I grew up caring for my Hungarian Vizsla into college as well, even while he got sick and eventually had to be put down. I have experience owning rabbits, gerbils, dogs, cats. If the weather allows for it, we let them out to get exercise in and just have some stimulation. We have to feed them separately as one cat likes to try to steal food from the other. They’re both on their diets to lose some weight so feeding times are in order now for them.
About: I always had a dog growing up, I dog sat many times for family members and friends before as well! I love dogs and walks! I’m in school and this fits perfectly into my busy schedule, plus I get to spend time with dogs which makes me so happy ! I always attend to the dog, I love being around them so they don’t get lonely, give lots of pets and treats if deserved 😊
About: I’ve taken care of my pet dog Bruno since he was a puppy, me and my family adopted him back in 2023 and now he’s turning 3 in May this year. I’m usually free throughout the week and I will always have plenty of time to care for them and for any of their needs! I will always make sure to speak with their owner first if they have any special needs and ask if there are certain instructions written down that will need to be followed regarding of their pets.

About: I've had pets my entire life! Currently I have 3 furbabies, 2 dogs and 1 cat. Recently, I've started caring for others in addition to my own. I have experience caring for dogs with special needs, and of all different sizes and breeds. I'm not currently working, so my full time job would be caring for your pet! About: I have over 13 years experience doing vet assistant and vet technician tasks and skills as a volunteer at The Animal Welfare League in Chicago Ridge, IL. I have been employed as part of the membership and philanthropic department at Lincoln Park Zoo from which I learned a great deal, stemming from my biology classes on taxonomy to zoology, to specific animal facts and conservation of threatened animals. I therefore know a great deal of educational background on animal behavior. I studied psychology and comparitive human psychology/animal behavior with a bachelors in science from IIT. I have grown up with dogs, cats, and ferrets. At Southwest Animal Care Center, I bathed, fed, walked, medicated, and cared for boarding and patient animals. I graduated with my veterinary assistant certificate in 2018. After graduating from IIT, I became a kennel attendant and learned a great deal about how to care for animals. Pet care is a daily task for me as I take care for two little fuzzbutt ferrets, Icarus and Agatha. Icarus often wakes me up with his bushy tailed excitement. I'm lucky to have such wonderful critters in my life. Right now, I am only offering dog walking and off-site at client's home services. From what I've read from the anthropologist book "Inside of a Dog" by Alexandra Horowitz, animals, especially dogs, crave human attention so being attentive to an animal's needs is to me, what's most important. This includes communicating with animals to know when they need a bathroom break, when they want play, when they want affection and cuddles, when they want nappy time, being fed according to what their schedule is, and of course, offering healthy treats (if allowed) and new novel smells, toys, etc. I can manage 4-5 walks per day with one or multiple dogs at a time 5-6 days a week. This is my main job and I'm dedicated to providing top care as if they are my own. I take extra care to be a courteous and contentious guest in the owner's home. I treat my stay with respect and humbly care. You can trust me to provide excellent care and keep everything tidy and clean.

About: I have taken care of family pets my whole life, no pets are allowed in my household so I have taken every opportunity to interact with and care for animals outside of my home. I make sure to keep up with their needs while also providing them an enjoyable environment! I work from home so I am able to relocate wherever there is WiFi connection, the work isn’t too demanding so I am able to care for pets immediately. I work 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday and have 24/7 availability! I have an hour lunch break and am also available anytime after work and on weekends! I cannot have animals in my home so being in a clients home is best for me. I adhere to all instruction given by owners and follow the schedules set for the animal. I am open to entertaining and watching after the animal at all hours!

“Malcholm and his family took amazing care of my two dogs pitbull mixes. They stayed for about five days and Malcholm sent photos every day. He incorporated my dogs into their family life and it really seems like the dogs had a great time. Malcholm included the dogs on walks to school as well as at neighborhood activities. Both dogs take supplements with their meals, and Malcholm followed my feeding instructions carefully. He also asked clarification questions to ensure that their transition was smooth and that they were comfortable during their stay. Malcholm was easy to communicate with and coordinate with before during and after my dogs’ stay at his home. The kids in the home enjoyed the dogs and I’m glad that they kept my dogs company while I was away. Malcholm and his family really really enjoy animals and I’m glad that my pups can be part of their lives every now and again. Gracie and Sisco’s beds, blanket and toys were well taken care of and I think, even cleaned before I picked them up. I’m very happy with the care that Malcholm and his family provided to my dogs and I will certainly avail of his services again when I go out of town or need overnight dog care.
