“Lori is the most compassionate and caring dog sitter I’ve ever met. My dog was injured while I was out of town, and she picked up and took care of my dog with such kindness and compassion. She communicated with me all throughout the day and night until I was able to make it back home. Ziggy & I are so grateful for her. I couldn’t recommend a sitter more!!! She’s amazing!!!”

“Lillie was wonderful, and I would highly recommend her! It was our first time leaving Bear with her- she sent lots of photos and videos which gave us peace of mind. Bear has issues with anxiety but came home a very happy boy! Thank you Lillie!”

“This was our 2nd time with Alex and Bri and we are so happy that the pups have found their home away from home. They treat our dogs like they are their own and send pictures over frequently during their stay. I hate to say it but I think one of them wishes they were still there. I highly recommend them!”

“This was our first time boarding our dog and the experience with Dustin and his Rover partner was fantastic. Our dog appeared happy and healthy when we came to pick her up and we think that the socialization with the other dogs on the property was really good for her!”

“Hsiaolei provided Lulu the absolute best attention and care. They were extremely attentive to her needs, taking her on loads of hikes because she is an energetic dog. The photos she sent us during our time away showed Lulu visibly smiling, whether on her pad by the fire or out on a walk. I highly recommend Hsiaolei!”

“Tammy and her family provided the perfect home away from home for my anxious dog! My vacation was considerably more relaxing than usual due to Tammy's expert care and frequent status reports and pictures. I'm so grateful I found Tammy!!! :)”

“Wonderful sitter! Took great care of Scout and kept me updated with photos/videos. Scout went on fun hikes and looked so happy and well cared for the entire time. Highly recommend!”

“Ashish was an amazing Dog Sitter. I was leaving my eight month old puppy for 15 days and was very nervous. As soon as I dropped my dog off with Ashish I felt completely comfortable. He went above and beyond The duty and sending videos and pictures I could see from those pictures and videos that Ari was very well taken care of. I will definitely be using him for all my future trips. Ashish gave me peace of mind when I needed it most.”
“Sylvie and Jonathan were great with our Lucy! They were very flexible in scheduling and extending her stay due to changes in our travel plans. They had Lucy come over for a pre-stay visit to familiarize herself to their house and grounds before her actual stay. They communicated daily with photos with how she was doing. Nice to have someone to keeps our pet family members when we are unable to travel with them.”

About: I grew up with dogs and know firsthand how much they become part of the family. Our beloved dogs, Bonbon and Bambii, were like siblings to me, and I loved spending time with them on walks, hikes, and playtime adventures. Although I don't currently have pets of my own, I miss that special connection and would love the opportunity to care for and spend time with your furry companions. I also have experience looking after my sister's dog, Toast, and always enjoy giving pets the attention, exercise, and affection they deserve. I will treat your pets with the same love and care I would give my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time outdoors and being around animals. I love starting my mornings with a walk, hike, or run, and I'm available between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM for dogs who need exercise, fresh air, and attention before the day begins. In the evenings, I enjoy going on walks after work, usually from 7:00 PM onward. This gives me dedicated time to focus on your pet, whether that means a relaxing walk, playtime, or simply keeping them company. Having grown up with dogs and caring for my sister's dog, Toast, I understand that pets thrive on consistency, affection, and quality time. Caring for pets doesn't feel like a chore to me, it's something I genuinely look forward to and enjoy incorporating into my weekly routine.🐶🤍 When caring for pets in a client's home, I prioritize keeping them comfortable by maintaining their usual routine as closely as possible. I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any special preferences. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, and exercise while also respecting their individual personalities and needs. I believe communication is important, so I am happy to provide updates, photos, and messages to give pet parents peace of mind while they are away. My goal is to create a safe, calm, and loving environment where pets feel secure and cared for in their familiar surroundings.
“Susan was great with our Walter. He loved gardening with her and exploring her lovely property. She always responded quickly and even sent some pictures. We will definitely contact her next time we travel.”

“Wenxin took such good care of my dog Smiley, she showered Smiley with love, care, and patience. Smiley really enjoyed every minute. Strongly recommend Wenxin for anyone who needs help with their dog.”

