“Overall, I would rate Lindsay as a good pet-sitter. Prior to our vacation, she was very timely in responding to my messages and she also modified the Rover.com charges to a very reasonable rate for her visits with our 2 cats. It was while we were gone that I felt she fell short. My first issue was with her inconsistency in providing updates on the visits - there was a photo and thorough recap on the 1st day, but on subsequent days there was less detail and on one day there was no update at all. My second issue was with the timing of her visits. I had made it very clear that it was important to check in during the early afternoon, but at least twice she didn't visit until the evening. My third issue was with attention to detail - I had left very specific notes about the cats' food/water/litter and it didn't seem that she had followed them. Lastly, my greatest concern was with the well-being of our female cat and her being bullied by the male cat in our absence. We came back to find that she had a facial injury and had urinated in a chair out of fear. All-in-all our pets were reasonably cared for, but I was definitely disappointed. Lindsay is a very nice girl and I'm sure she had the best intentions. I think the issues may have been due to lack of experience or perhaps I wasn't clear enough on stressing the importance of certain things. (To those reading this review, please note that I have very high expectations for the care of my pets and I think Lindsay is absolutely capable of meeting the needs of a less demanding client.)”

About: I’ve taken care of pets, dogs of all sizes, cats. I’ve given medicine orally, and insulin shots. I have sat for pets for several years for family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. I love spending time with all animals between long walks, hiking, and just hanging out on the couch. I work full time but I telework several times per week. Weekends completely available. When I’m at the office my partner is home 24/7 so the pets will never be alone! I have a lead going from the back deck to the shed (across my whole yard) I have two very friendly dogs and cats. I can crate if needed & there is space available if your dog needs to decompress alone without other animals. I slowly introduce animals to make sure everyone coexists well. All dogs are fed separately to avoid any food aggression. We have an over sized, fully gated and covered back deck that the dogs can also hangout on with us safely.

About: Hi paw friends 🐾 I am somewhat new to Rover but I have grown up with dogs my entire life. I have always helped my family and friends care for their animals and I always enjoyed doing it. My husband and I got married four years ago and our little girl is three. It's so amazing to see her interact with the dogs because she gets more comfortable and happier each time. My husband and daughter are my best pet helpers when I am not around. Our family loves dogs and we will eventually get a dog when the time is right, but I love Rover because it’s give me the opportunity to still bond with pups. I truly love being around animals. About: I’ve always had pets growing up. Over the past 20 years I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, cats, rabbits, turtles, snakes, and hamsters. I love animals more than most humans. My sister is also a vet which is super handy to have. I currently work from home so I can be present and then I have down time I can play and tend to my furry house guest. I have a room for my dogs with a very bring crate, beds and toys. When I have furry guests I can always alternate my dogs in the room or the furry guest into that room. They could also wonder around the apartment as well. My building complex also has a dog park which is nice to run around and play.

About: I grew up with as many as 5 cats and two dogs at a time. I am familiar with caring for most pets including rodents and fish. I work from home so taking a break to walk or feed pets is not an issue. There is even some extra time to give them some attention too! My dog has free roaming permission in the backyard and we also have a cage for large dogs available. For visiting dogs we walk them on a leash since they are not familiar with the area.

I have a big yard for dogs to enjoy, but my indoor space is smaller, so I am very intentional about keeping the number of dogs low. This is a great fit for dogs who do better with a quieter setting and for owners who value quality of care over high-volume boarding or daycare. I generally only take one to a few dogs at a time unless they are from the same household. I have a lot of experience with senior dogs. I took care of my childhood dog for 17 years of her long, beautiful life. I have experience working with small senior dogs specifically and I know all the little things that they appreciate. I also have experience with large dogs and can handle very big strong dogs. I also love hiking with dogs so if you have an energetic dog you need to burn off energy I am your guy. I have an acre yard with a fenced in front yard in a nice area. Any dog that boards with me would be treated like my own dog and let out very frequently to go to the bathroom and play outside. About: I've always loved and respected animals and I've always had pets. My mom always told me I needed to have a farm when I grew up because I would bring home all sorts of animals. Currently I have a pup named Shiloh. She is a border collie mix that I rescued. We love to go on walks, hikes and car rides. About: Hi! My name is Jess, I'm offering cat/dog/house sitting services in the Hartford area. I'm just as obsessed with your pets as you are. I understand that every pet is different and embrace their different personalities! I have previously worked in pet stores, I've been petsitting for years, and have had animals all my life, so I have TONS of experience with all types of species and breeds. I also have 3 bunnies!
