“My active pug had a great stay with Colleen and family. I knew he was in great hands and they kept in touch with pics of Vinny and their lab Lily. Lucky to have found them!”

“Francis had a great time. Austin and Majid were extremely flexible and great at communication. We will definitely be looking to use them again. Thanks!”

“Kamille is the best! She alwaya sends videos and pictures and takes care of my dog like it’s her own. My dog gets more playtime than he does with me! I highly recommend Kamille- I’ve been leaving my dog with her for years now!”

“With a senior dog, we do get nervous about leaving mango new places. I would say within five minutes of the meet and greet it was clear that Shanilka and her husband would be taking great care of him. They asked all the right questions and during our stay sent regular updates to make sure we knew he was in good hands. Would definitely use again!”

“Alex and Daniel are so nice and so easy to deal with. And Mikey loves staying with them. They are the care-takers you are looking for for your pup!”

“Chad and Regina are exceptional dog sitters who truly go the extra mile in caring for furry friends. From their attentive care to their genuine affection, they treat my dog as if he were their own. My dog consistently returns home well-behaved and content, a testament to the excellent care provided by Chad and Regina. I wholeheartedly recommend their services to any dog owner seeking top-notch care for their beloved companions.”

“Brianne and Travis love my dog Ella and she clearly loves them. Ran right up to their house as this was the second time they boarded her. I picked her up relaxed and happy. Great people! Will book again”

“Natalia and Edward were wonderful with my dog, Olly! From the start, they were kind, responsive, and easy to communicate with, which made me feel completely comfortable leaving Olly in their care. Throughout the week, they sent me regular updates and lots of cute pictures, which I really appreciated, it was so nice to see how happy he looked. They clearly took great care of him and made sure he got plenty of attention and love. When I picked him up, he was calm, content, and clearly had a great time. I’m so grateful for the care they gave him and would absolutely book with them again. Highly recommend Natalia and Edward to anyone looking for reliable, caring sitters!”

“Sonia and her family were a perfect match for my dog who likes to lounge around. Sonia was flexible with time and my dog seemed very comfortable in her home and around her.”

“Aaron and Paweena were absolutely fantastic. A last minute work trip came up and with very little notice they agreed to watch my little buddy and took fantastic care of him. Definitely recommend.”

“Incredible! From the first moment, I knew my pup was safe and loved on. Abigail consistently communicated how he was doing and sent pictures that made my day every day! I highly recommend her services. I have booked with Rover before, but this was by far the best experience.”

“Nicole was amazing! She has been a great communicator, took pictures of my dog and some of those are my favorites of my doggo right now, and when she thought my dog might have an injury she let me know to call to see what I felt the next steps were. My princess looked so happy within Nicole’s care and she had fun with the other pups too. Thank you Nicole!”

“This is the second stay for my little dog. Feels so great to have a dependable sitter for my pup. Jeneffer is very responsive and I would definitely recommend.”
“Nadia was spectacular! She walked Ginsburg regularly and kept us updated on her activities, most regularly with photos. She wanted to send more updates, but I shared that it was unnecessary. Periodically would be fine. As a new owner of a 6-month-old puppy, and a first-time boarder, I know that puppy-energy can sometimes be a challenge. Nadia took it all in stride, providing a safe and suitable environment…and assuaging any trepidations we may have had as first-time Rover users. Thx, Nadia!”

“I've booked with Julia a few times now and always have a great experience. She spends lots of time with my dog and sends lots of photos. She has multiple spaces so she can group dogs by energy level and individualize your dogs experience. I love that my dog gets to socialize with another chihuahua, without being overwhelmed by higher energy dogs. And she has a great yard for the dogs to sniff around.”

“Hayden was great and really communicative and flexible on drop off and pick up days and times. Biggie got lots of play time and seemed happy upon return. Would definitely recommend Hayden and use him again.”

“Evan and Megan were great sitters! They communicated well the entire time we were gone and sent us pics to keep us up to date on how our puppy was doing. Highly recommended.”

“Lia was so attentive to my dog Violet! So great to know she was in such good hands, Lia asked great questions and clearly cared to make Violet comfortable and happy during her stay.”