About: I have cared for a wide variety of animals over the years. I spent several years volunteering at a veterinary clinic and later at a humane society, where I gained hands-on experience in animal care, handling, and support. I telework so I am at home most of the day. When I do leave, my dog gets to hang out in the dog run where he has access to comfy beds, toys and an upstairs patio where he can keep an eye on all the goings-on. I have a fully fenced yard that provides a safe, secure space for dogs to run, play, or relax comfortably. With my previous experience volunteering at a veterinary clinic, I am confident and comfortable administering medications when needed.
“This whole process of pet sitting was unfamiliar and a whole new experience for us but Nadine welcomed us into her home like family which made it all easy. Romeo felt so comfortable during our arrival that as she opened the door he let himself right in and didn't look back. Romeo stayed for 5 nights and Nadine kept us updated regularly communicating by messages and sending us memorable photos of him and her pups while on our vacation. Romeo looked so comfortable and happy to be part of the group. We felt our dog was being well taken care of as Romeo was her own. Her family and pups did a great job keeping him comfortable and happy which put us at ease while we were thousands of miles away from home. I highly recommend Nadine and will be going back to her in the future! Thank you so much!!”

“Alexis was great. I had to make a last minute booking and she was very prompt to arrange a meeting with my dog and I. I left Nikki at Alexis overnight and she took great care of her. She even accommodated her sleeping needs. Alexis has a beautiful property with lots of space for the doggies to run around and feel free. I will definitely bring Nikki to Alexis again!”

About: I've been an animal lover my entire life, and cats have always held a special place in my heart. Growing up our home was often ruled by as many as 5 cats at a time, and as an adult I've been lucky enough to share my life with 3 cats of my own. Caring for them through every stage of life has taught me a lot about patience, trust and the eclectic personalities that make cats so wonderful. I love learning about animal behavior and body language so I can help pets feel safe, understood and comfortable. I believe in meeting them where they are and earning their trust at their own pace, no matter the personality type.

About: During my time in college I lived in a 1 bedroom apartment by myself which felt a bit lonely, so I decided to sign up to foster adult cats. Because of this my experience with cats may be less than someone who grew up with them, but let me tell you: foster cats are no joke. I have dealt with any type of temperment you can think of, and administered many types of medication from pills to SQ injections. In the last 2 years I had 8 different cats call my place their home, and I wouldn't change it for anything. I have recently moved to the Bay and can no longer foster cats, so I would be more than pleased to cat sit for you!

“Bethany did an amazing job taking care of my cat, Vanya! Vanya is a very shy girl but she warmed up to Bethany immediately. Bethany was super communicative and so, so friendly! highly recommend her!”

About: I have had cats my entire life, and since I was old enough to understand what they were I fell in love haha! My cats mean the world to me, and every cat I meet becomes a new friend. I am a very attentive person, and understanding each cats needs in very important to me. I am always watching and listening to make sure they are 1- happy and 2- safe.
“I am so happy with the care Edward gave my two young cats. I felt perfectly free to enjoy my time away from home, knowing they were in his capable hands. He was professional, start to finish.”

“Melissa has been an amazing friend to my 16 year old cat. She is efficient, trustworthy and happily follows any detailed instructions. When I come home, I think my cat misses Melissa!”

“Tiffany was amazing to work with! Great communication and care, I felt extremely comfortable leaving my cat in her care and will definitely be rebooking. Very friendly, responsive, kind and professional. Thank you Tiffany!”

“This was Kat's first time sitting for our kitten Peanut, and she exceeded our expectations across the board. Communication was excellent — she shared regular updates and sent us genuinely fun photos that we loved getting throughout the trip. When we hit an unexpected schedule change, Kat was completely accommodating and made it a non-issue. The house was just as clean as we left it. She followed everything we asked, from the litter box routine to stripping the bed before we got back. Most importantly, Peanut was visibly happy and well-adjusted when we returned — you can always tell when a sitter has actually engaged with your pet, and she clearly had. Peanut was so comfortable with Kat that we were able to fully relax and enjoy our vacation. We will absolutely have her sit for Peanut again. Highly recommend.”

