“This is the second time we’ve used Ami for our dog sitting needs. She is reliable, quick to respond and has always been able to help us with such short notice. We appreciate that she sends us daily updates. We know Darwin is in a good place when he zooms up the stairs at drop-off!”

“Kaitlin and Verle took such great care of our dog! He was calm and happy when we picked him up, and I would definitely feel comfortable booking again!”

“Marwa was great with our rescue corgi. We were apprehensive about leaving our dog with a sitter so soon after adopting her, but as soon as we met Marwa our anxieties were eased. She was great about providing us photos, videos, and updates about our sweet girl. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again for our pet sitting needs.”

“We’ve now completed two trial daycare days and two trial boarding stays with Mark, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Mello has separation anxiety, so we wanted to make sure she truly felt safe and comfortable before her official boarding. Mark has been incredibly patient, thoughtful, and genuinely caring every step of the way. He really goes above and beyond — he even brings Mello along with him when he’s out running quick errands like picking up pizza or McDonald’s, just so she can feel included and never alone. It’s clear he’s not just watching dogs — he’s trying to be their best friend. The biggest and most wonderful surprise: we had arranged trazodone for Mello to help with her anxiety and sleep, but she’s become so comfortable and happy there that she no longer needs it to rest well at night. That means everything to us. We’re heading into her official boarding stay next, and we feel completely confident she’ll have a great time. Thank you, Mark, for caring for Mello like your own!”

“My dog is very shy and can get aggressive around other dogs because of her fear. She really enjoyed her stay at Cerita's house. She appeared to very comfortable there even with the other dogs. Cerita and her children were very welcoming.”

“Whitney always takes such good care of our Bentley. He’s been boarding with Whitney for 4 years now and we do not plan on going to anyone else to take care of our baby.”

“Todd and Bill were AMAZING! They took such great care of our dog and sent daily updates with photos and videos. This was the longest we had ever left our dog for a stay, but Todd and Bill made sure to ease our minds while we were away. It seems like our dog had a great time because he passed out on the couch almost as soon as we got home! They even washed a blanket we left for our dog to relax on, so it was fresh and clean when we got home. Their attention to detail was highly appreciated and we will definitely be using their services again in the future! Thank you again Todd and Bill, we really appreciated your care in taking care of our precious cargo :)”

“After a year, I booked Josh once again and I can say that he is the best. Milo, was a bit unsure since its been a while since he saw Josh but I knew he was in good hands. He is very communicative and will always be ready to send you pictures or videos of your fur baby.”

“Ana was so helpful in caring for our dog last minute! We needed to board our dog with almost no notice and then I even booked the stay for one day short. Ana was so accommodating and treated our dog like family.”

“Michelle was amazing with my pup Maddy. Drop off and pick up we’re a breeze and she sent me updates and pictures while we were away. Maddy had a great time with her and we will definitely use her again the next time we are out of town!”

“This is the 2nd time Cristina looks after my two mini aussies. This time it was for a whole month. My girls really enjoyed themselves. Always happy, spoiled and I have always felt at peace leaving them at her home. She and her husband and really great and family oriented people. Thank you so much for looking so nicely after them”

“Anar took wonderful care of our dog Ace for a full 8 days during Christmas and the new year. She kept us updated daily with pictures and how he was doing. We couldn’t recommend her more!”

“Brenda was great with my shy cat! Typically she doesn’t come out for sitters unless there’s food involved, but she came out for Brenda and played with her. “Stefanie took amazing care of our 2 fur babies. I love that she got on their level and played with them! Our cats were well loved while we went on vacation for a week. Highly recommend and we will be returning customers!! Thank you Stefanie.”

“Caity is a wonderful cat sitter. Kind, patient communicative, and thorough, she took incredible care of our beloved cat, Kuma, over 2 days. She took the time to get to know Kuma and make him comfortable with her presence. She quickly read his moods and needs, and made Kuma's first extended stint alone as easy as possible for both him and us - going well above and beyond what we had hoped. She sent us multiple fantastic photos and a report on how he was doing each visit - very comforting for two first-time cat owners. We'd work with her again in a heartbeat and are so happy to have found Caity!”

