Communication was easy and consistent, and we felt completely comfortable knowing our pup was in good hands. Sampson is pretty easygoing, but it was clear he was treated with attention and kindness. We will definitely book with them again.”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs, cats, rabbits, birds and amphibians, so I’m comfortable with animals of all kinds. I’ve also been volunteering at an animal shelter for 1 year, so I know how to read animal behavior and handle the unexpected. I’ll make sure your pets feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I work full time Monday through Friday, so my availability is after 5pm on weekdays and Saturday mornings and afternoons for walks and drop-in pet care. I follow your pet's routine to a T and send regular photo and video updates so you're never out of the loop. If I notice any changes in behavior I'll let you know right away. I'll leave your home exactly as I found it, follow any house rules you set, and always make sure gates and doors are secured so no one makes a sneaky escape.

“Emily is sweet and loving. She clearly loves animals and our two pups love her. Emily is dependable and prompt and quickly responds. We are planning to have her back on regular schedule.”

“Sam was absolutely wonderful while watching my cat, Leo. She came by both in the morning and at night to feed him, play with him, and clean his litter box. She even helped me with a small favor around the house, which I really appreciated. She was great—reliable, caring, and attentive. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sit”

“Olivia looked after our cat Sadie with drop-in visits while we were out of town for a week. Sadie is quite old, needed a couple different medications, and also has some issues with using the litter box. Olivia was very gracious about it all and took great care of Sadie while giving her lots of love and sending regular photos. It is always hard to leave our cat at home but a Olivia gave us peace of mind and I know Sadie appreciated the visits too!”
“Sophia is amazing! This was a last minute request, and not only was she able to take care of our pups, but she was over and above what I asked! She is also so flexible and a very good communicator. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our babies!”

About: Our family has had cats for years, and we have fostered many, many more. I have a deep love and understanding of cats, and know that they are commonly mislabeled as mean or aggressive. I understand cat behaviors and would not be intimidated by some hissing or growling - as long as they don't attack on sight, we'll be good!

About: I do love dogs but. I am a cat person. I travel for work so I haven't gotten another since my last three years ago. My best friend told me she still can't believe I haven't because "Jill" and "cats" are like "peanut butter and jelly" in her head. I got my last two cats, a brother and sister, as kittens in high school and loved them so hard for 12 and 15 years. Max had three urinary blockages and after the last, he just couldn't bounce back. And Jinx had kidney disease that progressed to failure. So I have some experience with prescription food and medications as well as giving subcutaneous fluids. Definitely wasn't my favorite but I would have done anything for my kitties and would do the same for another's.

About: I've had cats and kittens growing up as a child. And a lot of years I've had a cat named Luna I adopted and had her for 12 years, and another cat I fostered and fell in love with and I kept her. Cats are beautiful,b lovable and just as much fun as dogs. They too become your family. My plenty of experience taking care of cats. gi giving them love, and attention, and cuddling with them on your couch.

About: I have had cats my entire life and have cared for my friends cats as well. I have given my cats medicine before, I am good at cleaning the litter box and I give good pets.
“Michelle was absolutely a perfect match for pet sitting my cats. She sent me pictures and a video and took terrific care of them...one of my cats is 19 years old and needed some special care and loving. I would highly recommend her!!! Thanks, Michelle!”

About: I've had cats my entire life and I always plan to. One of the best parts of my daily life is coming home to, waking up to and going to sleep with them. I'm accustomed to all different personalities, being as I have two opposites at home right now (one sweet and loving, and one who shows love in a different slightly more painful way). You can trust in me to love your cats as my own and cater to all their needs!

About: I've owned and cared for 9 dogs throughout my life, ranging from tiny Maltese and other small breeds to large Saint Bernard's. Every dog I've had has been treated like family, and I bring that same level of love, patience, and care to every pet I look after. Whether it's playtime, walks, feeding, or cuddles, I'll care for your pet as if they were my own. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, playtime, and supervision throughout the day. I have a pup of my own, and we stay active with daily walks, outdoor time, and enrichment activities. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in or regular walks, I can adjust my schedule to meet their needs and keep them comfortable, happy, and well cared for. How I care for your pet depends entirely on how you'd like me to support them and what makes them most comfortable. In my home, pets are treated like family and receive lots of attention, exercise, and affection. While I do not have a fenced-in yard, all outdoor time is supervised, and dogs will be leash-walked unless they have a proven, reliable recall. I am also happy to follow your pet's existing routines, feeding schedules, training preferences, and any special care instructions in either my home or yours.

