“This is our second time with Julie caring for our cat Pixie and will not be our last. She is prompt about getting to our house to feed Pixie and does not simply feed her and rush out the door when she is done. Pixie is an extreme affection sponge and we love that Julie sticks around and cuddles with our little one while we are away. I always feel so guilty when we are gone for more than a day, but knowing Julie is going to be sitting with Pixie and giving her the attention she craves really helps me relax. Julie is also so sweet with Pixie. Pix has a habit of getting under foot and can be very chatty. Julie has the patience of a saint navigating the one cat obstacle course to get through our kitchen while prepping her meals. We are thrilled to have come across Julie on Rover and already have discussed with her our next booking, which will be sudden and unpredictable as we go into the hospital to have our first child. She is so open to when we said "yeah, it will be sometime between this date and this date and could be 2-5 days long and will be a very last second booking". Not only did she respond immediately, but she told us no problem, she will be around and to let her know. Shes the best and we so highly recommend her to take care of the fur babies!”

About: I have always loved dogs. I have one dog at the moment and dog sitting fulfills my need for a second dog. I recently lost my first dog, Peekaboo the Cockapoo, and have been heart broken ever since. I do have an amazing dog Moose (3y/o 40# all American brown dog mix) and I don’t want her to ever feel lonely so hosting dogs or going to walk other dogs has been a great way for her to get personalized one on one attention! I love my dogs so much they bring me so much joy we love to take walks around my beautiful neighborhood 3 to 4 times a day we have space to play and beds to lay on and take naps in the sun, we look forward to getting the chance to meet you all soon ! I work full-time from home with a digital marketing career. I am able to monitor my animals all day. Every day we go for 3 to 4 walks around my mile and a quarter neighborhood block. I have tons of space for your dog to be crated or to nap on their bed or to nap on my bed I am very attentive to my animals needs. I typically know that if an animal is out of sight, then they must be getting into some thing so if I see that they don’t want to be near me, we go for a walk I’m always available for a pet or a cuddle in between my business calls. About: I started my career as an animal rescuer and dog trainer, I am very personable when it comes to taking care of animals. I have taken care of range of animals, from newborns to full grown, from past 15 years and I believe that there’s nothing more rewarding than their love. I also prepare home-made organic food and treats for dogs and cats which are loved by them and appreciated by their parents. I have an expertise with animal behavior and nutrition as well. I like to give dogs a pee break every 3-4 hours. Walking, feeding, exercise and lot of cuddles will be given all throughout the day. At our house, all the dogs are treated as if they are my own babies. Treats are given as permitted by parents. I have spare new blankets and toys for all dogs, unless you bring/prefer your own. Please feel free to ask for anything that’s not mentioned. (shower and grooming can be provided at extra cost) When boarding dogs at my home they will have space to roam around in the house (wooden floor) and I can take them for long/short walks as needed/recommended. I always walk dogs on leash and the duration of walk will be set by the pet parents. I love spoiling my fur guests with toys (with permission). When boarding your pet overnight, I encourage sending them with a blanket with your scent as it makes the separation easy on your fur babies. The environment in my house is nothing but love and we are soft spoken people so there’s no loud noise in the house ever. The surrounding area is very safe and very nature oriented. We have sidewalks which are well maintained year round. And since it’s a gated community, you can feel the ease with your pet security. I have taken care of over five dozen dogs and every dog loved our place. Most even feel sad when they leave.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats before I reached the age of double digits. Bruno was the first cat my family ever got, he was found in the rafters of our garage, he was so small he had to be nursed from a bottle. He won sweetest cat at the local library, and the next year we found Gus in our bushes on me and my twin brothers 6th birthday. We slyly convinced our mom he was a gift from God and we got to keep him! A couple years later, we dropped into the humane society and fell in love with a grey kitten, and of course, my brother and I pulled out our puppy dog eyes, and Junie B Fox Fire came home with us. It was a full house, three cats, two kids, and one mom. Eventually, it was time to convince my mom to get a dog. We ended up falling in love with a golden doodle and we named her Paisley. And finally, my brother and I felt satisfied with our Animal House. Our animals all lived long happy lives. Our three cats all passed away at 20, and Paisley at 16. They were always treated like family. Those 20 so years did not come without their scares. We had a few times the vet told us there was practically no hope, but Im convinced the love our family had for our animals bent reality, and every time, they were okay. Sometimes surgery was needed, other times just hope. But I am proud of the way I was raised to treat animals, and I thank my mom for that. In my 20s I moved in with my now ex fiance, and we got a dog together. An australian shepherd (I will adopt next time!), she was a puppy. We trained her, loved her, and I was her mom. Sprinkled through the years other cats entered our orbit as we took in family cats whose owner had passed. We became another animal house! unfortunately those cats were older so we got them on their ladder parts of life, and so when our apartment had no more cats, we decided it was time for a kitten! Together we raised our kitten Henry, and Aussie Skylo. I was their mom for about 7 years until we broke up, and tragically my ex stole them, and ran away with his mistress. There are no words for the black hole that left behind. It was right after the break up my family simultaneously lost three of our cats and our dog. Yes they lived a long life, but for the first time ever, I had NO animals in my care. I didn't know how empty that could feel! I don't want to make this a sob story, but I want to explain why you are just seeing a kitten in my photos. I moved to FL after the break up, and that is where I found Roary my now cat, who was 5 weeks old dodging cars in the middle of the busiest intersection in Fort Lauderdale. I was the only one on the ground to pick her up, I wasnt ready for a cat, but life did its life thing, and I am so blessed to have her by my side now. I am back in Connecticut, and ready for Rover! I am nurturing, thoughtful, attentive, and not to pat myself on the back.. but I do think I speak fluent animal. I would be so grateful for the opportunity to watch your beloved pet! I am currently free as a bird here in Connecticut. My availability is adaptable as I am in school and a part time substitute teacher. Safety always comes first. In your home, I follow your routine exactly; feeding, meds, and house rules. On walks I double check leashes, hold a tight grip, stay alert to traffic and other dogs, and never let your pet off leash. I'll send photo updates every visit so you always know your animal is safe and happy.

