“I had a family wedding to go to and wanted to find a safe and comfortable place to leave Winston, my young dorgi (half dachshund, half corgi) who had never been away from me since I was lucky enough to get him. Laura and her family turned out to be the perfect people and place. With a beautiful, safe home out in the country, a deck and fenced in yard where he could play, a open-plan house where he was visible at all times, Laura’s place was perfect. And the bonus: three little girls who adored him and lavished attention upon him, much to his delight. Laura, herself, was wonderful, caring, professional, delightful. She took him on long walks which he loved, texted me photos and updates on this progress during the stay, saw to his every need and even made some recommendations to me as to feeding bowls which might slow his eating down (he snarfs up his food in seconds!). I was afraid he wouldn’t want to come home. But I think he knows he can go back and stay in this home away from home which he will definitely be doing the next time I need to go away without him. I can’t tell you the peace of mind that all this brought me, knowing that he was happy and being well-cared-for and loved.”

About: I’ve had a dog since I was 6 years old, ranging in all different sizes. I find it imperative to treat all dogs as if they were my own. I’m currently a full-time fourth grade teacher who is looking for a part-time job during the week days, weekends and whenever I have a holiday break. Currently I am available for drop in visits or dog walking during the week anytime. I am also free for both of these services at anytime during certain weekends. I have a fenced backyard with two Labrador retriever. They are friendly and always makes me smile! I love taking them on walks, however they are still learning how to walk. “This was my first time using Rover.com. I had picked up my German shepherd, Evie, from a shelter in North Carolina last November. Based on her recorded condition when brought in as a stray 5 weeks before she had been through a rough period. She has fully recovered now and is in good health. My wife and I wanted to find someone to board her with where she would be happy when we're away. We identified a few possibilities at the Rover website and following a positive meet and greet with Nadjeska last week, had Evie spend the day with her yesterday. It went very well. Nadjeska sent us several texts with photos during the day updating us on Evie's stay. I attend obedience classes with my own dogs weekly, and will be attending handling classes soon as well. Nothing brightens my day like being greeted by a dog, and getting to take care of them. We currently have three dogs and three cats in our home. Nothing is more important to me than your animal's comfort and safety.

About: I grew up with dogs and cats my whole life typically at least 2 dogs and 2 cats at one time. I am a natural animal lover and caretaker. I trained corgis for almost 10 years.
