About: My experience started off with my very own dog when I was a child living in England, I learned from a young age how to take care of a dog and keep them happy. I moved to America 10 years ago and have since been providing dog walking, sitting and general care with several dogs continuously for this whole period. The dogs I have taken care of have ranged from golden doodles, Belgian Malinois and teacup terriers. After 10 years of experience with the same dogs, I am ready to branch out and help you and your dog! I work from home full-time which gives me a lot of flexibility in my available to spend time with your dog and for drop offs and pick ups. Besides an hour at the gym and an hour I walk a dog daily I will be able to provide your dog with all the love and attention they need. I like in apartment with a balcony so if your dog were to be staying at my home it would include having an indoor/outdoor area (the balcony is enclosed), I am also right next to a trail and the bay is less than a mile away so this would be where I would walk your dog. In your home, if you have a routine you would like me to stick to, I’m happy to do so!

About: I am a dog person! Old, young, small, large! No matter the dog I am sure to love and adore them. I do have a 4 year old English Bulldog (M) of my own who is a total couch potato. He’s spent a lot of time around other dogs and does particularly well with puppies and female dogs (he’s a ladies man lol). Growing up neighbors, friends and family were always calling me to care for their fur babies whether they were running home late from work or away for vacation. Some breeds I have sat in the past include: pugs, bulldogs, mastiffs, doodles, bernies, goldens, labs, and austrailian shepherds. I currently work from home 4.5 days a week (Tuesday mornings I am in office), so have a fairly flexible schedule when it comes to tending to your pets needs. Additionally, I am also available for reoccurring pet walking/let outs during lunch and after work. ** At this time I am not able to stay overnight at clients homes, if you are interested in having me do multiple drop in visits to your home throughout the day reach out and I will charge you my overnight price While you are away my goal is to allow your pet to stay on their normal routine as much as possible. Whether that be going for long walks, playing outside, or extra long belly rubs I want to make sure your pet is getting the love and care they are used to.

About: I believe that a happy dog in the home is essential and a precursor to a happy life overall, and I strive to bring the same attentiveness and care that I share with my own pup to any pets I have the privilege of taking care of through my services on Rover. When we meet the basic needs of our precious companions throughout the day, we have more freedom to bond with them, and them with us, and that’s where I come in! I want to help you meet your home pet care needs and goals so you can feel confident that when you come home after a busy day, you are coming home to a dog or a cat that is happy and well taken care of. I want to ensure that your pet’s routines stay intact, that they get plenty of exercise when needed, that they stay safe, and it is a joy to me to provide that service! I work from home, and my day is already built around caring for a dog. Morning walk first thing, breakfast, play, a walk around 5:30 for dinner, evening walk before bed, with attention and rest woven in between. I follow instructions exactly, keep your pet's routine intact, send photo updates, and treat your home and your dog's space the way I'd want someone to treat mine. On walks, I match the pace to the dog, calm dogs get a relaxed walk, energetic ones we stay moving, and I stay attentive to reactivity triggers and adjust accordingly.

Thank you Janna, we hope to keep you around! :)”

Perfect for high energy dogs - Moreno Mission
Prices are estimates per day for 1 dog. Pricing may vary based on your search and includes a booking fee of 11%.

About: I’ve basically grown up in a zoo! My family has always had animals around— multiple dogs, birds, turtles, fish, a cat, and at one point even 13 guinea pigs. Because of that, I’ve spent my whole life caring for animals and am very comfortable around pets with different personalities and needs. Dogs have always been my favorite. When I was a kid, my sisters and I even started our own little “doggy daycare” for neighborhood dogs, which was honestly one of the highlights of my childhood. Today, my family has three dogs, and I love spending time with them whenever I’m home. Since I’m now living in San Diego and my family is in Los Angeles, I don’t get to see them as often as I’d like. Rover gives me the chance to spend time with dogs, help pet owners in the community, and do something I genuinely enjoy. I understand how much pets mean to their families, and I’ll treat your dog with the same care and attention I would give my own family pets. Just graduated from USD, so I have lots of availability and free time to be with your pup pretty much every hour of the day! I live in an apartment with no pets, but plenty of pet friendly furniture! I would frequently take the dogs out on neighborhoods walks, out to the park, or even the beach depending on the dog and owner preferences! I also live less than a block away from the Humane Society, in case of an emergency!
“Brian is the best! We are so lucky to have found him. He’s very sweet with our dog and we appreciate his kind heart and flexibility with our schedule and our lil guy Max. Wonderful sitter”

