About: Finding good, trustworthy, affordable care for your pets in the Keys can be challenging. Our family struggled for years to find a pet sitter and dog walker we could trust. So when I finally retired, I wanted to be able to do for others what I wish I could find for my family. I absolutely adore dogs and cats and have cared for my own (plus too many fosters to count) for over 30 years. I volunteer for several pet rescues and my husband and I have set up our family run 501c3 rescue transport with a dream of starting our own dog sanctuary someday. I am extremely active and one of my true joys is dog walking and outdoor playtime so rest assured your dogs will get plenty of exercise (if that’s what you’d like). I am retired and have an extremely flexible schedule so whether it’s just a single mid day walk or 3-4x a day visits while you’re on vacation, I can be there. I have a great deal of experience in special needs (I have 3 myself) and elderly dogs and cats and treat them with special patience and understanding. I have experience with puppies and their challenges and I have an impressive understanding of breed and behaviors. I have had my own dogs… I currently do not have any dogs though. I currently work full-time as a teacher, but I have flexibility to come home during the day. and I am finished each day by 2:30 I live in an apartment under a house with a very large yard, but not fenced in… My landlord‘s upstairs do have a big Doberman, but he is super friendly.
