About: I do love dogs but. I am a cat person. I travel for work so I haven't gotten another since my last three years ago. My best friend told me she still can't believe I haven't because "Jill" and "cats" are like "peanut butter and jelly" in her head. I got my last two cats, a brother and sister, as kittens in high school and loved them so hard for 12 and 15 years. Max had three urinary blockages and after the last, he just couldn't bounce back. And Jinx had kidney disease that progressed to failure. So I have some experience with prescription food and medications as well as giving subcutaneous fluids. Definitely wasn't my favorite but I would have done anything for my kitties and would do the same for another's.

“Aliya was very conscientious and attentive to the kitties. She was here every day, checked on the cats, fed them and checked their litter boxes. We would definitely have Aliya cat sit for our babies again in the future.”

“Emily is sweet and loving. She clearly loves animals and our two pups love her. Emily is dependable and prompt and quickly responds. We are planning to have her back on regular schedule.”

About: I’ve always loved spending time with cats and understand that each one has their own unique personality. I’ve had two cats of my own, so I’m experienced with daily care, including feeding, cleaning litter boxes, grooming, and cleaning up the occasional hairball. I enjoy playing with cats, giving them attention at their own pace, and making sure they feel comfortable and safe. Whether your cat is outgoing and playful or shy and independent, I’m happy to adapt to their temperament and provide patient, loving care.

“Isabelle is so sweet and she was great with our boy Boone! We didnt have enough time for her to meet Boone prior to booking so our boy was nervous when she first got there, but she made sure to give him his space and time to warm up to her. It paid off because they spent the evening on the couch together 😊 She followed the schedule we provided and she sent photo and picture updates throughout their time together, which was great. Boone made a new friend so we’ll be sure to book Isabelle again!”

About: I've had cats my entire life and I always plan to. One of the best parts of my daily life is coming home to, waking up to and going to sleep with them. I'm accustomed to all different personalities, being as I have two opposites at home right now (one sweet and loving, and one who shows love in a different slightly more painful way). You can trust in me to love your cats as my own and cater to all their needs!
“Rachel was awesome and kept us updated while we were gone and appreciate all the love she gave our cats. It allowed us to enjoy our trip without stressing about our two cats.”

“Steve was great with Miss Hazel. He was timely and attentive to her. Followed our instructions well and gave us lots of updates. In fact when we came home, she expected him to be there. When she didn’t see him, she went looking for him all over the house! We were only gone 2 days and already she loved him! Thanks for the peace of mind while we were away from our girl!”

“This was the first time we used Rover and we had such a great experience with Megan! She was so patient with our anxious kitty and everything went perfect. We will definitely ask her to sit for us again in the future!”

“Wonderful experience - we had to rush out of town twice because of an elderly parent’s health. Samantha was there for us both times even though it was short notice. She saw to our cats needs and even helped out with an issue with unplugging a machine that was left running. Wonderful lady!!!”

There are photos on my profile that highlight some of the events on campus I have volunteered at to raise money for the puppies at the local animal shelter. I do also have experience with horses. My experience has strengthened my passion for working with animals and reinforced my commitment to providing them with attentive, compassionate care. I currently have a lot of availability to be able to take care of your pets. I can board and attend to your pets any day of the week. I have a fenced-in backyard and two dogs of my own as well. I have a 10-month-old male English Bulldog and a 3-year-old female French Bulldog. They are both very friendly and love playing with other dogs. About: Hello! I’ve worked in many animal related industries including boarding and LLivestock management. This has given me ample experience in care and a nuanced understanding of animal emotion and signals. I provide attentive care and seek to accommodate the individual needs of all animals in my care. They will be well-watched and cared for! I work from home with my sweet dog Rae. We take frequent potty breaks and time to chase sticks and toys. Dog care is built into my schedule, which is flexible to accommodate any needs your dog might have. Our large yard is not fenced but we keep an avid eye on all dogs at play. If desired, we have a tracker collar that gives us live updates of their location to ensure extra precautions. If your dog loves to run and play they will have play of space to do so! Rae is a great play companion but also gives other dogs space if they would like.

About: Dogs thrive on calm structure and that’s exactly what I provide. I create a controlled, low stress environment where dogs are calm, well managed, and set up for success. I’m a sitter with formal training in dog behavior, and I’m currently continuing my education through an accredited, science based training program. My approach goes beyond basic pet sitting, I focus on structure, clear boundaries, and reading behavior to prevent issues before they start. I specialize in dogs that need structure and guidance, whether that’s anxious dogs, easily overstimulated dogs, or dogs adjusting to a new environment. My focus is helping dogs stay calm, regulated, and comfortable, not just physically tired. Every dog is handled intentionally and with clear structure, not as part of a chaotic group setting. Pet care is my full-time work, so your dog’s routine becomes part of my routine. Meals, walks, rest, enrichment, and any training cues you already use are followed as consistently as possible. I keep things structured and predictable so dogs, especially anxious, reactive, or easily overstimulated ones, can settle in and feel secure. My home is structured, supervised, and calm, not a chaotic group setup or a free for all. Dogs are introduced thoughtfully, given clear boundaries, and supported with a predictable routine so they feel safe and secure. I tailor the environment to each dog, including decompression time, quiet space, and supervised social time only when appropriate. My focus is always on behavior, safety, and preventing overstimulation or unsafe situations. My approach is best suited for dogs who can follow structure and benefit from a calm, well-managed environment. I am not a good fit for dogs that rely on constant high energy group play or a completely unstructured routine.
“Nicole is not only knowledgeable but you can feel how she loves taking care of animals! I appreciate so much the care she has provided and will using her again! Thank you 🙏🏻”

