“Marwa was great with our rescue corgi. We were apprehensive about leaving our dog with a sitter so soon after adopting her, but as soon as we met Marwa our anxieties were eased. She was great about providing us photos, videos, and updates about our sweet girl. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again for our pet sitting needs.”

“Verle and Kaitlin were great with my pup! They sent so many cute pics and daily updates and helped put me at ease knowing she was in good hands. Would definitely recommend and will rebook the next time we’re in need. Great communication and wonderful sitters!”

“Mark and his son were really awesome with our dog, Thor. We booked a 10 day stay, and Mark provided consistent updates on how Thor was doing. They walked him regularly and played with him often, and they have a great home with a back yard Thor could enjoy. I felt comfortable and confident leaving my fur baby with them!”

“Five stars! Cerita provided excellent care for our energetic dog. She makes a point to understand each of the canine personalities in her care, and has a great setup for managing them. She was also always very responsive and pleasant to deal with.”

“Linda provided great care for my mini poodle for 6 nights. I was out of town and Linda sent email updates daily sent one video of her playing. The messages were reassuring that she was happy and safe. When I travel again I will definitely have Linda take care of my dog.”

“Mabel loved her time at Araceli’s! Araceli was very warm and welcoming to us humans, but to Mabel she was a dog’s dream host. There are toys, stuffies and balls galore. Mabel absolutely felt at home the second we walked in. Mabel was allowed to get on the couch and Araceli didn’t mind when water dripped off her mouth after drinking water. We knew immediately that Mabel would be in great hands and she was. We were happy to receive pictures and even a video of Mabel having fun. We will definitely use Araceli again. I know Mabel will be excited.”

“Ami treated my boys well and kept me updated as one of them was having trouble adjusting to a new location. I really appreciate her patience and graciousness in caring for the boys. They both came home healthy, happy, and worn out. I’d definitely recommend Ami to other pet parents.”

“Todd and Bill took Lenny in and made him feel at home immediately. Lenny can be a difficult and rambunctious pup, and he didn't phase them one bit. They sent great photos and videos throughout and stayed in close touch. 6 stars!! Thank you!!”

“Shakyra did a great job taking care of Nemo! This was the first time Nemo had ever stayed away from me so Shakyra sent me lots of pictures to keep me at ease. I think this was much harder for me than Nemo! I would definitely book Shakyra again.”

“Naira was wonderful with my Todd! I felt so safe leaving him with her, so glad I was able to find a good babysitter for my fur baby on such short notice! Thank you so much Naira!”
“Thanks to Jason and family for caring for Molly. She loves staying with them and isn’t really that excited to see me🤪I appreciate having the ability to leave her worry free. And enjoy all the photos and videos Jason sends everyday.”

“We felt completely at ease leaving our dog with Mark over the holidays. He made sure Apollo was comfortable in his home and was super accommodating to all his little quirks. Mark's communication was excellent, always quick and responsive, which we appreciated. We'd definitely book with him again and recommend him to other dog owners :)”

“I can't thank Mihaela enough for taking such great care of our dog. She was a great communicator and sent a lot of photos while he was in her care. She was also so kind and understanding when my flight was delayed and I had to pick him up later. Would love to have her watch our dog again. Thank you!”

“Ms. Pilar was beyond exceptional I really loved how she cared for my 2 dogs I came back a little later than I wanted to but she was very understanding about the situation. I received messages every day from her as well as photos of the dogs. She took them on lots of walks and provided love and care for them as they were her very own. I recommend her Kai is a lot more calmer since he has been home. I recommend Ms. Pilar to everyone she is the best and has a true love for the dogs in her care. Thanks Ms. Pilar we appreciate you Prince and Kai Miss you as well.”

“I left my pup with Amalia & her family for a week - the longest I've been away from her since I got her. I was sent video updates while away- It was so comforting to see how well she was being taken care of & to see how much she loves running & rolling around in their back yard! Thank you for making her so happy!”