About: I have been petsitting and dog walking for at least 5 years, and I love getting to play, take care of, and walk animals as if they were my own. I have lots of experience with animals of all ages, energy levels, medication requirements, and general needs. All of my countless past petsittings have been word of mouth, but having relocated for school I am now hoping to meet local Petaluma pups and cats! I work during the day, but I can check on and hang out with animals in the mornings, evenings, and weekends as well as ocasional work-from-home days! I have lots of experience staying in pet owners’ homes, and with that, experience working security systems and making sure doors or gates are locked when they need to be!

“Michelle crushed it! She went above and beyond to make sure my fur babies were taken care of and got lots of love while I was gone :) I’ll definitely be booking her the next time I need a pet sitter!”

“I recently had Madison house sit and pet sit for nearly two weeks, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. She took wonderful care of my cat, playing with him multiple times a day and regularly sending pictures so I always knew how he was doing. It's clear she genuinely loves animals. I came home to a happy, relaxed cat, just as I had left him. Madison was also incredibly responsive throughout the stay. Any time I had a question, she replied quickly and put my mind at ease. She also left the house in great shape, which I really appreciated. Leaving your pet with someone new can be a worrisome experience, but I never felt anxious once with Madison. I was completely at ease knowing my cat and home were in such capable, caring hands. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive pet sitter, and I will absolutely be hiring her again without hesitation.”

“Georgia was wonderful! My older cat warmed up to her right away. Georgia sent pictures and kept us informed of how she was doing during her drop-in visits. I would highly recommend Georgia and would definitely book her again!”
About: Hello; I'm a lifelong animal lover with over 10 years experience caring for and living with all dogs big and small. I'm flexible, reliable, and love walking, hiking, and staying with pets. I currently work as a part-time illustrator and personal chef, but have most of my day open to devoting to your pets. I'm able to stay with and care for animals (both short and extended term), and am also available for drop-ins, walks, and hikes. I've cared for many pets and homes (both long and short term) for over a decade. I love taking dogs out to the trail, the beach, and the park, and also have experience with various walking, medication, and care routines.
About: I have been professionally caring for dogs and cats in-home for about 5 years part-time, but I was raised in a home that routinely took in stray and surrendered animals. I am a lifelong vegetarian and 10-year vegan with a deep love for all creatures. In addition to caring for animal companions, I like to leave homes better than I found them. Whenever possible, I do some light housekeeping so that when folks return from their trips, they come back to happy animals and a cozy home where they can just put their bags down and crawl into a bed! PLEASE NOTE: Any requests (by folks I’ve never worked with before) to book additional time off of the Rover app will be declined. This is a safety issue for both parties — I do not enter strangers’ homes without safeguards and advise against folks needing pet sitting services to allow strangers into their home without safeguards. Rover is a means to provide that safety measure prior to establishing a trusting relationship. My posted rates are firm. I ask that folks not haggle or try to negotiate an initial pet-sit off of the app for a cheaper rate.

“Steven hosted my dog over for doggy day care when I received a last minute cancellation from another sitter. All worked out great. Steven had prompt communication, understood dog behavior and needs, followed through on my requests on how to care for my dog. Perfect experience, highly recommend! My dog will be back!”

“Kylie was great to communicate with and she took really good care of my dog Mochi! She cares for her dog really well. It was relieved to know my dog has someone like this watching him when I’m away!”

“Robert and Sheila were fantastic! They were responsive and easy to work and took great care of our little one, Shelby. Their sweet dog Yoti was patient with our timid and over-attached dog Shelby. Yoti is friendly and welcoming……just like Robert and Sheila. Their home had a beautiful back yard where the dogs can roam together, and Rob is there with them all day while he works. We were fortunate to find them.”

“We had a great daycare experience with Shayla & Jacob. They were very responsive & patient to the many questions we had regarding our first visit. Mack our 85 pound lab had a great play date with plenty of space. We especially liked the way that Mack took to Jacob upon their first meeting. We absolutely recommend Jacob & Shayla and will be back at n the future!”

