He loved playing with their two doodles, Chase and Rusty, and even got to meet their goats, pigs, chickens, and play with their kiddos. Their fully fenced yard (many acres) was perfect for safe playtime and gave us extra peace of mind. Julie went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable leaving him, especially since Chiko is deaf and uses a special collar. She took the time to learn how to communicate with him, which gave us such reassurance. We loved the adorable photo updates throughout his stay, and when we picked him up, he was one happy (and tired!) pup who fell right asleep as soon as we got home. We are so grateful to Julie and her family for the wonderful care they gave our pup, and we can’t wait for him to stay with them again. Highly recommend!”

About: As a lover of all creatures great and small and the owner of many myself I know how hard it can be to be away from your pets. I have experience with medicating pets as I’ve had several geriatric animals myself and I will send updates regularly. I am at home full time and spend most of my time with my animals. I would love to have the opportunity to care for yours as well. I have a 2 fenced yards, one enclosed boarding stall that is 15 by 15. I do allow dogs to be boarded in my home but they must be cat tested.

She drove almost an hour from her home to come to my wedding, watch and take care of my dogs at the wedding, and then take a dog home with her for the night. And this is all after she ran a race the morning of. She communicates so well and is a total pro. I had no idea what I was doing or how to handle the dogs for the day and I don’t think we could have had the dogs there without her. My lab had explosive diarrhea IN BRITTANY’S CAR because of course the day had to have some hiccups and Brittany took such good care of her and my other dog. She is very kind, did so well with the stress of the situation and helped us figure out what to do next. She also made sure my other dog was fed because we forgot his food. I can’t thank you enough Brittany. I live an hour away from Brittany and would happily drive that far in the future to know my pets are in good hands.”

I have lived on a farm surrounded by dogs, horses, and cats, which gave me years of hands on experience caring for animals of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. After losing my beloved German Shepherd, I began fostering others through rescues. A journey that’s been both healing and incredibly rewarding. It’s deepened my understanding of different temperaments, training needs, and the importance of patience, structure, and gentle consistency. Whether I’m boarding, house sitting, or stopping in for a visit, I focus on creating a calm, loving environment where every pet feels safe and cared for like family. I am usually gone around 6-8 hours a day at most. I do not have a fenced in yard, but I would only take outside on leash. I have a cat. I can keep the cat separated if needed.

About: I’ve always had dogs at home, up to three at once! Most all raised and trained from puppy stages. I had a disabled dog recently who lost usage of her back legs and was incompetent. She required lots of help and being carried around but was a sweetheart. Currently I have eight geckos as well as two snakes, a skink, two cats (mostly outdoor) and one dog. My dogs name is Luna, she’s almost two years old, deaf and mentally special but as friendly as can be! (Several rooms for separation of my dog if needed as well as my crate. So far she gets along well with others) My current weekly routine is as follows: Monday: Feed Cats and Dog x2, feed and mist geckos Tuesday: Feed cats and dog x2 Wednesday: Feed cats and dogs x2, feed and mist geckos, feed skink, feed hognose Thursday: Feed cats and dog x2 Friday: Feed cats and dog x2, feed and most geckos Saturday: Feed cats and dog x2, feed skink Sunday: Feed cats and dog x2 Feed and mist geckos Saturday I go out about every hour and a half for potty breaks. I do not have a fence but I have a large pasture as well as lots of leads. I’m willing to walk for hours with your pet on a leash! I have one friendly pup to keep yours company and I have a spare room. I have the ability to crate my dog and space for a crate for yours if provided. We go out after every food and water break, get lots of cuddles and extra play time!

About: I’ve always had pets growing up from cats, dogs to having a pet flying squirrel name Ricky Bobby. I have a genuine heart and a sweet soul and I love animals . My son is in school and I’m a stay at home mom. I have plenty of time on my hands now. I have a young Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix that loves to play with other dogs. We just moved from Florida to Dahlonega and am looking forward to watching doggies here. We are minutes from downtown Dahlonega and close to all the winery’s and many waterfalls and hiking areas. We also have a Mother-in-Law suite which is a one bedroom apartment with separate entrance if you need a place to stay. Check out all the photos of the dogs I have watched. I would be home with your pet for the majority of their stay with maybe a quick trip to the store They will get a fenced in yard with plenty of sunshine and couches to lay on in the lanai. About: Since I was 9 years old I have been fortunate to grow up in a household that has always included dogs. Throughout the years, we have cared for a diverse range of breeds, including Terriers, Boxers, and Mastiffs and I wouldn't have it any other way (except for maybe more dogs). I was raised to care for and love them like I would any family member. I have administered medication to not only my own animals, but to others as well. Not only that, I can perform hygiene tasks such as bathing, brushing, etc. I work remotely and have the flexibility to create my own schedule. This gives me plenty of time to spend with your pup while you're away! I have a fenced-in yard with ample amounts of running space. I have three sweet pups: a 13-year-old Westie, a 3-year-old Shepherd, and a yellow Lab who is less than a year old. They are happy to help keep your fur babies busy during playtime or snuggle next to them during nap time. If it's a pleasant day, we'll be outside playing in the yard or lounging in the shade. If not, there is plenty of room to entertain inside. We allow our dogs to relax on the furniture and welcome visitors to it as well; The couch is our favorite place to snuggle! “Maggie was wonderful! She took such great care of our senior Doberman. Our dog enjoyed her walks and personal care in a nice quiet environment. We have already booked our next vacation and our dog will be enjoying her own “vacation “ with Maggie, again!”
“Our pup had such an amazing time with Julie and her family! From the moment we arrived, Chiko felt right at home and quickly became part of the family. He loved playing with their two doodles, Chase and Rusty, and even got to meet their goats, pigs, chickens, and play with their kiddos. Their fully fenced yard (many acres) was perfect for safe playtime and gave us extra peace of mind. Julie went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable leaving him, especially since Chiko is deaf and uses a special collar. She took the time to learn how to communicate with him, which gave us such reassurance. We loved the adorable photo updates throughout his stay, and when we picked him up, he was one happy (and tired!) pup who fell right asleep as soon as we got home. We are so grateful to Julie and her family for the wonderful care they gave our pup, and we can’t wait for him to stay with them again. Highly recommend!”