“It was a pleasure working with Michael! This was my first experience on Rover and he made it a great one. Michael not only medicated, fed, and played with with my moody cat, but he also sent adorable photos and detailed updates to ease my mind during my travel. I will definitely call him again (and you should too)!”

About: I have been caring for pets for as long as I can remember and have taken an active role in their care from a young age. Over the years, friends and family have frequently trusted me to pet sit for them, giving me experience with a variety of animals and personalities. My experience includes feeding, bathing, walking pets, administering medication, and taking them outside for potty breaks. In my free time, I also foster animals through the San Diego Humane Society, which has strengthened my ability to care for pets with different needs and temperaments. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and love providing them with attention, playtime, companionship, and a safe, caring environment while their owners are away. I go to college here in San Diego and love to spend my extra time caring for pups and pets. I am free most days and can be extremely flexible. I am happy to follow whatever care routine works best for you and your pets to help them feel comfortable and secure in their own home. Whether your pet needs frequent check-ins, extended companionship, or overnight care, I am flexible and willing to accommodate their needs. I love spending quality time with animals and making sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. Above all, your pet’s safety, well-being, and happiness are always my top priorities.

“Audrey took very good care of our kitties when we were out of town for a couple of days. She sent some cute pictures and always responded in a very timely manner to our texts.”

“Sara always does an amazing job with my 2 shy kitties! She is super patient with them and can always get them out to play even when they are nervous. She is very thorough and responsible!”

About: Hi! My name is Alyssa and I will gladly take care of your fur baby. I have grown up with all sorts of animals and have a soft spot for them. I also do temp fostering and have been doing that for a few years now! If you need any care for your pet please reach out! I’m a senior at SDSU and with that said I only have a couple classes so my availability is pretty open! Just reach out and we can make something work. I have grown up with all types of different animals and have learned the basic care for them. I trained all of my dogs back at home and they are well behaved! I can provide any service you may be looking for with your pet!!

“I had such a great experience with her! My cat can be a little particular with new people, but she warmed up to her right away, which says a lot. She showed up exactly when she said she would, followed all my instructions carefully, and clearly took the time to make sure everything was done properly. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my cat was in good hands. I’ll definitely be rebooking and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter.”

About: What sets me apart is how attentive and patient I am with every pet I care for. I understand that every animal has a different personality and comfort level, so I take my time to make sure they feel safe, calm, and cared for during every visit. Whether it’s a walk or a drop-in, I treat each pet like they’re my own and make sure they get not just the basics, but genuine care, affection, and attention. Pet parents can count on me to be reliable, communicative, and consistent every time. I am currently with a lot of free time, trying to stay active and what better way to go for walks than with a dog. I’m very attentive, patient, and reliable. I treat every pet like my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for during every visit.

“Casandra was amazing with my cats- they slowly warmed up to her over time and she was able to get meds to my extra nervous cat! I know I can look to her when I leave town and not have to worry :)”

About: I have grown up with pets and trained my own puppies since I was a little kid. I have lots of experience house and pet sitting. I love and care about animals and will take great care of your pets! Pet care fits into my weekly routine because since I have been away at school, I have missed my pets tremendously. At home, I provided constant food and water, lots of attention, and walked my dogs every single day. I miss taking care of them and having animals around. Since I can not have pets of my own at college, I wish to take care of your pets. I care for pets by spending lots of time with them. Pets deserve love and attention. Keeping them fed and making sure their water is always full. Providing medicine when they need it. Letting them outside to use the bathroom. And providing walks for dogs daily.
“Matt is great! We appreciate his patience and calm demeanor. Our dogs really like him and we trust that he treats them the same way we do! We will continue to book with Matt.”

