About: I grew up with dogs and cats, and for the last 6.5 years, I’ve had the pleasure of raising my own fur child, Melli Rose. I firmly believe pets are royalty and deserve to be treated as such. As a current dog owner to my energetic 1½-year-old dog, I have hands-on experience with daily walks, exercise, training reinforcement, feeding schedules, and providing lots of love and attention. Growing up with dogs taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and creating a safe, comfortable environment where pets can thrive. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. In addition to my experience with dogs, I have spent years caring for animals through my equestrian background, which has helped me develop strong animal-handling skills, attention to detail, and a calm, responsible approach to animal care. I have spent the last 5 years riding and training horses professionally am really passionate about all things animals ! Whether your dog needs a walk, drop-in visit, or companionship while you’re away, I’ll make sure they receive attentive care, plenty of affection, and regular updates so you can feel confident they’re in good hands. 🐾 I work as a professional rider and spend much of my day caring for and working with horses, which has given me extensive experience handling animals and maintaining consistent care routines. I have experience with cats, dogs, horses, and chickens. Yo hablo español (et un peux de français!) About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, and chickens for over 10 years. I started by taking care of a friend’s Bernese mountain dog when I was 18, and it’s taken off since then. Over the course of 11 years, I’ve predominantly cared for larger dogs (Bernese, Greyhounds, and New Foundlands). What sets me apart from other sitters is that I treat the home like my own space and leave it just the same as when I arrived. I’m currently unemployed after being laid off. Right now I’m able to be in your home all day and night while caring for your pets. When I’m back to working full-time, I arrange with the owner for a neighbor etc to visit during the day while I’m at work. I typically care for pets in the client’s home because the pet is more comfortable in their typical environment. I ask ahead of time what the pet’s schedule is so I’m familiar with their routine.

“Heather is the absolute best dog walker we have ever had. She goes above and beyond on each visit, always staying longer than she needs to to make sure our dog is happy and taken care of. We trust her completely. She will even bring her own toys to help exercise our very active beagle. She sends adorable pictures and notes with each visit. Recently, she went back to our house after her scheduled visit to open windows because she was concerned the fumes from some floor staining would affect our animals! She is very attentive and responds quickly to any questions or concerns we have. Her schedule is very flexible and accommodates whatever we need. You can tell she truly cares for all animals. We love Heather and recommend her without any reservation!!”

“We boarded our dog, Guinness, with Heather and Norman for two days, and they were absolutely wonderful! Heather and Norman were sweet and took excellent care of Guinness. They took him for walks and even sent us photos. It was clear that Guinness and their dog, Zeus, got along so well and had a great time playing together. Now that he's home, Guinness seems sad and misses Zeus. We will definitely use Heather and Norman's services again. Highly recommended!”

“I unconditionally and without reservation recommend Tyler for dog boarding. Tyler was excellent with my 7-yrs old female Australian Cobberdog, Abby (AND with her nervous parent, me). Abby has not ever been boarded prior to this 14-days boarding. Abby is quite shy when first meeting people. A week prior to the boarding, I visited Tyler in the front yard of his house and after Abby checked him out, she was wagging her tail, licking his hand and then snuggled up against him inviting him to pet her. During the 2-weeks boarding, Tyler was attentive to Abby's needs for reassurance which helped her to adjust to his house, his girlfriend, and their two dogs. Abby found a place for herself on his kitchen breakfast booth seat. Tyler gave Abby her required daily medication, fluoxetine. Tyler reported Abby's status daily with a picture. He used treats appropriately. Tyler even cooked Abby plain chicken at the beginning of the 2-wks boarding to help her to eat. In sum, Tyler has a lot of knowledge about dogs- training, exercise, diet, and boarding. I will be comfortable to leave Abby with him again, as soon as late October for another 2 weeks when I'm off to New Zealand for a biking tour.”

“Careen was wonderful with our senior dog and he loved her just as much as she loved him! She gave him lots of love and attention- I could tell he was very well cared for while we were away. We got lots of pictures and updates so I was completely at ease. We can’t wait to have Careen watch Shadow again!”

“Noel and his family did a fantastic job with our puppy! They are well equipped and their our boy had a blast in their yard! Noel was amazing with sending updates and pictures. I would highly recommend!”

“From the first contact, I loved James' response. He first asked about meeting Neo to see if he would be a good match for his family, which gave me peace. He kept in contact by sending us pics and updates during our time away. No regrets! 🙏🏻”
