“My boyfriend and I were headed out of town for a week and we were looking for an understanding and attentive caretaker. Roy was all of that and more. From our first encounter, he made Kobe feel safe and seen. This gave us the peace of mind that our sweet boy would be taken care of. While we were gone, Roy sent us morning and night pictures which we appreciated so much! He also sent us a cute Thanksgiving picture that is now one of my favorites in my camera roll. We will definitely be booking Roy again.”

It was clear that Martha May genuinely cared about Loki's comfort and well-being, and he was well cared for during his time with her. She treated my girl like one of her own, allowing her on the couch, bed, by her feet as she works from home, multiple walks a day, a hike, and exploring local parks. She sent SO many pictures everyday and kept me updated on my pups’s adventures. She is kind, compassionate, caring, and I simply cannot recommend her enough. “We were initially apprehensive about trying a new sitter for our dog, Teddy, who has separation anxiety and thrives on human companionship. However, Marcy immediately put our worries to rest. From the initial meet and greet to the day stays, she proved to be exceptionally caring and understanding of Teddy's needs. Entrusting Marcy with Teddy during our 15-day trip to Italy was a decision we are incredibly grateful for. Her communication was top-notch, striking the perfect balance between keeping us informed and respecting our time. The photos and updates she shared were reassuring and heartwarming, allowing us to enjoy our trip knowing Teddy was in loving hands. Marcy's attention to detail and genuine affection for Teddy shone through every interaction. Additionally, her conscientious approach to introducing Teddy to other dogs was particularly impressive. Marcy's skill in managing dogs' interactions and respecting their individual personalities ensured a comfortable and safe environment for Teddy. This level of care and understanding was a significant factor in our decision to choose Marcy for our future dog sitting needs. We wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking a compassionate, attentive, and skilled sitter.”

Cat caregivers near you - Richmond Grove
Prices are estimates per visit for 1 cat. Pricing may vary based on your search and includes a booking fee of 11%.

About: A little over three years ago I was gifted the honor of becoming a cat mom. I have long loved cats, taking in and rehoming abandoned cats and kittens. Over the last 3.5 years I have come to understand them so much more finding myself the adoptee of one of these such kittens. I am an entrusted cat sitter of 3 at the moment looking to expand my services and care. 😺

“Jenna was great with our two cats while we were out of town for the week! She made sure they had wet and dry food, water and clean litter boxes each day. Great communication and sent us pictures each day”

“Natalie is awesome. She has done a few drop ins for my cat. I used to leave him home alone, but he wouldn’t eat well and nervous when I got home. I love now that I come home and he is as content as can be. He eats and uses his litter box. He isn’t nervous and I love that I get so many pictures that I don’t feel guilty about taking the dog and leaving the cat lol. I think he’s getting as spoiled as the dog. Natalie is awesome.”

“Michelle is amazing: she really lives up to her name! We are new to Sac and Michelle took so much time and patience to support our kitty at our new home while we were away for the holidays. Michelle is very engaged with our kitty and always sends the best reports and pictures! You can’t go wrong with Michelle! 100% will rebook.”

“Jenna was great with our cats! I appreciated she was available on such a short notice and followed instructions as well as played with our cats. We will definitely have her sit for us again!”

“Dustin is the best! He is so friendly, kind of like family so you feel comfortable leaving your family pet and can relax on vacation. He watched our cat for us and even sent pictures daily. Will definitely use him for our next get away.”

“Jandy review Jandy has always gone above and beyond for our cats, both on routine daily visits and when one of our cats got sick and needed extra time and care. She cares about the enrichment of our boys and often brings them new treats and toys to try out. She also sends lots of lovely pictures and videos, and we appreciate her filling us in on how the cats are doing as she films the videos. The most recent time we were out of town, one of our cats, who is immunocompromised, came down with a fever, diarrhea, and lethargy. Jandy was helpful and informative as we were deciding next steps, and she was able to take him to the vet for us and get him started on some antibiotics and supportive care while we traveled home. She is knowledgeable about supplements that can help our little guy and even put together a little care package of them for us. He's now feeling much better and I think Jandy is just as happy about it as we are. She truly cares about our boys and has checked in with us multiple times to see how he is doing. Jandy is the whole package - loving, knowledgeable, responsible and communicative. Couldn't ask for better! ❤️”

“Jordan was super accommodating and flexible especially given the quick turnaround time of the request. Definitely book him if you're in need of some quality time spent with your pets!”

“Sarah is wonderful! I have two cuddly, social cats who enjoy human interaction while I’m gone. Sarah is a great communicator, shared plenty of pictures and updates, and my girls loved her. It was so nice to know my cats were in great hands.”

