“Maizie's stay with Claudia represented one of the first times we've ever left her for an extended time, and it sounds like she experienced some initial separation anxiety. However, my sense is that Claudia knew well how to deal with that, and Maizie did, indeed, adjust to her surroundings rather quickly after a day or so. While we were gone, Claudia often sent us photos and updates so we'd know Maizie was doing well, and she even indicated on the day before our return that Maizie was looking forward to seeing us (which I certainly hoped would be the case, but didn't really know would be so true until I arrived to pick her up!) Bottom line is that I would heartily endorse Claudia and happily use her services again when we need to leave town for our next vacation.”

The visiting dogs are not confined and are free to mingle and find their own place to relax. There are ample dog beds, couches, human beds and floor space for lounging and sleeping. I especially appreciate that Ryan limits the number of dogs he boards at one time to a very small group, & makes sure they vibe well together beforehand. The living space Ryan and his boarders occupy is all on one level, which is great for my dog with arthritis. There is a wooded trail for walks adjoining the yard, and a guest bedroom if a dog needs some quiet alone time. I would HIGHLY recommend Ryan and I plan to use him again!”

About: I do love dogs but. I am a cat person. I travel for work so I haven't gotten another since my last three years ago. My best friend told me she still can't believe I haven't because "Jill" and "cats" are like "peanut butter and jelly" in her head. I got my last two cats, a brother and sister, as kittens in high school and loved them so hard for 12 and 15 years. Max had three urinary blockages and after the last, he just couldn't bounce back. And Jinx had kidney disease that progressed to failure. So I have some experience with prescription food and medications as well as giving subcutaneous fluids. Definitely wasn't my favorite but I would have done anything for my kitties and would do the same for another's.

About: I currently own two dogs a mini Australian Shepard and a cocker spaniel. But, my family is a huge dog loving family and I have also owned labs, retrievers, and collies. I have a fenced backyard with a doggy door that holds about an acre of land and I live on a very quiet road with hiking trails across from my house that I bring my dogs into all the time! I’m work 3 times a week at Ridgewood Country Club in Danbury. I can leave during my breaks to tend to your pets. If they are staying at my home I have a doggy door and fenced in backyard. And then the remainder of the week I am free! I have a doggy door inside my home with a fenced in backyard for the 3 days I can’t be at home all day long. All other days I would love to take the dogs hiking and make sure they have a great time! I do own two dogs that are very friendly. Our house is set back from the road on 100+ acres of conservation land where we can hike and explore with your dog. Our house is roomy and comfortable, and we strive to provide whatever your dog needs. We also value enrichment for pets - we hope your dog will learn, grow, and be stimulated while with us. We also live right next door to my father, who is a veterinarian and available for any questions we might have. We have a new addition to our family and welcomed in a baby boy in June 2025. Since then, we are accepting new clients with smaller dogs and sometimes larger dogs if they are older or laid back. We do have a soft spot for our older guests and love to keep them comfortable and pampered. We live in a one story house, so there are minimal steps. We try to mimic your own schedule at home. And one of us is home every day so we're able to provide the best care possible. We have a small fenced in area outside our front door, mostly for safety in coming in and out of the house. Outside of that area, I leash walk your dogs (until we have a larger fenced in area). We have gates inside to give dogs their own space if/when they want it. If you pet is more comfortable in a crate during bedtimes or short times alone, we can provide that as well. We are diligent regarding medication, feeding instructions, and medical concerns. About: I have always had a dog, cat or parrot in my life. My experience is not only with my own pets but with family, friends and neighbors' beloved ones as well. I trained parrots in NYC for many years and have years of experience training dogs. I am available most weekdays and weekends as needed. My schedule is very flexible and can't imagine a better way to spend my time than taking care of your beloved pet. I love animals more than anything. So much so that I am a vegetarian out of respect for all living beings. I will walk, pet, play with any animal large or small and am very compassionate and intuitive to the needs of dogs, cats, and parrots.

About: Growing up, I had a Lab and then a Boxer and two cats. I've also helped my aunt at the doggie daycare she runs out of her home where she often has more than 10 dogs at a time. Everything from a Great Pyrenees to German Shepherds to Doodles to Yorkies. And it's always so much fun! The care I'll give your pets will really depend on them and their needs. There's a very large unfenced grass area behind my apartment building that would be perfect for walks or play. And there are multiple parks in the area too we could explore. About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since we had a dog in elementary school. We adopted her from Arkansas and I love raising her for 17 years and taking her on walks to the dog park. My friends and family who had dogs always asked me to watch their animals when they were away or needed me to take their dog out for a walk. About: I'm currently volunteering at Whiskers Cat Rescue cleaning cages and socializing cats. I am comfortable administering medications to cats. I have owned a small dog in the past. My current cats are a wobbly boy with Cerebellar Hypoplasia and a super senior (21yrs!) old lady cat. My schedule is really flexible right now. I'm not free a few times through the week and weekend but for no longer than a few hours. I'm very patient with animals, especially more skittish ones. You need to work with them even if it takes time to develop a relationship or trust.
About: I've had cats my entire life & I have a few years experience pet sitting for and walking dogs and would love for it to become a regular part of my life again. She took them to the dog park in the morning for a couple of hours, helped continue our invisibile fence training, and sent us so many pics and updates throughout the weekend. However, my sense is that Claudia knew well how to deal with that, and Maizie did, indeed, adjust to her surroundings rather quickly after a day or so. While we were gone, Claudia often sent us photos and updates so we'd know Maizie was doing well, and she even indicated on the day before our return that Maizie was looking forward to seeing us (which I certainly hoped would be the case, but didn't really know would be so true until I arrived to pick her up!) Bottom line is that I would heartily endorse Claudia and happily use her services again when we need to leave town for our next vacation.”

“Ryan EXCEEDED my expectations! He has an intuitive way with dogs. He is very knowledgable about dogs & dog behavior. Ryan is the real deal-- a true animal lover & kind, decent human being. He communicated well with pics and updates during my dog's visit. During our initial meeting I felt an instant rapport he had with my dog that put me at ease. His home is VERY dog-centric! The visiting dogs are not confined and are free to mingle and find their own place to relax. There are ample dog beds, couches, human beds and floor space for lounging and sleeping. I especially appreciate that Ryan limits the number of dogs he boards at one time to a very small group, & makes sure they vibe well together beforehand. The living space Ryan and his boarders occupy is all on one level, which is great for my dog with arthritis. There is a wooded trail for walks adjoining the yard, and a guest bedroom if a dog needs some quiet alone time. I would HIGHLY recommend Ryan and I plan to use him again!”