“Xochitl did an amazing job with our two pugs! Pugs are needy and she handled them brilliantly. She was patient and understanding even though they were more to handle than her usual dogs. I will book with her again, if she'll have us!”

“LeeAnn and her tiny hotdog doggie took great care of my dog while I was visiting San Diego for a concert! She sent me pics of them playing and they took him for a walk and when I picked him up for the night he was so pooped he fell right asleep. Thanks so much for the updates and pics and great care!”

About: I’ve cared for both dogs and cats and I’m patient with seniors and shy pets. I can follow detailed routines, including medication reminders, slow walks, and gentle handling. I’m very careful about doors/leashes, keep things clean, and I’ll send regular photo updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I’m currently working part time so I have a lot of time to spend and take care of pets. It makes my life more enjoyable Safety and trust come first for me. I follow your pet’s routine closely, keep doors and gates secure, and use leash control on every walk. I keep feeding/litter areas clean, avoid unsafe foods, and send photo updates so you always know your pet is safe and comfortable.
About: I've cared for dogs of all kinds for over 15 years. I've owned both high energy Aussies and small more needy chihuahuas and shih tzus, and also have fostered multiple dogs - from an older pitbull to a stubborn chow. I am able to accommodate any special needs your dog may have. Love to go on walks, give baths, and give lots of attention! I have experience with all types of Rover care (boarding, house sitting, dog walking, etc). I work remotely, so I am available for full time care. When I have to leave the house, I am usually only gone for 1-4 hours at a time. I primarily care for Rover dogs, but my husband helps out too when needed! We are both available for meet and greets. For house sitting, I am fully available to watch over your home and pup, and my husband takes care of our dog back home. I live with my husband in a two-story townhome in Linda Vista. We have plenty of space inside, plus a couple balconies and a patio with high walls that are great for doggie sunbathing. The neighborhood is very quiet and we have an end unit away from the street. Whether at my home or yours, I am happy to match your specific rules and routines when it comes to walking schedule, getting on furniture, feeding or training routines, crating, etc. We have one other dog in our home: our chow chow, Baozer. Baozer is 1yo and 60lbs, and while he is fine with other dogs once they get used to each other, he can come on strong and intimidate other dogs, especially small ones. He does best with large, friendly dogs. We always take time for the dogs to get used to each other slowly. Baozer likes to play, if he finds a friend, but 95% of his time is spent sleeping and leaving other dogs alone. We have gates within the house and are happy to keep the dogs separate throughout the stay, if necessary. We've dogsat large alpha dogs like german shepherds with Bao around, with no issues.
“Maria was very accommodating when we were running late to drop off. She took great care in watching our pup. Sent updates and did a great job fo last minute booking. Would recommend to others in need of sitter.”

“Laryssa took excellent care of our two older lady-pups. She was very sweet and attentive with the dogs and kept me updated throughout the day. I had a couple changes with my work schedule and she was very flexible and supportive of changing drop-off/ pick-up times. Thank you!!”

About: I have loved animals all my life and would take care of yours as if they were my own! I have had 4 dogs throughout my life, 3 were raised from puppies and 1 was a 2-year old rescue who is now 12 years old (and lives with my sister). I will follow all instructions given regarding food and medications. I allow pets on my couch and bed, but if you prefer them not to, just let me know! I live by myself in a two-level townhome with a small fenced-in yard. It's a great neighborhood for walks and also right next to the entrance to Tecolote Canyon Trailhead if your dog likes a more adventurous walk/run, I am always up for taking them there! Beginning in mid-August, I will be working from home so my schedule is very flexible during weekdays and weekends. Please advise if your pet is friendly with other dogs or if you prefer that they are the only pet in the household. I have a neat and clean home that is free of clutter so no need to worry about them getting into anything they shouldn't get into. I have a small fenced-in backyard. There's no grass, but some pets like to sunbathe on the patio area.