“Spencer was wonderful! He came over to do a meet and greet with our cats and confirm what we were looking for; he was lovely. During his visits he provided great updates and photos, and did a great job with food/water/litter. Our cats seemed to enjoy hanging out with him, and we'd love to use him again!”

“Incredibly kind people and flexible. They have a few dogs that my 4 month old puppy played with. When I got home she went to sleep right away so it seemed like she had plenty of fun! Thanks guys. I will be coming back for your help!”
“Mark has been wonderful to work with. Our dog, Mello, has some anxiety around new environments, so we arranged a test daycare day before the official boarding dates. Mark has been incredibly patient and thoughtful in helping Mello get comfortable. We really appreciate how willing he is to work with us and plan a few more test daycare and boarding days ahead of the actual stay. It’s clear he truly cares about making sure the dogs in his care feel safe and supported. Based on this experience, we’re very confident Mello will have a great time during his upcoming stays.”

About: Hi, I’m Michelle. I’m a longtime dog owner with over 16 years of experience, and I recently returned to Rover after taking a few years’ hiatus to care for our senior pup full-time. We recently said goodbye to our sweet girl, Mika, who was with us for 16.5 wonderful years. Caring for her taught us so much about patience, comfort, and the extra love senior dogs need. While we’re not quite ready to adopt again, we would truly love to share that love with your pup. My husband and I have a calm, dog-free home, which allows us to give your dog our full attention in a peaceful, low-stress environment. We have a special place in our hearts for senior dogs and those who may need gentler care, but we love pups of all ages. Your dog’s days will include two walks (adjusted for age and energy level), playtime or cozy downtime, treats with your approval, and lots of affection and belly rubs. I also provide photo updates and check-ins so you can feel confident your furry family member is happy and well cared for. My goal is simple: to make your dog feel safe, loved, and at home while you’re away. A Few Things I’d Love to Know To provide the best care possible, please let me know: • Any special needs or medical considerations • If your dog experiences separation anxiety • Feeding schedule, diet, medications, or allergies • Their daily routine and energy level • Favorite comforts, routines, or quirks Important Note Extended stay: An additional $25 day rate applies if pick-up is over the 24-hour period. Your pup will get plenty of attention. We can go for walks and have some play time. Ofcourse (if your pet is older we will go for shorter walks) They’ll get treats and belly rubs. We have a patio with grass they can go potty anytime :) I have a cozy and fenced patio. They can sit and lay out by the sun. I also have a grassy area for potty breaks anytime the want.

I am comfortable with daily walks, feeding, playtime, basic training, and making sure dogs feel safe and comfortable. Since I have been around dogs for so long, I understand that every dog has a different personality and routine. I am active, and reliable, and I will treat every pet like they are my own, I am also patient with shy or nervous dogs and good at following each owner’s specific instructions. I am currently working part-time, so I have a very open and flexible schedule for pet care. I have plenty of time throughout the week to give dogs the attention, exercise, and care they need. I have been around dogs my whole life, so taking care of them fits naturally into my daily routine. Whether your dog needs a walk, playtime, feeding, or just someone reliable to check in on them, I will make sure they are cared for and treated like my own. “Sandee is such a kind, gentle woman. She immediately got down and greeted my pup. She sent me pictures throughout the day & even filled me in on her concerns of my dog, not eating. (Which is totally normal, when she’s a lil nervous). Sandee’s house & backyard is a zen zone . So tranquil & peaceful. Love love ❤️ 100 recommend :)!! Thank you Sandee!!”

“Our dog Ziggy loves going to Josh's! Josh has a perfect outdoor and indoor set up and gives Zig lots of attention and love while he's there. Ziggy always comes back super happy.”

“William is super awesome. He took great care of our young pup and was a very cool and funny guy to boot. He was definitley flexible and super responsive. He’ll be a great buddy for my buddy going forward.”

“My dog, Bella, had an amazing time at Robert and Andrea’s house while I was at work. Indy, their sweet dog, was such a good host too! It was my first time doing “day care” and they made me feel so assured and provided updates as my pup settled in. They went out of their way to make us both feel comfortable. I will definitely be requesting to have them pet sit again!!”

