About: I've taken care of pets since I was young. I've always had a dog growing up! After moving to Sycamore in 1998, I moved into a farm. We had almost every farm animal, as well as cats. I've had all of my dogs from puppies until the end. Come summer, I am free all the time! I work at the school district! Just weekends are softball. My oldest is on a traveling team! About: Hello! We absolutely love all dogs. We have a beautiful 4 year old Weimaraner who we came into our life as a pup. We also have had two prior to her. We are comfortable with all aged dogs from the feisty puppies to the more quiet seniors. We have lots of experience with young puppies, senior dogs who need medication (oral pills or otherwise), and shy or energetic dogs. Linda even worked as a Vet Tech in high school and was a dog walker in college. We both are retired and love to sit outside with our dog and go for walks. As a visitor to our home, we are open to whatever method you employ for your dog’s safety. We have experience with crate training and are happy to continue those practices if you wish. Otherwise, your dog is free to roam our fenced yard and home. We are both retired, so have lots of time for your pup. Our dog always gets to go out whenever she wants. So will yours. We usually walk our dog in the morning afternoon and evening. If your dog is up to that, we will have her join us. We have a fenced in yard for the dogs to enjoy whenever they want. Our house is very dog friendly. Our dogs are allowed on the furniture. We do not leave any food out and have a dog proof garbage can too.

I have about 2 years of experience with dog walking and drop in visits and haven’t had any complaints that I know of from the pet owners that I was working with. I understand the body language of both dogs and cats and I’m able to respect the pets boundaries and know how to access a situation. I also used to work at the animal shelter for a bit! Currently I don’t have a job other than Rover so I have the time to take care of your pets and my schedule is pretty open. I have 2 cats and I take care of them by feeding them wet food 2 times a day and dry food throughout the day and I also scoop their litter boxes and play with them. I’m very respectful of clients homes and respect the rules they have in place for their home because everyone’s care for their pets and homes are different.
About: Tiger is my personal cat. I have shopped for her food, taken her to the vet, and fulfilled all her needs since I got her. I have her maintenance schedule to fill all her needs, cause no pets are low maintenance, it just means they aren't getting the care they need. Every four months her litter box gets deep clean, the box itself and scoop get washed. The litter box gets scooped twice a week. She also gets brushed twice a week, because not only does she enjoy it, but it reduces hairballs and promotes fur health (and less fur in the house!). I play with her a minimum of once a day, twice is the average though. She gets fed three times a day from wet food, and has a water fountain that gets a monthly deep clean. I do have experience giving her medication in her food along with her probiotic. Occasionally she goes for a leashed walk in the yard for extra stimulation. I have only cared for my own cat, but I am willing to go up and beyond for any cat.

About: I have taken care of many dogs in my neighborhood for years. I had a German Shorthair Pinter I trained. I have had a umber of cats over the years. My dog now is 14 yes.! I am a retired teacher so I have the time to care for your dogs! I am available everyday. I do attend church on Sunday’s for 3 hours. Other wise I’m am home all day. First thing in the morning we are out the door for a walk around the neighborhood. We come the dogs have a fresh clean bowl of water and a treat. My dog eats around 12 o’clock. I feel his bowl up with his favorite dog food from blue buffalo. Second walk of the day is around noon outside around the neighborhood check in with some of the friends dogs and back home. We take a little nap around 2 o’clock and then back out for another walk around five. My dog gets another bowl full of blue buffalo. Sometimes he eats it and sometimes he waits and eats it later in the evening. We go out approximately between nine and 10 o’clock. The last of the day potty breaks. I try to keep the same schedule for the dogs so they know what they have to do when we go outside.
About: When I was 7 years old I got my first puppy. His name was Jake, a baby lab. I trained him myself and raised him throughout his entire life. I have a natural affinity with animals. I am great at figuring out what my furry baby needs from me, I am also great at calming down irritable pups. My puppy passed 5 years ago due to health conditions and I instantly got two more. I now have two Australian shepherds who are very high energy and need a lot of love, play, and attention which I always provide top quality. I have also been relied on by friends and family countless times to take care of their puppies or all different kinds. Pictures of these beautifies can be found in my profile. I feed, walk, bathe, play, and much more with them, I know they always enjoy themselves and their owners are always greatfull and eager for me to watch them again. I have even taken care of peoples bunnies, reptiles, crustaceans, cats/kittens (I am allergic to cats so I am less likely to take them on). The dogs I have taken care of have been xs-xl sized so I can handle myself, even two animals at a time would be no problem. Currently, my schedule is very flexible as I am working with DoorDash where I get to schedule my own work times and days (based on the area and how busy it is). This allows me a lot of time to devote towards your furry baby! I work the most from 4-9:30pm on weekdays and weekends (primarily). Weekdays are more negotiable than weekends, as these are my only jobs currently. There will never be a time where I need to focus on both jobs simultaneously, any furry baby with me will have my undivided attention! My home is a very safe, clean, and organized environment. So, there will be no worry for any choking hazards, sharp objects, or hazardous foods/liquids in furry reach. That being said there is also a door that blocks off the kitchen area. If there is any specific housing instructions, I will cater to them to the best of my abilities!
About: I grew up with dogs all of my life. We always had at least one dog and usually a cat growing up. My family and I now have 3 dogs- Cocker Spaniel, Bernedoodle, and a Beagle mix. We treat our dogs as family- humans. I consider them my children. I am a former foster for Tails, but unfortunately I had to give that up due to getting attached to them all. ❤️ *update- I’m fostering again! 🥰💕❤️ I am a stay at home mom to my 3 dogs! My 15, 12, and 6 year old are in school all day. I am home all day besides an occasional errand, school drop off/pickup, or an after school or weekend sporting event for my boys. My husband also has a flexible work schedule. In fact, I usually have him come along on meet & greets so that we can tag team visits if need be. We have a Petsafe invisible fence. If you have a Petsafe collar, then it should work at my home. Besides the Petsafe invisible fence, we have an extra long tie out in the backyard. We also have a fenced in area near the pool which is unavailable during pool season otherwise open. I recently put up a fenced area that is suitable for dogs that aren’t jumpers or strong. Our yard is about half an acre. I’m happy to walk a dog on a leash in the yard or around the neighborhood as well. We have a beautiful walking path nearby. I also love giving the option to pet owners for in home visits while they’re gone. Sometimes a pet is more content and comfortable in their own home. I’m happy to visit 3-4 times a day to provide some company, feed, and allow for potty breaks. It’s really a great option for many who don’t enjoy being boarded at a facility.