“Dustin took such great care of our pup! Really appreciated his great communication and quick responses both before and during our dog's stay. Our dog usually gets anxious when we're away from him, but he was a happy boy when he came back from staying with Dustin! Can tell Dustin really cares for animals. Would definitely work with him again! Also our dog loved running around his spacious yard. :)”

She has a great outdoor area for dogs to play in, and space in the house to explore. My pup came home happy and smiling after 2 days of day care with Susana. I highly recommend her for day care.”

“Just visiting the area and super grateful to have found Jestina so I could attend an event. She loved my energetic boxer mix as if she were her own. About: I have always loved being around animals of all kind. I have a deep trust in them because of their innocent nature, and I am deeply compelled to love and protect them. I work part-time and have a fair amount of flexibility in my schedule for the time-being. I have a young male pup named Bigelow who loves to play with other dog-friendly doggos. He and I would love the company of other dogs at our home, out on leash walks, hikes and trail outings, and on off leash beach and park playdates. Biggy adapts to the playstyle of his friends; he is a wonderful combination of fast, agile, gentle and sweet, and naturally responds to the dominance/submission of his pals. I have a fenced yard with 1 young and friendly dog, and one indoor/outdoor kitty who reluctantly tolerates the presence of dogs who do not chase after him. There is an unheated pool that the dogs will have access to swim in. The pool will not be supervised constantly so it is important to know that your sweetie can swim if necessary, and can use the stairs to exit the pool. There are sunny and shady spots, stairs, deck space, and several dirt/grass spaces for potty spots. Doggies can roam freely and play around the fenced yard space, and will have access to indoors for meals, quiet times, rest times, and when weather insists. Doggies sleep indoors/outdoors on dog beds, crates, or the couch. Doggos need to be potty trained and should be able to sleep through the night without potty access until 7 am. Your doggy will be in safe and loving hands with us. It is our duty and honor to love and protect them as our own.
“Judy did a wonderful job with our Sunshine. She had the extra pressure of dealing with two dogs who were unfamiliar with each other. Because of Judy we were able to enjoy day at the Safari while on vacation.”

“Xi was fantastic with Roly. I was nervous because I've never left this pup with a sitter before. She sent me multiple videos and pictures throughout the time she was watching him and was very communicative, which is great for a nervous dog mom.”

“Staying with Noey is like the best day at dog camp, ever. She’s the friendliest dog lover who truly enjoys hosting play dates with her own two beautiful little furry guys. 5 stars for Noey. Best Rover In The Bay Area!”

“Adriana is lovely to work with and conscientious about watching the dogs and making sure they are safe as they play. She has a nice play area for the dogs. My dog loved her young Golden Retriever and they had a great time”

About: I have had animals of all kinds in my home since I can remember. I grew up believing I would become a vet; I instead pivoted into neuroscience, but my love of animals still remains! I grew up with a German shepard -Rottweiler mix which has given me a soft-spot for large breed dogs, but I love everything with four legs! I have been volunteering at animal shelters as a dog walker and foster home since I was 12 years old, giving me experience with a range of animal's temperments and needs. I am experienced with reactive dogs and shy dogs, and am happy to cater my skills to your animal's needs. Note: I am also a runner and would be happy to take your dog for a run if they are well-behaved on a leash. I am currently between jobs, so I am happy to cater to your schedule. Open to becoming your weekly dog walker, or go-to house-sitter. Feel free to reach out about scheduling details! I am an incredibly calm person and I hope to carry that with me in my pet care. If welcomed into your home I will be nothing but grateful, and will follow any house rules you set.
About: Hi there, I’m Chris! I’ve had some kind of pet in my life ever since I was little, from cats to dogs to aquatic acquaintances! I currently have two cats that bring me so much happiness. I’ve been my friend’s and family’s go to pet sitter for many years due to my obvious love of pets and animals. I’ve taken care of all sizes of dogs and of all ages, as well as mixed species pet families. I establish bonds with the animals I care for which can sometimes make it hard to say goodbye. I adore puppies due to their excitable nature and high energy! Cats have a special place in my heart because of the memories I share with the cats I’ve had but if you were to ask me if I was a cat or dog person; I’d say, “Why can’t you be both?” LGBTQIA+ friendly I graduated from college with a degree in anthropology and am now back in my hometown working a part-time contract job. My work schedule is very flexible so with enough time’s notice I can work any request into it. I am typically free to feed and walk pets in the morning and evening, as typical schedules go. Please let me know if there are any special requests or needs for your animal! I understand the importance of an animals happiness and mental state. I am very much used to taking care of pets in other’s houses and will follow the rules of the house perfectly. I have house sat in Kosher households before so I am familiar with the importance of following set rules. I am okay with pets that sleep on the bed with the owner or having to crate up a pet for the night. I am a private person and often keep to myself; I don’t cause a ruckus! I keep things nice and tidy just like the saying goes, “a place for everything and an everything in its place.”

