“I had a family wedding to go to and wanted to find a safe and comfortable place to leave Winston, my young dorgi (half dachshund, half corgi) who had never been away from me since I was lucky enough to get him. Laura and her family turned out to be the perfect people and place. With a beautiful, safe home out in the country, a deck and fenced in yard where he could play, a open-plan house where he was visible at all times, Laura’s place was perfect. And the bonus: three little girls who adored him and lavished attention upon him, much to his delight. Laura, herself, was wonderful, caring, professional, delightful. She took him on long walks which he loved, texted me photos and updates on this progress during the stay, saw to his every need and even made some recommendations to me as to feeding bowls which might slow his eating down (he snarfs up his food in seconds!). I was afraid he wouldn’t want to come home. But I think he knows he can go back and stay in this home away from home which he will definitely be doing the next time I need to go away without him. I can’t tell you the peace of mind that all this brought me, knowing that he was happy and being well-cared-for and loved.”

About: I have been taking care of pets since I was born with my first Golden Retriever “Missy”. My family has had a wide variety of animals from dogs and cats, to hamsters and bunnies, all the way to horses. I am often called on by my fiends to pet sit as I am known as the friend with a surplus of pets. I currently have a small dog named Munchie with many different health problems such as anxiety and epilepsy which gives me experience in caring for dogs with specific needs. “This was my first time using Rover.com. I had picked up my German shepherd, Evie, from a shelter in North Carolina last November. Based on her recorded condition when brought in as a stray 5 weeks before she had been through a rough period. She has fully recovered now and is in good health. My wife and I wanted to find someone to board her with where she would be happy when we're away. We identified a few possibilities at the Rover website and following a positive meet and greet with Nadjeska last week, had Evie spend the day with her yesterday. It went very well. Nadjeska sent us several texts with photos during the day updating us on Evie's stay. We were looking for a home where Evie could spend time with and play with other dogs and Evie made a new friend, Sparkles, Najeska's little dog. About: Having cared for 13 dogs and 4 cats (yes, we keep count), we've seen it all. Daily exercise and even bathing is quite familiar to us. Leo has hands-on experience with animal shelters, and I have biological based experience with both nutritional needs and animal anatomy, and we both can provide basic training. We currently have a year-old golden retriever and a tabby! We've dealt with a couple lovable (but difficult) pets and can deal with issues like stubbornness, biting, and basic potty training. About: I have been taking care of pets since I was born with my first Golden Retriever “Missy”.
