“We are so thankful to Xochitl for taking such amazing care of Fluffy during his 5-day boarding stay while we were out of town. Knowing Fluffy was in such loving, patient, and trustworthy hands gave us so much peace of mind. Xochitl treated him like family, making sure he was comfortable, happy, and well cared for every day. Fluffy also had so much fun playing with the other puppies, which made his stay even more enjoyable. When we came back, he was relaxed, healthy, and clearly happy, showing how much he enjoyed his time with her. We truly appreciate the love and attention she gave him and highly recommend Xochitl to anyone looking for a dependable and caring pet sitter!”

“Ana is my go-to sitter in San Diego! My dog gets anxious away from home and Ana created a calm and welcoming environment. He’s also a picky eater but takes oral medication everyday. Ana was able to ensure he was taking his meds. It was such a relief having someone so wonderful and attentive watching him while I was away. I also appreciated all the communication—lots of photos and texts describing daily walks and activities and anything that was out of the normal. Can’t recommend Ana enough!”

“Araceli was great with my two corgis. She kept me updated throughout my time away with pictures and videos. My doggos had the best time and I plan to rebook with her the next time I need a sitter.”
“Mariana took great care of our dog while we were out of town. She was flexible and happily coordinated a complicated pickup and drop-off, making the process stress-free for us. Her communication was clear, she was easy to work with, and everything went smoothly. We really appreciate her help!”

“Michelle provided an amazing stay for our pup while we were out for a week. She was quick to respond, extremely flexible and provided great updates. If you’re looking for a dog sitter I highly recommend using Michelle’s services.”

“We had a great experience. I came by and met LeeAnn about a week before Jax’s stay so he could get to know her and the house. The drop off and pick up was easy. Jax was happy there. Leeann was extremely nice.”

“Jocy was amazing with our pup, Bella. We had a great little meet and greet and she made sure our girl was right at home. She sent us notes to clarify her needs before the stay and she sent lots of photos and updates throughout the stay. We would recommend Jocy to anyone!”

“I cannot say enough good things about Taylor & Sarah. They exceed all communication expectations and it was beyond evident in the photos they sent that our dog felt super comfortable and happy with them and Mango. As a rover sitter myself, I know what goes into caring for others dogs - we are so appreciative of their level of care, and they made us feel beyond comfortable while we were away :)”

“Maya enjoyed her stay once again! Thanks for taking such great care of her and sending fun updates of her day while we were out of town. She can’t wait for her next visit!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who works from home, so your pet will have my full attention all day long. I currently have a cat and a 15 year old senior dog, so I truly understand the bond we have with our older furry friends. Since I care for a senior dog myself, I’m very comfortable with medical needs. I can easily handle: Injections (like insulin) and any oral medications. Special diets and strict feeding schedules. Senior care for pets who need a slower pace and extra patience. Because I’m home 24/7, I can provide constant companionship and as many potty breaks as needed. Your pet will be treated like family here I work from home full-time, which means I have a very flexible schedule. Your pet will have my companionship 24/7, with constant supervision and as many potty breaks or walks as they need throughout the day A typical day includes lots of cuddles, mental stimulation, and fun games. We will explore the nearby park and enjoy long walks. Since I’m always home, I can strictly follow any feeding or medication schedules your pet requires

“I cannot say enough great things about David, his home, his care. Daisy can be clingy and can struggle with being away from her mom's, but she thrived with Dave! Best part was he was able to spend the bulk of his time with them, so I feel this really helped Daisy adjust. Next time we travel, Dave will be our go-to!!”

“Wendy was so so helpful in so many ways I can’t even recommend her enough! I always know my guy was cared for and she is incredibly reliable, communicative, and attentive to an older dog’s needs! Thank you, Wendy!”

“Caroline was Amazing! Sent photos of my dog very frequently and once I got him back he was super tired that he knocks out from running around all day and playing with rudder! Would definitely recommend to any dog owner that is questionable on leaving their dog with someone!”

“Latisha is absolutely the best—she has been a wonderful pet sitter for my kitty Mango and I can’t recommend her enough. Your fur baby will be in great hands with her, she takes pride in her job and loves what she does. We have only had positive experiences with her and checks off all the boxes you want in a pet sitter: detail oriented, communicative, patient with your animal, follows instructions thoroughly, leaves the apartment spotless, and is a wonderful person. Her calm demeanor and personality is also a huge plus with highly anxious cats! :)”

“Michael and his boys did a wonderful job taking care of our cats for us. He went above and beyond in looking after everything while we were gone. Trustworthy, dependable, punctual, and professional!”