“We went away for 9 nights , which is the longest we've left our dog! I was so anxious, but every anxiety was eased immediately! Cal and Kelly took such amazing care of our giant, spoiled chocolate lab! We got so many daily pictures and videos and could see how much love and attention he was getting ! I could really tell they were treating our pup as if he was there own and welcoming him right into their family ! They have a beautiful home and perfect yard! I am so thankful we found them and definitely will use every time we need a boarding place ! You can trust them 100% with your fur baby !”

“Felicia once again took such great care of our cats. We were overseas for a couple of weeks and it was such a relief to know Kit and Tootsie are in such good hands! Felicia shared detailed updates and many photos after each visit, and even took care of the outdoor cats we regularly feed. Thank you so much, Felicia!”

“Kate is the best! We trust her to do a thorough job keeping things in order while we’re away, but, more importantly, our kitties trust her and have learned to be themselves around her. She brings out the best in even the most shy animal.”

“Chloe was amazing -- great communication before and during her time visiting our little lady. Super reliable and took care of everything perfectly. She clearly loves cats and our cat definitely loves her! We can't wait for our kitty to have another visit with her new bestie.”

“Idit was great! Not only did she give our kitty her medications with no issue, she also updated us daily with tons of photos and notes on how she was doing. Thank you, Idit!”

“Leo is a consummate professional. He showed up for our pre-care meet and greet promptly and listened to all of our instructions and anxieties. During our 12-day trip, he showed up on time and provided excellent care to our cat. He sent a message with each visit telling us how our cat was doing and included multiple photos with each update. We would be thrilled to book Leo again the next time we need someone to drop in on our feline friend.”

About: I'm a full-time professional with fairly flexible work hours. I have two dogs, a happy, healthy 12 yr old Plott-hound mix, Ollie, and a happy, energetic and loving 2 yr old husky-shepherd mix, Bella., I've watched and cared for dozens of other dogs (friends, family, etc.) over the last 15 years and am generally known as a bit of a 'dog whisperer'. I absolutely love dogs and look forward to taking exceptional care of your pet when you need to leave them in somebody else's care. Ollie, Bella, and I walk for ~4 miles every day around the neighborhood, go to dog friendly parks/fields in my neighborhood, and walks in the woods where they can run off leash. As highlighted in the pictures, Ollie and Bella readily get along with a wide variety of dogs as a walking buddy, a sleeping buddy, or a running-around-a-field buddy. If you leave your dog with us, your dog will have new canine friends, get lots of fun neighborhood walks, and have friends to cuddle up with on the couch / in their dog bed after a long-day of walking, eating, and sleeping :). I typically do two long walks each day (one between ~7-9 AM, the other sometime between 5-7 PM). Will also do a short mid-day walk and/or a short pre-bedtime walk as needed! While Ollie and Bella were crate trained as puppies, at this point they roams freely throughout the house. That said, I'm happy to host crate-trained dogs, and more than comfortable allowing your (trained!) dog to roam free throughout my home much like my pups.
“Kaitlin was absolutely incredible! It was my pets first time being alone over night and she handled her with compassion and care. She was thorough, patient, and highly communicative. 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking for a trusted sitter in the area”

“Thomas took care of our cat for ten days while we were away. He provided excellent care, was attentive, and communicative with me about how our cat was faring. He went above and beyond, also making sure to clean our cat’s food space and play areas. I was quite anxious to leave our cat for so long but having Thomas around gave me great reassurance. I highly recommend this sitter and will be sure to seek out his services again in the future.”

“Jared was fantastic with our crew! We have a dog and cats who are pretty wary of strangers, but he was so patient and totally respected their boundaries. He eased in slowly and the results were great—everyone was happy and relaxed. The communication was awesome, and we loved getting all the updates. Plus, a huge extra thanks for cleaning up some cat vomit on our bedspread while we were out—definitely went above and beyond!”

