About: I have been taking care of animals from a young age of 15. I grew up with a German shepherd which started my love for dogs. I use to volunteer at an animal shelter in Iowa when I was going to college. I would walk every single dog because it would break my heart to see them stuck in such a small space. I also rescued around 20 dogs, 50 cats, and one monkey when I was living overseas. I am very empathetic towards animals especially because they are such innocent beings. I also worked with different rescue groups overseas. I currently have 3 dogs I rescued from Peru South America. Their stories are pretty crazy but now they are living the dog dream. Having 3 dogs myself I know how necessary it is to have help! 1st I would like to come meet the pet first so we can create a trust. Then I would make sure they were comfortable in their home with plenty of food and water. I would just follow all the rules the owner has for me especially if there dog is on a specific diet. If it is okay with the owner also carry training treats with me for walks.

About: I grew up taking care of my 2 collies and helping out with family members pets. I am experienced with managing large breeds and high energy dogs. I am currently on summer break from university, so I have a lot more free time. I am available on weekdays after 11 and weekends I have full availability. Once I return to school in late August, my schedule will change slightly. I’ll be available on weekdays after 1:30 PM and on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. About: About us: I stumbled onto Rover in August 2022 after trying to think of ways to make a little extra money while working at home, full-time, and with 3 kids (approaching middle and high school) that have wanted a dog since probably before they were born. I grew up with dogs and wanted a dog too! But I also didn’t want the vet visits, food expenses…what do we do with a dog when we want to travel? Fast forward to now and dog-sitting has been a truly epic, awesome experience for all of us. By the time you read this it’s likely we will have reached triple digits of dogs that have stayed here. I have an 11 year old Boxer who loves companion ship of all animals. Currently I am unemployed so pet care is my main focus. When I’m not taking care of my 11 y/o Boxer and 1 year old Bearded Dragon I’m looking up ways to make my animals more happy I will take dogs on walks at least 2 times a day and will take them to dog parks to run around. About: Although I am new to Rover, I have had dogs since childhood, have adopted many in my adult life and volunteer at the local shelter. Dogs are my favorite people! Currently I am mom to our sweet 5 year old mixed breed girl Memphis and our newest baby 7 month old Maisie Grace a pomchi mix. Both of my girls are sweet, energetic, loving , go with the flo kinda gals. They get along great with other pups and when not playing in our large fence yard they love to nestle into the sofa for a snuggly nap. I am home full-time and flexible with our routine so I can help you with yours. If you need someone to care for your dogs while you are away,I am very flexible with schedule and for your dogs needs. We live on an acre with our half acre backyard fully fence by a new 6 foot privacy fence. Lots of room to run and play for all pups big or small! I understand how difficult it is to feel comfortable leaving your fur baby while away, I will care for your dog like they are my own. If that means couch snuggles, sharing our bed or whatever special needs your pup may have I’m all in! About: I have always loved every different kind of animal out there, but spent my childhood with mostly just cats. 15 years ago, I adopted my first puppy, a German Short-haired Pointer, at the age of 8 weeks. My ex-husband and I decided to take the "treatless training" approach which was a huge success! Crate training, leash training, obedience training were all a collaborative effort and turned out extremely well. 10 years later, we adopted a sweet rescue named Gizmo who was already 7 years old, but became part of the family immediately. They have both passed on now to doggy heaven, but I am always the first to offer to care for other family member's pets anytime I can :) I'm currently working part-time from my home in Blackberry Creek and always have time for some fur-ball company. My 2 girls, 7 and 10 years old, are with me part time and are also very helpful, gentle and patient with our pets and hopefully yours! I have a fenced back yard with plenty of room for your fur-baby to play and exercise! If it better suits you, I can always come to your home as well for potty and play time :) UPDATE 6/8/26 - Since starting my Rover journey in 2022, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many amazing pets and their wonderful families. Along the way, our household has grown and changed in ways I never expected. In 2023, one of my regular Rover pups (actually a senior pup) became a permanent part of our family. Tigger’s owner had rescued him from a Chicago Animal Shelter just months before I began caring for him. As a 100 lb. Staffordshire Terrier, Great Dane, Bully, etc. mix, Tigger was a big boy with an even bigger heart. His owner dedicated to helping him become the best version of himself, especially since he wasn’t always comfortable around other dogs. With patience, training, and love, he blossomed into the sweetest, gentlest giant you could imagine. When his owner unexpectedly passed away, her husband reached out to ask if I would consider adopting Tigger. My answer was immediate: absolutely. I couldn’t bear the thought of him returning to a shelter. Bringing Tiggy into our family was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My girls and I were lucky enough to love, spoil, and cherish him for three wonderful years before he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We miss him every day, but are so grateful for the time we had together. Since then, we’ve also welcomed two adorable brother cats into our home. They keep us smiling and full our days with plenty of fun and affection. While our family has grown, we’re excited to have some doggy energy back in the house through Rover! When your pup stays with us, they’ll be welcomed with open arms and treated like a part of the family. We understand how much your pets mean to you because we’ve experienced firsthand just how special that bond can be. Our promise is simple: we’ll care for your furry family member with the same love, attention, and respect that we give our own. About: I have been taking care of animals from a young age of 15. I grew up with a German shepherd which started my love for dogs. I use to volunteer at an animal shelter in Iowa when I was going to college. I would walk every single dog because it would break my heart to see them stuck in such a small space.
