About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have over 7 years of hands-on pet care experience. Growing up with dogs taught me how to understand their different personalities and needs. I also have a Shih Tzu of my own, so I know how important it is to provide pets with love, patience, and a safe environment. In addition, I’ve cared for my sister’s dogs, helping with feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and making sure they feel comfortable while she’s away. I understand that every dog is unique, and I’ll treat your pet with the same love and care I give my own. You can count on me to provide reliable, attentive, and compassionate care while you’re away. I currently work part-time at a daycare, which has helped me become responsible, patient, and dependable. I’m fully available on Thursdays and Fridays, and I’m available Monday through Wednesday after 8:00 p.m. I’m hoping to make pet care my full-time career through Rover, so I’m committed to providing reliable, loving, and attentive care for every pet. I’ll always make sure your furry family member gets the attention, exercise, and affection they deserve while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I’ll take the time to learn your dog’s routine, feeding schedule, and any special needs so they receive the best care possible. I have a friendly Shih Tzu of my own, and I always make sure introductions are done safely and only if everyone is comfortable. Whether we’re going on leashed walks, playing, or relaxing at home, I’ll provide a safe, clean, and loving environment. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands.

“Cory took great care of my cat while I was away. He was always on time and very professional. He sent photos and replied quickly to my messages. Thanks again Cory!”

“Angie was wonderful!!! She took such good care of our (not spoiled) cats. We explained how to feed them, and the litter box cleaning, and she did it perfectly!! I texted and asked if she could let my sister in to get my tax information (I was in Omaha and needed to file my taxes) and she helped me out with that! Angie went above and beyond in helping us with our cats. I can not say enough good things about Angie!! We will use her again!! We were so happy with how she took care of our cats!!!! Thank you, Angie!!!”

“Jean has been wonderful with our dog, and I highly recommend her! She's been reliable, caring, and communicative every time. Rico absolutely loves when she comes over, which gives us so much peace of mind whenever we're away. It's clear she genuinely cares about him, and we always know he's in great hands.”

“Was so great squeezing us in last minute, went right over and let the dogs out. They had a blast with her, and she even messaged to get a towel to wipe their paws since it was wet out! Thank you!!!”

“She did a wonderful job caring for my sick and yet very energetic husky. Super nice woman and a very good caretaker. My husky threw a temper tantrum when she saw me walk through the front door instead of Farra 😂”

“Hallen took great care of my cat while I was out of town! Very attentive to the needs of both pet and owner, she gave sent an update and pics/videos of my pet every day of care. She was also very flexible and easy to work with, would definitely book her again and recommend her to anyone who wants a conscientious and communicative pet-sitter!”

About: I’ve been fostering adult dogs for the ARL for the last few years and have had so much fun getting to learn about a variety of breeds, personalities and behaviors. I’ve also had many pets throughout my life, including my current fur babies Raven (dog) and Lilo (cat). I’m currently working as a freelancer and am available throughout the day. I do participate in recreational sports on some evenings, otherwise I can be very flexible! I love to be outside and enjoy nothing more than letting dogs unwind on a long walk. I’m also happy to play fetch or tug, go to a nearby park or engage in whatever style of play your pup prefers.

“What a wonderful daycare for our 11 month old, high energy black lab. Mackenzie had to deal with a lot from our Eddie, and she handled him so well. Her other dogs are such a delight, fun and happy!”

