About: I’m the lady who crosses the street to ask if I can pet your dog. I love all dogs, but big dogs have my heart. I confess, I’m also the lady that will remember your dog’s name, age and origins, but perhaps not always your name. Although I have the confidence and experience to befriend your big dogs, that shouldn’t suggest that I don’t love our smaller friends, as well. Big and small, I love them all❣️ I’ve been responsible for animals most of my life. Chiefly, I’ve had the privilege to care and own big dogs. Growing up, we had a Sheppard-Mastiff mix, and that’s when my love for big dogs began. In our house, we had a macaw, cockatoo, kākāriki, ring-necked parakeet, and a cockatiel, tropical/ saltwater fish, dogs, and cats. I continue to be a proud breed ambassador and have owned 4 Rottweilers over the years. I’ve been gainfully employed as a civil servant for 25 years. After my last Rottweiler passed away, I wanted to care for a dog again, but haven’t adopted quite yet. I enjoy hiking, outdoor activities, walking and traveling, and of course dogs! I’ve had the privilege to care for our misunderstood and sometimes reactive dog friends, as well. All dogs deserve love. About: I’ve always had dogs and I have yet to met me a dog that didn’t like me. My friends started to notice when I’d come over to their houses, that I’d pay more attention to their dogs, than I would to my friends. If their dog didn’t get a walk that day, I’d offered to take them by myself. I’d always give them extra affection. I would even teach them new tricks. Recently, I’ve had to put my two old dogs down. So I’m now available to spend night away from home. Knowing how much I missed having a dog to love and care for, my friends started asking me to watch their dogs. They trusted wouldn’t just take him out to go to the bathroom, but I would actually care for them and give their dogs the same affection I’d give my own. I work Friday and Saturday 9am-4pm other than that my schedule is wide open. Days I work I let dogs out before and come straight home after work to relieve and take for a walk. I’m available for sleep over or just to get your dog out of the house for a nice long walk. Dogs are just like having kids. They need just as much care and attention. Your home is your comfort zone. I respect people property and when you return home, it will be as if you never left.

About: I grew up in a neighborhood my friends used to call “the farm”. We had 3 dogs, one neighbor had chickens, one neighbor had horses, and another neighbor had goats. Along with various dogs and cats at each house. Because I was the oldest kid in the neighborhood, I was the go-to person anytime a neighbor needed a house sitter or even just needed me to feed their pet dinner since they were out late. When I got older and started driving, I began dog sitting for our large group of friends, taking care of all sizes of dogs, cats, and the occasional reptile. About: Hello, pet parents! 🐾 We live in Sebastopol, CA and visit my dad who is a retired local doctor in Warwick, NY..in October 2026.. I’m Ariel, grew up locally and lived and traveled the world, now happily home. I sometimes come with my daughter, Ella who is a 10 year old cat/animal whisperer, and very occasionally with Swedish husband, Mats (also background checked:). I offer drop-in visits for feeding, cuddle/play time+ for cats and dogs+, and dog walking in Sebastopol. *I also offer overnight pet/house sitting in the Warwick, NY area when I’m visiting family (see my October 2026 calendar), and occasionally in Sonoma county. *A little Rover note: I joined Rover a couple of years ago and was just getting started when a family illness shifted my attention and priorities for quite a while. *I’m now back and happily opening availability again.( I did continue care for animals/animal parents that had already been under my care, outside of Rover, during that time, and I’m looking forward to building my Rover community up, too:). I pay attention to their signals and let them show me what they need. I’m often the person who ends up with a cautious cat or dog coming to sit at my feet—even when they don’t usually approach new people. 😊 I’ve grown up with and cared for animals my whole life, and our family currently includes a much-loved part-ocelot rescue cat. *Your pet’s comfort, safety and happiness are my priority while you’re away. I’m always the primary responsible caregiver. My husband Mats (also on Rover and background - checked) and occasionally our animal-loving cat whispering 10-year-old daughter Ella join me, yet only when you agree and your pets are comfortable with it.