“Erika was fantastic. Not only was she able to fit us in on short notice over the holiday, but she went above and beyond caring for our cats. Really appreciated getting the detailed updates and photos each visit. Would absolutely book again.”

Currently have a full time job but find myself in one place most of the day so looking for ways to stay active! I’m available most weekends, and week day nights! I like to keep a clean space so am sure to clean up after animals, as well as have a safe space for them to play, eat, and use the bathroom!
“Morgan has done house visits on my cats multiple times! I always request for her services because she follows instructions and spends time with my kitties!”

“Michelle was fantastic! She went above and beyond and somehow managed to somewhat gain the trust of my two extremely shy kitties in just the 4 days I was gone! I would highly recommend and I’ll be using her again if I go out of town in the future!”

“Hope is one of the best sitters I ever have had. Not only is she very communicative and detail-oriented, she also takes very good care of my diva tuxedo cat. In addition, the amazing photos she took of my cat are something I can never do myself. I highly recommend Hope and am looking forward to have her visit my cat again soon.”

“Cannot recommend Holly enough! She watched my 2 cats for 6 days when the house we usually take our cats to when we travel had a last minute change of plans. Needless to say I was pretty worried But Holly made the situation so much better. She was very responsive, gave my cats cuddles and love (in addition to doing all the feeding / litter chores as requested) and gave me the perfect amount of updates and pictures!”

“We had a phenomenal experience using Roy as our pet sitter for Sadie. She is a special-needs dog who doesn’t do well around other dogs, has very high energy, and requires careful handling. Because of that, we take the decision of who cares for her very seriously. Roy exceeded our expectations. He was attentive, punctual, prepared, and extremely confident working with a high-energy dog. He was already familiar with the neighborhood and aware of the other dogs in the area, which gave us additional peace of mind. He followed instructions carefully and demonstrated excellent judgment throughout his time with Sadie. Most importantly, Sadie absolutely loved Roy. She had a fantastic time, and ever since she’s come home, she hasn’t stopped smiling. It’s rare to find someone who can connect so well with a dog that has unique needs. We are incredibly grateful to have found such a wonderful dog sitter in the Sacramento area. I highly recommend Roy to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and capable to care for their dog—especially if they have a high-energy or special-needs dog. 5/5 stars. Roy provided exceptional care, and we wouldn’t hesitate to trust him with Sadie again.”

“I couldn't ask for more from a dog sitter. Marcie followed my instructions, provided a comfortable environment with positive stimulation, kept me updated with messages/pics and was just an overall pleasant person. Wonderful job!”

“I have used Katherine twice now for doggy day care, she is very accommodating and understanding when things come up. She is great with our pup and she is always tried when she comes home which is exactly what we want. I know she takes great care of her and regularly sends me updates.”

“Mack had a great time with Grisel! She sent many photos throughout the day, and Mack was playing with other dogs and looked very happy. Grisel is very responsive and great with Mack!”

