My cat is going through chemo + has asthma, and finding a sitter who’s not just able but also enthusiastic to care for him can be tough because of how anxiety-inducing it is to leave him! Emily’s check-ins were great, her responsiveness and awareness of his health a solid 10/10, and the photos she sent were adorable. She did great at pilling him, giving him his inhaler, and even cleaning up after him when he had GI issues - the apartment looked just the way we left it when we came back! :) She also went above and beyond when it came to monitoring Bobby’s cancer/treatment symptoms, and reached out instantly if anything concerning ever popped up. You can really tell she loves cats, and it shows in how she cared for Bobby. About: I am pursuing my masters and have daily availability, I would love to spend time with your fur baby. I have experience caring for both independent and highly social cats. During drop-in visits, my routine includes thorough litter box scooping, refreshing food/water bowls, and interactive playtime or quiet companionship depending on your cat's mood. I often turn on the tv with a sleep timer for some background noise, which can help with loneliness and calm stress when there are noises outside. About: My husband Galen and I have both had dogs since we were in our teens. We are both experienced in caring and loving for our pups. As a couple we have owned pets together for 13 years. We are a US Air Force Family and have been stationed in DC for the past six years. We love how the community is a dog centric town!! Galen is full remote, meaning your pup will never be alone. We currently have a bulldog named Burrito. Our miniature american eskimo named Mojo unfortunately crossed the rainbow bridge in December 2024. I love our dogs so much I know how nerve-racking it can be to leave your BFF to a stranger. I promise I’ll provide your pet the love and attention they want or need as if they were my own. My husband is full remote and I unfortunately am back in the office full time. Galen will be home with the pups all day. I do an early morning walk and an after work walk while he does multiple midday walks. In the evenings we both are able to take the pups on long walks. We monitor any bones given and are in close proximity during feeding time. We also continuously reinforce good behaviors by pets, praise, and treats if you allow. We only accept one dog at a time. Pups are allowed on the couch. Bundy Dog Park is across the street, if you allow for additional exercise. Your dog will receive lots of pets, praise and love while in our home!

About: I grew up with cats and have grown to love dogs. I had my own cat for 13 years before he passed over the Rainbow Bridge. I love to care for my friends' pets! But with an open home, I'm ready to treat your best friend like my new best friend! I've taken care of cats and dogs extensively throughout my life including providing medication at regular intervals. I've also looked after snakes, turtles, and geckos, but I don't have any equipment to house them. But I love all animals whether fuzzy, furry, or scaly! About: Hi! I'm Krista and I genuinely love spending time with dogs and have lots of experience taking care of them. I recently said goodbye to my sweet and quirky 12‑year‑old German Shepherd. Caring for her throughout the years has given me experience with all the different stages from energetic pups to the oldies with mobility challenges and slower routines. My shepherd struggled with anxiety around other dogs, so I’m very familiar with reading body language, creating safe distance, and keeping walks calm and controlled. Throughout the years, I have cared for and spent ample time with doggos belonging to friends and family members and look forward to the opportunity to give others peace of mind when they need to leave their loved ones. Lots of walks, pets, play time and of course, photos/videos for owners! I work from home so there are lots of opportunities to go outside. There are a few parks nearby and lots of grassy areas. I also have dog beds, dishes and plenty of toys! Please note, my building unfortunately has restrictions on the following dog breeds: Akita, Alaskan Malamutes, Chow Chow, Doberman Pinscher, Malamute, Pit Bull Breeds, Presa Canarios, Rottweiler, Staffordshire Terrier and Wolf Dogs. I live in a condo building but there's lots of areas outside to venture around! I do own a crate if needed/preferred. I will bring your dog on many walks and ensure they have lots of play time (for the youngins) and rest (for the oldies) :)

About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients. In my personal time I am spending time with my 2 little girls teaching them how to play sports, and of course how to be loving pet owners. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! I’m currently working part time and will be available to walk most pets during early mornings hours during the week and mid day and evenings during the weekend. I definitely would like to know your pets temperament, and what might scare them. I know they will feel most comfortable at home but if they are with me, I’d like to keep a calm, pet friendly setting for them to be comfortable in.
