“Mikayla and Justin were incredible! They took such great care of my GSP Goose and sent very detailed and organized updates on how he was doing and made sure to get him an ample amount of exercise everyday. He looked so happy! Also they were extremely understanding and flexible when I had to pick him up a little late due to my return flight getting delayed. Will definitely be using them again!”

“Christopher was very accommodating and flexible. He went out of his way to pick up Cameo at a more ideal timing prior to my departure for my work trip. He sent daily updates and pictures of Cameo playing and answered any questions that I had. Cameo got lots of play time and came home happy and exhausted :)”

“Brianna is INCREDIBLY capable, and our dogs love her. One of our dogs is very elderly and on medication, and she is clearly well taken care of when she stays with Brianna. Our other dog is a high-need English Springer Spaniel that I honestly can’t imagine anyone other than Brianna managing his care. He has medical issues and anxiety, and Brianna has been able to manage both in a way that can only be described as masterful.”

“Mr Bruce is the best, my big fur baby always seems to have a wonderful time there. He comes back so relaxed and well taken care of. Mr Bruce provides great updates every step if the day along with photos. He communicate very well with me and I feel at ease knowing what is going on with my dog! Don't hesitate to book with him, He is the best!”

“Andrea was super nice and managed to accomodate our last-minute Christmas booking. She kept us updated with lots of photos and videos, and our dogs looked quite happy and relaxed. Her house has a fenced-in area that they loved to play in. Most impressive of all, though, was that Andrea let the dogs into her bedroom (they are used to sleeping next to us), on Christmas no less. Our dogs seemed in great shape when we picked them up after their 3 day stay. She seems to be a very caring and careful dog sitter. We would have no hesitation in our leaving our dogs with her again. Thanks!”
“Bianka took great care of our blind dog Scooby! She sent frequent updates that included many pictures. Bianka was also super patient with Scooby and kept him company when he woke up barking in the middle of the night. We are so grateful for the care she provided Scooby!”

Will definitely book with Noemi again!”

“Jayme really helped us out with watching Diesel when we had to go away for a long weekend for a family wedding. I felt very comfortable knowing that Diesel was in good hands and that he had a yard to play around with. Jayme is very kind and sent several pictures of Diesel. Knowing that he was in someone’s loving home and not in a boarding facility put me at ease. I would recommend Jayme without hesitation for anyone who wants their dog to have a home away from home!”

“Catie and her husband were able to take care of my dog when travel plans changed last minute. I was very nervous with a new sitter but they took great care of Barkley. They sent videos and pictures thru out his stay and were very responsive when I reached out to check on how he was doing. I would recommend them and use again!”

“We felt very comfortable leaving our Sheltie Winston with Brittney (and family!) and the daily updates and pics were great so we never worried while away. Definitely will use her service again!”

“Lucy was absolutely amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better first experience using a boarding service. As first-time users, we were honestly a bit nervous leaving our dog with someone new, and we had reached out to multiple places before finding her. From the very beginning, Lucy stood out for how responsive, kind, and reassuring she was, and I’m so glad we chose her. Throughout the entire stay, she kept us consistently updated with videos and pictures, which meant so much to us. It really gave us peace of mind seeing our dog happy, comfortable, and well cared for. You can tell Lucy truly cares about the animals she looks after. She has a whole area designated for the dogs, and that level of attention and communication made all the difference for us. We will definitely be using her services again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative dog sitter.”

“Elizabeth sent multiple pictures and was very communicative while my pups were in her care. She and her family took wonderful care of my fur babies and I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants their dogs to be in a loving home while they are out of town!”

“Joseph is great! This was our first time using Rover. Our cat Walter loved him! Joseph was always on time and sent us photos and updates promptly! Highly recommend”

“Jen is fantastic. She is very professional and dotes on Tako like we would. I know Tako is in loving hands and with a human who just gets cats, which is so important. Jen takes lots of photos & videos and keeps me posted on how he’s doing. Her communication is extremely fast and punctual. I’m looking forward to working with Jen in the future.”