About: I have always loved every different kind of animal out there, but spent my childhood with mostly just cats. 15 years ago, I adopted my first puppy, a German Short-haired Pointer, at the age of 8 weeks. My ex-husband and I decided to take the "treatless training" approach which was a huge success! Crate training, leash training, obedience training were all a collaborative effort and turned out extremely well. 10 years later, we adopted a sweet rescue named Gizmo who was already 7 years old, but became part of the family immediately. They have both passed on now to doggy heaven, but I am always the first to offer to care for other family member's pets anytime I can :) I'm currently working part-time from my home in Blackberry Creek and always have time for some fur-ball company. My 2 girls, 7 and 10 years old, are with me part time and are also very helpful, gentle and patient with our pets and hopefully yours! If it better suits you, I can always come to your home as well for potty and play time :) UPDATE 6/8/26 - Since starting my Rover journey in 2022, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many amazing pets and their wonderful families. Along the way, our household has grown and changed in ways I never expected. In 2023, one of my regular Rover pups (actually a senior pup) became a permanent part of our family. Tigger’s owner had rescued him from a Chicago Animal Shelter just months before I began caring for him. As a 100 lb. Staffordshire Terrier, Great Dane, Bully, etc. mix, Tigger was a big boy with an even bigger heart. His owner dedicated to helping him become the best version of himself, especially since he wasn’t always comfortable around other dogs. With patience, training, and love, he blossomed into the sweetest, gentlest giant you could imagine. When his owner unexpectedly passed away, her husband reached out to ask if I would consider adopting Tigger. My answer was immediate: absolutely. I couldn’t bear the thought of him returning to a shelter. Bringing Tiggy into our family was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My girls and I were lucky enough to love, spoil, and cherish him for three wonderful years before he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We miss him every day, but are so grateful for the time we had together. Since then, we’ve also welcomed two adorable brother cats into our home. They keep us smiling and full our days with plenty of fun and affection. While our family has grown, we’re excited to have some doggy energy back in the house through Rover! When your pup stays with us, they’ll be welcomed with open arms and treated like a part of the family. About: I've grown up with dogs my entire life and can't imagine a home without them! I’m new to Rover, but because I don't currently have a pet of my own, I have plenty of love, attention, and energy to give to yours. I've been a trusted dog sitter for friends and family for years, and I'm excited to meet even more through Rover! I believe pets are family, and I treat every dog with the same care, patience, and affection I'd want for my own. Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, or just some extra company while you're away, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I’ve always found ways to get along with any animal! I don't currently hold a full-time job position, so I'm pretty flexible during the week for my schedule. I have other side jobs and am picking up shifts when I can, but I'm willing to move things around to suit what works best for you and your pet. I am able to host one dog at a time in my home for certain periods of time. I do not have any other animals living in my home, so there would be no interactions with any other dog while in my home. I also have a fenced in backyard so your dog is always in my view and very safe. The rest of my family members are also huge dog lovers, so while I would be the caretaker, your dog is able to experience all the love my home has to offer. I am sure to follow all directions as needed regarding your pet in my house or yours. I'm very detail-oriented and sometimes a perfectionist, so following instructions to ensure your dogs health and safety is something you don't have to worry about with me!

