When I picked up my pups they were calm and happy which is not normally the case. Usually when they have been away from me they are anxious when I pick them up and it takes several days to settle. You wouldn’t have known that I had been away. I really appreciate Laura and her husband. They were great gift during a difficult time for me when I had to leave quickly for my brother’s funeral. I’m a great balance between active and just keeping company - from puppies/kittens to senior pets I work weekday mornings but am free after 1pm daily and all day Wednesday and Sunday — plenty of time for walks, drop-ins, overnight care, or just hanging out with pets. I live in a pet-free apartment in a safe, walkable neighborhood with access to a nearby dog park. I share the space with a pet-loving roommate, and we both enjoy spending time with animals. About: My family and I have what my mom calls a pet ministry. Since our family dog passed in 2017 my mom hasn’t been able to get over the loss. Fortunately in lieu of getting another dog, we have hosted/borrowed dogs of friends and neighbors. She has an amazing backyard, yet still invests her time in walking the dogs — my doggy came home happily tired, which is great!