“Lynleigh did a great job taking care of my cat while I was on a weeklong vacation. She gave my cat plenty of cuddles and sent pictures of my cat and a brief summary of each visit to me via the Rover app. She was very professional and timely with her replies via the app, which I appreciated. While I was away, Lynleigh also took the extra effort to alert me to a room temperature issue in my apartment, which was considerate. Overall, I felt comfortable being away from my cat for an extended amount of time for the first time and would request her services again in the future.”

“Erin met expectations and can tell she cared for my cat like he was her own. Just a few minor things was that my front door was left unlocked and litter was left on the floor where she cleaned the litter box. But I would recommend her services.”

“My wife and I have used Allison on several occasions to drop in and check on our two cats while we are away. She is always very responsive and attentive, making her our go-to sitter whenever we leave town. We would highly recommend her to anyone!”

About: I’ve lived with dogs since I was 8 years old. I have always had fun playing and taking care of them. My cousin and my aunt always come to me to make sure that their pets are feed and taken care of when they are gone. I’m currently in school but get out early at around 11. I can very much walk them anytime after 11 since I don’t do anything else. I can spend time with your fur baby in your backyard for however long you need me to! I am great with being out doors so I will never mind.
About: I have taken care of cats and dogs for the past five years. I am comfortable with dogs of any size. I have experience working with cats & dogs of all ages and am comfortable giving them medications. I volunteer with Lucky Dogs currently as a dog handler at events. Additionally, I volunteered for the Williamson County Animal Shelter through high school and undergrad, walking dogs as well as socializing and providing enrichment for cats. I have ample experience with stray/spicy kitties! I currently have a very flexible hybrid job and attend night university classes three days a week. Thursdays, Fridays, and weekends are my most open days of the week. I am pretty flexible and want your dog or cat to be as comfortable as possible :). If I am not staying at the home, I can stop by a minimum of three times a day. Once between 8am to 9am, once between 12pm and 1pm, and once after 4pm (can vary times as needed). During the evenings, I can stay longer to allow your pet(s) more playtime and/or be taken for a walk. My schedule is pretty flexible! *CONSTANT CARE POLICY FOR HOUSESITTING MORE THAN 24 HOURS* *this policy does not apply to drop-ins or housesitting for less than 24 hours* *constant care is a premium service and will not apply to all bookings* If your pet has a medical or non-medical reason(s) for which they require constant care, the sitter maintains the right to modify the house-sitting request rate to reflect the change in care up to an additional $50 per night per animal requiring constant care. Additional pets that do not require constant care will reflect the normal Additional Pet rate (found in services tab). Constant Care is a premium service designed for pets that cannot be left alone for medical or non-medical reasons. This includes animals who have accidents overnight or if the sitter leaves for more than 5 hours for the duration of the booking dates. Services include but are not limited to oral medication administration, assisted movement, assisted feedings, comfort, and companionship needs. Other requirements can be discussed before confirming/payment is made. I currently have a very flexible hybrid job and take night classes three times a week. I can customize and work with whatever your pet's needs may be! In the client's home, I am happy to do whatever your pet needs to keep with their routine! I am also an avid crocheter, so if your pet loves a snuggle buddy or someone in the house to hang out with, I am more than happy to be that!
“Michael regularly takes care of our three pets while we are away and consistently does an AMAZING job. He diligently follows all instructions and is very communicative and wonderful to work with.”

“Landy is not only a wonderful person but you can tell she loves animals. My cat can be very stand fish to new people and immediately fell in love with Landy after the first visit. She also was very accommodating with my needs of pick up and drop off of my keys, just a wonderful wonderful sitter!”

“Karrah took excellent care of my cat Otis while I was away for a few days. Otis warmed up to her quickly and she sent me great updates with pictures. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for cat sitting!”

“Kelsey was fabulous. Sent lots of pictures of our cat over the week we were gone. I could tell she was happy to see Kelsey when she stopped by. I would highly recommend Kelsey for any of your pet care needs!”

“Jason was wonderful. He was communicative, went above and beyond (like offering to pick up more food when I miscounted and didn't leave enough cans of food), and was generally lovely to correspond with. Me and my cats wholeheartedly endorse!”

“Josefa took special care of Indy and treated him with lots of love! She was very quick at responding to me and sent lots of pictures. I would definitely book again with her!”