About: My whole life I've been around cats, such curious and beautiful animals! They have always been drawn to me, even the most cautious. Kitty cuddles and play time are important when you're away. I can't wait to meet your lil furry family member!

About: I've taken care of multiple friends' house cats for up to 1 week at a time over the last 5 years. I connect well with all animals, and have never met a cat that didn't eventually warm up to me!

“5/5 We love her. We, being myself and Smudge the kitty. Janna is great with the drop-ins and I can see that Smudge is genuinely happy to see Janna pop in with every visit. One of my favorite things about the Rover concept is the photos. I know Smudge looks forward to the extra time hanging outside with a friendly and trusting face when I am away at work. Thank you Janna, we hope to keep you around! :)”

About: What sets me apart is my hands-on experience caring for cats of all ages. I have many friends with cats that I regularly help care for, and during college I fostered a mom cat and her six kittens. That experience taught me how to be patient, attentive, and comfortable caring for both young kittens and adult cats. I strive to make every cat feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owner is away.

“Jenna was very responsive and fulfilled my requests fully. My cat looked very happy in the pictures she sent during her visits. I was new to Rover, and Jenna's positivity and care put my mind at ease. I'll be requesting her services again!”

“Great experience. Evelyn communicated well and promptly. She came at the times I asked which helps my cat stay on a schedule to reduce her anxiety. I had a happy cat when I came home!”
“Teresa was great with my 3 year old cat! He is usually very shy and scared in new places but he loved her company and when I went to pick him up he didn’t seem like he wanted to leave, he was so calm. Highly recommend her! She’s kind in person and to pets :)”

Perfect for high energy dogs - Moreno Mission
Prices are estimates per day for 1 dog. Pricing may vary based on your search and includes a booking fee of 11%.

About: I’ve basically grown up in a zoo! My family has always had animals around— multiple dogs, birds, turtles, fish, a cat, and at one point even 13 guinea pigs. Because of that, I’ve spent my whole life caring for animals and am very comfortable around pets with different personalities and needs. Dogs have always been my favorite. When I was a kid, my sisters and I even started our own little “doggy daycare” for neighborhood dogs, which was honestly one of the highlights of my childhood. Today, my family has three dogs, and I love spending time with them whenever I’m home. Since I’m now living in San Diego and my family is in Los Angeles, I don’t get to see them as often as I’d like. Rover gives me the chance to spend time with dogs, help pet owners in the community, and do something I genuinely enjoy. I understand how much pets mean to their families, and I’ll treat your dog with the same care and attention I would give my own family pets. Just graduated from USD, so I have lots of availability and free time to be with your pup pretty much every hour of the day! I live in an apartment with no pets, but plenty of pet friendly furniture! I would frequently take the dogs out on neighborhoods walks, out to the park, or even the beach depending on the dog and owner preferences! I also live less than a block away from the Humane Society, in case of an emergency!

“I have a very anxious dog. Lately he has developed anxiety around new people and new places and will not eat for days. I am so happy I found LeeAnn. He was there for a daycare. And he had blast. He played with her dogs like crazy, he was so relaxed that he slept on her bed with all four up, and most importantly he ate without a fuss. I am so glad I found her. She kept me updated all the time from the moment he was checked in till the end. Regular picture and crazy fun videos. I would recommend her in a heartbeat. She is wonderful and very confident. She handled my pup very nicely. Thank you again for taking care of him.”
“Xochitl did an amazing job with our two pugs! Pugs are needy and she handled them brilliantly. She was patient and understanding even though they were more to handle than her usual dogs. I will book with her again, if she'll have us!”

About: I've cared for dogs of all kinds for over 15 years. I've owned both high energy Aussies and small more needy chihuahuas and shih tzus, and also have fostered multiple dogs - from an older pitbull to a stubborn chow. I am able to accommodate any special needs your dog may have. Love to go on walks, give baths, and give lots of attention! I have experience with all types of Rover care (boarding, house sitting, dog walking, etc). I work remotely, so I am available for full time care. When I have to leave the house, I am usually only gone for 1-4 hours at a time. I primarily care for Rover dogs, but my husband helps out too when needed! We are both available for meet and greets. For house sitting, I am fully available to watch over your home and pup, and my husband takes care of our dog back home. I live with my husband in a two-story townhome in Linda Vista. We have plenty of space inside, plus a couple balconies and a patio with high walls that are great for doggie sunbathing. The neighborhood is very quiet and we have an end unit away from the street. Whether at my home or yours, I am happy to match your specific rules and routines when it comes to walking schedule, getting on furniture, feeding or training routines, crating, etc. We have one other dog in our home: our chow chow, Baozer. Baozer is 1yo and 60lbs, and while he is fine with other dogs once they get used to each other, he can come on strong and intimidate other dogs, especially small ones. He does best with large, friendly dogs. We always take time for the dogs to get used to each other slowly. Baozer likes to play, if he finds a friend, but 95% of his time is spent sleeping and leaving other dogs alone. We have gates within the house and are happy to keep the dogs separate throughout the stay, if necessary. We've dogsat large alpha dogs like german shepherds with Bao around, with no issues.
“Maria was very accommodating when we were running late to drop off. She took great care in watching our pup. Sent updates and did a great job fo last minute booking. Would recommend to others in need of sitter.”

