Useful since two of them don't get along. When we got home the litter was scooped and messes were swept. Incidental messes like hairballs were cleaned up and reported on during her daily write ups. We had a remote camera set up in the living room (we informed her about) and our check ins always showed us how she took care to ensure our local escape artist was shooed from the door with care and safety in mind. About: I have experience with dogs and cats, young and old, easy and "difficult". I am very adept at walking and caring for reactive dogs who can have a hard time with other dogs and/or humans, and do my best to avoid any situations that can trigger reactive behaviors. I'm also happy to help keep up any training routines, I'm pretty proficient in general dog training, but I know it always comes down to the individual dogs for what works best. I often have people remark about their pets who usually don't warm up to new people immediately taking a liking to me! I also have two large cat cages in my home where each of my cats sleep, but if needed, they can sleep in the same cage and the other one can be used to provide your pet some privacy, with their own food and water dishes. I have many many many interactive cat toys so even while i'm working, they can play with the toys that are attached to my desk and walls, along with scratching posts.

About: I own a 7 acre property that is a short drive up Fickle Hill Rd in Arcata! It includes a private trail with access to the community forest and a very large fenced in yard. I have a 1 year old female German Shepherd (Sabine) who is very well trained and LOVES to play with other dogs. I’ve been working with animals my entire life but started officially dog sitting and walking about 10 years ago! I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes and personalities and feel comfortable and confident in my care abilities. Locally I have done in home care both long term and short term. Now that I have this large property I would like to do more of a doggy day care! I am capable of providing training, grooming, as well as daily exercise and enrichment activities! I am free Monday - Thursday every week as I work from home as a ceramic artist. On the weekends (Friday - Sunday) I work as a waitress. I offer care from my home where I have a very large fenced in yard with plenty of space to run around and enjoy the outdoors. As well as a large dog friendly home for those rainy days. All plants and trees on the property are dog safe! I also have a private trail that is connected to the community forest trails where I take Sabine (my dog) for daily walks. About: I've had large dogs since 1997. Currently I have 2 amazing dogs. A 3 legged great burnese, and a 1.2yr old burnese Mt. Dog. They are sweet and wonderful dogs with great manners and are super dog friendly. I also have 2 cats. Rick and Morty. They are a pair. Also very sweet and affectionate once they know you. They are indoor/outdoor 24/7 but avoid dogs. The love of my furry friends reflects who I am. I have 5 acres. This allows my dogs to mostly roam free as they stay close to home. It gives other dogs the opportunity to have a place to run around and play with other good dogs. There are also multiple leads amongst the property, as well as a gated and covered outside area if your pet isn't used to either of those situations. I spend almost all of my days working from home. So other than the occasional errand, I'm home. Otherwise, I exist for you and yours. My pets have water and food at all times. It's under a covered area so they are able to stay in the shade if they like. Otherwise my dogs are free to roam as they generally stay on the property. My property is not fenced. However with this undertaking dogs can be placed in the covered area when needed. They can be leaded if that's what you want. As well they are welcome in the house at any time. Your pets are free to relax anywhere they like. My dogs are very sweet and friendly. My 3 legged dog is not one to get to excited as he only has 3 legs. For the right dogs, my property is a paradise.

I then became a vet tech in 2018 and have loved being able to take care of them medically as well. So unfortunately, I cannot board any pets at my home. I have a remote job, so am flexible with home stays, walks, feeding schedules, and anything else to keep your friend happy. I always first consider the pets' and my safety. In my own home, I have spent the last 4 years helping my cat overcome her traumatic past through patience and routine. I give her lots of treats and mental stimulation, such as finding new items for her to bat around and sit on. We also have chickens, which have a fully fenced backyard so they can roam. I also love spoiling them with watermelon, apples, and mealworms!

About: I am graduating college in May and I love animals and I have house sat a variety of dogs and cats before, and have also taken care of a couple guinea pigs, a bearded dragon, and a pig before. I have owned a dog my whole life and I currently have a dog named Buster who is a 10 year old Jack Russell chihuahua mix who likes to make me carry him while out on a walk. He showed up in a bit of a sorry state but with some visits to the vet, time, and care he has become a happy and playful member of my family. His name is Goosetofur Toast Man, or Goose for short, and I have enjoyed being a cat owner more than I could have imagined! I have been pet sitting since I was in high school and I have watched over 40 different pets. My availability is very open and flexible, I will be available for the majority of the day on most days this summer. I would need to potentially be out for a few hours at a time for things like meetings for a local camp I volunteer at or to run errands. I will enjoy spending time with your pet if they are active and want to go out on long walks or hikes, or if they are a bit of a couch potato I will have a great time curling up with them on the couch. I am observant and care deeply about the wellbeing of the pets I watch and make sure to notify and come up with a plan with owners if I notice any issues with a pet.

Casee has been beyond exceptional at communicating with me about any concerns as well as reporting what happened during their walk together. About: I love taking long walks in the woods, bike riding, and running with pups! If your dog needs a lil extra energy release, (or not) I'm your person. I have no other pets, and will give your dog the attention they deserve. I work in the evenings, so can walk from 10AM-4:00PM WED/THURS/FRI. I always walk anyway, or go for a run, so incorporating a furry friend seems perfect. I have a new(er) pickup truck, that has a plush dog bed in the back for your critter. “Outstanding care, a True Dog whisperer. Sequoia Humane Society hired Mark to care for Browner an d Odie over the Thanksgiving holiday - Two large dogs! Both are known to struggle with other dogs, including each other. I was honestly preparing for this to simply be a safe, calm stay...what we got was something truly incredible. From the very beginning, Mark asked all the right questions about behavior, needs, routines and safety. It was clear he understood these were not "easy" dogs and approach their care with thoughtfulness, patience and professionalism. I encouraged him to try socializing them only if he felt right about an opportunity. To our complete surprise, Brownie and Odie became best friends almost immediately in his care. This is something we have not been able to achieve in a shelter environment and seeing that transformation was nothing short of amazing.