“Scout, always a nervous dog, has decided she loves Cassidy and Elizabeth! This visit they played endless fetch and went on an outing in Rock Creek Park. We were so grateful for the great care they took with her. Will will definitely rebook.”

“Stephanie and Shawn are amazing! They’re an incredibly warm and hospitable family with three amazing pets that my beagle seemed to love. I felt that my pup was incredibly safe and comfortable, 15/10!”
“Michael is always reliable, this my second rover experience with michael and he’s always on top of communication, sending me photos of sevyn, asking any questions he might have. He’s honestly been such a big help on days I need someone to take care of sevyn even if it’s last minute”

“I was really impressed with Jason N. and can't recommend him highly enough! My pup is a shy rescue with separation anxiety, but she immediately felt right at home at Jason N.'s and was having so much fun with the wonderful resident dog that she barely noticed when I left. I received regular updates on her day that completely assuaged any concerns I'd normally have, and when I picked her up at the end of the day I found her happy, relaxed, and all played-out. Having someone I really trust to watch Stella is an immense piece of mind, and I'll definitely be calling Jason N. next time I need a sitter.”

“My dog was happy when I came back! Everything was great and finding Shantell's house was super easy. We were just visiting DC but when we return we will likely message her again!”

“Aaron & Paweena were great and accommodated me so last minute! My sweet boy can be a bit nervous at first when it comes to settling in but he had such a great day and was absolutely exhausted by the end of the day! I came back to him chewing on a treat they gave him & he barely acknowledged me picking him up lol this won’t be my last time booking!”

“Joey did a fantastic job to take great care of my 7-year-old labrador who had a bit of separation anxiety. I am so grateful with Joey to accept the last minute request after a brief meet up. I would love to use his services again and highly recommend him. Thanks again Joey for your flexibility and patience with Meimei!”

About: I have grown up with dogs from a young kid and they have always been a constant in my life. My kids always had at least 2 dogs in the house and even though they are gone, I still loving pets around. I specifically like to take care of small to medium dogs, senior dogs, and dogs that are house trained. I am very excited to start this journey on Rover and meet and take care of your dogs. I am retired and am at home full-time which gives me the availability to fully cater to your dogs. I like to go on walks in my neighbourhood and spend time in my fenced in backyard. I have a fenced in backyard with plent of room to play and run around. I also have a very walkable neighbourhood and have an extra room for your pet to have their space.
“Brit had such a great time with Angela! They managed two walks, despite the rain, and Brit slept the whole way home. We will definitely be back!”

“Chad and Regina were very accommodating and flexible in helping tend to my pup’s first dog sit. Feeling at ease to leave her in their good hands in the future!”

“Chris is the best! He was a total lifesaver & extremely accommodating when I needed someone to watch Casper last minute. Casper warmed up to him immediately & left his house exhausted after an eventful day!”

“Taurus was great. Highly recommend. He’s communicative throughout the process. He suggested and then we easily arranged a meet and greet before he sat the dog. Great service”

“My dog seemed happy and healthy on pickup after two nights. I didn’t meet Dominique, just met her brother on both dropoff and pickup. He was good with my dog and theirs, as well as a third old pup who was at the house at pickup. They had the porch secured with a barrier that would not hold a big or determined dog but it seemed they were out there supervising all the time so no worries about escapes. They communicated well, I got photos and a few texts around logistics. Thanks guys! We’ll definitely consider using them again.”

“Zachary and Christina are the best kept secret in DC. I tried a few other dog sitters when I moved to the area and none are as attentive. My picky dog loves going over and I’m quickly ignored as he scampers inside. They send phenomenal pictures and videos throughout the stay and my guy looks playful and happy in each one, another great sign of these thoughtful sitters.”

“Once again, Christian knocked it out of the park! Jo Jo and Corduroy were thrilled to learn they were going back to their friend’s house today and they can’t wait to go back. Thank you for your excellent care today, Christian!”

“Kat is super kind and attentive! She loves dogs and knows them well. We feel great about leaving Chester with her given how communicative she is.”

