They have a well-maintained backyard that Snow can play and run around. Rico loves hanging out with our pet and takes extra time to show some love and cuddles. We highly recommend him.”

“Ian took great care of our senior pup, Rocky. He took very detailed notes ahead of Rocky’s stay and lots of feedback following his overnight. Ian communicated with us regularly, and responded to questions very quickly, both before and during Rocky’s stay. We plan to have Rocky stay with Ian again very soon.”

“Susan was absolutely wonderful with Jasper. We first met her in August when she watched Jasper for our wedding and she was just delightful. Her dog Isla and Jasper got along so well and Susan even sent us video and photo updates as requested. When we return for another visit with Jasper in October Jasper was so excited, he knew exactly where he was and was ready for some more time with his friends. We highly recommend Susan as a care taker as she is kind, responsive and her love for dogs is just wonderful. Thank you so much Susan and looking forward to the next time”

She sent frequent updates, photos, and videos where I could easily see how comfortable and happy Sammie was in her care. It’s clear Julia truly loves dogs and treats them like her own. I felt completely at ease while I was away and would trust her to watch Sammie again in a heartbeat!”

“Our Teddy had a great time with Jacob and his dog Murphy! It was our first time to board our dog and I was very worried being gone for a long time and hike it would affect him. Jacob is very experienced and took good care of Teddy and sent pics and videos. I could enjoy our vacation knowing he was being well cared for, safe, and getting stimulation. He came home unphased by our absence and in good spirits. I would recommend Jacob!!”

“Jeff and Ron took care of our standard, 4 1/2 year old Bernedoodle. It was our first time leaving her and we were cautious in who we chose to care for her. Jeff. And Ron lived up to their highly rated reviews! We set up a meet and greet and also decided to have our pup spend a day with them before leaving on our 4 day getaway. Jeff’s friendly demeanor with us and our pup put our minds at ease. We felt comfortable knowing our dog was in good hands!”

About: As a cat owner myself, I understand that every cat has their own personality, routine, and comfort level. I rescued my adult cat from the street and learned firsthand how important patience, trust, and a calm environment are in helping animals feel safe and secure. I also care for an energetic kitten, which has given me experience with both playful younger cats and more independent adult cats. I strongly understand the importance of routine for cats, including consistent feeding schedules and daily care that helps them feel stable and comfortable. I also recognize that when cats are sick or stressed, they often need extra patience, time, and sometimes special care such as medication, dietary adjustments, or simply a calm presence. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I take that responsibility seriously. I will care for your cats with the same attention, patience, and love that I give my own, making their comfort and well-being my top priority.
“This is our second time having Amanda care for our cats Puma and Lynx. She’s so reliable, kind, careful, prompt and professional. I always feel sad when I’m away from my kitties on a trip but knowing that they’ll be in Amanda’s care puts my worries at ease. Also my cats are shy but she manages to have them sneak by for a photo and maybe some pets”

About: I’ve always had a deep love for animals. Their loyalty, companionship, and energy make them so special, and they deserve the same care and kindness in return. I’ve been around animals my whole life and have hands on experience raising and caring for both dogs and cats. What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give to every pet. I treat them like my own and take the time to understand their personality and needs. I’m very patient and comfortable with dogs and cats of all ages, from playful puppies to senior dogs who may need a slower and gentler approach. I also have experience with cats and understand that every pet has their own unique personality and comfort level. Whether your dog or cat loves to be active and go on walks or prefers to stay home and relax, I’m happy to match their energy and make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for. I also like to keep owners updated with messages and the occasional cute photo so you can feel at ease while you’re away:) I have a 7 year old Boxer who lives with me. She’s very friendly, loves other dogs, and would be happy to have some company. I’m easy to get along with, responsible, and always do my best to make sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for. If there’s anything specific your pet needs, I’ll always try my best to accommodate. I’d love to be a great match for your furry friend! A little bit about me! I live in the Albany Park area and have my own reliable transportation, so I’m dependable and able to get to your pet when needed. I work freelance, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to plan my day around your pet’s routine. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, longer stays, or even last-minute help, I’m able to adjust my availability to make sure your pet gets the attention, care, and consistency they need. Whether I’m caring for your pet during walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays, their safety and comfort are always my priority. I politely ask that all clients have a fully completed and updated profile with recent photos of their pets, information about their personality, routine, behavior, and any special needs, as well as some information about themselves. This helps me feel more comfortable and confident accepting a booking and gives me a better understanding of you and your pet beforehand. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine and any instructions you provide as closely as possible, whether that’s feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, or just keeping them company. My goal is to make sure your pet feels happy, safe, and comfortable in their own home while you’re away.