“This was my first time using Rover and the first time letting someone else watch my animals. I can say with full confidence that Kate is the best pet sitter anyone could ask for. She is responsive, respectful and amazing in all aspects. My cats took a personal liking to her, and for one of my cats that is very difficult in trusting new people. Sure enough day 1 he was asking to be pet by her. If you want to go away or need to find someone to trust your pets with, Kate is the person to use!”

“Sarah is a wonderful, committed cat sitter. Your lovies will be in best hands. She took many notes and photos at each visit. She dug into her own supply of Churru treats for one of our kitties, since we left insufficient amount! Her daughter came along for the care and really gave love. We hope Sarah and her daughter can return when we again need!”

“Andrea is the best! This is my second time using her to take care of my cat, and I’m so thankful. She even had some issues with getting into my building (due to circumstances out of her control) but was super patient as she waited for me to get back to her. Becoming a go-to pet sitter!”

“Melissa is so fantastic. She is flexible, responsive to communication, and great with animals. We got wonderful photos and updates when during her drop in visits with our cat Nora. We felt like Nora was in very good hands and that she had lots of fun with Melissa. We would definitely book Melissa again and would highly recommend her.”

“I used Gabriela to watch my kitty and it was a very pleasant experience. Gabriela always kept me updated with each house visit and took care of all the special needs my cat had. She was also very responsive and more than willing to help out with getting the keys to my roommate, etc. I would absolutely book with Gabriela again, and you should too!”

“Kelli was a great cat-sitter for our three cats. She was dedicated and made sure to spend time with all of them. One of our cats needs medication twice a day and she was able to administer it to her easily. She also played with our two younger cats, who love attention. When we came home, they appeared well taken care of. Would definitely book her again!”

“Marsela was a wonderful cat-sitter — intuitive, caring, communicative. Even with my particularly shy cat I felt relieved knowing she was being cared for attentively! Would absolutely recommended Marsela.”

“Jessica was very accommodating with my relatively short notice trip. One of my cats can be very shy but he felt comfortable enough to come for most of her visits. Everything looked great when I returned home. I would definitely use Jessica again!”

“CJ was such a wonderful sitter for my 2 kitties! I was nervous to leave my cats for so long over the holidays, but CJ sent updates and photos everyday that helped ease my anxiety. Even my super shy cat felt comfortable around CJ. I super appreciate CJ’s clear communication, reliability, and clear love of all animals.”

“Andrea was just wonderful. It was my first time leaving them with a sitter. I knew I could trust her with my babies right off the bat. She’s sweet and caring and communicated with me the whole time because I was anxious being away from them. It’s easy to see that she is a dog person to the core. Highly recommend!”

“Liza was wonderful. We need a last minute booking for a holiday and she accommodated us very easily. Our Goldendoodle, Biscuit, was very well cared for. He doesn’t always do well away from us and can have some separation anxiety. He was at ease and enjoyed himself. We will definitely rebook with her.”

“Stephanie has been very responsive to us in onboarding our 5 year old rescue to her care. She takes the time to get to know the dogs she cares for and works with them. Her calming way with the dogs inspires trust. We’ve done a one day visit in preparation for a longer stay. So far so great!”
“Mariana is the greatest!!! My little guy normally suffers from tremendous separation anxiety, however, within Mariana’s care he was a happy little puppy the entire time. Thank you again Mariana!”

“I had to find a last minute sitter, and Howard was an absolute life-saver! Within an hour of sending him the first message, I was dropping my puppy off at his house. He communicated regularly with me throughout the day, kept her active, and was very receptive to her particular needs. Overall, an excellent experience. Would recommend highly!”
“Steven and Claudia are awesome dog people. They kept in touch with pictures and a video and Mello was very happy when I picked him up. Would definitely book again!!”

“Brianna was a wonderful host for my dog Bear! She clearly has a love for animals and was even willing to bring my dog on a car ride so he wouldn't be alone for 45 minutes. Would definitely bring my dog back again!”