About: My Golden Lab, Grace, was my best friend. She escaped from a puppy mill at 3 months old and I had her ever since. Dogs offer such unconditional love and the chance to repay that even a little bit is rewarding. I work full time in mental health close to home. I have a flexible schedule that allows me a lot of free time and the ability to make my own schedule. I love reading, writing, cooking and exploring my new city I now call home. I'm also experienced in taking care of bunnies as well and have sat over 10 clients. I love chilling with them while reading! I mean, it’s a fact that floppy bunny ears are the cutest thing ever, right? I think Bill Nye the Science Guy taught me that. My experience with pets over the years has taught me that they often act out when they don’t feel comfortable. They also sometimes show aggression or fear in new circumstances. This is all totally normal! My first focus is always allowing a visiting pooch to scope out the place at their own pace without any distractions. This allows them to feel as comfortable as possible. I stay close and keep a special eye on them in case they’re telling me with body language that they’re upset, scared, hungry or just want some outside time! I learned from Grace that all animals deserve compassion and understanding and they’ll feel loved and understood. I would love the chance to provide a home-away-from-home for your doggie that they will love to return to each time you’re away! I work three days of the week remotely, leaving me with a lot of one on one time with your fur baby to cuddle, take a walk, or have a belly rub! When your baby steps into my home, they are now officially in a space they are free to explore without restrict so they can find the most comfortable spot that makes them feel cozy and welcomed!

“Felicia, is wonderful. Always on time and gives our Leo a nice long walk :) he’s a bit energetic so she even runs with him or plays ball some of the time.”

“This was my first time using Rover and was in a tight spot after my go-to walker was out of town. Andrew was more than we could have asked for. Our dog is an anxious fellow but took to Andrew immediately which really gave us peace of mind.”

“Top marks all around for Tori! She is easy to communicate with, showed up promptly for every walk, gave full details on our dog's care via the Rover card, and even shoveled snow off of our walkway. We would hire her again in a heartbeat.”

“We just met Allison for the introduction and it went so well. One of our dogs needs warm up time and she was patient and he went off for a walk with her. Warm, friendly and engaging.”

“George had a great walk and extra time outdoors while I was out for a full day. Thomas responded to George’s needs as an older dog sensitive to hot weather. He loved getting out for fresh air and I got a lot of cute photos!”

“What a great experience! My dog was so happy in the pics I just couldn’t believe it! Many thanks to Selam and I look forward to using her services again in the near future.”

“We are just thrilled with the care Leo's reliability, kindness, and the care he shows for our dog. I happened to be home when he came by yesterday, and saw that he removed his shoes when he came in. Our family doesn't wear shoes in the house and we have a tray next to the door for shoes, but we never ask or expect guests to remove theirs. Leo is so considerate and observant that he did this on his own. I think this speaks volumes about him. We feel very fortunate to have him caring for Jake.”

About: Currently my brother and I are working from home and don't mind having your dog here to accompany us. We love furry guests! I've had/watched dogs all my life ranging from teacups to great Danes, we love them all! Working from home 5 days a week (introverts for sure) we are available most week days and weekends. Our morning and afternoon walks for its nothing to add your fur baby! We have pups and dislike crates so I let them roam the house. If the house is too foreign I will limit them to the room im occupying with occasional backyard fun and 20/30 min walks. I also send pics daily/hourly depending on owners comfort level.

