“Our son was getting married in upstate NY so we needed a sitter for our dog Kai while we were away. We have always left Kai with either family or friends, but since everyone we knew was attending the wedding I reached out to Laura. We set up a meet and greet -I knew from the first time I met her that she was a perfect match. She was warm and kind - obviously a dog lover - and she made a connection with our normally shy dog right away. She asked a lot of questions about Kai's habits - she wanted to make sure she followed his normal daily routine so that he would be comfortable in her home.. Her house is beautiful and she has a large, fenced in back yard that allowed Kai to run free in a safe environment. Laura took him for a 3 mile daily walk, and sent many pictures and updates the whole 6 days she had him. He became a part of her family❤️ I cannot say enough about how happy we were to have found her. She gave us peace of mind that Kai was well loved and cared for so we were able to enjoy the wedding without any worries. I would HIGHLY recommend Laura to anyone looking for a sitter!!”

About: I’ve had a dog since I was 6 years old, ranging in all different sizes. I find it imperative to treat all dogs as if they were my own. I’m currently a full-time fourth grade teacher who is looking for a part-time job during the week days, weekends and whenever I have a holiday break. Currently I am available for drop in visits or dog walking during the week anytime. I am also free for both of these services at anytime during certain weekends. “This was my first time using Rover.com. I had picked up my German shepherd, Evie, from a shelter in North Carolina last November. Based on her recorded condition when brought in as a stray 5 weeks before she had been through a rough period. She has fully recovered now and is in good health. My wife and I wanted to find someone to board her with where she would be happy when we're away. About: Having cared for 13 dogs and 4 cats (yes, we keep count), we've seen it all. Daily exercise and even bathing is quite familiar to us. Leo has hands-on experience with animal shelters, and I have biological based experience with both nutritional needs and animal anatomy, and we both can provide basic training. We currently have a year-old golden retriever and a tabby! We've dealt with a couple lovable (but difficult) pets and can deal with issues like stubbornness, biting, and basic potty training. Leo works from home, and I'm a commuter-basically, there's always someone home! We are both the "outdoorsy" type and frequent the devil's hop yard, as well as hike through our property. About: I’ve been around dogs all my life, but started caring for them on my own since I was 10 years old. As I got older, I was around cats more and more, and now I have a great love for both pets!! My experience includes walks, potty breaks, playtime, overnighting with pets, senior care, and caring for high energy dogs. I often work on the weekends and Wednesday nights, but like to stay busy during the week. Staying busy mostly means being active and running errands. I’ll also keep you updated so you know your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. On walks I always pay attention to my surroundings to keep your dog safe. I'm not there to pay attention to your beloved dog, not get distractes by my phone or anything else.
About: I have had a dog my whole life! Currently, I have a 3 year old male Bichon Frise and a 13 year old male American Eskimo. I’ve always loved spending time with dogs and will care for yours like my own. My work schedule is flexible so I can typically accommodate drop off anytime. I have a lot of availability for weekends but can potentially accommodate longer weekday + stays too. Your dog will be allowed on furniture in our home, we are a smoke free home, and we can provide care based on any of your special needs. Within the last year I have had the opportunity to help whelp two litters of Bernese Mountain Dog puppies and it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. About: I've taken care of aniamls since I was 3, I take of my friends and neighbors animals, to give feed them and walk them and bathe them. I don't work because I live on a small farm and take care of them and all my dogs and birds and cats and I can work with anyone's pets after school.