“Rachel was amazing with our deaf pup, Hazel! She was so communicative and made us feel comfortable. Hazel had a wonderful time at daycare! Would recommend Rachel to everyone!”

About: Growing up, I had a Lab and then a Boxer and two cats. I've also helped my aunt at the doggie daycare she runs out of her home where she often has more than 10 dogs at a time. Everything from a Great Pyrenees to German Shepherds to Doodles to Yorkies. And it's always so much fun! The care I'll give your pets will really depend on them and their needs. There's a very large unfenced grass area behind my apartment building that would be perfect for walks or play. And there are multiple parks in the area too we could explore. At yours, I'd keep whatever their normal routine is. Whether that's taking walks, throwing the ball or just sitting and chilling and scratching butts. Their butts of course! About: I am a mom to three human children, three dogs, and three horses. When my kids were younger, my "me time" was spent volunteering for various rescues and shelters. I love taking care of animals and found so much satisfaction helping out those poor little creatures who had no home to call their own! I loved it so much that I decided to start my own 501c3 nonprofit animal rescue! I figured that in doing so, I could help on a way bigger scale! Additionally, I could put more efforts in to helping people through the love of animals in need! Making the adoption process easy and fun, and making sure the humans and the pets are a wonderful match have made my rescue quite successful! Over the past 11 years I have rescued thousands of dogs, hundreds of cats, and three horses from shelters and other high risk situations! Throughout my years of taking care of pets, I have care for basically every age, breed, size, and temperament! I have also provided care on just about every level...from administering meds, IV treatments, vaccines, basic grooming, and basic training/behavior modifications. I joined Rover because I want to continue helping animals and support pet owners who need someone they can truly trust. I understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, comfortable, and cared for like family while you’re away. Being able to provide that peace of mind is something I take seriously. Every pet has unique needs, routines, and personalities. My goal is to provide consistent, attentive care while maintaining the structure and comfort your pet is used to. I also prioritize clear communication so you always feel confident and informed while your pet is in my care. My schedule has a lot of flexibility, and I am a full-time caregiver for these sweet babies! I will always do my best to be available for you and your furry family members! Pets in my home have my full supervision, and when I am unable to have my eye on them, they are either crated or in their own safe space! Our yard is fully fenced!

Whether your pet needs feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, walks, playtime, or simply some extra love and attention, I'm happy to help. About: Choosing a sitter is about more than just a check-in; it’s about finding a calm, capable environment where your pet feels truly understood. My background in healthcare naturally informs how I care for animals—I tend to be an observant caregiver, keeping a watchful eye on comfort levels and the small details that matter for a pet’s well-being. As a working-from-home mom, my days are rooted in a reliable routine. This allows me to provide the consistent, low-stress supervision that is so helpful for all animals who need a little extra help and those who require a patient, intuitive touch to feel at home. I have experience caring for a wide range of needs and species—from the high energy of puppies to the quiet companionship of seniors, the unique needs of rescues, and even farm friends like chickens. Whether it's keeping a medication schedule on track, assisting with mobility challenges, or simply providing a quiet space for a nervous soul to decompress, I focus on creating a safe, gentle environment where every animal in my care can truly relax. If for some reason (vacations/getaways) we are unavailable it will be marked on the calendar. I do my best to confirm my calendar and availability daily. Our front and back yard is fenced in and we are set back from the road. There is plenty of room to run and play. As for feeding; All dogs and/or cats will be fed separately. This includes treats.

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats since I could walk, so caring for animals has always felt second nature. I also volunteer as a dog walker, socializer, and trainer at Danbury Animal Welfare Society, where I work with dogs of different temperaments, energy levels, and needs. My style is calm, patient, and attentive, whether your dog needs a real exercise walk, your cat needs a quiet check-in, or your older pet just needs someone gentle and consistent. I know trusting someone with your pet and your home is a big deal, so I take reliability seriously. I’ll show up when I say I will, pay attention to your pet’s routine, and send clear updates so you know they’re safe, happy, and cared for. I currently work full time, but my evenings and weekends are often free. I’m a good fit for weekend walks, evening check-ins, drop-in visits, and occasional pet care when your regular routine needs extra support. Because I value reliability, I only accept bookings I know I can show up for fully and on time. I pay close attention to each pet’s body language, comfort level, routines, and boundaries, and I never force interactions with people, dogs, or unfamiliar situations. For walks, I keep dogs securely leashed, avoid unsafe areas, and adjust the pace to the dog’s age, energy, and temperament. I’m comfortable with shy, anxious, energetic, and older pets, and I believe patience and consistency go a long way. For drop-ins, I’ll respect your home, follow your instructions carefully, check food, water, litter, doors, and gates, and send clear updates so you know how your pet is doing.