“Melanie is such a kind and loving petsitter--and her longtime experience caring for senior dogs is such a huge benefit, too--she's given me great tips on things like how to get my dog to take his medicine and suggestions about how to help his mobility.”

“Brenda did a great job taking care of my two cats. She was prompt and professional. She played with them, brushed them, and attended to their daily needs. She even sent great photos!!”

About: I’ve lived with cats since the day I came into the world! I’ve learned how to give them the space they need while still making sure they don’t create chaos. And of course I’m comfortable with cleaning out the litter and taking a scratch or two for some friendly playing :)
“Jessica is an absolutely amazing person and pet sitter! She watched my potato cat for the weekend but I had to extend it because my flight got cancelled. She was so nice and willing to drop in an extra day too! She was the perfect peace of mind I needed. Plus Jessica took amazing photos of my chonky furbaby. I love them!!”

About: I used to help care for a cat at my grandpa’s house, so I’m comfortable with feeding, checking in on them, and making sure they feel safe and cared for. I’m gentle, dependable, and happy to give them attention and company while keeping things calm and easy for them.
“It was my first time using Rover, and I was out of town for the Christmas holiday needing someone to check in on my cat. Callahan did a fantastic job! She cleaned his litter box, refreshed his water, and made sure he got lots of love and attention. She was incredibly communicative, prompt, and responsible throughout the entire stay. I would absolutely recommend her and would happily book with her again!”

About: Cats have been a part of my life forever, and I truly cherish every moment caring for them! I currently share my home with a sweet cat I fostered for several months before adopting. She was shy and cautious at first, so I patiently gave her the time and love she needed to feel safe and comfortable. I understand how special each cat is, and I’m dedicated to providing gentle, compassionate care tailored to their unique personality. With me, your kitty will feel loved, safe, and truly at home.

“Stefanie took amazing care of our 2 fur babies. I love that she got on their level and played with them! Our cats were well loved while we went on vacation for a week. Highly recommend and we will be returning customers!! Thank you Stefanie.”

“Ms Caity is attentive and responsible. She now is our go-to. She did a fantastic job watching our babies for 3 weeks while overseas and 1 week out of state. Gold stars!! I highly recommend.”

“This is our second time booking with Michael. He took very good care again of our three kitties. Home was clean and despite not asking him to he washed the pet dishes for us so that was nice. Thanks, Michael.”

About: I have over 8 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, including raising and caring for my own Morkie since he was a puppy and regularly helping care for a family member’s Bernedoodle from puppyhood as well. My experience includes daily walks, feeding, bathing, playtime, administering medication when needed, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I have also completed numerous dog-sitting jobs for family friends, caring for pets while families were out of town and adapting to each dog’s individual routine and needs. In addition, I volunteered for 4 years at Pets in Need Animal Shelter in Redwood City, where I worked as both a dog and cat caregiver and helped socialize animals to prepare them for adoption. Responsibilities included cleaning spaces, feeding animals, providing enrichment and exercise, and helping animals feel comfortable in a shelter environment. I also occasionally volunteered during outreach events that provided pet care services for unhoused individuals and their animals in San Francisco. I have a very flexible schedule, so I’m able to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care throughout the week. I have availability during weekdays and weekends and try to be as accommodating as possible to each pet owner’s schedule. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, playtime, feeding, or sticking to a pet’s normal routine, I’m happy to provide dependable care and updates while you’re away. I care for pets with patience, attention, and a focus on making them feel safe and comfortable, whether in my home or a client’s home. I live in an apartment with a park directly across the street, making walks and outdoor time easy and convenient. I always try to follow a pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication if needed, and any instructions from owners to help pets feel comfortable and cared for while their family is away.

“Sara did amazing job watching over our 3 cats, she had clear communication and was effectively able to notify us of any issues before they happened so we could make an actionable decision. She was available on short notice which we were extremely grateful for and had wonderful flexibility regarding time. Our 3 cats were will cared for, she reported back each day with multiple pictures and proof the litter box was scooped. She was also able to give one of our cats her medicine with little trouble. Overall 5/5 would definitely book her again and will probably on a short trip we have coming up.”