About: I have owned and cared for dogs for more than 35 years, including Cocker Spaniels, Bulldogs, and Jack Russells. This has given me experience with different personalities, energy levels, and care needs. I provide a calm, dependable home, am available throughout the day, and have a secure fenced yard where dogs can safely play and relax. I am home throughout the day, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have plenty of time for regular walks, playtime, feeding, bathroom breaks, attention, and quiet time. I can also follow each dog’s normal schedule to help them feel comfortable and settled. Pets in my home are cared for in a calm, secure environment with a fully fenced yard and plenty of supervision. I follow each owner’s instructions for feeding, walks, medication, and routines. Our children are experienced around dogs and understand the importance of treating them gently and respectfully. In a client’s home, I respect their space and keep their pet’s routine as consistent as possible.
“Anne and her family were wonderful right off the bat ! I immediately felt comfortable and safe leaving our new puppy with her ! She was always quick to respond with my questions before and during my puppy’s visit! We will definitely reach out again !”

About: A lifelong dog lover with years of experience, especially caring for senior pups. While I specialize in small dogs, I also enjoy looking after cats and medium breeds. I provide a calm, clean, and safe environment where your pet will receive plenty of attention and care by keeping my home clutter free and boarding one pet at a time.

Since the first time watching Chloe she has showed so much patience and consideration for Chloe’s situation being her first time away from me! I was so nervous about leaving Chloe with a sitter but now I get to go to work knowing she is safe every time ! 10/10 recommend Tiffany to everyone if you’re looking for someone that knows how to communicate and really care for our little fur babies 💕”

If I’m caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with respect and maintain your dog’s usual schedule for feeding, walking, and play. I keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel confident your pet is well cared for even when you’re away.
“Shaghayegh is absolutely fantastic! She treated my dog, like one of her own, sending regular updates with photos and always making sure he was well-exercised and happy. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such loving care, and will definitely be using her again for future pet sitting needs.”

“My precious PugZ took an immediate liking to Rachelle. She sent plenty of pictures and updates. I’d definitely have Rachelle care for PugZ again and highly recommend her services”

About: Having grown up in a family that has always had dogs, I’m a natural dog person. Whether it’s going on walks, caring for them, or playing fetch, I love everything about being around dogs. As a current graduate student at the University of San Diego, my class schedule gives me flexibility to care for your pets throughout the week and weekend! I currently have classes and internship that take up 3 days per week for me (Sunday-Tuesday). The rest of the days of the week are open for me, which gives me a lot of availability to fit into your pet’s schedule! I have reliable transportation (car) to travel to your pet for check ins and/or walks. I also make it a priority to stick to their normal routine so that they feel comfortable in my care, as well as follow any rules that you have in place.
“Very grateful to have found Catherine. She did an excellent job walking my 2 dogs who have different needs. Highly recommended in all ways - communication, trustworthiness, reliability, etc.”

About: I’ve spent my entire adult life caring for animals in a professional setting. I managed at PetSmart for over three years and worked with dogs of all breeds and sizes. I’m trained in animal medical response for multiple species and take pride in keeping every pet safe, comfortable, and happy. Pet care is a central part of my daily routine. I structure my schedule around the pets I’m caring for to ensure they receive consistent attention, exercise, and supervision. I have two dogs and maintain a fish tank of my own, so daily animal care is already part of my life. This experience allows me to seamlessly integrate clients’ pets into a well-established, responsible routine. I live in an apartment, so my furry friends have a designated potty area on my balcony, just in case. However, I take them on two walks a day, and about four times a week, they enjoy a beach trip to Fiesta Island.
“Lynn is a great dog walker and caregiver! She walks my boys on a regular basis and kept them at her house for a few days. The boys love Lynn and I trust her to take great care of them. Would recommend her to all dog lovers!”