“My precious PugZ took an immediate liking to Rachelle. She sent plenty of pictures and updates. I’d definitely have Rachelle care for PugZ again and highly recommend her services”

“I couldn't be more pleased with the exceptional care and service I've received from Derek . Leaving my beloved dog in his care has been an absolute game-changer for me. Not only does he watch over my furry friend diligently throughout the day, but his own friendly dog provides endless companionship and playtime, which my dog adores. What truly sets Derek apart is his commitment to communication; he keeps me updated regularly with photos and messages, which offers tremendous peace of mind. I can see firsthand that my dog is not only well taken care of but also having a blast. It's evident that Derek is not just doing a job; he genuinely loves and cares for the dogs he watches. I wholeheartedly recommend his services to any pet owner who wants the absolute best for their furry family members.”

“Incredible care! I was traveling to town for school and she was not only available at the last minute, but very responsive and communicative. Very good with my girl Nala. And very reliable. Will absolutely book again!”

About: Growing up I had a chocolate lab and three doodles which formed my love for dogs. Dog sitting for neighbors was my very first job and have experience watching dogs for friends and family throughout my life. From high energy trouble makers to chill doodles I have plenty of experience and love for all types of dogs. I work remotely and spend most of my days in my office in my two bedroom apartment. I live alone and typically only leave during weekdays for the gym, grocery shopping and farmers markets as part of my daily routine. I am active and love to go on jogs to the beach to balance out the time I spend in front of screens. On weekends I like to go to coffee shops, golf, and occasionally get out of the city for a nature adventure. Dog sitting fits well into my chill routine. I’ve always wanted a dog of my own, but unfortunately I chose a career in sales after college. For several years I was lucky to have a roommate with a fluffy doodle who I loved and often took care of whenever he wasn’t around, but he has moved out. The frequent travel has held me back from getting my own and dog sitting when I’m home is my solution to getting that dog love missing in my life. I am happy to take care of all different types of dogs. If they are chill and just need love and attention, that works. If they need tons of walking and action, even better. I’ll be sending plenty of pics of your dog and me having a blast doing whatever it is you recommend they like to do. My apartment has hardwood floors, two balconies, is 1224 square feet, and plenty of large windows which dogs love to stare out of. I also have a giant dog bed my roommate left behind that I kept for pet sitting. There are doggie bags included right outside my apartment and the neighborhood (Dylan Point Loma) is very dog friendly. Convenient to take a walk at any time right from the apartment around Point Loma.
“Janet is such a wonderful dog sitter! She is experienced with small dogs and small dog care (which is not always easy to find). My small young playful Pomeranian loved her and I could tell she felt at home and comfortable in Janet’s home. She is a great communicator, provided picture updates, updated the app details, and was on point with my dog’s care. The surrounding area around her apt is dog friendly and safe. I recommend her and look forward to using her services again.”

About: I have multiple years of experience walking, pet-sitting, and house-sitting dogs and cats. I grew up doing some obedience training with my own dogs, and have taken care of dogs of all ages, from the biting and energetic puppies to the slow and soulful older doggos. As a college graduate enjoying the summer, I have plenty of time to play with, walk or pet sit the furry members of your family. I am available most weekdays, and can be available for weekends if requested ahead of time. I know how important it is for pets to feel safe and at home with new people and in new environments. Because of this I do my best to cater to the needs of each animal. Have a puppy with high energy? We will go on walks and play tug until they can’t keep their eyes open. Have an older cat with an attitude? No worries, I will be around to make sure they have food and water but not intrude too much. Every animal is different and I can provide a happy experience for any pet that is away from their family.

“Fantastic communication and my pups loved their long walks. She was able to handle both dogs with my one stubborn pup being reactive. I can’t thank Marina enough!”