“Annabel is the best. She gave an update and took several pictures every time she stopped by. I think my cats liked her more than me. 😛 I recommend her to anyone who needs a pet sitter. She is awesome!”

“Hannah did a fantastic job taking care of my cat on super short notice. Super attentive to his social needs and even went above and beyond by taking out the trash. Thank you!!”

“Cookie & Peanut thoroughly enjoyed their time with Angelica. It was so cute to see how the cats progressively looked more comfortable/silly with her throughout their time together.”

“Jena was amazing and extremely communicative while we were out of town. We greatly appreciated the check-ins and report cards for our cats, and we’ll definitely be booking with Jena again in the future!”

About: Hi! I’m Samantha. I moved to Chicago in late 2018 and spent my first year here walking dogs for three different companies, while also building up a group of regular clients through Rover. In early 2019, I started walking a sweet, three-legged Black Lab named Bo and eventually began boarding him several weeks each month while his dad traveled for work. Sadly, we lost Bo in April 2021, and his passing left a big hole in my heart. Not long after, I began fostering a three-legged pittie named Abby and ended up adopting her in July 2021. When I first adopted her, my only request at the shelter was that she get along with other dogs. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case as she had a very traumatic history, so I no longer offer boarding. However, I’m still happily available for walks, drop-ins, and occasional in house stays! I can work with all different ages, handle senior care, and have helped with puppy training. I work in higher ed but have a very flexible schedule. My boss is aware that I pet sit on the side and allows me to work remotely when needed. Every family I have worked with has been different depending on their needs. I am experienced in crate training, free roaming, or setting up boundaries to help keep animals safe. I also am familiar with all different collar/leash/harness types and feel comfortable navigating with and around dog reactive animals.

“Erin is awesome! I enjoyed my trip so much more knowing my pets were well taken care of. She sends the best pictures that make it very clear how much fun her visits were. I appreciated how communicative, kind, and adaptable she was. Would absolutely recommend Erin to anyone in need of a sitter.”

“Kelsey stayed at our home with our two cats while we were on vacation. She took such good care of our boys and our home! She kept us well informed, especially when one of our guys had some tummy troubles. We wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again! Thank you!”

“Tiffani was so great with our two cats for drop in feedings. One of my cats is not very nice and they got along just fine and he even let her get a quick pet here and there. They got lots of playtime and pets and I got lots of fun photo and video updates. Thanks Tiffani!!!”

“Jackie saved the day, offering to sit for my dog CoCo when the other sitter failed to come through for me. She is kind, thoughtful, responsible, and communicative, and I love her Black Cat! I recommend her whole-heartedly. :)”

“Chachi had a wonderful time at day care. He got along very well with everyone even though he was a late arrival to the pack today but he got along just fine and everyone loved him. He shared a bed with a sweet little dog who was missing a leg. Chachi likes the big yard to roam around; he's older so he does not play but he still likes the opportunity to go free in the fenced in yard. Ian can well accommodate little ones, big ones and handicapped ones all together for a nice time to be had by all. Ian offers food on time and often, sets out clean full water (I know other places that do not set out water the whole day) and he accommodates each individual dog's needs.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all breeds and size's. Friends, neighbors, and family often rely on me to walk, feed, and bathe their pets while they’re away. I’m comfortable with senior dogs, energetic puppies, and pets with special routines. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or overnight care, I always treat every pet like my own. I currently have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide morning, midday, and evening visits during the week. Weekends are open for walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays. I’m responsible, communicative, and happy to provide updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in great hands. I live in a pet-friendly apartment that’s clean, safe, and comfortable for your furry friend. I take frequent walks and make sure pets get plenty of exercise and attention throughout the day. I’m very mindful of leash safety, secure entrances, and keeping pets calm in new environments. Whether your dog loves outdoor strolls or prefers cozy naps, I make sure they feel happy, safe, and cared for.
“David was great with our pup Chase. He's usually very shy and slow to warm up to people. However he really took to David and Pinto super quickly. David shared pictures and videos of them playing and sleeping throughout the day. I would definitely recommend him for any dogsitting needs.”

