About: I have extensive experience in dog training and care as my Dad’s business was in rehabilitation, training and boarding for dogs. About: For my kindergarten career day I showed up as a vet. After that, I became the kid in the house that would constantly be "adopting" new animals. It goes without saying that I've always been an animal lover. This led me to study and graduate with a bachelors in animal science and veterinary studies. Throughout my bachelors I was a foster parent for my university's pre veterinary and pet rescue group. During this time I fostered dozens of pets (cats and dogs). After graduating I developed an entered in conservation and my career path shifted to the study of wildlife conservation. However I worked for 3 years as a veterinary technician while I continued to pursue my career in conservation. Two of these years were at a pet veterinary clinic and one year was as a wildlife rehabilitation of migratory birds. Also worked at Maui Humane Society as an Enrichment and Behavioral Technician. Right now I have beautiful 3 year old tabby cat who is not a queen but a "Khaleesi" and her little sister Arya. However I thought I'd share the love since they’re so spoiled. I know that with my academic and professional experience I'm more than prepared but as a pet parent myself and a veterinary technician I understand that no matter how safe they are, we still worry. They can be separated and sometimes will be regardless since just like people some animals just aren't meant to get along. All of these things will be discussed before on you agreeing on my services. We have a fenced yard and a few (partially fenced) acres of land beyond that for the pups to play and fetch the ball (depending on your comfort level with that, of course). Delilah is a sweet 4 year old golden retriever who loves equally to play and chill. Bear is a 2 year old golden Aussie who *always* loves to play and love on other pups! We live 10 minutes from both Olinda forest and Makawao forest so we usually go for morning walks there 4-5 days week. We would love to bring your pup along with us! I work from home during the day. I’m never gone for more than a 5-6 hour time frame at a time and on top of that, we have a doggy door for the dogs to go in and out freely in our fenced yard. I have a fenced yard for the dogs to hang out in and a few acres beyond that (partially fenced) for them to run around and get their energy out in. I’m always watching the dogs when they are beyond the fully fenced yard. I will also make sure you are comfortable with your dog in this situation before doing so.

Kira has separation anxiety, and I was really worried about how she'd handle being away from me, but they were so understanding, supportive, and flexible. They even invited us for a meet-and-greet on short notice, which made me feel much more at ease. The place itself is amazing—spacious and full of outdoor areas where dogs can run and explore. Kira felt at home almost immediately, and it was such a relief to see her so comfortable. They genuinely cares about the dogs, and it showed in how they interacted with Kira and me and how they took the time to ensure she was settling in well. Having her in such a safe, loving environment really took a lot of stress off me during a difficult time. I will definitely be bringing Kira back in the future—she had such a great experience! My dog has been suffering with short term separation anxiety and having their home available to dogsit and board has been so so helpful. The property has plenty of space for the pups to roam around, and they have even sent photos and videos of how my dog has responded to being left with them. When I come to collect him he always wants to stay and is always exhausted when he gets home because he has had so much fun during his day. You can tell they love dogs and have a long history of working with them.”
About: From puppies to seniors, we've cared for and loved them all. Jack Russels, Chihuahuas and all the mixes. We at one time had 3 little ones in our lives cause we couldn't watch the one sweet chihuahua that belonged to our friend go back to the pound when he didn't quite fit in well with their kids. We took him home to find him a home and we sure did! 13 years of his little life wasn't enough time. Love fostering with Maui Humane when we can, hard to say goodbye but worth it to make their life just a little better for a bit. I work part time from home so I'm usually around to play or snuggle with your pup. We are mostly home bodies so even on the weekend your pup won't be lonely. We have a friendly (for a chihuahua lol) 4 year old Chihuahua that is always looking for playmates! We have an outside space where they can run that energy off too and live close to the beach! So if the paw parents approve we're happy to enjoy nightly sunsets or early morning beach walks while it's not too hot. During the day they can lounge or play in the house or choose to lay in the sun on our fenced front lanai. Special diets don't intimidate me. Ours is a picky eater so I understand the need to mix up the meals every once in a while.