“I had a good experience overall with Paige. She stayed for the full hour as requested, cleaned the litter boxes, sent lots of pictures and updates, cuddled with the cats, and left the apartment tidy afterward. It was clear she cared about making the cats comfortable while I was away.”

“Ashtin jumped in last-minute for this house sit and we were extremely satisfied with how quickly he bonded with Jerry and cared for him while we were away. The happy pictures we received gave us peace of mind so we could enjoy our vacation. In addition, our house was clean and in perfect order upon our return. We hope that Ashtin will return for a future pet sit and would highly recommend him to others! Thank you, Ashtin!”

About: Hi, I’m Michelle. I’m a longtime dog owner with over 16 years of experience, and I recently returned to Rover after taking a few years’ hiatus to care for our senior pup full-time. We recently said goodbye to our sweet girl, Mika, who was with us for 16.5 wonderful years. Caring for her taught us so much about patience, comfort, and the extra love senior dogs need. While we’re not quite ready to adopt again, we would truly love to share that love with your pup. My husband and I have a calm, dog-free home, which allows us to give your dog our full attention in a peaceful, low-stress environment. We have a special place in our hearts for senior dogs and those who may need gentler care, but we love pups of all ages. Your dog’s days will include two walks (adjusted for age and energy level), playtime or cozy downtime, treats with your approval, and lots of affection and belly rubs. I also provide photo updates and check-ins so you can feel confident your furry family member is happy and well cared for. My goal is simple: to make your dog feel safe, loved, and at home while you’re away. A Few Things I’d Love to Know To provide the best care possible, please let me know: • Any special needs or medical considerations • If your dog experiences separation anxiety • Feeding schedule, diet, medications, or allergies • Their daily routine and energy level • Favorite comforts, routines, or quirks Important Note Extended stay: An additional $25 day rate applies if pick-up is over the 24-hour period. Your pup will get plenty of attention. We can go for walks and have some play time. Ofcourse (if your pet is older we will go for shorter walks) They’ll get treats and belly rubs. We have a patio with grass they can go potty anytime :) I have a cozy and fenced patio. They can sit and lay out by the sun. I also have a grassy area for potty breaks anytime the want.
“Melanie did a wonderful job watching my pup. She gave consistent updates and my pup was relaxed and appeared to be well rested when I picked her up which is the best thing I can ask for … I would definitely rebook Melanie!”

About: I have experience taking care of dogs with major anxiety and dogs that are super rowdy and high energy. I love hiking and going on really long walks, so if you have a dog that requires more adventure I would love to bring them along. I’m really patient, caring, and good at making dogs feel comfortable and safe. I love keeping up with walks, playtime, feeding, and whatever routine they need. I’m also the type of person who will always say hi to a dog I pass by, so being around dogs is something I genuinely love. I also work another job as a housekeeper, so for an extra charge i can do some light cleaning and dusting for your house too ( I use all natural sprays)! :) I’m home for the summer, so I have a pretty open and flexible schedule. I’m available to give pets lots of attention, keep up with their routines, and be reliable when it comes to feedings, check ins, walks, playtime, and even hikes if they are up for it! I’m really caring and pay close attention to how pets are doing, so I always want them to feel comfortable and in good hands. I’ll follow whatever routine you have for them and make sure they get lots of attention, care, and love while you’re away!
“Mark has been wonderful to work with. Our dog, Mello, has some anxiety around new environments, so we arranged a test daycare day before the official boarding dates. Mark has been incredibly patient and thoughtful in helping Mello get comfortable. We really appreciate how willing he is to work with us and plan a few more test daycare and boarding days ahead of the actual stay. It’s clear he truly cares about making sure the dogs in his care feel safe and supported. Based on this experience, we’re very confident Mello will have a great time during his upcoming stays.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats around the neighborhood for years. When our neighbors go on trips, they leave their pets in my care. In the past, I've gone to the beach, taken long walks, and helped with basic training. I am excited to meet all my new furry friends :) I am free any time, any day! 😁 I are happy to take care of your pet at any time. Your pet will be the center of my attention. I live in a fenced yard with plenty of space for your furry friends to run around. My home is quiet, and there's always someone around to be with your pet. I live in a safe, secure home, with lots of inside space to chill out.
“She's great. My dog has never been with anyone but family and she is able to comfort him. With my schedule changing, it is wonderful having her as a backup for work. Like I said, she's great.”