About: While I may be new to Rover, I’m definitely not new to caring for animals! I’ve looked after pets for family, friends, and neighbors over the years — including walks, feeding, playtime, and lots of cuddles. As well as my own pets, such as cats, dogs, turtles & guinea pigs. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels, and I always take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and routine. Whether your pup loves long walks or just wants someone to hang out with, I’m here to give them the love and attention they need while you’re away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member. You can count on me to be punctual, responsible, and communicative — with plenty of updates and photos to keep you in the loop! My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved — just like they would with you. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets the attention they deserve — whether that’s sticking to feeding times, giving medications, a sleepover or just spending time to keep them happy and comfortable. I always make it a priority to follow each pet’s routine closely, so they feel safe and at ease when their owners are away. When pets stay in my home, I do everything I can to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable — just like part of the family. I provide a clean, calm environment where they can relax, play, and stick to their normal routine. And when I care for pets in your home I treat it with respect, making sure everything stays clean and as I found it. Whether it’s giving medication, tidying up food/water bowls, or spending quality time with your pet, I handle each visit with care and attention. I know how important it is to stay connected while you’re away, so I provide regular updates and photos to give you peace of mind.
“What a great way to spend a day! My pup clearly had the best time with Cheyenne and her dogs (as evidenced by the photos), and it was a great peace of mind to know she was happy and well taken-care-of.”

“Zuly and her family took wonderful care of my poodle, Babette. She is a great communicator, and understands the needs of dogs from years of experience. Her home was neat, immaculate, and felt very welcoming. I look forward to using her services in the future!”

About: I have taken care of dog for over five years since I was little! as an animal lover, I have always felt a strong connection with our furry little friends. Over the years, I have taken care of several dogs and cats for family and friends. From providing them with a lovely home to ensuring they receive the best possible care, I believe all pets deserve to be treated with love, respect, and compassion. I am excited and committed to taking care of your pets! I am currently a student, so I’ll have plenty of times dedicated to taking care of the pets. I only take one animal at a time, so I make sure that each animal gets my full attention. I live in an apartment, but I take dogs out for walks quite often throughout the day to make sure they’re not holding back. if I believe in giving the most loving and comfortable environment for our pets. So I strive to keep my household very clean and pay close attention to the hygiene of the animals
About: Since I’ve been a little girl I’ve grown up with all types of dogs. Whether it comes to hyper dogs, lazy dogs, mean dogs, you name it! I love taking care of dogs because they are my favorite animal and they deserve all the love in the world. I understand how hard it can be to take care of your dog when your busy, your pet is basically your child. I would take care of your pet as if it was your everything. I have grown up with a dog family and have had up to as many as five dogs at one time. I’m well aware of the needs a dog or cat needs, and I’m the perfect sitter to take care of your dog.
About: I was very lucky to be born into a dog-loving family and was raised learning how to care for furry friends as a part of the family. Since then, I have continued to dog sit for friends and family alike, including elderly dogs that are deaf and blind. My other job is to support people through crisis situations, which allows me to respond effectively and responsibly in case something unexpected arises. I am very organized and punctual and have lots of practice in coordination. I wish I could have a dog of my own, but due to frequent traveling, it’s sadly not the right time for me. I love having the opportunity through Rover. Any and all instructions you leave for me will be followed with the utmost care to keep your little buddy happy! First and foremost, I like to introduce myself to the pet to see if they feel comfortable with me. Once I am able to establish trust with an introduction to your pet, I will make sure that I understand from the owner what they expect to keep the pet safe and happy. The biggest thing is to approach each pet with patience and care, and focus on ensuring the pet feels safe and happy and the owners are able to have peace of mind and strong communication while they are gone.

About: I have helped raise 3 litters of puppies, and I have extensive experience with dogs and cats of all sizes, temperaments, and abilities from my time as a pet parent and volunteer at my local animal shelter. I am currently in graduate school and work part time, leaving the majority of my days and weekends available to care for your furry friend! I am a lifelong animal lover, and given my active lifestyle, I am able to keep up with even the highest energy animals! I am also very detail-oriented, meaning that I can anticipate your animal’s needs and give them a similar experience to their day-to-day routine with you.
“Melissa was wonderful to communicate with, her responses were always prompt and professional. She did an amazing job looking after my dog, Millie, going above and beyond to make sure she was looked after and comfortable, while I was away for the day.”