“Valerie was very warm and welcoming when I brought my dogs over to meet her. This was our first time using Rover.com and leaving our 2 dogs (9 yr female & 5 month male) with a sitter. I was concerned about my female, she is a rescue with some separation anxiety. Valerie was very understanding and felt staying in a home environment instead of a kennel would make a big difference. When picking up, both dogs were very comfortable and at ease in Valerie's home. We will definitely be back.”

“Highly recommend! My baby was well taken care of! Tinaclem was super friendly. When we arrived she introduced her dog with mine and brought them both to the back yard so she can get familiar with the yard and was very welcoming! Many walks and lots of pics for updates! ❤️My baby was pooped for days! She already misses Elvis! Sweet dog she has!”

About: I've been working at an animal hospital for 20+ years and have been managing the grooming and boarding facility there for 15+ years. I have worked with cats and all ages, temperaments, and breeds of dogs. Besides the professional experience, I have always loved animals, lived with family dogs and cats my entire life, and am well suited for caring for your pets, too! My husband has been a dog dad for 15+ years (and a bird dad as well) and has over a decade of professional experience with dogs in the boarding and grooming section of an animal hospital. Between the two of us, at least one of us is home every day - we would love to provide a home away from home for your pet! Our goal is to provide the most compassionate, safe, and responsible care for your pet. Our house is set back from the road on 100+ acres of conservation land where we can hike and explore with your dog. Our house is roomy and comfortable, and we strive to provide whatever your dog needs. We also value enrichment for pets - we hope your dog will learn, grow, and be stimulated while with us. We also live right next door to my father, who is a veterinarian and available for any questions we might have. We have a new addition to our family and welcomed in a baby boy in June 2025. Since then, we are accepting new clients with smaller dogs and sometimes larger dogs if they are older or laid back. We do have a soft spot for our older guests and love to keep them comfortable and pampered. We live in a one story house, so there are minimal steps. We try to mimic your own schedule at home. And one of us is home every day so we're able to provide the best care possible. We have a small fenced in area outside our front door, mostly for safety in coming in and out of the house. Outside of that area, I leash walk your dogs (until we have a larger fenced in area). We have gates inside to give dogs their own space if/when they want it. If you pet is more comfortable in a crate during bedtimes or short times alone, we can provide that as well. We are diligent regarding medication, feeding instructions, and medical concerns. We also will keep you up to date on how the stay is going and welcome you to reach out anytime.
About: I’ve had dogs since I can remember! Currently an owner of a frenchie and yellow lab! Always been a dog lover and would love to spend time with your pups too! I’m currently in part time online schooling for my masters in social work so scheduling is not an issue for me! Have a pretty available schedule during the week! I am looking to do dog walks and many play dates! Always open to bringing my friendly frenchie doggo along for extra fun if allowed!
About: Dogs thrive on calm structure and that’s exactly what I provide. I create a controlled, low stress environment where dogs are calm, well managed, and set up for success. I’m a sitter with formal training in dog behavior, and I’m currently continuing my education through an accredited, science based training program. My approach goes beyond basic pet sitting, I focus on structure, clear boundaries, and reading behavior to prevent issues before they start. I specialize in dogs that need structure and guidance, whether that’s anxious dogs, easily overstimulated dogs, or dogs adjusting to a new environment. My focus is helping dogs stay calm, regulated, and comfortable, not just physically tired. Every dog is handled intentionally and with clear structure, not as part of a chaotic group setting. Pet care is my full-time work, so your dog’s routine becomes part of my routine. Meals, walks, rest, enrichment, and any training cues you already use are followed as consistently as possible. I keep things structured and predictable so dogs, especially anxious, reactive, or easily overstimulated ones, can settle in and feel secure. My home is structured, supervised, and calm, not a chaotic group setup or a free for all. Dogs are introduced thoughtfully, given clear boundaries, and supported with a predictable routine so they feel safe and secure. I tailor the environment to each dog, including decompression time, quiet space, and supervised social time only when appropriate. My focus is always on behavior, safety, and preventing overstimulation or unsafe situations. My approach is best suited for dogs who can follow structure and benefit from a calm, well-managed environment. I am not a good fit for dogs that rely on constant high energy group play or a completely unstructured routine.
“Nicole is not only knowledgeable but you can feel how she loves taking care of animals! I appreciate so much the care she has provided and will using her again! Thank you 🙏🏻”