Communication is really important to me, so I make sure to keep owners updated and reach out if anything seems off. My goal is always to provide care that feels seamless and gives both pets and owners peace of mind.

About: Boarding for turtles only 🐢 Turtle boarding is available due to their contained habitat and can be booked under “cat”. It’s limited and offered on a case-by-case basis to ensure proper care. I’ve grown up with both cats and dogs, and caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life. I have two dogs of my own, a yellow 8 year old lab named Odin and Ari, my sassy 4 year old husky shepherd. I’ve also fostered an 8 month old husky named Nala, so I’m comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’m familiar with medication administration, special needs, and senior care, and I genuinely love creating a calm, safe space for your pet to feel seen, comfortable, and cared for. I’m comfortable dispensing oral medications and injections, and I previously worked as a pharmacy technician for eight years, where I prepared IV drips and administered vaccines. Rabbit Care 🐇 In addition to dogs and cats, I also offer care for rabbits and understand the importance of gentle handling, consistent routines, and a calm environment. Rabbit care can be booked under “cat”. I live close by, and i'm available on holidays, weekends, evenings, and early mornings during the week with a twenty four hour notice. I’m also available for emergency drop ins during the week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings, and anytime on the weekend. Since I already balance caring for my own dogs with work and school, welcoming your pet into that rhythm is something I’m very comfortable with. I don’t offer pet boarding with the exception of turtles, but I’m always happy to care for your pets in their own home where they’re most comfortable. I stick to your routine and treat your space with the same respect as my own. I’m mindful about feeding, medications, and safety, and check in with updates so you’re never left wondering how things are going.