“She's great. My dog has never been with anyone but family and she is able to comfort him. With my schedule changing, it is wonderful having her as a backup for work. Like I said, she's great.”

About: Hi! I’m a dedicated and loving dog sitter with experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages. Dogs have always been a big part of my life, and building trust and connection with each one comes naturally to me. While I absolutely have a soft spot for dogs and love giving them attention and affection, I also understand the importance of structure. I’m confident in setting boundaries, giving clear commands, and maintaining routines so your dog feels safe, balanced, and well cared for. I currently study from home and don’t have other job commitments, which means I have plenty of time and flexibility to give your dog the attention they deserve—whether that’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company. Your dog will be in caring, capable hands with me, and I’ll treat them like part of my own family. Though I am a college student and can’t own my own pet full time, this summer I have more than enough time to give your pets structure and balance, making them feel as home as possible. I study from home, and enjoy taking breaks by taking walks outside or visiting friends who live around the neighborhood. I am almost always at home as I have no other commitments that require me to be away from home for multiple hours of the day, so I can give optimal attention to your pets. I have a fenced yard, and my room is right next to the back door. I have an open area in the living room for play space, as I also enjoy the outdoors and have a very friendly and calm neighborhood and community around me.
“Hooli had a great doggy day care with Shane and Chris! It was our first time leaving our 7.5month old puppy and I could tell she was in good hands. We received lots of photos and updates which put mind at ease!”

“Kylie is very responsive and communicates well, which I appreciate. My dog enjoys his days playing with their 2 dogs and others they care for. I’ll definitely continue using their services.”

About: We’re a dog-loving family of four offering a calm, safe place for your pup to feel at home. I’ve had dogs since I was 10, so caring for them is second nature, and your dog will be treated like part of the family while they’re here. Our dog, Sunshine, is a 4-year-old Aussiedoodle who is incredibly sweet and great with other dogs. She can be a little shy at first, but warms up quickly and loves having a buddy around. I work from home, so your dog will have plenty of attention throughout the day—whether that’s hanging out nearby, playing outside, or just relaxing. We have a fully fenced yard with real grass, lots of plants to sniff, and a sunny patio for lounging. Inside, our home is very low-key and relaxed. We also have two kids (15 and 12) who are gentle, respectful, and love spending time with dogs. Whether your pup wants to play, nap, or just be near people, we create a comfortable, easygoing environment where they can settle in and feel safe. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine since I work from home and am with my dog, Sunshine, all day. Dogs in my care are rarely left alone and can spend the day hanging out with me, getting attention, and going in and out of the yard as they like. Our routine is pretty low-key and flexible, so I’m able to adjust to each dog’s needs—whether that’s more playtime, rest, or sticking to a specific schedule. Walks, feeding, and outdoor time are all built into the day, and evenings are calm with the whole family around. Because this is already how our home operates, adding another dog feels very natural and not like a disruption to our routine. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. Since I work from home, they get plenty of attention throughout the day and are rarely left alone. Dogs are free to relax inside, spend time with us, or play in our fully fenced yard. I follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, and any specific instructions you provide.

From the start, she was incredibly patient during both drop-off and pick-up, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. About: I've had dogs my entire life, and caring for them has always been a big part of who I am. As a lifelong dog owner, I understand that every dog has unique needs, routines, and personalities. My own dog is now a senior and can't enjoy the long walks and hikes we used to take together, so I'd love the opportunity to spend that time with other dogs who still enjoy those adventures. I've been caring for neighbors', family friends', and relatives' dogs since I was young, giving me experience with dogs of all ages and temperaments. I've also helped with puppy training and understand the importance of consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement. I'm flexible, dependable, and detail-oriented. Whether your dog needs a strict routine followed closely or a customized schedule based on their individual needs, I'll make sure they receive attentive, loving care. My goal is to treat every dog like my own and give owners peace of mind while they're away. My schedule is very flexible, which allows me to provide dependable and attentive care for your pets. I work part-time both from home and at a local coffee shop, but my shifts are typically only about four hours long. This makes it easy for me to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits, walks, and check-ins. I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors, so I’m happy to fit pet care into my daily routine and give your pets the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. When caring for pets, my top priorities are safety, comfort, and maintaining their normal routine. For house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, medications, exercise needs, and household rules. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and comfort level, so I take time to build trust and make sure they feel secure while you are away. I also provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for in their own familiar environment.
“Aria has watched and cared for Sierra prior to me joining rover. She has done a great job communicating with me and taking care of Sierra. This included overnights and giving her a pill each day. She has a dog of her own named Millie who gets along with Sierra.”

