Both are known to struggle with other dogs, including each other. I was honestly preparing for this to simply be a safe, calm stay...what we got was something truly incredible. From the very beginning, Mark asked all the right questions about behavior, needs, routines and safety. It was clear he understood these were not "easy" dogs and approach their care with thoughtfulness, patience and professionalism. I encouraged him to try socializing them only if he felt right about an opportunity. To our complete surprise, Brownie and Odie became best friends almost immediately in his care. About: I have three pets, two dogs and one cat. I am responsible for feeding them, replacing the pee pads, cleaning up the litter, and walking the dogs. I have had my dogs for over ten years and they have helped me through tough times, and I want to help other dogs who need help whenever the owner is busy. My cat follows me wherever I go and climbs on my shoulders like a parrot, and my dogs come to me when they are scared. I am available every day including holidays (I rather hang out with your pets than be with my family, don't tell them). However, I am a college student. On Mondays, I'll be unavailable from 2:30-8:00 p.m. On Tuesdays, I'll be available by 1:00 p.m. On Wednesdays, I'll be unavailable from 12:30-4:00 p.m. On Thursdays, I'll be unavailable from 10:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. & 6:00-8:00 p.m. From Friday to Sunday, I'm free. About: I grew up on a ranch with dogs, cats, horses, and cattle, and my boyfriend who I live with has had dogs his whole life. We love dogs of all size and ages and hope to adopt more in the future. My first cat I got when I was 15, and I had her for 9 years until her unfortunate passing due to cancer. She will always be in my heart. I am very adept at walking and caring for reactive dogs who can have a hard time with other dogs and/or humans, and do my best to avoid any situations that can trigger reactive behaviors. Sadly 3 of them have passed on at this point, and It's just myself and my 12 yr old husky mix Suki now. I am currently moved out of my parents house so I don’t have any pets in my home but I have a fenced off backyard and is spacious living area if they need to stay overnight that is OK. I have plenty of places to walk right outside of my home. In the clients home I would be able to do any pet care that they may require or want such as walking be brushing. They are indoor/outdoor 24/7 but avoid dogs. The love of my furry friends reflects who I am. I have 5 acres. This allows my dogs to mostly roam free as they stay close to home. There are also multiple leads amongst the property, as well as a gated and covered outside area if your pet isn't used to either of those situations. I spend almost all of my days working from home. So other than the occasional errand, I'm home. Otherwise, I exist for you and yours. My pets have water and food at all times. It's under a covered area so they are able to stay in the shade if they like. Otherwise my dogs are free to roam as they generally stay on the property. My property is not fenced. However with this undertaking dogs can be placed in the covered area when needed. They can be leaded if that's what you want. As well they are welcome in the house at any time. Your pets are free to relax anywhere they like. My dogs are very sweet and friendly. My 3 legged dog is not one to get to excited as he only has 3 legs. For the right dogs, my property is a paradise.
About: Hi, I’m Virgo (formerly Jeremy)! I’ve been dog sitting my friends’ dogs for about 10yrs, and working for a dog trainer for about 2yrs. (My parents tell me I’ve loved dogs my whole life, but I can only partly confirm.) A few things I like about dog sitting is discovering their personalities and learning how to interprete and anticipate their needs. I’m not intimidated by high-energy/high-intelligence dogs either! I prefer to sit in the pet’s home though because I like to keep your pet’s routine and environment familiar to make them most comfortable!

I currently have two dogs of my own and a cat as well. I’ve grown up with all sorts of animals, such a horses, chickens, sled dogs and cats. I would love to continue working with new pets and their owners! I currently have 2 dogs and a cat. I’ve also worked as a kennel tech at a boarding/training facility and then moved on to become a trainer at that same facility. I always recommend crates for any situation but in my own home I would crate all dogs and rotate based on how they all get along. Feeding in the crate or separate from other animals. Daily walks or hikes depending on the animal. Cats would get daily enrichment. If weather doesn’t permit or the animal isn’t able to get that day I’d offer mental enrichment such as lick mats, food puzzles, play, training, etc.

“Outstanding care, a True Dog whisperer. Sequoia Humane Society hired Mark to care for Browner an d Odie over the Thanksgiving holiday - Two large dogs! Both are known to struggle with other dogs, including each other. I was honestly preparing for this to simply be a safe, calm stay...what we got was something truly incredible. From the very beginning, Mark asked all the right questions about behavior, needs, routines and safety. It was clear he understood these were not "easy" dogs and approach their care with thoughtfulness, patience and professionalism.