About: I've loved dogs since I was a kid growing up with huskies! I would always handle their grooming, walking, and medications. In adulthood I found my passion for rescue dogs and have rescued/fostered pitbulls and mastiffs for the last 8 years! I have a heart for gentle giants but love snuggling and taking care of my parent's little poodle mixes as well. I also have a lot of experience handling senior and ill dogs, and give that level of care and patience to all dogs that I work with. I handle our two dog's enrichment all day and love having visitors. I'm currently working from home so can be their all day for your pet's needs. I understand that pet routines are key to creating happy healthy pets and will do what ever I can to accommodate your needs! We also have doggie doors to allow your pet access to potty breaks whenever they need! I have a fenced yard and two friendly pups to keep your pup company! I also have a great neighborhood for walking your fur baby in, low traffic and tons of plants for them to smell. Dogs are more than welcome to cuddle up on the couch or our dog beds. I have comfy crates available as well if that's your dog's jam.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over five years and have experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone who treats them like family. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply sticking to their routine, I’m happy to adapt to their individual needs. I’m attentive, patient, and prioritize your pet’s comfort and safety at all times. I’ll keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I work from home, which allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. Your pet won’t be left alone for long periods, and I’ll make sure they stick to their normal routine as closely as possible. I also provide regular photo and video updates so you can feel connected while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet because I’m a dog owner myself. I treat every pet like they’re part of my family and take the time to learn their routine, personality, and preferences. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, I’ll prioritize their safety, comfort, and happiness while keeping you updated every step of the way. My goal is for you to have complete peace of mind knowing your pet is loved and well cared for.

“Sandee is such a kind, gentle woman. She immediately got down and greeted my pup. She sent me pictures throughout the day & even filled me in on her concerns of my dog, not eating. (Which is totally normal, when she’s a lil nervous). Sandee’s house & backyard is a zen zone . So tranquil & peaceful. Love love ❤️ 100 recommend :)!! Thank you Sandee!!”

“Gabrielle was fantastic! Kept me updated throughout the day, sent pictures and videos, and took our dog on multiple walks. Absolutely recommend her and her sweet dog to take care of yours!!”

“She was so caring and attentive to my dog, and I love how she keeps you updated on everything. She was very accommodating given the fact that I had to drop of my dog really early for work. Would definitely recommend, I know I’ll be going to her for my pup.”

About: Hi there! My wife and I both work from home in College Area, so we are an ideal match for someone looking for a long-term solution to their dog walks/drop-in needs! Our house is 1 mile from the SDSU campus, and we walk our dog about 3-4 miles 6 times a week. We use Rover's app that will email/text you the details of your dog's walk/drop-in, including bathroom breaks, notes, GPS route tracking, and pictures. Dogs have always been a part of our lives, and having both been volunteers in the past, we're well aware of the balance needed for a dog to live a healthy DOG (not human) life. Providing our dog a balanced life is one of the reasons we adjusted our schedules at work, so we wouldn't have to leave Cabby all cooped up while we were gone for 9+ hours a day. We'd love to talk to you about your dog walking/drop-in needs, any questions you'd have for us, and of course to talk about your dog in particular. Rest assured, if there's someone who's going to love your dog like you would, you've come to the right place! About this sitter: We've always been the go-to dog sitter for family and friends. We've both also volunteered at different dog shelters in Michigan, Illinois, and California. Why I love dog sitting: My family got our first dog when I was just 2 years old. I've had at least one dog in my family ever since. Meet my pets: Brookie! See my profile for more information. I can take your dog for a walk and/or do a drop-in visit in the mornings, during lunch, or even later in the evening. I am happy to find a schedule that works best for you and that your dog is comfortable with. I am already very active and know the neighborhood, streets, and nearby parks very well. I walk a lot during the week as part of my regular exercise, and having your dog join me would make it that much more enjoyable.
“William is super awesome. He took great care of our young pup and was a very cool and funny guy to boot. He was definitley flexible and super responsive. He’ll be a great buddy for my buddy going forward.”