“Laura and Charlie are so welcoming! We felt super comfortable leaving Mugsy, our anxious dog, in their care. Definitely recommend them if you’re looking for a caring couple to look after your dog. It was nice getting pictures of Mugsy throughout the day.”

“Tango spent a nice day with Sarah. He's a bit anxious but he settled in and seemed content when I picked him up. Sarah and walter are quick to respond to queries and clearly responsible sitters.”

About: I do take up to 4 clients at a time, so I can only accept dogs that get along well with other dogs. I am doing Rover full time. Which means more time to spend on walks, playing and affection time ! I won't be distracted with any electronic device, when outdoors with your dog. I don't smoke, drink or party. I grew up caring for a couple amazing dogs. I've taken care of my brother's, neighbors and friends dogs. I love being outdoors and being active, so if your dog has alot of energy, he'll be sleeping like a baby by the end of the day. I currently don't have any pets of my own. I'm looking forward to making memorable moments with your dog(s). I can take your dog on an hour long early morning walk/run near a park close to where I live, so we can also play ball, Frisbee or with a toy! Then I could take your dog to 1-3 additional walks throughout the day. I try to make the dog feel at home,by being calm and trying to understand his/her body language, quirks and personality. Giving them affection and playing with them, but also some alone time.

About: I have been a dog parent for the last 10 years. I have experience with dogs with disabilities (my two dogs have 3 legs) and leash-reactive furbabies. I am knowledgeable of dog training techniques and are observant of dog behaviors.

About: I have been a house and pet sitter since High School while working at a vet’s office and all throughout college and many years after. I love a good pet therapy session to keep stress levels down for me and the animal. I have two cats of my own and know how important it is for them to get interacted with throughout the day when we aren’t around, as well as when we have our own overnight commitments to attend. I would be honored to get to spend a little time with your fur baby when needed! I am a fun loving, easy going, and pet (and treat) giving cat mom who loves both cats and dogs! I can’t wait to meet all the incredibly adorable animals possible through this opportunity. I am quite the stimulating pet parent! My cats even knows some commands and tricks. We love some treat giving, toy searching, and you playing in my house! I work for Rover fulltime, so I am always here. I have enough space, and gates to keep 3-5 dogs at a time, if the family is comfortable with other friendly dogs being in the same house with them. I walk all separately unless they are from the same family or the dogs are really good friends. We take about 5-6 walks a day around the neighborhood ranging between 20-30 minutes depending on the weather of the season, and even have a deck with a piece of “grass” where older pets can use the restroom easily or if it is raining, for a quick potty break. We have water in every room of the house, we love to give treats, have crates and gates for alone time if needed, and there is always an opportunity to sunbathe in our house or on our deck.

Two of my cats are fosters that never left- both have cererbellar hypoplasia, or better known as wobbly cat syndrome! I have pet sat for many kinds of animals including cats, dogs, guinea pigs and reptiles. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend! Please note: I do not use flexi/retractible leashes to ensure safety. I am happy to bring my own slip lead or standard leash. Please, let me know if you have questions! I work from home and have a flexible schedule! I typically have afternoons and weekends free. I would love to learn more about what your pet’s specific care needs are! I want to hear all about your pet! What do they like, what don’t they like? What are their quirks and preferences? I want to learn about them because I want to make sure I am caring for them the way you would.
About: I have been around dogs since I was 10 years old! I love to play with dogs and take them for walks, as it also allows me to be active. I used to coordinate with family and friends to visit their homes and take care of their dogs on days they worked in the office so that they were never alone. While I do work full-time, my schedule is hybrid, which gives me some flexibility. I'm in the office every other week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so I’m available to visit your dogs during my lunch break or after work, depending on what works best for you! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to stick closely to their routines and preferences to keep them comfortable and happy. Maintaining open and consistent communication with pet parents is important to me. I understand how important peace of mind is when someone else is caring for your fur baby, so I will provide regular updates, photos, and am always available to answer questions or give quick check-ins. I want every pet parent to feel totally at ease knowing their pet is in loving, capable hands.

