But I was traveling oversea and was very worried about leaving my little guy in a kennel for that long. A friend suggested I find a dog sitter. About: I have lived with animals (mostly dogs and one cat) my entire life. I started off with taking care of my own dogs and then volunteered at shelters throughout high school and undergraduate school. I have house sat and animal sat for friends and family off and on since 2022. I've watched over a range of animal personalities from very excitable and energetic to reactive and anxious. I also find it very important to maintain grooming, hygiene, and activity/mental stimulation for your pets. I do not have experience with dog training, however, I have successfully trained my own dogs with basic commands. I moved out to the Bay Area 2 years ago to be a full-time PhD student at Palo Alto University. While I do have work and school, I am remote most days in the week (Thursday through Monday), so I can dedicate the time and care your pet needs :) I appreciate having an average schedule including times they go outside, walks, feeding, and hygiene so I can help your pet have as smooth of a transition as possible. I tend to follow your pet's cues and slowly build the trust between us. I love giving them affection while maintaining the training and expectations you have. I like to take pictures and/or videos for you so you can get your daily dose of your pet!

She checked in several times before my departure date to confirm the care instructions and was very communicative with photos and updates while I was away. My apartment had an AC malfunction that occurred during the stay in the midst of a heat wave, and Nicole updated me frequently to let me know the cats were doing ok and being kept cool indoors. About: I’ve been pet sitting for friends, relatives and clients for years. Our house is their pets’ second home when they travel or need us. I can do the same for you, too. During the weekend I am mostly home. Weekdays, I partially work from office and home. There is plenty of time to spend time with your pet or walk them frequently. My husband works from home full time, so there is always one or two adults at home. We live in a single house with a fenced backyard, and there is a big greenbelt right outside our backyard ( see images). Therefore it’s very convenient for frequent walks or play time for your pet. They can also meet other dogs as well. As a family, we are comfortable with being around furry friends. We volunteer with my daughters at a local farm cleaning, caring, patting…. Love it! Our own cat-Zeytin is very calm and friendly. We love to play, walk, cuddle, spend some quiet time with our pet and guest pets and will do the same with yours, too. Dogs get a lot of attention and frequent walks. I would take them for leashed walks around the neighborhood and they can roam around indoors and outside in the fenced patio area. I am familiar with administering oral medications and applying ointments. I have a furminator and can offer bathing. I am available every day of the week including weekends. Dropoff and pickup times are flexible. I have different toys that the dogs can play with. I can follow specific care instructions for your dog. Your dog will be treated like family. I am home with my kids full time so I have a lot of time to spend with your pets. Pets should be good around children. I have a 4 year old and 1 year old and I do not want them to get hurt and I do not want the pets to get stressed out by the children. I have a fenced patio/yard. I have two dogs at home and a cat! One dog is a cattle dog/ German shepherd mix and the other is a frenchie. Trust is a priority so I try to be as transparent as possible. If preferred I am more than happy to stay at the house or can just pop in to check in and hang out with them as well!

About: I’ve taken care of my own Siberian husky for 5 years and have also cared for other clients’ dogs for over 2 years. I’m comfortable with large or highly energetic dogs and understand the importance of patience and consistency. Your dog’s comfort and safety are my top priorities! My schedule is currently very flexible, which allows me to be available for walks, drop-ins, and overnight care throughout the week. Whenever you need me, I’ll be there! I currently do not offer pet boarding in my home, but I’m more than happy to visit clients’ homes for walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, and overnight stays if needed. About: I’ve have been walking and taking care of dogs for the last 5 years now. From puppies to senior dogs that require medication, or stroller walks I am a full time dog sitter/ tutor, so I’ll have time to walk and play with your pooches. I have 3 dogs of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone to make your dog feel safe, happy, & well cared for! I'm active, reliable, and genuinely love spending time with animals. About: I've been taking care of friends cats and dogs for years. Working remotely provides me the ability to house sit and spend quality time to care for my friends and families animals and Rover just seems like a natural fit to help others allow for their pets to stay in their natural environment (their home) when their human's are out of town. I have a special place in my heart for the elderly Fur Babies and have the patience required to care for them as well. I literally have keys to many friends homes, to make it possible to not have to meet prior to their departure. I sit for these friends so often they have told me to keep a key. I am on top of feeding times and restroom breaks, or even walks but I also build friendships with these fur-babies. Watching TV or sitting in the backyard...I pay and love on these amazing pups and cats. I connect with animals very well and quickly, they become a part of my family to some extent, I look forward to sitting for my friends and getting the opportunity to spend time with their family member/s (their cats or dogs). “We booked with Jade because our regular sitter was out of town, but she (and her husband) may become our go to! She did a thorough meet and greet the day after we contacted her, and asked tons of great questions. She walked us through her home and yard so we saw where the pups would be (very uncommon in my experience, so I appreciated it). Their home was neat, nothing extra that the pups would get into potentially. I loved that they (and their beds) came home clean, there was only 1 additional dog (other than their 2 small ones) in their care, and they kept to our pups regular schedule. Jade and her husband take a very professional approach to their care, even though they both work and Rover is not their main gig.
