About: I’ve had dogs since I was 13. My husband and I are proud owners of a Chinese Crested Powderpuff and have some flexibility in our schedule. Meet-and-greet is a must – we will only watch small/medium-sized dogs that get along with our pup. We have a soft spot for senior dogs and are used to giving medication on a strict schedule. We live a pretty active lifestyle and frequently take our dog to the park - but we are also happy snuggling on the couch. Safety is key and we will ensure both dogs are cared for. I work from home and am available for pet boarding during the week and weekends. Your dog will hardly be alone - we usually walk our dog every 4-6 hours (3-4 times a day). We live in a home with a small backyard – our dog is not crate trained and is allowed on the furniture. Ideally your pet is potty trained.

About: I recently had to put my 16 year-old blue healer down. He loved to play frisbee and go to the dog park. I have a single-family home with no stairs and a fenced in backyard. Close to a Long Parkway and fairly close to a dog park in Central Park.( note I have hardwood floors throughout my house, which may be challenging for some dogs. And I don’t allow dogs on my furniture) I work from home. I do have to leave fairly frequently for appointments that sometimes take to 3 to 4 hours. In the warmer months, I would typically leave my back door open for your dog to go outside as needed. I typically give dogs, baby carrots as treats. Depending on the health of your dog typically would play fetch/frisbee in my fenced backyard. I have a large tree in the back known for its squirrels, which will give your pup. Plenty of policing work to do. ( ha ha ) respecting your existing dog training, but cuddles and scratches are very common from me.

I work in the emergency management field and know how to work with animals in stressful situations for those that think their pets may be difficult. When I lived in Colorado, I took care of two dogs for an owner who believed one of her dogs was challenging and took time for him to get used to new people (and that was if he liked them in the first place). He and I got along from my first visit. During the first visit, she was surprised that he came and sat next to me after about 15 minutes. I work Monday to Friday from 8 AM - 4:30 PM. I make sure your pets go out before I leave for work and they are my priority once my work day has ended. I am happy to stay at your place if wanted. This can make things easier and less stressful for your pet. I am willing to work with you if there is some other situation you are looking for.