“Maddy did great with my dog. He is high anxiety and she made sure to follow all instructions and give him the care and time he needs. I will definitely book again!”

About: What sets me apart is that I provide calm, attentive, and reliable care and really focus on keeping pets comfortable and on their normal routine. I have 4 years of hands on experience caring for my own cat daily, including feeding schedules, litter care, grooming, and noticing small changes in behavior or health early. I’m also comfortable caring for dogs and understand the importance of consistency with walks, feeding, and attention. While I don’t specialize in formal training or senior specific care yet, I’m very patient, observant, and good at following detailed instructions from owners to make sure each pet’s individual needs are met. I treat every pet like my own and prioritize safety, communication, and making sure owners feel confident while they’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I already structure my day around caring for my own cat. Each day includes feeding, refreshing water, cleaning the litter box, and spending time playing and checking in on his behavior. These tasks are consistent habits for me, not something I have to plan around. On a weekly basis, I also do deeper cleaning like fully changing the litter, cleaning food and water bowls thoroughly, and making sure all pet areas stay sanitary and organized. I’m used to being consistent and reliable with routines, so I can easily adjust my schedule to include pet sitting visits, walks, or check-ins as needed. In my home, I care for pets by keeping a consistent daily routine that includes feeding on schedule, fresh water, litter box cleaning, playtime, and monitoring their behavior and health. I focus on keeping a clean, calm environment and making sure my cat feels safe, comfortable, and stimulated. In a client’s home, I would follow their instructions closely and maintain the pet’s normal routine as much as possible. This includes feeding, walking dogs if needed, refreshing water, cleaning up after them, and providing attention and companionship so they feel comfortable while their owner is away. I’m very respectful of people’s homes and make sure everything is left clean and as I found it.
“Emily was great with my dog! She took him for a walk and updated me with photos. She had great communication from the time I booked her and overall very happy! 10/10 recommend.”

“Rosalinda is an incredible dog walker and has been so great with our energetic 9 month old golden retriever. She is responsive, friendly, and keeps us updated on how walks go. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi, my name is Garrett. I’ve been caring for dogs of all sizes since I was ten. I spent eight years walking my late Bullmastiff, and I currently look after our French Bulldog. I’m currently a second year student at the University of San Diego with classes Monday–Thursday, but I have a pretty flexible schedule. Tuesdays I’m available from 9:05 AM to 5:30 PM, and on Thursdays I’m free anytime after 9:05 AM. On Mondays and Wednesdays I have more limited availability due to classes, but I may still be able to fit in walks depending on the time. I’m happy to work with owners to find times that fit both of our schedules! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and stick to their normal routine. I carefully follow any instructions provided by the owner, including feeding schedules, walk routes, and any special care needs. I always make sure pets are secure on walks, keep a close eye on their behavior, and prioritize their safety at all times. I also respect clients’ homes by keeping everything clean and exactly as I found it. My goal is to make pets feel relaxed and cared for while giving owners peace of mind.
“My pup Oliver and I adore Sophia! She is so kind, caring, and loving and is so easy to work with! She is reliable, responsible and I know Ollie’s in the best care. He’s not the easiest dog but she is so patient and flexible with him! Highly highly recommend!”

About: I’ve been a dog lover my entire life and grew up always having a pup by my side. I’m a local teacher, and while I love my students, I’m looking to spend my evenings, weekends, and Summer 2026 having some fun with your furry friends! Why choose me? Lifelong Experience: I’m comfortable with all ages and sizes, from energetic puppies to sweet seniors. Teacher Reliability: I’m organized, great at following specific care instructions, and a pro at keeping a schedule. Safety First: I’ll treat your dog like a member of my own family—with lots of patience and attention. My availability is very consistent during the school year. I am free for late afternoon and evening visits (after 4 PM) as well as all day on weekends. Once summer break kicks off in June, I’m fully open 24/7 through August for walks, boarding, and housesitting. Well I have some travel plans this summer, my calendar is always kept strictly up-to-date- if I’m showing as available, I’m 100% ready to give your pup my full attention! I do not have a yard in my own home, however, we would go on plenty of walks and make sure we’re getting some good outside exercise, if needed.
About: My experience started off with my very own dog when I was a child living in England, I learned from a young age how to take care of a dog and keep them happy. I moved to America 10 years ago and have since been providing dog walking, sitting and general care with several dogs continuously for this whole period. The dogs I have taken care of have ranged from golden doodles, Belgian Malinois and teacup terriers. After 10 years of experience with the same dogs, I am ready to branch out and help you and your dog! I work from home full-time which gives me a lot of flexibility in my available to spend time with your dog and for drop offs and pick ups. Besides an hour at the gym and an hour I walk a dog daily I will be able to provide your dog with all the love and attention they need. I like in apartment with a balcony so if your dog were to be staying at my home it would include having an indoor/outdoor area (the balcony is enclosed), I am also right next to a trail and the bay is less than a mile away so this would be where I would walk your dog. In your home, if you have a routine you would like me to stick to, I’m happy to do so!