Not long after I dropped my dog off, Michele reached out to let me know that my dog was content, getting along well with her dog, and exploring her new surroundings. That early check-in brought me such a sense of relief. Later, she sent me a photo of my dog resting peacefully in her garden while she gardened nearby, which spoke volumes about how safe and settled my dog felt. Michele was incredibly patient, kind, and genuinely present. She snuggled with my dog on the couch, included her in daily activities (like “helping” in the garden), and it was sweet that she seemed to enjoy my dog’s company. That matters to me more than I can easily express. Having a dog with extra needs can come with a lot of worry about being a burden, and it was sweet to sense that it wasn’t that at all for them. It was also deeply reassuring that they have an older dog themselves. Michele truly understands the rhythms, sensitivities, and nervous systems of senior and special-needs dogs. When I picked my dog up, she was happy to see me and tired in the best way—but most importantly, she was calm and regulated. This tells me everything about the quality of care she received. This kind of support is immensely valuable. I would absolutely recommend Michele and Brian, especially to anyone with an older, anxious, or special-needs dog who needs more than basic sitting. Finding someone like this feels rare, and I would trust them with my dog again without hesitation.”

About: I’ve been a dog lover since my first puppy, Zeus. I had him and grew up with him for ten years of my life and now I am blessed with another puppy, Koda. I’ve always had a soft spot for dogs and show the most attentive care for them. Especially because my Koda has seizures, I’m always home and around. And our loving little town has an amazing dog park for outdoor time. Everyday, koda and I begin our morning with a walk then breakfast. I am always home so he’s glued to my side during the day. We do our thing around the house or on sunny days we head out to the dog park. Afterwards it’s back home and dinner time. I have my fur baby so your loved one will never be alone. I allow pets on furniture and to freely Rome the house. Any outdoor time would be walks around the neighborhood or to the dog park.

I’ve been caring for animals my whole life- as a child my family and I rescued/rehabilitated dogs and cats, at 13 I started my first dog walking business, at 15 I started petsitting, and I’ve been dog walking and petsitting ever since 🐾 I love dog walking, pet sitting, a drop ins! I gear my care towards the specific needs/preferences of the pet and their owner, but I do everything! Walks, play time, fetch, couch cuddles, you name it! I have experience with elderly animals, large dogs, and puppies. Tell me about your pet and I will listen! What are their likes/ dislikes/ schedule/ sensitivities/ favorite toy? I work part time (my shifts are midday to early evening, two or three days per week ), so I have lots of free time to walk/ drop in/ stay with your pet! My morning’s are wide open, as well as most afternoons/evenings. For petsitting clients, I can let you know my exact work schedule and adjust my shifts if needed. Your pet’s safety and your home’s security is my highest priority. I pride myself on leaving every space better than I found it; For petsitting clients I clean up after myself so you’ll always come home to an empty sink, clean sheets/towels, and a vacuumed floor!

About: I grew up with a dog and have watched many different types of dogs since I was a teenager. I routinely walk and feed my roommates dogs when they are at work. Walking dogs is a great way for me to get daily exercise too. I’m only working part time so I am available throughout the week and have a very flexible schedule right now. I have experience dog sitting on the mainland I moved to Maui 3 years ago and I am missing having some furry friends! I currently work 4 days a week in Paia. If your dog is well behaved they may come to work with me! If not Friday-Monday I will be gone for 8hrs. I enjoy going for walks either in the morning or after work! Pets in my home are welcome anywhere in the house and are fed twice a day with a minimum one walk a day ideally two. (I don’t currently have any pets of my own in the home)

We have one small dog of our own, a 10 year old Shiba Inu, who is very chill and gets along great with other dogs! Both my husband and I have had dogs our entire lives and have plenty of experience caring for them. My husband is known in our family as the “dog whisperer.” We have family on the mainland and travel back a couple of times a year, so we understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pets while you’re away.
