Hana can be very anxious and temperamental, but Lori exceeded our expectations and was able to form a bond with her quickly. We usually avoid boarding Hana at larger facilities because she becomes overwhelmed and overly anxious. However, Lori was able to provide Hana with much more intimate care where she felt safer. Lori provided daily updates showing us that Hana was active and well taken care of. This made it much easier to feel at ease while we are on vacation. We will certainly be using her again.”

Our cat needs medication regularly twice a day and Karmelita had no problem giving him the medication or with the schedule. And even stayed to play with him for a bit! About: I owned two cats — a girl and a boy, although very briefly when I was 13 and it lasted a year. I loved how regal they were, and how trusting, kind, soft they were once you got to know them. At first, they were really timid beings that would run from everyone in my family, with the one and only exception being when they heard their metal food bowls clank down full. It took them about two weeks of analyzing our schedules to slowly open themselves up to us and allow us to be around them, pet them, show them love. I would give them small sniff tests here and there to test their readiness level, and they became acclimated to me quicker than anyone else for that reason. Our family had to give them back after one year because the family who gave them to us moved back here from out of state and wanted to have their cats back. Aside from owning cats, I started being around cats from when I was 10 until I turned 15 because I had friends that owned cats — an older cat (21 years old) and a kitten (8 months when I first met her). I would take care of those two cats whenever I would sleep over at their place, feed them and give them water periodically. I love being around cats!

About: Being around dogs since childhood, I'm very sensitive to their needs. As a prior dog owner myself, I've dealt with several situations, in working with dogs during rehab, caring for a dog with special needs and adapting to senior care. I have also taken care of dogs for friends and coworkers. For the time being, my services come as a package deal. Please only book if your dog is for certain comfortable with toddlers. My child has been exposed to different dogs, including larger dogs such as a lab, and he knows to be respectful and give them their space. There will be no tail pulling, taunting or any other form of bullying permitted while we are with your pet, as we are to be gentle with all animals. For shorter drop-ins or walks I can have my child secured in a hiking backpack. Currently, I/we are best available for weekend sits, though weekend or evening walks and check-ins are also available. We are also available for longer stays if your pet is used to you being at work during the week. We'd love the opportunity to get puppy love when when possible. First and foremost, I understand that every pet is different, with unique needs, temperaments and personalities. Some are just fine while their owner is away, while others may display anxious behavior during this time. It is my goal that no matter what they experience, that they be as comfortable as possible. Of course I would be mindful of what your pets are and are not allowed... in my own experience, I was never one to give my dog human treats unless it was a very special occasion, so I can be respectful and understanding of any rules specific to your preference for your dog(s). I am happy to take them outside, drive them to a nearby park if that is something you are comfortable with, I think communication when it comes to your loved one is key.

About: I grew up with dogs in the house, and have always helped out at animal shelters. I love dogs big and small, and have dog sat for people with dogs as small as chihuahua to dogs as big as Tibetan mastiffs. I currently have a rescue pit/lab mix. About: My senior dog was my very best friend and companion. I adopted him when my cousin wasn't able to care for him anymore. He passed away last May at the age of 14 after battling ongoing diseases/old age. We walked every day and he also had a big fenced garden to play in. About: Hi my name is Alex I’m a secretary but I’m starting a Medical program this August I’m currently living in San Diego a few things about myself is that I’ve lived with animals most of my life, mostly dogs a couple of cats almost all came from shelters or rescues a few we picked up from the streets. Some of the dogs that I’ve adopted from the shelter or rescues were older around 5-6 years old. I have taken care of dogs who have needed to take daily medication and some that are skittish around people. I have also taken care of pregnant dogs and newborn puppies What I’ve come to learn from being around all these animals is that with enough patience and care there is no animal that can’t be loved. I’m currently working as a remote secretary which allows me to manage my own hours I have a car so travel is easy to arrange I usually don’t have any work on the weekend. I usually ask the pet parents for a physical or emailed list of things they allow with their pet babies or don’t allow in their homes or in general.

About: In total I’ve had 5 dogs in my lifetime, dating far back to when I was a baby! Dogs of many sizes and kinds of dogs from small to big, a labrador rottweiler mix, bichon frise and the rest being rat terriers. So from about the time I was born until I was 13 (I am now 20), I owned 5 dogs :). I loved being able to walk my dogs, taking them to parks, just being in their company really. I look after my friends’ dogs on occasion as well as my relative’s when they’re busy and decided that I would love to make it into a career. I don’t have a job, and I’m a student at Southwestern, I was full time last semester but the semester ended just last week. I will be fully free for the next two weeks with the exception of Friday’s from 6pm-11pm (can be negotiated if need be!). I’m open every week day and every day of weekend, willing to work anywhere from 8am until about 5pm. I will be taking one class in the summer, ballet (dance), that begins June 15th, ends August 8th and runs Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:25am to 11:25 AM for all three days. I would not be allowed to host any pet in my house as we have two babies in the house and we’re not fully aware of their allergies yet, however, it would be best for me to do drop ins or house sitting sessions for that reason. I think doing a meet and greet beforehand would be amazing so that we could have a chance to meet each other first and maybe introduce me to your pet to see if I could be a good match to sit for them instead of blindly throwing me with them!

About: I grew up with dogs in the house, and have always helped out at animal shelters. I love dogs big and small, and have dog sat for people with dogs as small as chihuahua to dogs as big as Tibetan mastiffs. I currently have a rescue pit/lab mix. I have my own car, so pick ups, drop offs, and dog sitting at the owner’s house would not be an issue. I do speak Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese fluently in case there is a need for communication with the owners or families in a different language. I love outdoor sports and walks in the park and trail, so that is something I could offer if the owner wishes their pups get some more exercise. I have also cat sit for friends many of times. I have never had a cat of my own, but always enjoy playing with my friends’ cats. Honestly, I love animals of all kinds! I’m an icu nurse, so I work 3 days a week. Rest of the time I spend hanging out with friends and families and my dog. I typically walk my dog about 3 times a day and feed him twice a day. Depending on what your pet’s needs are, I am flexible to meet your pet’s needs.

About: I've always had pets ever since I was very little, I adore all pets. I have had many, and currently have kitties and a puppy! I know a lot on how to care for them, and love playing with them to keep them happy and stimulated. I currently spend most of my time at home with my own pets, I occasionally babysit family as well. About: We’ve been raised around dogs and cats our whole life. As a result, we have vast experience of taking care of animals. Currently, we are the owners of 2 labrador retrievers, so we are in tune with the demands and joys of taking care of dogs. We are available for pet care in the morning before 7 and in the evening after 5 Monday through Friday. We are very flexible on the weekends. At our home, we have a fenced in small yard and also a dog park within my condominium which is spacious, clean, and fenced in. When taking care of dogs at other’s homes, we are willing to follow their instructions.

“Lori watched our dog Hana for four nights and we couldn’t be more pleased. Hana can be very anxious and temperamental, but Lori exceeded our expectations and was able to form a bond with her quickly. We usually avoid boarding Hana at larger facilities because she becomes overwhelmed and overly anxious. However, Lori was able to provide Hana with much more intimate care where she felt safer. Lori provided daily updates showing us that Hana was active and well taken care of. This made it much easier to feel at ease while we are on vacation. We will certainly be using her again.”

About: I have grown up around dogs my entire life and genuinely love being around animals. My dog, Bearra, a Lab and German Shepherd mix, recently passed away after living an amazing 15.5 years. She was such a huge part of my life and taught me how important patience, love, exercise, and attentive care are for pets at every stage of life.