“Saori took fantastic care of our large doodle Toby for two weeks while we were traveling. We received daily updates with pictures and videos, which was really great. Toby had so much fun and will be going back next time we travel. I highly recommend Saori to anyone who needs a skilled and kind person to care of their pet.”

“I couldn’t have left my dog in better hands. She got to be active and play with other dogs and the owners were so nice and friendly! Would definitely recommend and go back to again ?”

“Rich was a joy to meet and to care for our 2 pups! We loved his daily puppy pics & videos. Our Lucy loved Rich & our big shy guy, Percy, who soon settled in, too. Great experience at the house of Rich and his two fur babies.”

“Jillian was the best, so patient and great with Bella. I ended up running late to pick her up and got caught in a thunderstorm. Bella is terrified by thunder, but Jillian was chill and stuck with her. Wouldn’t hesitate to ask Jillian to watch Bella again!”

“Great experience from beginning to end. It was our first time leaving Gigi with a sitter. Dew kept us updated and sent photos, which was a great comfort to us. Will definitely use her again.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Erika while Frankie was in her care! She sent daily pictures and kept in touch consistently, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear Frankie was happy and well cared for the entire time. We highly recommend Erika!”

“Stephen is a super care taker, for sure. Great and timely communications, friendly and very accommodating for a last minute request. Made the whole experience of looking after my Gracie seamless and easy.”

“Our energetic pup had another wonderful, week-long stay with Nicole! She has him running, playing and feeling comfortable in her care. Monty comes home good and tired but never stressed after away from his regular routine. Nicole has become our peace of mind when traveling without our pet. We trust, value and appreciate her, every time!”

“This is my second time having my fur baby with Sue. It was a much longer visit this time (a week) amd Sue remained her kind communicative self. Would recommend in a heartbeat. She goes above and beyond. Thank you! 💕”

“I was so impressed with Jeff as a sitter. He’s a natural with dogs and his property is well-suited to host them. He kept in communication with frequent texts and photos. In each one, it was very clear to see that my Tate was having an amazing time with Jeff and his dog Sara. In fact, Tate was clearly depressed for a few days after coming home! I look forward to using him again on my next trip.”

“I've used Veronica at least a couple times at this point and she has been nothing less thank fantastic. She has been fantastic at communication, great at scheduling room, and took amazing care of my Mika! Definitely bwill contact her again and I would encourage anyone to do the same.”

“Volha was fantastic! She would update us with photos everyday. Volha asked us about our dog’s( Lisa) routine to make sure she was most comfortable during her stay without too many changes. We will definitely ask Volha again to watch Lisa in the future!”

“Poppy had a wonderful time with Jennifer. She is very caring and attentive. She sent me multiple pictures each day and kept me informed. This is my second time using Jennifer to care for Poppy, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Thank you Jennifer.”

“Jessica was great at watching Gwen! She was able to accommodate our last-minute request after another sitter cancelled. She was very communicative about Gwen’s stay and sent plenty of photos and updates. She took great care of our little pup!”

“We were extremely happy with our experience! Ryan was knowledgeable and attentive to our dog. We received many updates and pictures while we were away which we really appreciated. He was even willing to bathe him after a run in with a mud puddle. 😅 We’ll definitely be repeat customers.”

“We had a great experience with Kate! Our dog, Sampson, stayed in her home and was very well cared for. Communication was easy and consistent, and we felt completely comfortable knowing our pup was in good hands. Sampson is pretty easygoing, but it was clear he was treated with attention and kindness. We will definitely book with them again.”

“Little skeptical with the app at first, but after reading all the reviews of the several individuals I contacted , and reading the reviews about Rachel, I decided to give this app a chance . So happy I gave Rachel a chance ! Nothing but positive reviews !!!! I got daily photos of my dog having a better time with her than with me. I actually started feeling a little jealous , almost at the point where I was afraid he would not come home with me. She’s awesome very attentive would highly recommend her.”

About: Ever since I was young, I have had a strong love for animals, especially dogs. I grew up surrounded by dogs and currently have two of my own. Over the years, I have pet-sat for neighbors and friends, and I always enjoy caring for and spending time with their pets. At college I am part of a club where we work with and volunteer at the local animal shelters. At your residence, I will respect any boundaries you may have and provide the best service I can.
“I would definitely recommend Brittany to anyone that needs boarding for their pets. She treated our puppy Storm like she was one of her own. She sent us pictures of Storm having a great time and assured us that she was playing the entire time she was there. When we picked her up she was clearly happy and exhausted. We will definitely be using Brittany again in the future.”