About: As a kid, my parents only agreed to let me get a dog if I committed to taking care of it. So, I raised, trained, and cared for our precious golden retriever for 8 years until going off to college. Since then, I've jumped at every chance to dogsit for my friends' dogs - I've taken care of more than 15 different dogs (breeds, sizes, needs, dog-alities) to date. I can't wait to meet your dog(s) and promise to love and care for them as if they were my own :) I'm a graduate student at Stanford and am pretty busy during the weekdays, but I love to spend my free weekends with dogs! My schedule will be much more flexible this summer if you need a more consistent sitter or walker then :) In the home, I'm happy to adapt to you and your dog's needs and preferences - i.e. whether you want them on the couch/bed or not ;) In case of emergency, I have a car and can drive to pick up meds, bring your dog to the vet, etc. I am sadly allergic to cats!
About: I’ve never had my own dog but have BEGGED my parents for once since I was young. We settled on them letting me volunteer at the local animal shelter, where I mainly walk dogs and help out senior dogs. I’ve loved it so much I did it throughout college, but now that I’m out of college and have moved to a new town, am looking for a similar way to replicate that hobby. Currently also a grad student at Yale, so looking for a low maintenance way to make some extra allowance as well! I work 4/7 days a week, so I can walk your dog on pretty much any time of the weekend, before 10am on weekdays, after 7pm on weekdays, and depending on the week, an extra weekday! Very flexible! I am just looking to walk dogs for now, and I will promise you they will have the best time!! I love to run and hike so your dog will definitely get an amazing walk.
About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, especially cats. Over the years, I have become the go-to pet sitter within my friend group and regularly care for my friends’ cats while they are away on vacation. I also grew up informally pet sitting for neighbors and friends, giving me experience caring for pets in a variety of home environments and routines. I currently care for my own cat, Reami, a 3-year-old Ragamuffin whom I have raised since he was a kitten. Reami has anxiety-related health issues that can contribute to urinary tract problems, so I am very familiar with providing attentive, patient, and consistent care for sensitive pets. Because of his needs, I understand the importance of maintaining a calm environment, monitoring behavior closely, sticking to routines, encouraging play and enrichment, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. In addition to caring for Reami, I have also helped care for my roommates’ cats in the past, including feeding, playtime, litter box maintenance, and general companionship. Through these experiences, I have become comfortable caring for cats with different personalities, energy levels, and temperaments — from shy and anxious cats to highly social and playful ones. While I mainly prefer cat sitting, I also have some experience with dogs, including walking friends’ dogs and taking them on hikes and outdoor outings. I am happy to provide patient, attentive care tailored to each pet’s personality and comfort level. As a sitter, I prioritize communication, reliability, cleanliness, and making sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, and enrichment while their owners are away. I am a graduate student whose lab is only a 15 minute walk away from home. My schedule is extremely flexible and except for few meetings throughout the week, my schedule is fully up to me. I am also able to leave at any point for short breaks to take pets out for walks/ check up on them. I prioritize creating a calm, safe, and comfortable environment for every pet I care for. I understand that pets — especially cats — can be sensitive to changes in routine, so I do my best to keep their schedule and environment consistent while their owners are away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, medications, litter box cleaning, playtime, exercise, and any specific routines or preferences. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel reassured that their pets are happy and well cared for. As the owner of an anxious cat with special care needs, I am very attentive to pets’ behavior, comfort, and stress levels. I value patience, cleanliness, reliability, and making sure every pet feels safe, relaxed, and loved.

“Gabriela was great! She was super adaptable and stopped over on such short notice to meet Steve the night before we needed a walker. She handled all of our needs, kept us updated on everything and provided pictures of her walk with Steve! She did a great job and we know Steve had fun on his walk. We highly recommend Gabriela and we will be using her again in the future”

“Liz was amazing and accommodated me with a last-minute request! They were so responsive and great with my dogs - everybody was happy and taken care of. :) I’ll absolutely reach out in the future and would recommend them to anyone!”