“Rico is an excellent dog sitter for our dog Snow. He is reliable, he sent us daily photos of Snow. We feel so comfortable leaving our dog in their care. Our dog feels at home with them.

“So friendly and accommodating to me and my Santi boy. He seemed so happy and comfortable arriving home so i KNOW he had a great time. Charise is a true dog lover and i look forward to booking with her again. Thank you!!”

“Sophia and Andy were super accommodating. Never had to ask for a picture because they were on top of it. You can tell how much they care for pets. Made me feel like my dog Morrie was really well taken care of. Morrie came back happy and content :) Definitely recommend. Thanks so much again”

“I'm always nervous going out of town because our pup has some quirks. Maria was warm and welcoming and our dogs immediately hit it off. I felt relaxed the whole trip because I could see how much she loved dogs, and knew so much about their behaviors and interactions. We will definitely be booking her again!”

“Kate is absolutely wonderful. She was extremely accommodating of my dog's special needs, and super communicative. I'll definitely contact her again, and couldn't recommend her more highly.”

“John and Ryan were the best!! They were able to watch Wilson somewhat last minute and were so easy to work with. Sent lots of updates and pics, Wilson had the BEST TIME, I think he was sad to return lol. Thank you guys!!”

“Unfortunately our plans changed so Penny (our dog) did not end up staying with Sophie. However, we had a wonderful meet and greet ahead of time. Sophie was great with Penny who can be a little shy with new humans. She showed care and concern when I described Penny’s schedule and needs and she was extremely flexible when our departure time kept changing. Her apartment was well set-up to accommodate Penny as well. We would not hesitate to book with Sophie again should the need arise.”

“My dog Waylon stayed with Sarah and Walter for daycare and boarding over the last two months and I cannot recommend them enough. I got plenty of updates and they treated Waylon like he was their own. He loved staying with them so much that he would run in as soon as they opened the door. Thank you so much!”

“HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!! Jen is the best she has watched our baby twice now and each time he is excited. Will be using her in the future for sure. She is very accommodating and flexible. A+ sitter!”

“I just want to say how flexible Merrick family was with my schedule. This is my first time using any services for Harper. We had the meet and greet that went great. Then we booked the boarding with them. I was sent pictures and updates on Harper and I will definitely use them again!! Also they have a fenced in backyard!!! That’s a plus”

“I can’t say enough about how impressed I was with the care my dog received. As a first-time Rover user, I was very hesitant and nervous about leaving Rizzo with someone new. Both sitters immediately put me at ease by taking the time to meet Rizzo beforehand and allowing us to visit their home before his stay. Throughout the visit, they consistently sent photos, videos, and updates, which gave me complete peace of mind and allowed me to fully enjoy my time away. Their communication was excellent, and it was clear that they genuinely cared about Rizzo’s happiness and well-being. Rizzo came home happy and well cared for, and I truly appreciated how accommodating and attentive they were. I’ve already booked them again for another stay and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and compassionate pet sitters.”

“Nic took such good care of Bailey! Nic was so responsive, sent so many pictures, and was so sweet! Bailey got so much love and went on so many walks! I would recommend Nic to anyone and everyone!”

“Sky was super responsive and helpful! She was flexible too. She took great care of the pups, which isn’t the easiest with our 14yo yorkie 💙 she played with our energetic Honey and took sweet pictures for us of both. Appreciated her care and will book again when my parents are in town and need a sitter!”