About: I've had taken care of multiple dogs from pug, beagle, and boxer all of which me and my family have taken care of since they were puppies. Currently my family has a pug, Angelo, who is 8 years old and I also take care of my cousin's beagle who is 9 years old. My cousin has trusted me with dropping in and feeding her beagle, along with feeding and playtime. I'm currently a full-time college student, who loves to be with animals and take care of them. Winding down with animals helps my mental health and with my class schedule allows me to have more time take on new challenges. For drop-ins, I would love to have a feeding schedule along with a safe environment to get to know pet and owner. Many toys and treats to play/help train pet be more comfortable in a home. In addition to helping the pet being comfortable with new people.

About: I have grown up with dogs all my life. I have been taking care of my dog since my family got her about 13 years ago. I have also taken care of friends and families pets for a while now. Other than when I have class I am free pretty much anytime to pet sit. Caring for pets at my home or in a client's home requires following specific instructions, maintaining routines, and ensuring their safety and comfort. This involves adapting care to each pet's unique needs, providing exercise, and addressing any health concerns.

I have experience walking different dogs as I volunteered for dog walking for Petsmart and Petco when they have adoptions. I am responsible, kind-hearted, and compassionate for animals. While in my care, I will always ensure the safety of your pets as if they were my own. This is currently my only job so I am able to be with your pets as often or as long as needed! I know some pets may require more attention than others and can work with their schedule. I will treat your pet just like I do mine. Plenty of attention, make sure they have food, plenty of water, and any other special things they like during the day
“Audrey was such a gem! My dogs loved her, and she was super reliable and communicative. I was out of town for a work trip and it gave me such peace of mind to know my pups were in good hands. I’ll definitely use her again and would recommend her in a heartbeat!”

About: I have taken care of dogs eight years of my life! I have also have dogs along the way as i’ve grown up as well as seeing dogs everyday at my old job at Dutch Bros Coffee. Neighbors and friends have trusted me with their animals. I have noticed dogs and cats often feel safe with me quickly and i feel that it’s due to their ability to sense a humans positive energy. My goal is to make your dog or cat feel safe and loved as their owner does and it’s a perk for me because I get to spend time with an animal!! I do school full time but that is fully online so I can be fully available for that. And depending on pay and your schedule, i would be working at another job and would adjust my hours accordingly to fit your needs. I know how scary it can be to trust your animal with a stranger let alone trust that they will be there enough to attend to the dogs/cats needs but that would be my priority and im flexible!!! The services will definitely depend on the owners wishes. I will live with other dogs in my home so it would be a better idea to take care of the animal in the owners home to prevent any conflict with different animals. Again, i’m flexible.

About: In addition to caring for my own lovely cat and senior pup, I have pet sat for friends and family members regularly for the past 10+ years. I have experience with fur babies with a range of quirks, behaviors, and medical needs, so I am prepared for anything that comes my way. I am a graduate student with a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to spend caring for critters, especially during the upcoming summer break! I am very careful and safety-conscious, so you can be sure I will leave your home secure and comfortable for your pets when I visit.

“Michael is a huge help with our girl Nala! She is anxious and afraid of most people but took to Michael bc of his patience and experience. Thank you for getting Nala to come out of her shell more during her weekly walks!”

