About: Hello! I’ve been surrounded by dogs my whole life even though I’ve never had any of my own. This includes looking after and taking care of family members’ pups while growing up. Other than family, I’ve watched the same dog on multiple occasions, including two separate 3-week stays where I was responsible for feeding, walking, playing, and keeping him company. One of those stays was in my own space, so I’m comfortable managing a dog’s needs independently and keeping up with their routine. I don’t currently have pets of my own, but I’m very attentive, responsible, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I offer drop-in visits, walks, and in-home sitting, and I’ll send updates and cute photos of your pup so you feel at ease while you’re away. I work from 12–8 M-F, so I’m available in the mornings and later in the evening for walks, drop-ins, and check-ins. I can also do overnight house sitting depending on the situation. About: I’ve taken care of fur babies of all kinds since before I could walk. I grew up with a dog and cat always in tow. I lived in the country, so learned fast that the world can be hard for an animal, thus beginning my rehab ‘career’. As I got older, I pet sat for neighbors and family friends. In my mid 20s I trained as a vet tech, prepping animals for surgery, giving vaccinations, nail trims, etc. Until the ISU Wildlife Clinic closed, I volunteered there, learning more care for wild native animals. I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life, I can’t imagine life without animals. I currently have a senior border collie named Lola, she has arthritis so sometimes she needs help getting around and I’m always willing to help my girl. I also have a senior cat. Currently I’m a doordash/grub hub driver, so I literally am free 24/7 to care for your pets! I will prioritize Rover over delivery, so I can work with any schedule you need. I’m available for repeat needs (several walks a week, drop ins, etc). I live in a duplex with a yard. For me to board a pet, they would need to get along with my dog, and she can honestly be a bit grumpy meeting new dogs, so I feel going to the client’s home would be best. About: Hello! I’m a full-time high school teacher who loves animals… but my own dog passed away last year and for some reason I’m just not ready to get a new one. But I love dogs!! So, in the meantime, I am getting my pet love by dog-sitting. I mostly set this up to do over the summer when I was off work and super flexible, but I’ve decided to keep doing it some—with an emphasis on weekends and public holidays when I’m not at work :) I can do some weekdays, but we’d need to chat about it first. I have gotten a lot of satisfaction and enjoyment out of this so far (which is truly why I’m doing this) and plan to continue this until that stops (or until I decide to adopt a new furry friend who might need most of my attention). I grew up with dogs and have had a variety of breeds, shapes, sizes over the decades. I dog-sat during college and during grad school for friends, professors, and a few strangers I connected with on an older website (I feel like it was called care-dot-com for anyone who’s old enough to remember that). As someone who is a “bit” older, I’m reliable and have very little social life!! Perfect for you and your pet! I’m also super motivated to make your dog as happy as I can! I miss that aspect of having a pet—you take care of them and they keep you sane in this crazy world. Update: During the school year, I’m most available on weekends but can of course provide care in the afternoon and evening on a school/week day… just not as much as I can on a weekend or holiday :) I have a wire fenced yard (not a privacy fence). It’s not the biggest but I’ve also had a smaller yard! There are neighboring dogs, as well, so keep that in mind. As mentioned, no dog at the moment. I’m very careful with dogs in terms of behavior. I was raised to understand that the person is responsible for the dog’s behavior. This means paying attention, shortening the lead when needed, helping the dog feel secure, crossing the street, etc.

About: I've been pet-sitting around my neighborhood since I was 10, and grown up alongside dogs, cats, small rodents, and reptiles. I'm far from squeamish, and I love all creatures, even if they are grumpy, irritable, or messy. I volunteer at the ARL in Ankeny! I'm currently in school, but because I'm not taking a full schedule of classes, I can be around your pets multiple times over the school week every day. I have my own car, so I'm able to get where I need to easily. I don't do sports, so I'm free almost every day of the week, save for the occasional band event. My dog is a friendly older dog who is far from aggressive. She lives to sleep and sit in the sun, and is unbothered by even the most hyper of puppies. I do not have a fenced yard, but I love to walk pets, and will walk them in the morning, at night, or whenever they need it. I also have two cats who have mastered the art of avoiding new dogs when they are over. I can be high energy or low energy depending on what a dog needs, and love to stick to a schedule. I am currently on summer break from school, and trying to keep myself busy this summer with a job before I have to go back. I will make sure the pets safety is number one priority as well as my safety taking care of every new pet. I will make sure to care for them as requested.

About: I have over 2000 hours caring for shelter cats. I am the guardian of five cats. I'm comfortable around shy cats, kittens, old cats, all cats! I can administer simple medication if needed. I'm extremely patient and will take the time to let your cat get comfortable with me, or back away if your cat is stressed. I would love to play with your cat! I love cuddles! I love chillin' from a distance if that's what your cat needs. I'm a responsible adult and will follow the directions you leave for me. Your trip away from home will be worry-free in my care. About: I have been dog sitting for my friends and family for years. I work from home 2 days a week and have a large fenced in backyard. I have a 3 bedroom house located a few block from a bike/walking trail. I would like a dog of my own but my schedule doesn’t allow for that so cuddling and spending time with your dog would be perfect. Your dog will have access to my furniture while I am home. I can maintain a set schedule and provide your dog with love and care while you are away. I currently work full time from my home. Your pet would be in a kennel very minimal and have lots of attention. Would just be in a kennel if I need to run errands. I have a large fenced in backyard that your pet will love to run free in. The fence was replaced summer of 2021 after the derecho. I work a hybrid schedule 3 days in an office 2 days at home. My boyfriend is home every Friday, he does not work Fridays. I have a large privacy fenced in yard for your dog to play in. I can kennel or crate your dog at your preference. I have a lock on the inside of my front door incase a dog jumps and opens the door.
About: Back in middle school and high school I up I used to watch and walk family friends dogs. I have experience in giving medication to animals. I’m moving back in with my parents for a few months. I don’t have a part time job or anything so I have a lot of free time on my hands. Amanda was extremely flexible in drop off/pick up times which was greatly appreciated as we were heading out of town for the weekend.