Your pet and your trust is my priority. I ensure yours and your pet’s comfort by attending to specific needs of your pup. I am very respectful of others homes and boundaries. Most importantly, I will always make sure your pup is safe while having fun!

Whether it’s morning walks, play sessions, feeding, or simply offering quiet companionship, I prioritize pets’ well-being and happiness every day. This means I can adapt my schedule to meet your pet’s specific needs—whether that’s extra playtime, medication administration, or simply being a calm presence while you’re away. Our family continues to heal from the loss of our beloved cat, Giraffe, last year. Caring for animals has been a vital source of comfort and strength as we embrace this new chapter. I’m dedicated to creating a clean, calm, and nurturing environment where pets feel safe and cherished. I look forward to providing thoughtful, reliable care for your furry family members while you’re away. Pet care is not just a job for me; it’s a source of inspiration and joy that fits naturally into my lifestyle and supports the balance I’m building in life here in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, my goal is always to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free environment tailored to their needs. In Your Home: I follow your routines closely — feeding schedules, exercise, medication, and any special instructions — so your pet experiences as little disruption as possible. I keep their space clean, respect their boundaries, and offer companionship and playtime based on their personality and energy level. I also ensure your home stays tidy and secure while you’re away. In My Home: If your pet stays with me, they’ll be welcomed into a calm, comfortable space where I prioritize consistency and care. I maintain a clean, pet-friendly environment with plenty of attention, exercise, and mental stimulation. I’m attentive to signs of stress or discomfort and adjust accordingly to keep them happy and relaxed. No matter the setting, I treat every animal like family — with patience, respect, and affection — ensuring they feel safe and loved throughout their stay.
About: Hi! A little bit about me… I have grown up with animals for as long as I can remember. From farm summer camps to taking care of neighbor’s pets to adopting dogs and cats from the local shelter, I have always loved having animals in my life. With around eight years of professional pet care experience, I offer pet walking, overnight stays and day care visits for dogs, cats and other pets. My main goals are to ensure your pet is comfortable, happy and safe, and that the owner feels the same. I understand being away from your pet is hard, so I want to provide as much comfort as possible. I have had experience with young, senior and challenging pets. I also volunteered at NorthBay Animal Services and Petaluma Pet Pals. Both were great experiences and allowed me to get to know many different pups and kittens. I’m excited to meet your furry friend! I just graduated from college at the University of Oregon and am home for a few months. I am looking for some sweet pets to hang out with and care for! My main goals are to ensure your pet is comfortable, happy and safe, and that the owner feels the same. I understand being away from your pet is hard, so I want to provide as much comfort as possible. I am responsible, reliable and gentle.
About: Born into a dog & cat home! Will love and care for your fur babies just as my own! I look forward to hearing from you. Pet care and love are guaranteed. I value kindness, inclusivity, and respect for all. I may not be the best fit for homes that align with MAGA or similar ideologies. Thank you for understanding. 🐾💗😇 Hi! Pet care and love are guaranteed!🐾💕 I’m available 7 days a week from 7 AM to 7 PM, and I’m located in the 707 area (Petaluma/Santa Rosa). I have my own reliable vehicle, so I’m dependable for early morning walks, last-minute drop-ins, and travel outside the area. I’m also happy to travel to Marin County and Solano County, including: • Marin: Novato, San Rafael, Corte Madera, Mill Valley • Solano: Vallejo, Fairfield, Benicia, American Canyon Every morning I make sure their cat bowls are full and fresh water is flowing. I mind their kitty littler boxes ( because they stay inside!) give them the amount if lovin they will allow and I'm off! Come home annnnnd repeat!
About: I am intuitive with animals and I connect with them easily. I am reliable and safe attending to the animal's care. Available by phone if you need me. I'm currently working part-time and I will be a reliable person in caring for your pets! If you would like to have a consult meet and greet I am available to do so. I love to take them on walks outside and pay attention to their needs throughout the day giving dogs a healthy lifestyle and lots of hugs, administering medication as needed and exercise