About: Our family loves our pets, and I'll love yours too while you are away. My husband and I adopted our first black Lab in 2001, when she was eight years old. She was our first baby. Since that time, in addition to raising our human family, we have added many furry, finned, and feathered members to our home. While my ten-year-old Havanese is my "Best Boy;" I am "House Mom" to the other pets in our family. I love the time in the day I spend with my pets and look forward to spreading that love to other animals as I have more free time now that my kids are growing up. Having my own pets, I know it is hard to leave town. It's essential to find someone who is responsible, thoughtful, honest, and gentle to watch over them. I look forward to meeting with you and your pets to help alleviate your concerns. I am a stay-at-home parent, to older children, so my schedule is very flexible. I look forward to working with you to create a schedule that supports everyone! I believe in the Golden Rule. I will care for your pet(s) just as I would expect someone to care for mine. Before scheduling our first pet sitting appointment, I would like to meet with you and your pet in order to understand your pets' schedules and needs. If I am visiting your pets at your home, is there anything small I can help you with? Maybe you want your trash bins brought in, or your mail picked up?

About: Hi! My name is Haley and I am 26 years old. I grew up in New Milford, CT and moved to NC for school. I just recently moved back to New Milford after completing my Master’s at UNCW. North Carolina was where I joined Rover and fell in love with the opportunity to help the local area with pet care! I love all animals! I have an 8 year old boxer mix named Koby and a 5 year old golden retriever named Miloh. We spend our days at the beach, park, eating treats, playing tug of war, speaking the doggy language, and cuddling of course! I have grown up around pets my entire life and could not imagine a life without them. I will follow your daily routine the closest I can and apply the discipline you enforce with your dog on a daily basis. I will make sure the experience your dog has is fun, targeted to their specific needs, and give your dog the love and affection you would to make them as comfortable as possible. My goal is to make your dog feel loved and make sure they are happy the entire time they spend with me. I love all dogs, big or small, and enjoy creating relationships with them. I would love to meet your furry best friend and if they are good with other dogs, I would love to bring my little fur babies around for some good fun and exercise. Whatever you need I am there and willing to work around not only the needs of your pet but you as well! I currently am working full time at my home. I have a flexible work schedule and would be able to step out multiple times a day to take care of your pet! I will follow whatever routine you feel is best for your pet / pets while you are away! I have been doing this a long time and have seen it all when it comes to the preferences people have on the care of their pets. No request is too much when it comes to our pets! I currently work from home and have plenty of free time on my hands. I am very flexible and open to helping however I can! I have grown up around pets and have had both of my dogs since they were puppies. They have been up and down the east coast with me during every trip home, move, etc. They are my best friends. Currently, I work as a Kennel Technician at a pet daycare, where I care for both dogs and cats on a daily basis. When caring for pets in their own home, I strongly believe in the importance of routines and consistency. I always follow specific instructions to ensure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

About: I'm currently volunteering at Whiskers Cat Rescue cleaning cages and socializing cats. I am comfortable administering medications to cats. I have owned a small dog in the past. My current cats are a wobbly boy with Cerebellar Hypoplasia and a super senior (21yrs!) old lady cat. My schedule is really flexible right now. About: I have been an animal lover my whole life! Sometimes I feel like they get me more than humans! I had a bunny and two cats growing up and also cared for my brother’s pig. I currently have a beautiful puggle named Lulu who I absolutely adore. I am a morning person and live an active life so long walks are my speciality. Also always down to play and snuggle. My lulu has some special needs of her own being paralyzed in her back legs, so I am capable of caring for pets in all conditions. I work part time and have a flexible daily routine so I tend to have free time available for time with the sweet fur babies. I have a spacious and clean home right across the street from a beautiful park so I am capable of providing a fun and safe space for your pet right at home.
About: Growing up, I had a Lab and then a Boxer and two cats. I've also helped my aunt at the doggie daycare she runs out of her home where she often has more than 10 dogs at a time. Everything from a Great Pyrenees to German Shepherds to Doodles to Yorkies. And it's always so much fun! The care I'll give your pets will really depend on them and their needs. There's a very large unfenced grass area behind my apartment building that would be perfect for walks or play. And there are multiple parks in the area too we could explore. At yours, I'd keep whatever their normal routine is. Whether that's taking walks, throwing the ball or just sitting and chilling and scratching butts. Their butts of course! I understand how to work with all different temperaments and would love to do meet and greets to make sure it's a good fit!
About: I have always had a deep love and respect for animals, particularly our furry companions. Growing up, I cared for a variety of pets, which helped shape my lifelong passion for animal care. Currently, I work as a Kennel Technician at a pet daycare, where I care for both dogs and cats on a daily basis. I am also certified in pet first aid and CPR, ensuring I am prepared to respond to emergency situations with confidence and care. I am currently employed at a doggie daycare, with a rotating weekly schedule. My shifts typically fall between either 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 12:00 PM–7:30 PM. Please feel free to reach out in advance, and I’ll be happy to provide my availability! I share my home with one dog and three cats, and since I live in an apartment without a fenced yard, I take my dog on multiple leashed walks each day. If your dog were to stay with us, they would enjoy regular walks in our grassy areas, as well as access to nearby walking trails just a short distance away. When caring for pets in their own home, I strongly believe in the importance of routines and consistency. I always follow specific instructions to ensure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

“Saori took wonderful care of our Gus during his week long Thanksgiving stay. He enjoyed his long trips to the dog park and all the cuddles and care he receives throughout the week!”

