About: I'm a teacher during the day, so my hours are flexible, especially during the summer. I'm a dog and a cat lover and would love to have some extra dog company. My two cats are used to dogs and don't mind them at all. I will go the extra mile to care for your fur babies as I would take care of mine. My first two dogs I had when I was younger, were Schipperkes named Skylar and Sampson. They were very hyper and lots of fun to walk around. I think I ended up making a ton of friends when I would take them with me because they were so interesting. That's what I like about dogs, they bring people together; love to all!

About: Welcome to Calusa Kennels and Dog Retreat. We aim to be the last dog boarding service you will ever need in the Fort Myers, Estero, Corkscrew area. Both my wife, Samantha, and I have owned dogs our entire lives. We each have decades of experience caring for dogs of all sizes, including our own dogs and other people's. Aside from providing any necessary care, I am experienced with training, including obedience and training bird dogs. Samantha is a nurse in the Trauma ICU and we both have experience providing basic medical care to pets. Dog boarding is our main priority and we are accepting dogs 24/7. Pet care IS our routine. We are Currently working on installing a new facility on our property which will increase our capacity for boarding. We have a spacious 6 Acre fenced property to provide endless enjoyment, keep your dog safe and two of our own friendly labradors to keep them company. I have always taken care of neighbors dog as well as my family’s pets when they travel. I have experience with shar peis, Poodles, Labrador, cocker spaniels and pugs. She has a history of abuse (but is an absolute angel) so I have experience with more difficult dogs and different behavioral needs along with training experience.
