“Amika was timely and has excellent communication skills. She came to our home to meet Marvel, our four year old Frenchie. She was sure to learn about his favorite toys, snacks and schedule. After pickup, she sent timely updates. I still treasure her many pictures and videos. Amika is an absolute Angel! She was patient, kind, attentive and diligent in her pursuit of a friendship with Marvel, our 4-year old Frenchie. Marvel is a rescue who lived a very difficult life ahead of finding our family. Because of this, he is very distrusting of new people. Her generosity was overwhelming. As she realized his deference towards her would require more wooing. She committed to winning him over, even purchasing him a huge pack of his favorite toys– tennis balls. She even refused reimbursement. 10/10 I will book with Amika again and again!”

I will be available for early morning or late evenings pick up and drop offs + being home during the day so your animals have that quality time! About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life and have a deep love for both dogs and cats. I’ve owned four dogs over the years and currently have three rescue pups of my own—including one foster “fail” (lesson learned: don’t foster puppies 😊). Those days dogs get a 15 min break midday while I am away from my dog sitter. I work from home most of the time. I am usually not away from home for more than 4 hours. During the fall semester, I am away on T/R for about 8 hours a day. I have a large fenced yard and 3 dogs at home. Two of my dogs are seniors and one is almost 3 years old with lots of playful energy. I also have a large finished attic space that I use for doggy play, especially when it's super hot/cold outside.

About: I have been a dog groomer for 5 years. I worked out of Lynchburg, VA’s #1 dog salon. I provided grooming classes and puppy training (learn name, sit, stay, come, off leash, and potty training), on site as well. In my home, dogs get walks in the morning and evening, plenty of play and sniff time throughout the day, and a cozy space to relax when they want downtime. I keep water fresh, rotate toys for enrichment, and provide a calm environment that feels like a second home. I supervise closely, especially during introductions and transitions, and I give dogs the space they need to settle in and feel comfortable. If I am in your home, I follow your rules fully. I respect boundaries, furniture rules, crate expectations, feeding instructions, and any training you are currently working on. I clean up after pets, monitor behavior, and make sure your home is treated with care. I send updates, pictures, and check-ins regularly so you always know how your pup is doing. My goal is always the same. I treat your pet the way I treat mine, with attention, patience, love, and routine. Whether you prefer in-home care or care in your home, your dog will be safe, understood, and well loved.

“Amika was timely and has excellent communication skills. She came to our home to meet Marvel, our four year old Frenchie. She was sure to learn about his favorite toys, snacks and schedule. After pickup, she sent timely updates. I still treasure her many pictures and videos. Amika is an absolute Angel! She was patient, kind, attentive and diligent in her pursuit of a friendship with Marvel, our 4-year old Frenchie. Marvel is a rescue who lived a very difficult life ahead of finding our family. Because of this, he is very distrusting of new people. Her generosity was overwhelming. As she realized his deference towards her would require more wooing. She committed to winning him over, even purchasing him a huge pack of his favorite toys– tennis balls. She even refused reimbursement. 10/10 I will book with Amika again and again!”
