Kristin went above and beyond teaching Harvey the fundamentals of the agility course, working on his commands and giving him homemade lick mats and treats. About: Cats have always fascinated me, as someone who grew up around dogs I’ve always wanted the chance to befriend and care for felines. I finally got that chance around 4 years ago when I began my work in kennels, and have since grown a love and appreciation for cats of all different breeds, temperaments, and abilities. Ive performed duties such as litter cleaning, administering medication (both oral and injectable), and different enrichment activities like puzzles and playtime! I truly love spending time around cats and learning to bond with them at their own pace. About a year ago, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to adopt a ~6 week old kitten and have been raising her since (See my photo; that’s me and my baby!). She’s taught me patience, love, and the fulfillment of having a pet who trusts me unconditionally. About: I’ve had dogs and cats of all sorts and sizes since I was a kid, and love playing with them. One of the requirements for our current home was to have a big yard so our boys could run free! I work from home and create my own schedule, and am an introvert so I’m almost always at my home unless I’m running an errand. This means I’ll always be here to take care of your animal and take them for walks, bathroom breaks, or play time. I have a big (unfenced) private back yard far away from any neighbors. I have two doodle’s who love to play with other dogs and two cats who will probably hide the whole time. Your pet will spend most of their time with me while I’m in my office or doing chores around the house, then the rest of the time playing with me and (optionally) my two dogs in our yard. My two doodles love other dogs and are non-aggressive, but if there are any issues I am happy to separate them. I used to train dogs in another life so I know how to handle and care for dogs.

I currently work third shift 3 nights a week but have someone home on those nights. So your pets will never be alone . I also have 3 children who enjoy helping so it has become part of daily routine to do feedings and walks. I treat your pets like family, I usually request a crate for them so they have a familiar safe space in case they get overwhelmed but otherwise they free roam. I follow whatever schedule you follow at home. So if you allow your fur babies on the couch so will I. But if not I respect that and follow that as well. So it really is treating your babies like ours. I’m an early riser, so early morning feedings and walks are easy to fit into my routine. My work schedule can vary so I can be flexible with walks. I treat your animals as my own, while still following your household rules for them. I do request a crate during stays so your pets have a safe space they can feel comfortable in.

“I have been very conflicted on this review. While the lead up was easy enough and Shane was responsive, the actual day of the service was just a bit odd. We were visiting from out of town and needed someone to watch our 5 month old puppy for the day. I confirmed the day before and Shane stated his girlfriend would be there as he was out until 1. No problem. Asked for her name and how I should contact her once we knew exactly what time we’d be there. He gave us her name and told us to just arrive “whenever” that she’d see us on the ring camera. Drop off was easy enough and Allie was super kind. Clear that she loves animals. We never received a follow up from Shane or any pictures or even just a note that the puppy was doing ok. Every pet sitter we’ve ever had has always sent at least 1 photo from the visit. Wasn’t a huge deal, but just interesting. We were going to arrive to pick the puppy up about 40 mins earlier than originally planned so I messaged Shane to let him know. When we got to the house Allie had the puppy ready to go and handed her over to us. Easy enough. Shane was outside. I said hello to him and thanked him. But, he never acknowledged us or said anything. Never even acknowledged the puppy as we were walking by him to pop her in the car. I was conflicted about what rating to give as the puppy seemed well cared for while there. But, the experience was a bit weird.”

About: I’ve loved animals since I was young, always being known to be the person who asks “Can I pet your dog?”. Having grown up living with and partially helping to train my grandparent’s standard poodle puppy at age 9, I knew then that I wanted animals in my life forever. Through the years I’ve done fundraisers for local shelters, looked after and groomed family dogs, given pet care advice, and for the last four years have worked professionally as a kennel attendant. My job has always been a joy to me, and despite its stresses I always tell people that caring for animals is the best job I could ever ask for. I’ve been able to meet and work with pets of all different breeds, sizes, temperaments, and abilities; from blind/deaf dogs, senior dogs, aggressive dogs, puppies/kittens, diabetic dogs and cats, and so many more. About: I have always had a pet dog and ever since I was a teenager, I’d dog-sit for family and neighbors. Since college, I’ve been pet-sitting ajd dog walking on a more professional level. I’ve babysat for a few hours, simply for a walk, but have also watched multiple high energy dogs for up to two weeks. I’ve cared for dogs under a year old and up to 13 years old. I’ve always loved dogs and find them very easy to get along with and care for no matter their size, age, or personality. I have also cared for kittens a few weeks old, senior cats, administering medication orally, grooming them if they have long hair etc. Cats have a very different energy than dogs but I enjoy taking care of them just as much as dogs. I am currently in between jobs so I have a lot of free time to care for other dogs, whether it is a short walk or a multi-hour play date, etc. I always follow whatever guidance I am provided by pet parents. This means if you are only comfortable with your dog on a leash or lead while in your yard, I strictly follow that. If there are specific commands to use, certain behavior to watch out for or discourage, particular toys or activities they enjoy, I always follow what information I am given and am always open and communicate well about any issues or concerns that might arise on my end.

“Kristin exceeded our expectations with her extraordinary care for our rambunctious 1.5 year old GSP, Harvey. Each day we would get several updates with photos/videos which put these new puppy parents’ minds at ease. We were so impressed with the amount of exercise (both physical and mental) that Harvey was getting. Kristin went above and beyond teaching Harvey the fundamentals of the agility course, working on his commands and giving him homemade lick mats and treats. Harvey was genuinely sad to leave Kristin, Mark and Kaia but we know he will be back the next time we take a trip! Thank you for everything!”

From the very beginning, she asked thoughtful questions that made us feel confident and at ease leaving our dog in her care. Right after drop-off, she sent us a message with photos to let us know how our dog was settling in, which was incredibly comforting. Throughout the three days, she kept us updated with pictures and messages, and we could clearly see that our dog was getting plenty of playtime, exercise, good food, and enjoying time with the other dog. When we picked her up, our dog was calm, balanced, and happy—which says everything. We would recommend Haoran anytime. She has a beautiful space with plenty of room for dogs to play, and she took excellent care of our dog while keeping us consistently updated, which we truly appreciated.”

About: I have taken care of family pets for approximately 8 years. I am an avid animal lover and will treat your pet as my own. I’m currently working part time and have plenty of time to play with your fur baby as well as keep to any desired schedules. I have a fenced yard with a friendly dog that will love to keep your fur baby company. I can also crate your dog if that’s preferred.
