“I had a family wedding to go to and wanted to find a safe and comfortable place to leave Winston, my young dorgi (half dachshund, half corgi) who had never been away from me since I was lucky enough to get him. Laura and her family turned out to be the perfect people and place. With a beautiful, safe home out in the country, a deck and fenced in yard where he could play, a open-plan house where he was visible at all times, Laura’s place was perfect. And the bonus: three little girls who adored him and lavished attention upon him, much to his delight. Laura, herself, was wonderful, caring, professional, delightful. She took him on long walks which he loved, texted me photos and updates on this progress during the stay, saw to his every need and even made some recommendations to me as to feeding bowls which might slow his eating down (he snarfs up his food in seconds!). I was afraid he wouldn’t want to come home. But I think he knows he can go back and stay in this home away from home which he will definitely be doing the next time I need to go away without him. I can’t tell you the peace of mind that all this brought me, knowing that he was happy and being well-cared-for and loved.”

About: Having cared for 13 dogs and 4 cats (yes, we keep count), we've seen it all. Daily exercise and even bathing is quite familiar to us. Leo has hands-on experience with animal shelters, and I have biological based experience with both nutritional needs and animal anatomy, and we both can provide basic training. We currently have a year-old golden retriever and a tabby! We've dealt with a couple lovable (but difficult) pets and can deal with issues like stubbornness, biting, and basic potty training. I currently have a small dog named Munchie with many different health problems such as anxiety and epilepsy which gives me experience in caring for dogs with specific needs. I also currently have a large dog who is a Shepard, Boxer mix named Leo who gives me experience in caring for large dogs and their active and rambunctious needs. Along with my two dogs I have four cats who give me experience in the joy of caring for cats. As a pet owner I know the struggle of finding a good and trustworthy pet sitter. That is why I want to be able to be that pet sitter that will allow you to enjoy your vacation or go to work with the peace of mind knowing your pet is being taken care of. I am currently a student at Marist College in Poughkeepsie. Due to my class schedule I have blocks of time in which I am not in class or doing homework that I would love to be able to fill with hanging out with dogs:) Due to the fact that I am a college student I do not have the home environment to be able to care for your dog at my house. But I will give them the love and attention they need during my drop-in visits with lots of pets, playtime, walks and treats!
About: I've taken care of aniamls since I was 3, I take of my friends and neighbors animals, to give feed them and walk them and bathe them. I don't work because I live on a small farm and take care of them and all my dogs and birds and cats and I can work with anyone's pets after school.