About: I have been taking care of my own cats and dogs since I was a young child. From potty training to de-escalation, I've seen quite a bit! Oh, and that old saying is not true. You can definitely teach an old dog new tricks. I work a flexible, remote job and am flexible on when I can provide pet services. While I cannot board animals, I am open to visit your pets while away and/or take them on a brisk stroll! I try to make your pet's experience as comforting for everyone as possible. I appreciate getting a list of each pet's likes/dislikes, or even anxieties so I can get a good idea of how to keep them comfortable. I think we can all agree that new people can be scary, and I want to make sure you and your pet feel comfortable and can trust me.
About: I have been housesitting, dog and cat sitting for about 15 years now as a side gig. I have several references and usually rely on word of mouth referrals. I am free most weekends and holidays, with some flexibility during the week for drop in visits. I live in the New Haven area but am willing to travel for gigs. I am happy to house-sit but am unable to bring pets into my home. I am good with animals of all types and have extensive experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages.
“Julia was great walking and checking in on our dog Franklin. She was very thorough, prompt with responses, and sent a lot of updates with pictures. We’ll definitely use Julia again in the future.”

“Vanessa is so lovely! She walks my pug, Mabel, regularly and Mabel adores her. She is incredibly reliable and sends great pictures and updates. I appreciate her extra effort so much and would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I have spent 10 years of my life taking care of my own animals and families pet. On top of schooling to provide the best care possible. Currently part time, my availability is Sunday, Monday and Thursday. Hours can be interchangeable; never be afraid to ask :). Completely free those days to be attentive to your pets. I’ve had dogs all my life. I know how to play with animals for maximum exercise, can follow dietary instructions and have a deep rooted love for all species. Dogs are the babies in my home and receive the utmost care and love. Never worry about other dogs in the home or mistreatment from others.
“Jen was absolutely amazing. I was a dunce and forgot I had my old address in my profile and she was gracious enough to come to our actual place to still complete the walk even though she had arrived at my old place already. My dog is reactive to other dogs while on leash and I witnessed first hand how well she handled her while seeing another dog. I’m looking forward to using her services regularly!!”

About: Hello! My name is Aislyn, I have been taking care of dogs professionally for 6 years now. I have worked as a walker/sitter since 2017, and have worked in all types of doggy daycares (I’ve handled 50 dogs at one time- whew!) I also have experience as an animal transporter, delivering dogs across the country via ground transport and airline cargo! I have experience with ALL types and temperaments of dogs, from hyperactive puppies to senior special needs dogs. I am well versed in medication administration and special care, as well as some basic positive reinforcement training. I am currently doing rover full time, so all of my availability is open to providing the most care and attention to your fur family! I understand that a huge level of trust is needed between clients and their dog walker. I am always available to answer any questions or concerns you may have before or after booking with me. Since I've worked in this industry for many years, I have a lot of knowledge of proper dog handling and safety procedures. Dogs will NEVER be off leash outside of their own fenced in yard or closed run (with clients permission) and I am always alert and evaluating potential dangers outside of the house while walking (other dogs, people, etc). As a dog sitter, I am trusted with many keys/gate codes and always follow specific procedures given by clients to enter and lock up their houses. I have leash attachments for my car seatbelts, seat covers, and a soft “gate” between my backseat and front seats in order to transport dogs safely. If you have any questions, please message me and I will be happy to answer. (Also message me if you'd like to see my comprehensive resume!)

“Elizabeth sent multiple pictures and was very communicative while my pups were in her care. She and her family took wonderful care of my fur babies and I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants their dogs to be in a loving home while they are out of town!”

“Nadine and her family were wonderful in taking care of our dog, Stella, while we were away. They were very attentive to Stella’s needs and personality and kept to her regular routine. Nadine kept us updated of Stella throughout her stay which is important when apart from your pets. We will definitely be using Nadine and Daniel again as dog sitters and highly recommend them to anyone considering a sitter for their pets.”
“Monique was absolutely amazing! It was the first time I have ever left my dog for 2 weeks … I was so happy with how Spicey was taken care of! I got daily pictures/texts/videos of her and I saw how content she was. It made my vacation so enjoyable to know that she was loved and safe. I highly recommend Monique and her husband to care for your dogs. I will be using her again soon!”