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I've learned to care for and love them as family. I'd be so happy to look after your fur babies! My part-time job has a very flexible schedule, so I can dedicate lots of time to your pup while you're away. I have a small, 3-year-old dog who is shy at first but very friendly, and he'd love a playmate. Plus, my dog is allowed on all the furniture, and your pup would be welcome to join in on the comfort! I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your dogs! I'm available for boarding on weekends and weekdays. I have a small, friendly dog who's a bit shy at first but warms up quickly to keep your dog company. I only crate my dog for short times when I'm out of the house.

About: As a lover of all creatures great and small and the owner of many myself I know how hard it can be to be away from your pets. I have experience with medicating pets as I’ve had several geriatric animals myself and I will send updates regularly. I am at home full time and spend most of my time with my animals. I would love to have the opportunity to care for yours as well. I have a 2 fenced yards, one enclosed boarding stall that is 15 by 15. I do allow dogs to be boarded in my home but they must be cat tested.

“If Brittany is available I highly recommend booking her before someone else does. She is an absolute angel. She drove almost an hour from her home to come to my wedding, watch and take care of my dogs at the wedding, and then take a dog home with her for the night. And this is all after she ran a race the morning of. She communicates so well and is a total pro. I had no idea what I was doing or how to handle the dogs for the day and I don’t think we could have had the dogs there without her. My lab had explosive diarrhea IN BRITTANY’S CAR because of course the day had to have some hiccups and Brittany took such good care of her and my other dog. She is very kind, did so well with the stress of the situation and helped us figure out what to do next. She also made sure my other dog was fed because we forgot his food. I can’t thank you enough Brittany. I live an hour away from Brittany and would happily drive that far in the future to know my pets are in good hands.”

About: I’ve always had dogs at home, up to three at once! Most all raised and trained from puppy stages. I had a disabled dog recently who lost usage of her back legs and was incompetent. She required lots of help and being carried around but was a sweetheart. Currently I have eight geckos as well as two snakes, a skink, two cats (mostly outdoor) and one dog. My dogs name is Luna, she’s almost two years old, deaf and mentally special but as friendly as can be! (Several rooms for separation of my dog if needed as well as my crate. So far she gets along well with others) My current weekly routine is as follows: Monday: Feed Cats and Dog x2, feed and mist geckos Tuesday: Feed cats and dog x2 Wednesday: Feed cats and dogs x2, feed and mist geckos, feed skink, feed hognose Thursday: Feed cats and dog x2 Friday: Feed cats and dog x2, feed and most geckos Saturday: Feed cats and dog x2, feed skink Sunday: Feed cats and dog x2 Feed and mist geckos Saturday I go out about every hour and a half for potty breaks. I do not have a fence but I have a large pasture as well as lots of leads. I’m willing to walk for hours with your pet on a leash! I have one friendly pup to keep yours company and I have a spare room. I have the ability to crate my dog and space for a crate for yours if provided. We go out after every food and water break, get lots of cuddles and extra play time!
About: Growing up, we always had a pet in the home, and I was raised under the belief that our pets are members of the family. I have extensive experience living and caring for both dogs and cats, and I welcome the opportunity to look after your pooch or kitty! I work full-time at the Gilmer County Courthouse, but my schedule is fairly flexible throughout the week. Of course, on weekends I’m even more flexible. I usually prefer house sitting (but am open for dog walking and drop-in visits, as well as boarding) for folks and make sure to read any provided instructions multiple times!
About: As someone who personally has an animal with special needs I understand the kind of care they need! I also have experience working with animals of all ages. Along with working with animals of all ages I have both volunteered and worked at a local Humane Society. Working there entailed feeding, cleaning, and providing medical care to both cats and dogs. As a student who only works a part time job I am back and forth between campus and my house all week. With an older cat I frequently drop by my house throughout the day to check on him. Because of this I would be able to provide the same care to your animals as well. I live in a quiet neighborhood near several large parks. Because of this I will be able to not only walk dogs in my neighborhood but take them to surrounding parks to walk and play! Along with taking dogs out my home is equipped with cat friendly furniture,scratchers and enrichment.
About: I have two of my own dogs. One of them actually just had puppies and I delivered them and took care of them myself. I love big dog breeds I work full time until four Monday through Friday. I would have time to after I get off work. I am very excited to be helping others with their dogs. I take care of my two golden retrievers I have all the time. I take them on long walks everyday after I get off of work and they are very well trained and behaved