“Pamela took really good care of my pup (Sasha). Her dog (Xochilt) got along with her. And she never failed to send updates and photos. Would definitely recommend her!”

“Tyler & Joseph were wonderful. They took great care of my senior dog who is blind and has diabetes. They gave me daily updates on how things were going. I was able to full enjoy my vacation and put my worries at ease knowing my baby was in good hands.”

“Wendy was so so helpful in so many ways I can’t even recommend her enough! I always know my guy was cared for and she is incredibly reliable, communicative, and attentive to an older dog’s needs! Thank you, Wendy!”
“Alegra you are exceptional! Thank you for taking such great care of Cowboy! I could tell by the photos that he was having a great time hanging out with you. And the story about him herding the chickens was cracking us up!”

“Barley had a great time at Clint’s house! Clint takes great care in the way he sets up his house for the dogs to stay over. He sent many video updates to let me know how Barley was doing. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great dog sitter.”

“Caroline was Amazing! Sent photos of my dog very frequently and once I got him back he was super tired that he knocks out from running around all day and playing with rudder! Would definitely recommend to any dog owner that is questionable on leaving their dog with someone!”

“Mihaela did an amazing job watching my doggo. My dog is senior so she needs more care, and she was very attentive, kind, and kept me informed. Highly recommend her!”

“Kimberly was great with our yellow lab! I booked on Rover on fairly short notice (about a week out) and she had availability and accepted shortly after my request was put in. Kimberly provided lots of photo updates of our dog as she took her out on long walks and played with her, so we had total peace of mind the entire weekend. Will definitely be using her again in the future!”

“Emmanuela was such a good sitter to our 2 year old Great Pyrenees mix. We are new to San Diego and were anxious about leaving our baby with strangers. But when we met Emmanuela she reassured us we would receive updates and that he would go on plenty of walks with her and her boyfriend. This made us feel even better knowing he’d have a couple watching him like he usually does at home. Since moving from Texas, our boy has missed his balcony time and he got plenty at Emmanuela’s. We’ll be recommending her services”

“William and his wife did a great job of taking care of our dogs! Sent us plenty of pictures and kept in touch throughout our dogs stay. We will definitely be using again in the future!”

“Samantha took really good care of our pet on such a short notice. I heard back from her within the first five minutes. She sent multiple photos and took our dog on plenty of walks. She kept us updated on how our dog was doing and he got along with her pets. Will definitely use again in the future.”
“Jason was wonderful and showed great care for my dog, Sasha! From the moment we had our initial visit, I felt at ease (and Sasha instantly connected with him). Jason was incredibly adaptable to Sasha's specific needs, taking the time to understand her personality and routine. Throughout her stay, he sent me numerous photos and videos, which was such a relief and made me feel connected even when I was away. Above all, he sent us home with a special bag of treats, which, coming from someone in the hospitality industry, was such a delightful surprise. I highly recommend Jason to anyone looking for personalized care for their furry family members. Sasha and I are both looking forward to our next visit!”

About: I've had dogs and cats my entire life. We currently have two rescue beagles and 5 rescued cats. I do not currently work and can be home with your animals unless running short errands, and once someone enters our home they are family and will be treated like the spoiled royalty they are. I'm happy to send updates and pictures throughout their stay as well. I do not currently work, so I have all the time in the world for your furry friend. The animals rule our house and are allowed on all furniture/beds so they will be very comfortable. I do walks in the early morning with my dogs, but could also do day time/evening walks if your pets need. We have a fenced in dog-run with 24/7 access through a 1-flap dog door. They can go in and out as they please, but the fences are only 3ft high in the dog run, so jumpers/runners might not be the best fit. We feed our dogs twice a day and cannot free-feed animals.

“Shelby took amazing care of my dog while I was away! She was reliable and communicative and I couldn’t be happier with his care. I got regular updates and came back to a happy and well cared for doggo. I definitely recommend her and would book again!!”
