About: Hi, I'm Emily! I'm not just a dog lover - I've been a dog mom to just about every size and personality. Over the years I've had my own Chihuahuas, Labs, Olde English Bulldogs, American Staffordshires, and American Bullies. So I’m very comfortable with strong, energetic breeds as well as tiny lap dogs who think they run the house. I particularly love the bully breeds - no judgment, just structure, play, and lots of affection. I know how to read body language for both a nervous 4lb Chihuahua and an 80lb Lab who thinks they’re a lap dog. I’ve cared for a dog who required a strict daily medication routine, so I am meticulous about timing, dosages, and watching for side effects. Pills, liquid meds, special feeding schedules - I’ve done it all and I take it seriously. My home is calm with a structured routine. My husband and I are early to bed and early to rise. I keep a clean but dog-proofed home with a predictable routine for potty breaks, walks, play, and rest. We walk in the mornings and sometimes again in the evening if the weather allows. I only book one client at a time so your pup(s) will get plenty of attention! I promise to send lots of updates, photos, and videos so you never worry. Your pup will be treated like family here - safe, loved, allowed on the couch and in the bed and very well cared for while you're away. I have a securely fenced yard and take daily walks in my neighborhood for exercise. Inside, dogs have plenty of places to lounge, with dog beds, toys, and a quiet areas for naps. My home is non-smoking, no kids with one American Bully named Rosco. Rosco is neutered, two years old, about 80 lbs and loves other dogs. Rosco is a high energy dog who does best with dogs who are playful but also tolerant. Rosco also does great with smaller dogs and puppies. I am open to dogs over 40lbs but not more than 60lbs. I never leave dogs unattended for long without them being kenneled. I am home most of the day but utilize kennels when we’re gone for everyone’s safety. We follow a twice a day feeding schedule and I will gladly follow your instructions to the letter for feeding, crate time, and walks. I’m currently between jobs and have plenty of time for pet care. My husband works during the week and is around in the evenings and the weekends to help care for our pups. I have a fenced in yard a very friendly bulldog named Rosco to keep your pup company. I can also crate your pup if needed.

I love to give them the attention and play that they want while maintaining appropriate disciple/doggie boundaries ( like not jumping up on strangers). I am good at reading dogs body language which helps to know if they are tired, playful, need to go to the bathroom, not feeling well, or just need some attention! About: NOTE: Off during summer, but I work weekdays throughout the school year. Still available during school, but pets will be at home without me on weekdays for about 7 hours. I have owned and cared for dogs for over 25 years. I have cared for small dogs <25 pounds all the way up to large sized Great Danes > 200 pounds. I have been fostering dogs for Safe Paws Iowa for the past 4 years. I am available for a large portion of the summer because I only coach softball outside of the school year. I am very active and would love to share that energy with dogs! Walking, jogging, or just playing in the doggy pool is no issue at all. My Golden loves to play if yours does! About: Not only have I had my own animals most of my life but for 3 or 4 years I was also a foster home for the breed Weimaraner. Animals are like my kids and so will be your animals. Would prefer to discuss with each animal owner what is needed as I work full time but I am flexible so would like to be contacted. I am very protective and treat all animals as my own whether they are in my house or there own. If I’m my home or there own I would follow there owners instructions on what is required.

About: I have personally had a pet or 3 since I was 13 years old. I begged for a cat for years and once I got one, I never have been without at least one pet. I have been volunteering with the ARL since 2005. I have had 30+ foster dogs through them as well. I just love animals. I do have weekends blocked but just ask about availability! I am retired. I enjoy going for walks with dogs and depending on the dog spending time outside in my fenced in backyard. I have a 6 foot fence. Your dog will have the ability to be part of our family and our family pets are on our furniture. We do separate our home animals, fosters and house guests at night. The "regulars" get to sleep in our beds while our guests get other accommodations. It makes for better harmony for us. Because we foster on a regular basis our animals are very used to different dogs coming into our home. Our home is pretty quiet and relaxing.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, of all shapes and sizes. I love all animals. I’ve grown up with working dogs, big dogs, feral cats, farm animals, horses, and everything in between. I am always willing to go for midday lunch walks (in the Ankeny/Polk City area) or weekend check ins in the metro, while you are out and about being social. My husband works blue collar, so sometimes I have a lot of time to myself while he’s working, I’d love to fill in with walks at night or weekends in the Highland Park/Saylor TWP/Beaverdale areas, but willing to venture out into the metro. About: I had dog when I was only 5 years old and always been taking care of dogs since I was growing up and now have my own baby, Porky and everyone always relies on me to watch their dogs and caring fir them while they are gone. About: Hi! I'm Ross, I grew up having Labrador Retrievers as family pets and have always had a strong love of dogs. I like all dogs, big or small! I'm great at responding to a pets needs. I love to give them the attention and play that they want while maintaining appropriate disciple/doggie boundaries ( like not jumping up on strangers). I am good at reading dogs body language which helps to know if they are tired, playful, need to go to the bathroom, not feeling well, or just need some attention! Working from home gives me extra flexibilty to give the pups extra attention when they need it. Regardless of the setting I am able to follow the guidelines that you have set up for your pet. “We went to do a meet and greet with Shea a few weeks before Maisy stayed with Sheas family. The house was well kept and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We will be making arrangements with Shea in the future for additional stays with Shea and her family. I could tell that Maisy felt very comfortable with them by how well she ate her food while staying with them. I highly recommend giving Shea the opportunity to care for you pet.”

Our dogs had a blast and were absolutely treated with the same love and snuggles our family gives. “I think Missy has got to be the best sitter my dog Bella has ever had. Not only did Missy welcome the challenge of a spicy chihuahua but she mastered it. By the end she let her hold her! And if any of you are owners of little anxious dogs you know this is a big deal!! Missy also did a great job communicating with us and sending tons of photos which we appreciated. Having Bella stay with Missy made us feel at ease, allowing us to enjoy our trip to the fullest knowing Bella was in good hands. Would highly recommend booking with Missy and I’m sure Bella looks forward to her next visit!”