About: Visiting pets will be treated like members of our family where they will be attended to all the time. I do not kennel my pets. I am retired so now I stay home with my pets. About: NOTE: Off during summer, but I work weekdays throughout the school year. Still available during school, but pets will be at home without me on weekdays for about 7 hours. I have owned and cared for dogs for over 25 years. I have cared for small dogs <25 pounds all the way up to large sized Great Danes > 200 pounds. I have been fostering dogs for Safe Paws Iowa for the past 4 years. I am available for a large portion of the summer because I only coach softball outside of the school year. I am very active and would love to share that energy with dogs! Walking, jogging, or just playing in the doggy pool is no issue at all. My Golden loves to play if yours does! If not, I have the space to separate dogs too. Lastly, I have experience giving dogs meds as some of the dogs in my care have different long term conditions. Please reach out with any questions! Can’t wait to meet your precious pups! Please contact me if you have any remaining questions! I am mostly free over the summer and weekends. I run errands or make plans outside of when I’m taking care of pets. Pet care is my priority while hosting! I have a fenced in yard, my own can join in play if wanted, I have gates/doors and a finished lower level where I can separate dogs if need be, and have multiple kennels. I allow dogs on furniture, but can follow owner house rules.
“This was an amazing experience! I needed to make a trip to Ankeny and couldn’t leave my dog home for that long of a time so I hopped on this app and found her, so glad I did! “Alexandra is great with Winnie and very communicative. She understood concerns I had and ensures Winnie gets a good mix of play and rest time. I’m not sure Winnie wants to leave when I come pick her up! She clearly enjoys her time here.”

“Sarah and her kids were great with Ozzy! He seemed like he had tons of fun and was so tired at pickup. That was the best result being that he napped the entire time on the next road trip destination. She handled Ozzy with care and sent lots of fun updates. 5⭐️!!!”

About: Not only have I had my own animals most of my life but for 3 or 4 years I was also a foster home for the breed Weimaraner. Animals are like my kids and so will be your animals. I am very protective and treat all animals as my own whether they are in my house or there own. If I’m my home or there own I would follow there owners instructions on what is required.

About: Spending time and interacting with animals has always been a passion of mine. Over the years I helped my grandma run her dog sitting service, taking the dogs for walks and cleaning up the kennels. I also enjoy being outside and taking my own dog for long walks and fun trips to the dog park. My dog is a family member and I intend on treating yours the same way. Your dog will have a great time exploring the city and playing with others at the dog park. I hope to someday have my own place where I can board dogs just like grandma did!!! I spend 90% of my time with dogs and we enjoy playing with other pups at the dog parks, we are traveling nomads and look forward to meeting you My dogs live in my van with me Both are crate trained. I feed my dogs twice a day. They enjoy laying around the house being lazy. Going to the dog park to play with others is always fun too!!! We also enjoy walking

I work out of my garage and am home based and will have lots of time for your animals in my house and fenced in yard Large fenced in yard, I have cats but they have rooms to hide if your dog doesn't like cats, I have a bloodhound that loves to play with others and is a sweet boy and sleeps about 22 hours a day 🤣
“Meghann was so responsive when we reached out somewhat last-minute and communicated seamlessly while providing care for Monte. Would absolutely recommend Meghann and we’ll be using her again!”

About: I grew up on a farm, caring for pets of all shapes and sizes! I've had many dogs over the years, from young to old and big to small. I am experienced with giving medication, baths, nail trims and love! I am very adaptable to your pets needs. I am recently graduated from college, and currently am not working a job, so am free nearly all the time. When I do begin work, I do not plan to work longer than 8 hour shifts and am willing to drive back to take care of your pup during breaks. I am able to host pets in my apartment! I live in an upstairs 1-bedroom apartment and spend much of my time there, when not in school. I have a 360°camera installed to watch your pet if I have to spend any time away. My apartment complex has a spacious lawn that is entirely fenced in. In my clients home, I am extra careful to follow any house rules. In case of overnight caretaking, I am comfortable with any sleeping arrangements (couch etc.). My top priorities are your pup and your preferences!
About: Dogs have always been in my life. I volunteered at Animal Lifeline for 8 years and had a dog daycare of my own for a while. Dogs are everything and I’d be honored to love on yours. I currently work full time from home so doggie day care is definitely doable! My day ends at 3 pm so I can be that late afternoon or evening potty break or walk. Weekends have potential as well with pre-arranged time and notice. Should your dog(s) stay with me during the day, I have a fenced yard and no carpet in case of oopsies! If you request that I come to your house I am very reliable, responsible and respectful. I can guarantee a boat load of scritches and belly rubs as well as time for “business”.
About: I have personally had a pet or 3 since I was 13 years old. I begged for a cat for years and once I got one, I never have been without at least one pet. I have been volunteering with the ARL since 2005. I have had 30+ foster dogs through them as well. I just love animals. I do have weekends blocked but just ask about availability! I am retired. I enjoy going for walks with dogs and depending on the dog spending time outside in my fenced in backyard. I have a 6 foot fence. Your dog will have the ability to be part of our family and our family pets are on our furniture. We do separate our home animals, fosters and house guests at night. The "regulars" get to sleep in our beds while our guests get other accommodations. It makes for better harmony for us. Because we foster on a regular basis our animals are very used to different dogs coming into our home. Our home is pretty quiet and relaxing.