“Lillie was wonderful, and I would highly recommend her! It was our first time leaving Bear with her- she sent lots of photos and videos which gave us peace of mind. Bear has issues with anxiety but came home a very happy boy! Thank you Lillie!”

“Susan was great with our Walter. He loved gardening with her and exploring her lovely property. She always responded quickly and even sent some pictures. We will definitely contact her next time we travel.”

“Ross and family took amazing care of Clover and Willow! They seems extremely relaxed and to get along well with Millie. I didn’t worry about them during our trip. Super thankful and would love to have the girls stay again!”

“Robert sent updates everyday and I knew Riley and Luma were spoiled at his house. Riley is a senior and needs eye drops twice a day, Robert was understanding and provided what she needed.”

About: I’ve cared for cats and dogs for friends and family in London, Chicago and now Novato, and I genuinely love having animals around. I’ve looked after up to three dogs at once, including Australian Shepherds, Blue Heelers, puppies and other high-energy dogs, as well as Maine Coon cats. I also have a cat of my own, so I completely understand that every animal has their own personality, routine and quirks! I’m patient, easygoing and very comfortable working with animals who may be nervous, energetic, independent or a little more challenging. I know how stressful it can feel leaving a pet when they aren’t the easiest animal, and my goal is always to make sure they feel safe, happy and cared for while giving their owners peace of mind. I’m a full-time teacher, so I’m usually home by around 4pm on weekdays and have some morning availability depending on my school schedule. I’m also generally very available during school holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, summer and long weekends. I do travel occasionally to visit my family in Ireland, but I’m usually around and happy to work around your plans when I can. I have a separate room where my cat can have her own space, so I’m happy to discuss overnight stays with dogs who are comfortable around cats. If your dog and my cat aren’t a good match, that’s completely okay — I’ll always prioritize everyone’s safety and comfort. I would absolutely love to have a dog of my own one day, but for now pet sitting lets me enjoy spending time with animals while still having the flexibility to travel and visit my family. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own and make sure they get plenty of attention, care, walks, playtime and affection while you’re away. Schedule I’m a full-time teacher during the week and am usually home by around 4pm, with some morning availability depending on my school schedule. I’m available for evening walks and visits, and I have much more flexibility on weekends and during school holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, summer and long weekends. I do travel occasionally to visit family, so I always make sure my availability is clear and only accept bookings I can fully commit to. I adore all animals- spiders, dragons you name it 😂 my partner says I care more about them than humans. take the safety and comfort of every pet seriously. In my home, I provide a calm, clean and comfortable environment with plenty of attention, walks and playtime while also respecting when a pet needs space. I have a separate room where my cat can stay if a visiting dog is not comfortable around cats. For care in a client’s home, I follow your pet’s normal routine and your instructions closely, including feeding, walks, litter cleaning, medication and any specific safety needs. I’m patient with nervous, energetic or more challenging animals and will always prioritize their wellbeing and communicate with you if anything seems unusual.
“We could not have asked for a better experience for our dog. Cymantha took excellent care of her and gave her lots of love and attention. The regular updates and photos were great too. Our pup will be happy to visit Cymantha again next time we go out of town.”

“Deborah was fantastic! She was nice enough to accommodate us same day and could not have been nicer. We could tell instantly when we arrived that she was going to take great care of our dog Otto. She took him on walks, took him to the beach, sent lots of great photos, and even bought him some pup cups! Her children were also absolutely lovely and obviously made Otto feel comfortable and welcome. Highly recommend using Deborah services! You cannot go wrong!”

“We loved using Lauren for our dog’s weekend stay! She provided daily updates and accommodated our dogs needs really well. Will definitely use her services again!”