About: I was practically raised by wolves lol. Growing up in a Huge Southern Household I’ve had plenty of Paws-on experience with dozens of breeds, all sizes, ages, and temperaments. From HUGE St Bernard’s and German shepherd’s, to Pomeranians and Yorkipoos! I’m a college student on summer break, so the sky is the limit! My schedule is extremely flexible, and I will be happy to discuss that further with you. Unfortunately, I do not offer boarding services at this time. I am familiar and experienced taking precautionary measures to keep your fur baby safe and happy home and in public spaces.
About: I've taken care of dogs for close to 5 years, everything from walking, sitting, and feeding. I have helped train guiding eyes for the blind guide dogs, and have worked with a range of dogs, large to small. Im a senior in high school with a light schedule, and am free in the morning on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 12:30 to take care of pets. On weekends I have availability all day. I will provide ample exercise opportunities, treat your pet with love and affection, and maintain the routines you have established. I try to form a bond with your pet and make the most of our time together.
About: I've had a passion caring for animals since I was little. I've cared for neighbors dogs and as I get older I've participated in vet camps, volunteered and interned at animal shelters and clinics. I'm also in college majoring in animal science to eventually become a veterinarian! Pet care is already a consistent part of my daily routine so I’m comfortable fitting walks, feedings, playtime, and check-ins into my schedule. I plan my days carefully to make sure my guinea pig gets reliable attention, feed, and cuddle time. In my home, I keep my pets safe, comfortable, and on a consistent routine with food, water, cleaning, and attention. I care for my guinea pig daily, so I’m used to being responsible and attentive to pets needs. In clients homes, I follow their pet’s normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and companionship.
“We can't recommend her more! For three weeks we needed help during the day to walk our dog and she went well above and beyond not just walking him but also helping to care for him when he got sick. While in no way did we expect that level of kindness we greatly appreciated it. If you need help look no farther!”

“Thank you so much for dropping in to meet Darwin. He seems very comfortable with you. And thank you for agreeing to house sit last minute / arrange to have your friend, also on Rover, cover the time that you could not! A life saver!”

About: I grew up with two cats, a dog, and would walk dogs in the neighborhood I grew up. I’ve trained dogs to sit, stay, speak, and other basic skills. I can drop by any time as long as I have notice! External commitments are flexible. Weekends are when I am mostly available at this time. I believe in leaving things better than you found them, and I love taking care of all living beings. I show that same amount of care in others’ homes.

“Nakia continues to be a star and has gone above an beyond keeping our pup happy, healthy, and on-routine while I recover from surgery. Don't hesitate to book her!”

“Charnetta was our life saver. Winter storm Fern left us stranded and without a way back for 4 extra days. She was so flexible and communicative helping to assuage our anxiety about not getting back to our dog Effie. We received pictures and videos throughout our trip. Charnetta was on top of Effie’s medicine regime. Confident our Effie was loved!”

“Rodrigo was a lifesaver on multiple occasions in just a few short days - accepting a frantic last minute booking I had when some plans fell through and being very patient and helpful dealing with unexpected travel delays on my return. Plus I could tell Watson had a great time and got along super well with the lovely Luna. I have actually already booked again as I knew Watson is in good hands. Thanks Rodrigo!!”

“Tabatha was great! She looked after Cora last minute for a week while I was away on vacation and eased my nerves of being apart from her the entire time! She even got Cora a bandana for her birthday! I could not recommend Tabatha enough!!”

“Christian truly saved the day for me during a family emergency. She responded quickly, was very flexible, and took such good care of Caia. It gave me real peace of mind knowing Caia was with someone so kind and reliable. I’m very grateful and would absolutely trust her again.”

“Jackalyn did great with Wilbur, who needs a lot of exercise and stimulation ;). She was responsive, kind and helpful in coordinating drop off and pick up. And she sent pictures and updates on how he was doing the whole time we were gone! 10/10 will work with Jackalyn again!”

“Caitlin was great! We scheduled a meet and greet before our pup’s stay and she was very friendly & accommodating to our schedule. During our dogs stay, she sent a daily update with a few photos & how he was doing. Great experience, 10/10 would rover with Caitlin again.”

“Our second time with Michael and Ollie was even better than the first! Atlas was excited to see them again, leaving my side without any concerns at drop-off which is a rarity. And, as always, Michael was very kind, communicative, and flexible. 10/10, can't recommend this duo enough!”

“Katherin was amazing! She sent detailed and thoughtful updates about my dog’s stay, giving me at least three updates a day, with such cute pictures! She made sure my dog ate, brushed her teeth, and gave her long walks around the neighborhood. I felt at ease knowing my dog was in such good hands. I recommend Katherin, your pup will have the best stay!”

“McKinley was the best sitter we could’ve had! She was able to accommodate to a last minute request. She sent frequent updates and my pup felt so comfortable in her house with her other pets. 10/10 best sitter in the area!”