About: Feeding, watering, and exercising your four-legged family members is the easy part. My priority is making sure your furry friends feel loved and special while you’re not able to be there. I know the stress and worry of having to be away and hoping your pet is being well-cared for. I am there to ease your mind and to make it less stressful for you and your pet. I am an expert cat and dog snuggler and have been known to be a cat whisperer for those felines that don’t warm up easily. Although I am new to this platform, I am not new to taking care of pets. I have been a cat and dog owner for over 30 years. I am also a proud cat/dog auntie for my nieces and nephew’s pets. Over the years I have also watched many friends pets while they travel. For most of last year while traveling for work, I housesat and watched furry loved ones through another platform while traveling for work in the DC area. I have been in healthcare for more than two decades, but I am currently on a break to work on some new projects. That work happens in my home office and I am my own boss. So my schedule is open and flexible. I am also comfortable taking care of special medical issues your pet may have. I have been in healthcare for more than two decades, but I am currently on a break to work on some new projects. That work happens in my home office and I am my own boss. So my schedule is open and flexible. I am also comfortable taking care of special medical issues your pet may have. I will care for your pets like they are my own and will follow any special instructions/rules that you have. Their safety is my top priority
About: I have lots of experience working with dogs with Thyroid disorders, joint problems, hip problems, diabetes, and special diets. I'm very flexible. All you have to do is ask and we'll see. I've had Chocolate Labs, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, Poodles, Terriers, and Shih Tzus. I love animals especially puppies and dogs. I am also willing to watch your cats if you also have them. I wanted to be a veterinarian or veterinary assistant but I didn't quite have the grades for it so that's why I decided to become a dog sitter, a dog walker, pet care taker, dog lover, and pet lover. I will take the best care of your pet and love it like my very own. Hope to hear from you soon. I'm available for house sitting on weekends and some week nights just ask me. Availability for pet care all week depending on the hours needed. I always accompany pets when they are outside even in a fenced in yard. I take short or long walks depending on what is requested.
“Paige walked my 85lb Golden Retriever each weekday. Paige is very reliable and communicative and my Auggie looked forward to their daily walks. I will be using Paige more and I highly recommend Paige.”