“Whitney was great! Ghost is home sleeping like a baby. I’m glad she enjoyed her time with Whitney, and we have a person we trust to take Ghost to when we need it. I appreciate the updates and communication.”

“I had such a great experience leaving my dog, Coyol, with Shakyra for the day! From the start, she was incredibly patient during both drop-off and pick-up, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Throughout the day, she kept me updated with pictures and messages, which gave me peace of mind knowing Coyol was in good hands. She even took him on a hike, which he absolutely loved! Great communication and super flexible!”

She is also an (inactive) Rover provider and can share her info upon request. I am very physically active and enjoy a pup to run / hike with as well. I travel throughout the metro area for business and meetings as well, so I am willing to go anywhere to be a blessing. Transparency and communication is key, always reaching out to the client to ensure I am following proper procedures. I provide the service of package / mail collection, taking the trash out on trash day, pup-poo yard clean up, and as a skilled trade handyman - can provide assistance / service upon discussion. About: I’ve had cats my whole life and currently have one of my own, so I understand the deep bond we share with our pets. I also have years of experience with dogs—walking, feeding, playing, and overnight house sitting. What truly sets me apart is the level of medical care I’ve provided. When my late cat became ill, I had to administer subcutaneous IV fluids and oral medications daily. That experience taught me not only technical skills but also patience, gentleness, and how to comfort pets during vulnerable moments. I’m confident handling medications, understanding pet behavior, and creating a calm environment for animals of all ages and temperaments. Your pet will be in loving, capable hands. I’m currently working part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule to care for your pets with plenty of time, energy, and attention. About: I helped take care of my first family dog for 10 years and I adopted a super sweet shelter dog last year. I unfortunately had to leave her at home with my parents while I attend college out here in San Diego so I am always happy for any opportunity to get some time with any furry friends. I love taking care of pets and helping them be as happy and healthy as possible! I just finished my 3rd year at SDSU studying Civil Engineering and this summer and I am going my first internship. With that, I am busy during weekdays but I am available weekends. Being around furry friend always helps me destress so I would love to house sit during the weekends! My availability lists Saturday and Sunday as I cannot do full days on Friday, but I am available after 6PM! I am able to maintain feeding and exercise schedules, make sure that there are no possible dangers to pets either in house or out and about on walks, and I just generally love spending time with animals to give them the care and engagement they need and deserve.

About: I have two dogs of my own, a Great Dane and a Poodle mix, so I know firsthand how nerve wracking it is to hand your dog off to someone you don't know. I get it! I'm not just a sitter, I'm a dog owner who actually understands what you're trusting someone with. And as a Great Dane owner, giant breeds and big personalities are my comfort zone. No size is going to phase me! I run my own creative business, so my schedule is genuinely flexible in a way that most sitters can't offer. No 9 to 5 I'm working around. I can typically accommodate drop ins and walks at times that actually work for you, not just whatever's left in my day. I'm the dog mom who leaves a five page document for my own sitters, so trust me, no request is too silly. Special feeding routine? Weird little habit your dog has that you think "how will I explain this to the dog sitter"? I want to know. I'll follow it. And I always send photo updates so you're not just sitting there wondering how your pup is doing.