“We had a great experience with Kate! Our dog, Sampson, stayed in her home and was very well cared for. Communication was easy and consistent, and we felt completely comfortable knowing our pup was in good hands. Sampson is pretty easygoing, but it was clear he was treated with attention and kindness. We will definitely book with them again.”

“Second time my Callie was cared for by Bruce and it was another wonderful experience. By the pictures and communication from Bruce I could tell Callie was well cared for and happy. Thank you again Bruce for taking such exceptional care of Callie. I highly recommend Bruce.”
“Was nervous at first to leave him overnight with someone for an entire week but as Yajaira reassured, my boy was in good hands. Everything went smoothly & loved that she kept me updated with photos that showed he was enjoying his vacation as well. Defiantly would recommend & will sure be booking again when needed!”

“Erika was wonderful! Highly recommend (and will to my friends as well). She was extremely responsive in preparation for our trip, and understanding of some special needs for our yellow lab. She sent pictures throughout, and was flexible when a winter storm messed with our plans (she stayed up late so that we could pick up our pooch). Thanks for taking such great care of our dog, and for being such a pleasure throughout this process, Erika!”

“This is my second time having my fur baby with Sue. It was a much longer visit this time (a week) amd Sue remained her kind communicative self. Would recommend in a heartbeat. She goes above and beyond. Thank you! 💕”

“Ryan went above and beyond was expected. I got update pics and even a call just letting me know my pup was doing great. Maverick received dinner and breakfast exactly as instructed. He even got to visit the dog park (and yes I was ask before of that would be okay to do). Would highly recommend.”
“Jessica was great at watching Gwen! She was able to accommodate our last-minute request after another sitter cancelled. She was very communicative about Gwen’s stay and sent plenty of photos and updates. She took great care of our little pup!”

“I've used Veronica at least a couple times at this point and she has been nothing less thank fantastic. She has been fantastic at communication, great at scheduling room, and took amazing care of my Mika! Definitely bwill contact her again and I would encourage anyone to do the same.”

“Rachael is the best dogsitter ever! She always seems to have a house full of dogs (some her own, some sittees), and my dog has a wonderful time and even comes home a little more trained! I cannot recommend her enough -- she is warm and kind and clearly just loves dogs.”

“It was my first time leaving my baby blue…. and it was a great experience!! Rich communicated and kept me updated on how blue was doing! I was glad to find someone who is reliable and experienced. I recommend Rich hands down.”

“Kathryn is probably the best Rover sitter we’ve had (and we’ve used some lovely sitters). Our dogs are anxious when they’re left, and Kathryn really helped them feel at ease - her fenced yard was perfect and they just seemed to trust her. I’d highly recommend booking your pet’s stay with her!”

“Dew dog sat my dog for 3 days and 2 nights. I am very happy with his stay. He was individually cared for, even though there were other dogs there. Dew sent emails and pictures daily. I would definitely use her again to watch my dog. Thank you Dew 🦋”

“First thing- Meghan was great! Finn states with her fior 4 nights and I couldn’t have asked for more out of a sitter. She communicated well with us during his stay and is overall a very kind, responsible sitter. I will (and I’m sure Finn) be looking forward to booking with her in the future!”
“Annmarie was amazing ! She kept me updated everyday with pictures and helped my little girl get comfortable quick. She was quick with communication and is very well educated in anything regarding dogs. I will be using her again in the future !”

“Jen was absolutely magnificent as ever. Our Stella clearly had a great time and was very well taken care of. We received pictures of a very happy dog each and every day while we were gone! We will most certainly book again whenever we can - Jen is a truly 1st class sitter!”

“Valerie and her family are amazing hosts and extra loving caretakers. Jameson has his second extended stay with Valerie and he had a wonderful time. I take comfort in knowing he loves staying with Valerie, her children, and sweet Shakespeare when we are on vacation. They truly treat him like their own and he clearly loves them all. We will be back :)”