About: I have been around animals my whole life and have a genuine love for them! I would love to work with all dogs, giving seniors extra time and comfort and keeping energetic dogs active and engaged. My goal is to make sure both the pets and the parents are comfortable and happy! Tuesdays I am free from 1-3pm, Thursdays I am free until 3pm, Fridays and Saturdays I am free all day, and Sundays I am free until 5pm. I will be able to care for your fur baby in your home. When house sitting, I will make sure your pet is always safe.

About: I’ve been a dog lover my entire life and grew up always having a pup by my side. I’m a local teacher, and while I love my students, I’m looking to spend my evenings, weekends, and Summer 2026 having some fun with your furry friends! Why choose me? Lifelong Experience: I’m comfortable with all ages and sizes, from energetic puppies to sweet seniors. Teacher Reliability: I’m organized, great at following specific care instructions, and a pro at keeping a schedule. Safety First: I’ll treat your dog like a member of my own family—with lots of patience and attention. My availability is very consistent during the school year. I am free for late afternoon and evening visits (after 4 PM) as well as all day on weekends. Once summer break kicks off in June, I’m fully open 24/7 through August for walks, boarding, and housesitting. Well I have some travel plans this summer, my calendar is always kept strictly up-to-date- if I’m showing as available, I’m 100% ready to give your pup my full attention! I do not have a yard in my own home, however, we would go on plenty of walks and make sure we’re getting some good outside exercise, if needed.

About: What sets me apart is the level of love, attention, and calm energy I give every dog in my care. I genuinely connect with animals and treat them like family, not just a booking. I’m very patient, intuitive, and attentive to each dog’s personality and needs — whether they’re playful, anxious, shy, energetic, or older and needing a gentler pace. I also understand how important communication and trust are for pet parents, so I make sure owners feel comfortable and updated while they’re away. I’m especially good with small dogs, seniors, and pets that need extra comfort, consistency, or reassurance. My goal is always to create a safe, peaceful, loving environment where dogs feel happy and cared for. I'm working part time, so Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give dogs plenty of attention, walks, playtime, cuddles, and consistent care throughout the day. I’m very mindful about keeping pets on their normal routines so they feel comfortable, relaxed, and secure while their owners are away. I provide a calm, loving environment where pets can feel comfortable, safe, and part of the family. I have a secure fenced yard for supervised play and fresh air, and when I’m home, I keep the back door open so dogs can freely go in and out as they please. I love letting pets relax naturally and feel at ease instead of confined or stressed. I’m also a musician, so don’t be surprised if your pup gets serenaded with a little singing and extra affection while they’re here! Music and calm energy can be incredibly soothing for animals, and I truly enjoy creating a peaceful, comforting atmosphere for them. I pay close attention to each pet’s routine, personality, and comfort level, whether that means playtime, walks, cuddles, quiet time, or extra reassurance. In a client’s home, I make sure pets stay on their normal routine and feel secure in their familiar space while keeping owners updated and giving their pets lots of love and attention.
“Very grateful to have found Catherine. She did an excellent job walking my 2 dogs who have different needs. Highly recommended in all ways - communication, trustworthiness, reliability, etc.”

I’m comfortable with pets of all ages, including puppies, kittens, and seniors, and I always prioritize each animal’s comfort, safety, and routine. I just finished up my internship and so I am looking to fill my time between jobs caring for dogs and cats in my community! About: I am very responsible, caring, and I work remotely as a Language Tutor. I have cared for family and friend's pets before and I love dogs and cats. My husband and I have 2 husky girls at home, both rescues, we adore them! One of our girls is a senior, and the other one is a young pup, I can adapt to different types of dogs and provide what they need. I have experience caring in different settings, for kids, pets, and houses. I am currently working as a remote language tutor, my schedule is very flexible and I have a lot of free time to care for your pet and keep him/her company at your house. I would bring my laptop and take your dog on walks or spend time with your cat inside your house :) I know how important it is to make sure they feel safe and accompanied. I can follow your safety instructions, having 2 dogs myself, and having used Rover as a pet parent, I am very aware of how important little details regarding our pets are, to avoid any incident or inconvenience.
About: I’ve grown up with my childhood dog for the past 15 years. She is quite honestly the light of my life and brings me so much joy. I have a very flexible work schedule which will allow me to spend time with your animal at whatever time is best for them! I am new to San Diego and see this as an opportunity to get to know the area better! I am home for most of the day, which means I am available to your animal whenever they need it. Depending on their routine, we can walk as often as every hour or a couple times a day.

