“Our son was getting married in upstate NY so we needed a sitter for our dog Kai while we were away. We have always left Kai with either family or friends, but since everyone we knew was attending the wedding I reached out to Laura. We set up a meet and greet -I knew from the first time I met her that she was a perfect match. She was warm and kind - obviously a dog lover - and she made a connection with our normally shy dog right away. She asked a lot of questions about Kai's habits - she wanted to make sure she followed his normal daily routine so that he would be comfortable in her home.. Her house is beautiful and she has a large, fenced in back yard that allowed Kai to run free in a safe environment. Laura took him for a 3 mile daily walk, and sent many pictures and updates the whole 6 days she had him. He became a part of her family❤️ I cannot say enough about how happy we were to have found her. She gave us peace of mind that Kai was well loved and cared for so we were able to enjoy the wedding without any worries. I would HIGHLY recommend Laura to anyone looking for a sitter!!”

About: I’ve had a dog since I was 6 years old, ranging in all different sizes. I find it imperative to treat all dogs as if they were my own. I’m currently a full-time fourth grade teacher who is looking for a part-time job during the week days, weekends and whenever I have a holiday break. Currently I am available for drop in visits or dog walking during the week anytime. I am also free for both of these services at anytime during certain weekends. I have a fenced backyard with two Labrador retriever. They are friendly and always makes me smile! I love taking them on walks, however they are still learning how to walk. “This was my first time using Rover.com. I had picked up my German shepherd, Evie, from a shelter in North Carolina last November. Based on her recorded condition when brought in as a stray 5 weeks before she had been through a rough period. She has fully recovered now and is in good health. My wife and I wanted to find someone to board her with where she would be happy when we're away. We identified a few possibilities at the Rover website and following a positive meet and greet with Nadjeska last week, had Evie spend the day with her yesterday. It went very well. Nadjeska sent us several texts with photos during the day updating us on Evie's stay. We were looking for a home where Evie could spend time with and play with other dogs and Evie made a new friend, Sparkles, Najeska's little dog. Nadjeska has a fenced yard which provides a safe place for them to run around in the fresh air. About: I have extensive experience caring for dogs, including my previous dog, an 80-pound Golden Retriever. She could be reactive toward other dogs while on leash, so I became very comfortable handling strong dogs, staying calm in challenging situations, and maintaining control even when she was pulling. In addition to caring for my previous dog, I have regularly looked after neighbors’ and friends’ dogs by walking, feeding, and ensuring they were well cared for while their owners were away. In my personal life I love going on long runs up to 6 miles so if you have a higher energy dog that would like to join me I would love to take them with me! I am currently a university student, and I have off of school until the spring semester begins in February. I am free most weekends, and weekdays Monday-Friday. I am comfortable your dog or dogs in any environment. I have taken care of dogs that used special harness’ or prong collars so I know how to work those if needed. I love to run and hike so I can also bring your dog along if they are extra energetic!

I attend obedience classes with my own dogs weekly, and will be attending handling classes soon as well. Nothing brightens my day like being greeted by a dog, and getting to take care of them. We currently have three dogs and three cats in our home. Nothing is more important to me than your animal's comfort and safety.

About: I've taken care of aniamls since I was 3, I take of my friends and neighbors animals, to give feed them and walk them and bathe them. I don't work because I live on a small farm and take care of them and all my dogs and birds and cats and I can work with anyone's pets after school. About: To be honest, when I was a child I had a deadly fear of dogs. That was until my mother forced me to go to exposure therapy (yes she made me go to a club where they sat you with over ten dogs. Here, I fostered a love for them, and learned a lot about them. They need activity and they also need rest. They need a lot of attention but they reciprocate with fierce loyalty and unwavering love.