About: I had my own dog for 15 years and spend lots of time training him, walking him, and learning to care for him on a daily basis. We got him when he was very young and he loved to an old age for a lab, so I have experience with both young and old dogs. I don’t currently have any pets as I am a college student, but I have experience caring for pets in the past. I can follow instructions easily and am very responsible when it comes to caring for animals. I make sure to keep the environment calm and peaceful as I know some animals can get scared when around unfamiliar people or in an unfamiliar place. I love to pet animals and show them affection, but also give them their own space when it is needed. I love to play with more energetic animals and take them for walks/runs, but for more sedentary animals I make it a priority to let them chill and keep an eye on them in case any needs arise.
About: What truly sets me apart is that I don’t just view pet sitting as a job; I view it through the lens of a dedicated pet parent. My own 80lb German Shepherd/Husky mix is my absolute entire world, and raising a large, highly intelligent, and high-energy breed has given me incredible hands-on experience. Because of my background, I am entirely comfortable, confident, and physically capable of handling large breeds and managing strong pullers on walks with secure, attentive leash handling. I am also deeply attuned to unique personality quirks, whether a dog has high-energy mental stimulation needs, a specific grazing/eating habit that requires patience, or anxiety around changes in routine. I treat every single animal with the exact same level of devotion, love, and strict safety standards that I give my own. Because my own dog is the center of my life, a pet-centric schedule is already second nature to me. My daily routine is built entirely around consistent morning and evening walks, and plenty of dedicated playtime and mental stimulation. Integrating your pet into my schedule is easy because I am already very active, organized, and adhere to a structured routine at home. I am able to do this because I work from home and my work schedule is very flexible. Whether I am stopping by for a drop-in visit, or taking your dog for a walk, your pet becomes a natural extension of my day. I treat every single animal with the exact same level of devotion, love, and strict safety standards that I give my own. When caring for your pet in your home, my absolute highest priorities are safety, emotional comfort, and respect for your space. I will strictly adhere to your specific instructions, security preferences, and your dog’s established routine to keep their stress levels at zero and to give you peace of mind when you have to be away from them. I know how much trust it takes to let someone into your home, and to leave your furry loved one in the care of someone else. I treat every single animal with the exact same level of devotion, love, and strict safety standards that I give my own.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, of all shapes and sizes. I love all animals. I’ve grown up with working dogs, big dogs, feral cats, farm animals, horses, and everything in between. I am always willing to go for midday lunch walks (in the Ankeny/Polk City area) or weekend check ins in the metro, while you are out and about being social. My husband works blue collar, so sometimes I have a lot of time to myself while he’s working, I’d love to fill in with walks at night or weekends in the Highland Park/Saylor TWP/Beaverdale areas, but willing to venture out into the metro. I am always very cautious when going in for my furry friends for walks, making sure they are safe. I’m full of love and attention and energy to burn so I’d love a buddy. I’ve worked with highly trained dogs, and will honor any and all training your dogs follows.

About: Hi! I'm Ross, I grew up having Labrador Retrievers as family pets and have always had a strong love of dogs. I like all dogs, big or small! I now have a 2 year old Chocolate Lab, who I've trained myself. I'm great at responding to a pets needs. I love to give them the attention and play that they want while maintaining appropriate disciple/doggie boundaries ( like not jumping up on strangers). I am good at reading dogs body language which helps to know if they are tired, playful, need to go to the bathroom, not feeling well, or just need some attention! Working from home gives me extra flexibilty to give the pups extra attention when they need it. Regardless of the setting I am able to follow the guidelines that you have set up for your pet. I look forward to getting to know your dogs!!
“Shaelea was warm and welcoming to my doggo. I was anxious leaving him at a new person's home, but I had nothing to worry about! He had a great time and came home happy! Shaelea was great with communication and flexible with pickup and drop-off. I would recommend her and would happily board with her again.”

“I think Missy has got to be the best sitter my dog Bella has ever had. Not only did Missy welcome the challenge of a spicy chihuahua but she mastered it. By the end she let her hold her! And if any of you are owners of little anxious dogs you know this is a big deal!! Missy also did a great job communicating with us and sending tons of photos which we appreciated. Having Bella stay with Missy made us feel at ease, allowing us to enjoy our trip to the fullest knowing Bella was in good hands. Would highly recommend booking with Missy and I’m sure Bella looks forward to her next visit!”

“Ashly once again took care of our baby and did a great job! She was flexible with drop off/pick up and communication options with my husband since I was going to be out of town when he dropped Hank off and picked him up! Grateful that she cares for our fur baby as her own!”

“Awesome Awesome Awesome 5 ⭐ If I could give more I would 😊 They did amazing...very attentive... understanding, they sent videos and pictures, communicated with us on how he was doing morning and night...Kimberlee and Mitchell understood the assignment...We had a problem with a previous Rover sitter and we really wasn't sure if we wanted to do this again but I'm glad we did because they were Awesome...We will definitely book with them in the future and if you have a fur baby and he is needy/separation anxiety go with them...there were other dogs around to help put his mind at ease (I didn't get any bad reviews) Again 5 ⭐ Don't hesitate 😊”

“My Buddy had a great time with Elizabeth. He made good friends with her dogs, loved her backyard, and enjoyed his walks. This is my first extended time leaving him so I really appreciated all the pictures and video updates.”
