her schedule to cover. Overall, I am very grateful for her help and it truly put my mind at ease knowing Deirdre could be there to take care of them! Thank you again!”
About: I grew up with dogs, cats, bunnies, and other animals in-between! In the last 17 years, I've been a cat mom, and recently had a dog with my ex-partner (who I still care for when they're out of town). The only constant in my life has been animals, and I get such a joy out of playing with them, taking them on walks, cuddles, and seeing their personalities come out. I used to work at a pet store (back in the day), and in the last 5 years, actually helped stray dogs + cats in my neighborhood find incredible families. I know basic dog training (like sit, stay, break, etc), and I'm quick to learn whatever else you do with your dog or cat to make their time as normal as possible as you're away. I work from home during the week and can take care of walking, feeding, and socialization. I'm also a performing musician so I travel around the Chicago-land area frequently. I like to keep your pet's day as normal as possible. I understand how nerve-wracking it can be for pet parents and the pets when there's disruption in their routine, so I try to do everything as it normally is - feeding, walking, training, giving treats, etc.

“Hanna was wonderful with Jaxx on his first walk. He was shy at first since he’d never had a walker before, but her calm and patient approach helped him warm up quickly. She let him walk at his own pace, shared detailed updates, and even sent a picture, which I really appreciated. I felt very relieved and will definitely continue using her services”
About: I have worked in Veterinary medicine for over 14 years. I started out as a kennel attandant and worked by way up to become an uncertified veterinarty technicican. I started pet sitting when I was in high school for my neighbors and have done it part-time ever since. I have experience with all sorts of dog and cat behaviors. I am flexible and can accommodate for most things. I do work 4 10 hr shift right now. I am available in the early AM and late PM. I do have weekends off right now as well. Depending on the location, I can stop in on my lunch breaks if it isn't too far from my work. I will be able to do anything a pet owner asks of me. I think it is good to keep the pet's routine as close to their norm as possible when their owners are away. This helps limits the stress for the pets.
“Chris is a dog lover! He is very caring, respectful, always prompt and helpful. My dogs love him. Mostly he just walks them, but on occasion has fed and walked them while I was away for the afternoon. Great communication about visits, dog behaviors etc. Great guy!”
About: I have lived with and played with dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up with a German Shepard, and later on, two cats. I started caring for dogs as an adult in 2023. I have experience pet sitting, dog walking, and playing with dogs and cats. I have a love for animals all shapes and sizes, and will make your pets' needs a top priority. I'm currently home from school. I work a part time job as a server on weekday nights. I also have a remote class Tuesday afternoons. I'm available any time outside of that range to care for your pets! I'm flexible when it comes to scheduling, and willing to accommodate to whatever is best for you. When caring for other people's pets, I make sure to send frequent check-ins, photos, and questions to the owner. If needed, I have my own car in case of any vet trips/emergencies.

“Samantha did a great job with our Rocco! We originally were a bit nervous because Rocco is a pitbull and to some the bully breed can be intimidating, but once we all got to meet and she saw Rocco for who he really is, it was a good experience! Rocco gets excited when we tell him that he’s going on his walks now in the morning! Can wait to continue to have Samantha as our Dog Walker!”
“Haven was so great with our dog. She was available on short notice and went above and beyond to take care of our dog that has anxiety. He felt very comfortable with her right away. I would highly recommend Haven as a dog walker/sitter!”

“Michelle V was excellent for our first Rover experience! She was easy to communicate with and responsive. She also was flexible with pickup and drop-off as our times changed. Thanks, Michelle!”
“Carla was absolutely amazing! So caring and kind. Every day she would send me photos and video updates throughout the day. She has a beautiful fenced-in backyard and I loved seeing my dog, Betty, play with her dogs. I highly recommend Carla and I plan to bring Betty back to her in just a couple weeks and will use her again in the future next time we are out of town.”
“Dickson was absolutely wonderful with Charlie! He sent frequent videos and photo updates, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. Charlie is 12 years old and diabetic, she stayed on her eating schedule and received her insulin shots on time — Dickson handled everything perfectly and with such care. I felt completely comfortable knowing she was safe, happy, and enjoying time playing in his fenced backyard. You can truly tell he loves animals and treats them like family. This was such a great experience, and I will absolutely have Charlie stay with him any time. Highly recommend Dickson to any friends or family looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!!”
“Anna was super kind and accommodating. She did take pictures (which I so appreciate) including on walks. My dog was a bit high energy and Anna managed well - I know because he came back tired. Also, super helpful when we had to cut the trip short. TY Anna!”
“Byron and his family were excellent hosts and did a wonderful job keeping Gilbert happy. From the minute I dropped Gilbert off, I knew he would be in good hands. I was kept updated throughout the week with pics and texts, and he answered any questions I had promptly and with assurance. I will definitely have Gilbert board with Byron the next time I need to, and would recommend him as a top sitter.”
