He loved playing with their two doodles, Chase and Rusty, and even got to meet their goats, pigs, chickens, and play with their kiddos. Their fully fenced yard (many acres) was perfect for safe playtime and gave us extra peace of mind. Julie went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable leaving him, especially since Chiko is deaf and uses a special collar. She took the time to learn how to communicate with him, which gave us such reassurance. We loved the adorable photo updates throughout his stay, and when we picked him up, he was one happy (and tired!) pup who fell right asleep as soon as we got home. I have worked at vets, boarding facilities, breeders, and have owned dogs big and small my whole life! Your pups will be so loved while they are with me!! About: I had three miniature dachshunds until they all eventually passed away from old age. I treated them as if they were children. I am very in tune with an animal’s needs and emotions. Animals that I have never met before, usually take to me right away. When I cared for my father-in-law’s dog for two weeks, he did not want to return home with him….lol. I hate to see any animal suffer or be in danger. I go as far to remove turtles from the road so that they do not get hit and I have tried to save numerous injured birds in the wild. Animals, especially, dogs, provide so much unconditional love. I am a retired law enforcement officer. Thus, I have a lot of availability. I am available Sunday-Saturday 24 hours as long as I am provided at least a short notice. I have a fenced in back yard that I always ensure is securely locked at all times. About: I grew up with lots of pets and over the years, learned how to care for them. I am currently working at Coal Mountain Animal Hospital as well. I volunteered at a cat shelter for 3 years and am always pet sitting for my neighbors! I am currently a full-time student but I have a very flexible schedule with my classes! My classes are super spread out during the day so if you ever need someone to just stop by and make sure your pets are okay, I can 100% do that! I will usually take the dogs out for a walk, play with them, and make sure they have food and clean water. For cats, I’ll feed them and give them new water, check their litter to see if it needs to be cleaned, and I’ll play with them. I’m currently working Monday-Friday at an office, but working on switching to remote work so my schedule will be more flexible due to being able to work from anywhere. I have 2 dogs of my own, both I have had since they were old enough to leave their moms, one is 2 years old and one is 5 months now. My 2 year old is always ready to play and normally does really well around other dogs, but does play rough so maybe being around older dogs is not a good idea lol! The 5 month old is still getting trained and learning. I have also always grown up with dogs in the house ever since I was a baby. I can offer references of people that are not family that I have pet sat / house sat for as well.

He loved playing with their two doodles, Chase and Rusty, and even got to meet their goats, pigs, chickens, and play with their kiddos. Julie went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable leaving him, especially since Chiko is deaf and uses a special collar. She took the time to learn how to communicate with him, which gave us such reassurance. We loved the adorable photo updates throughout his stay, and when we picked him up, he was one happy (and tired!) pup who fell right asleep as soon as we got home.