About: I have been taking care of my Australian shepherd since I was twelve years old. I've been grooming her, walking her, training her, and feeding her since I was a child. Throughout my life I have gotten two more dogs and many more animals that I have loved taking care of. My college classes have all been online so I have had plenty of time to be at home and spend time with my three dogs. At my home I have three dogs. Two that usually keep to themselves but one Husky that loves to play. I have a large fenced in back yard with plenty of room to run around, as well as cages to crate dogs if needed.

About: I have been raised with a pet by side. When I have born we had two brittany spaniels that have since passed on. In 8th grade, after they passed, we adopted another puppy brittany. A year later, we adopted another, to have our current pair of brittanys. So I have experience raising puppies as well. I play with them outdoors and indoors, brush them, clean up their poop, bath them, feed them, and train them. They also get taken on walks at the local forest preserve for stimulation. I have experience in caring for fish and snakes. Between dogs, I had my cat to keep me company. She is solely my cat, so she got the same attention as the dogs, plus I bought her toys, treats, litter, and food. Outside of my dogs I have pet sit goldens labs, goldendoodles, springer spaniels, and many other breeds. As in my headline, I don't think any animal is low maintenance. That just means the pet isn't getting the care it deserves. I had my cat at my dorm first semester, and I fed her breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I made sure to play with twice a day and we played birds on the tv for stimulation as well. I had a weekly schedule to brush her twice a week, and clean the litter box every Sunday and Wednesday. At home I would alternate playing with my dogs, training, and brushing them whenever possible. I can play indoors and outdoors. I can take the animal for walks. Clean up any potential messes, such as muddy dogs or if a cat has a hairball. I can accompany senior pets that need help eating. I can brush the animal. And feed them, and do basic training.

About: When I had roommates, they have a cat who has wobbly cat syndrome (Cerebellar Hypoplasia) which makes him walk a little funny! He can’t go more than two to three steps without falling over, and eating is quite a challenge. Having cared for him has made me really patient and understanding of animals. I recently just left a data entry job, so I have all the time in the world to care for your pets! I love animals more than people so they are going to fit perfectly into my daily routine. About: I've taken care of pets since I was young. I've always had a dog growing up! After moving to Sycamore in 1998, I moved into a farm. We had almost every farm animal, as well as cats. I've had all of my dogs from puppies until the end. Come summer, I am free all the time! I work at the school district! Just weekends are softball. My oldest is on a traveling team! About: Hello! We absolutely love all dogs. We have a beautiful 4 year old Weimaraner who we came into our life as a pup. We also have had two prior to her. We are comfortable with all aged dogs from the feisty puppies to the more quiet seniors. We have lots of experience with young puppies, senior dogs who need medication (oral pills or otherwise), and shy or energetic dogs. Linda even worked as a Vet Tech in high school and was a dog walker in college. We both are retired and love to sit outside with our dog and go for walks. As a visitor to our home, we are open to whatever method you employ for your dog’s safety. We have experience with crate training and are happy to continue those practices if you wish. Otherwise, your dog is free to roam our fenced yard and home. We are both retired, so have lots of time for your pup. Our dog always gets to go out whenever she wants. So will yours. We usually walk our dog in the morning afternoon and evening. If your dog is up to that, we will have her join us. We have a fenced in yard for the dogs to enjoy whenever they want. Our house is very dog friendly. Our dogs are allowed on the furniture. We do not leave any food out and have a dog proof garbage can too.

About: Animals keep my world turning. As a kid I have always been so interested in animals, and before we had our family dog, I was babysitting neighbors' guinea pigs, lizards, cats, fish, turtles, and dogs. I even have a small amount of experience working with horses! The squirrels around town make me so happy, and I would love to share that same energy with your pet. Every animal has its own needs, quirks, and way of communicating, and I love and respect that. I would love to get to know your pet so that they feel safe with me, as well as understand your needs, rules and boundaries as the pet owner. Additionally, I am a college student working towards a B.A. of Art, and I have an Associate of Science degree. I can be flexible, especially with intent to find repeat pet parents whose animal(s) I care for. I have courses Monday through Thursday, and I do have some flexibility with my afternoons at times. As an art student, I can bring my work with me, meaning it is not likely difficult for me to spend time at the pet's house, especially as the weather gets colder. I often have lots of flexibility on Fridays, and I am happy to discuss more, again, especially if you are looking for a repeat sitter. I do not have any pets of my own. I live on the second floor of an apartment building, with easy access to outside via stairs, or a slightly further away elevator. I can and do keep my house clean, and would keep the pet in the main room with my supervision. My building has an extremely large yard as well as a very long grassy path, both to play and take more comfortable walks for Puppy's feet. If there is a pet in my vicinity, I cannot take my attention away, so trust we would have a fun day together. Other important notes: - I have a vehicle I can rely on for transportation of myself as well as pets - I do NOT have a kennel or crate for dogs/pets - I do NOT have a carseat or harness for dogs/pets - I do NOT have toys or food. *I will gladly come your way, or bring your pet my way. I just ask that anything important such as food, favorite toys, and any equipment is available for the pet to use while I am sitting them. I do have water, of course!