About: My friends and neighbors count on me to check on and sit their animals, and I regularly walk my own pups with their neighborhood furry friends. I grew up with Rottweilers, and have embraced small dogs in recent years. I'm 6ft and 200lbs, and am comfortable with a variety of sizes of dogs. I currently have total flexibility in my schedule and am happy to help with pet care throughout the day. I'm just getting started on Rover, but I've been a dedicated pet parent for almost a decade and love the way it enriches my life. I'd be happy to extend the same level of care and understanding I give to my own pets to yours. I live with my two pups in a small condo complex, where I have an enclosed back patio and immediate access to a very walkable neighborhood. I am comfortable entering friends' homes and allowing the animals to acclimate at their own pace, and am just as happy taking pets for walks as I am keeping them company in their own homes.

“Marissa and her partner took amazing care of my Frenchie! I received daily updates, and it was clear he was having a great time. He came back happy, relaxed, and well cared for. I’ll definitely be using them again!”

“Savanah is wonderful with Bailey! He goes right to her and settles in. We know Bailey is safe and well cared for. And we had a little change in schedule, with Savanah being flexible and easy to work with. We hope to book her again soon!”

“Highly recommended! My 12 year old Husky Zeus had a great time while I was out of town. I was updated along the way and sent pictures of him enjoying his self. Will definitely use Kylie and Anthony again in the near future!”

“Anar took wonderful care of our dog Ace for a full 8 days during Christmas and the new year. She kept us updated daily with pictures and how he was doing. We couldn’t recommend her more!”

“Shakyra took great care of our pup and sent picture updates which were greatly appreciated! Will definitely leave our pup with Shakyra again and highly recommend”

“I can't recommend Jason highly enough for dog boarding! My dog, Nova, stayed with him and his lovely family for two weeks, and I was genuinely impressed. I received regular updates, complete with pictures and videos, which helped ease my mind while I was away. Not only did Jason provide excellent care, but he also took the time to do some training with Nova, which I appreciate immensely. As a thoughtful touch, he even gave Nova some gifts and a gift card, showing his kindness and dedication. Thank you, Jason, for taking such great care of my baby. Nova had a fantastic time, and I’ll definitely bring him back!”

“very happy with the boarding we had with Alyssa. She was the perfect amount of communicative and sent photos daily with how my dog was doing. I know my dog had a great time as well since she knocked out as soon as she got home from all the fun she had”

“Outstanding pet sitter. Kept us updated at all times on our baby’s status. Huge plus was her prior experience with bully breeds and their various, mysterious ways. Felt comfortable right away after leaving her behind. Jocy is super detail oriented and very attentive to all doggie needs. We would absolutely book her again. 100% recommend. Thanks Jocy!”

“The minute we met Hana, something told us our dog Pollie would receive excellent care. And she did! Every day Hana sent videos of Pollie reassuring us that all was well. (We hadn’t left her in the care of someone else in the past 9 years.) Without a doubt we would trust Hana to care for Pollie again in the future.”

“I cannot recommend Katelyn and Paul enough! They were great with sending photos and keeping me updated while I was out of town. Basil is exhausted from all the fun she had, and I know she was taken care of and loved while I was gone.”

“We just left our two dogs with Sam for a 4 night stay and they seemed to have loved it! Sam really takes the time to interact with the dogs and exercise them. They almost didn't want to come home - that's a huge testiment to Sam's level of care. He will be our sitter from here on out!”

“Susanne took great care of my dog! She was very kind and understanding of my dog’s needs, and my dog enjoyed his stay. I appreciated the regular pictures and updates that she sends. I definitely recommend booking with Susanne, and I’ll be sure to book again when needed!”

“Shelby and her family were kind enough to allow my pup to spend the holidays with them. She is an energetic dog, so knowing she was being taken on walks, runs, to the dog park, etc. meant so much! If you’re looking for your pup to get lots of love and playtime, highly recommend Shelby!”