“Our Koda had another fantastic overnight stay with Sarah, Taylor and Mango! He was thrilled to be with all of them and loved all his playtime, walks and love that he received. What a joy to know he was cared for with the best sitters. We look forward to using Sarah and Taylor’s service again.”

“William, his wife, and their dog Roux were the PERFECT dog sitters for my girl Emma! I was instantly comfortable with them during the meet-and-greet. Emma was also immediately comfortable in their home. They were very focused on making sure they had all the information needed to make Emma's stay with them a positive experience. Emma and Roux became quick friends. During the four days I was away, I received multiple text messages and photos of Emma doing well in their home. I will DEFINITELY hire them again for future trips.”

“He’s great! My dog Nova loved it there and looked so happy in all the pictures he sent. He played with her and even gave her some training. Was very responsive and very understanding.”

“Yankee had an amazing time with Caroline! Both Caroline and her partner took care yankee as if he was one of their own. They sent daily pictures and updates and made me feel very comfortable with leaving my pup in their home. Lots of play time and walks!! They are for sure my number one choice and will use them in the future!!”

“Lemon had the best time staying with Mari while I was away! I had total peace of mind knowing she was being cared for by someone who treated her like her own. Mari sent lots of pictures and videos throughout her five day stay, which I really appreciated. I will definitely be using her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter! 🐾”

“Outstanding pet sitter. Kept us updated at all times on our baby’s status. Huge plus was her prior experience with bully breeds and their various, mysterious ways. Felt comfortable right away after leaving her behind. Jocy is super detail oriented and very attentive to all doggie needs. We would absolutely book her again. 100% recommend. Thanks Jocy!”

About: I’ve had a dog in my home since I was 3. I’ve taken care of pups at all ages and all stages, I will love yours like I love mine. I believe they all deserve the best in life! I work from home so with them all day and close to a park for plenty of walks and outside time. I also have a dog who loves having guests and friends visit! I have a fairly spacious apartment and allow dogs to be on furniture and sleep with me and my pup. If you prefer crate I can accolade that as well!
“Tyler & Joseph were wonderful. They took great care of my senior dog who is blind and has diabetes. They gave me daily updates on how things were going. I was able to full enjoy my vacation and put my worries at ease knowing my baby was in good hands.”

“Alexis was amazing! Mocha had a great stay with her. The updates 3 times a day were great, and I always felt like Mocha was well cared for during her booking with Alexis. When I picked mocha up, she was happy to see me, but sad to leave. I will be booking again in the future! Thank you!!!!”

“Pam was great with our dog Bentley! She was easy to communicate with from day one, clearly a dog lover, and kept us updated on how he was doing. It was a bonus for me that Bentley got to spend time with her dog Xotchil and they went to a dog park daily. I would highly recommend Pam to others and I’m sure we’ll use her in the future again.”

“Samantha and her girls took excellent care of my dog. She was extremely responsive and attentive to even the small details that made my pup comfortable. Will definitely book with her again.”

“Sam was very nice! He seemed like a very kind and genuine person. He was very good at sending multiple daily updates on how my pooches were doing, and he was very good at organizing pick up and drop off times. When dropping off my dogs we saw that he was very serious and organized in his process of dog sitting with our dogs meeting his dogs, and his dogs seemed very calm when sniffing at our dogs. It was nice that he had extra large dog crates so we didn't have to worry about bringing ours with us. It was clear to see in the pictures he sent us that our dogs were having a great and fun doggie vacation! Next time we are visiting San Diego from Los Angeles I will definitely look to book Sam again!”