About: I've had dogs my entire life, and caring for them has always been a big part of who I am. As a lifelong dog owner, I understand that every dog has unique needs, routines, and personalities. My own dog is now a senior and can't enjoy the long walks and hikes we used to take together, so I'd love the opportunity to spend that time with other dogs who still enjoy those adventures. I've been caring for neighbors', family friends', and relatives' dogs since I was young, giving me experience with dogs of all ages and temperaments. I've also helped with puppy training and understand the importance of consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement. I'm flexible, dependable, and detail-oriented. Whether your dog needs a strict routine followed closely or a customized schedule based on their individual needs, I'll make sure they receive attentive, loving care. My goal is to treat every dog like my own and give owners peace of mind while they're away. My schedule is very flexible, which allows me to provide dependable and attentive care for your pets. I work part-time both from home and at a local coffee shop, but my shifts are typically only about four hours long. This makes it easy for me to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits, walks, and check-ins. I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors, so I’m happy to fit pet care into my daily routine and give your pets the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. When caring for pets, my top priorities are safety, comfort, and maintaining their normal routine. For house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, medications, exercise needs, and household rules. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and comfort level, so I take time to build trust and make sure they feel secure while you are away. I also provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for in their own familiar environment.
About: I have grown up with dogs all my life. I have been taking care of my dog since my family got her about 13 years ago. I have also taken care of friends and families pets for a while now. I am very conscientious of their needs and can ensure they are in a safe environment. I am currently a student at San Diego State University. Other than when I have class I am free pretty much anytime to pet sit. Caring for pets at my home or in a client's home requires following specific instructions, maintaining routines, and ensuring their safety and comfort. This involves adapting care to each pet's unique needs, providing exercise, and addressing any health concerns.
About: I am an active, athletic, and attentive dog owner. I am present, engaging, and have a deep love for animals. Taking care of animals is something I'm good at and deeply enjoy. I'm someone that will show your pet the same type of love you do. I am a hard working professional who is employed at Cafe as a Barista! Meet up with me and we can discuss what schedule works best for you, myself and your pet. I live in a quaint neighborhood and there is a dog park close by that I take my pup to everyday. I also am a runner and enjoy taking my dog on trail/road runs. I am willing to take the pets I care for on jogs/walks or to the dog park. I always ensure when I leave the house that my pet has water, a toy and a comfy place to rest. I also play relaxing music from a disk player. Occasionally I will put on meditative dog TV for my pup.
About: I've had taken care of multiple dogs from pug, beagle, and boxer all of which me and my family have taken care of since they were puppies. Currently my family has a pug, Angelo, who is 8 years old and I also take care of my cousin's beagle who is 9 years old. My cousin has trusted me with dropping in and feeding her beagle, along with feeding and playtime. I'm currently a full-time college student, who loves to be with animals and take care of them. Winding down with animals helps my mental health and with my class schedule allows me to have more time take on new challenges. For drop-ins, I would love to have a feeding schedule along with a safe environment to get to know pet and owner. Many toys and treats to play/help train pet be more comfortable in a home. In addition to helping the pet being comfortable with new people.

“I can't thank Mihaela enough for taking such great care of our dog. She was a great communicator and sent a lot of photos while he was in her care. She was also so kind and understanding when my flight was delayed and I had to pick him up later. Would love to have her watch our dog again. Thank you!”

“Katelyn and Paul are the best! They took really good care of our boys while we were out of town! This was the first time that we left our boys with a sitter so we were a little nervous. We couldn’t of chosen a better couple! Katelyn and Paul are true dog lovers and we knew they would be in great hands. They also have a really nice and spacious backyard for dogs to enjoy. Overall a great experience! We will definitely use their services again in the future! ❤️?”

“Had the best experience with the sitter! She was so kind, met up and did a meet and greet in a park so our dogs could get comfortable with each other, and she sent so many photos and even took my dog on a 2 mile hike. We already booked her for our two week international trip and I feel so relaxed that my dog is going to be in good hands!!! My go to person!”

“Benny immediately gravitated towards Nick and we knew it was a good match. Nick expressed his love of dogs and it showed with the care he provided Benny. Nick was very attentive and kept us updated with Benny very frequently, providing pictures and videos of Benny enjoying his time with Nick.