About: I love animals which includes pets! I come from a home that has two of the sweetest pitbulls. Moving out I of course got a cat, and she does well with dogs! I also watch my family member’s dogs at my home and they do excellent with her. Each pet is unique in their quirks and what makes this gig especially fun in figuring out what is it. Hire me to give your pet the care they deserve. I currently only work a part time job for 2 days out the week from 11-4pm. However my partner works full time at home and is my helper in this! We have the same values about pets and will ensure amazing care. Big living room area with tons of space to be in and rooms. Closed doors for alone time but most importantly front door with access to street closed off.
About: I started volunteering at the Antioch Animal Shelter in the 4th grade. Since then I have volunteered at numerous shelters and rescues, including the emergency animal shelter in Oroville after the Camp Fire. I'm Disaster Animal Rescue Team (D.A.R.T.) trained, animal CPR and first aid certified, and have years of TNR experience. I have had many exotics as pets, including a reef tank at one time. I have no issue feeding crickets and worms, but I can't feed snakes rodents. I'm a lifelong vegetarian, so that would traumatize me. Lol. I also love rodents, and currently have 2 rescue guinea pigs. Animal care and nutrition are a passion of mine. I'm also an expert teeth brusher! I brush my cats and dogs teeth every night and some of my pet sits as well. I'm very experienced giving medication, even pills to cats and my recently adopted cat Ricky is diabetic. Two of my regular cats I sit take meds, and one gets insulin injections, so I'm very comfortable with both and also know how to check blood glucose. Animals are allowed on the furniture in my home, even the bed. A couple of dogs I regularly sit sleep in the bed with me and my dogs. I treat other people's furbabies the way I would want my furbabies treated. I'm a helicopter pet parent so I totally understand how hard it is to trust someone with the ones you love. If I ever thought something was wrong with your pet I would notify you asap, and I have no issue taking an animal to the vet. I have a rescue dog who has occasional seizures and a rescue kitty with kidney disease that I give sub-q fluids to every day, so I am very comfortable with special needs animals. I'm pretty OCD when it comes to pet care. I actually have a pet thermometer and carry a microchip reader in my truck with an extra leash. You'd be surprised how many times I've used that chip reader! Being a helicopter pet parent I NEVER EVER leave an animal outside alone, not even in my fenced in yard. I don't take chances. I'm also obsessively clean, so your litter box will not be a hot mess when you return, and if your dog uses a potty pad no problem. I also have waterproof vinyl plank flooring so accidents and kitty puke is easy to clean up. :-D. When I board animals it is very much mi casa esu casa! I'm also more than happy to water plants when I do drop-ins as well, since I have them myself and am also a gardener. :-) I work from home 3 days a week and the other 2 days I come home for lunch since the office is only 2.5 miles from my house. I'm home most weekends as well. I follow the care instructions to the letter. If your pup requires a crate it must be brought with them, since mine are not crated. I am comfortable giving medication and supplements, measuring food, following a raw food diet, feeding exotics, etc. I'm also comfortable grooming for an extra fee, but will never ignore a mat in their fur or charge extra for daily grooming like toothbrushing.
“I’m so grateful to Achara for taking such good care of my pup! He did so well and had so much fun. Achara completely took my worries away from leaving my dog in a new place and sent me such good pictures! Thank you to Achara!”

“Great Doggy Daycare! Annie took wonderful care of my dog, Shiloh, during daycare. She was kind, professional, and kept great communication. Shiloh came home happy and relaxed, which tells me everything I need to know! I highly recommend Annie. Randy & Shiloh 🐾”

“Manuel is wonderful!! He took our dog Chunk in for a couple days of doggy daycare and the experience could not have been better. Not only did he have a great setup, he is responsive, sent photo updates, and genuinely cared about my dog being comfortable and happy!”

“Wunna was amazing! The moment our dog, Shadow, met him, they got along and Shadow trusted him immediately. He was flexible and accommodating of our schedule. He responded to our messages quickly too, which we really appreciated.”

I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes and I love and miss them very much ;(. I’ve built beautiful bonds with my dogs and I wouldn’t trade it for the world! For my new clients,I try to schedule meet and greets just to ensure we’re a great fit for each other and I’m not a complete stranger to your pup. It’s a great opportunity for us to discuss any expectations you may have or important information I need to know about your dog.I love meeting new dogs and being able to provide a welcoming environment and presence! “Wendy was great with my dog and really helped to ease his anxiety with a recent move. He was excited to get to her house each day. Would highly recommend! Thank you, Wendy!”

“My wife is going to have surgery at UCDAVIS medical center. We did not have a place to take our dog. Bari made the process easy and welcoming. This was a huge relief because it took away the burden of the uncertainty of what to do with our dog. Bari also knew how to handle our dog with the other dogs even though she was fearful. All around we had a tremendous experience with Bari.”

“Tanisha was fantastic with my dog Morty. My dog is reactive and nervous around new dogs, and she was willing to do whatever it takes to make sure he would feel comfortable with her and her dog. We did a meet and greet, followed by a test overnight board and test daycare. It was incredible to see how well my dog settled in with her. You can tell she cares a lot about the dogs she watches. I got a lot of pictures and videos of my dog while he was with Tanisha (more than I've ever gotten from a sitter). I highly recommend Tanisha!”

About: I work from home most of the week so i love taking break to go for walks or to give great pets! I’m a passionate animal lover with years of hands-on experience working with dogs. I understand their behaviors, needs, and personalities, and I care for every pet as if they were my own. You can travel stress-free knowing your best friend is in caring, experienced hands. I currently work from home and can be with your dogs pretty much all day. I do talk frequent walks around the neighborhood to stay active so bringing your dog with me is a must! I will cater to any needs your animal needs! If they love to lay around all day I’m down for that, as well as if they need to be very active i can do that as well!
“Ollie always loves the days when he gets to spend with Manmeet! In fact at drop off, he usually forgets in there and runs to meet her knowing he's gonna have a great day!”

Adventure-ready dog walkers - Richmond Grove

About: In my younger years I was known as that house you could trust your pets with, which sadly led to less boarding and daycare services and more abandonment of pets on my doorstep. I accepted each surrender because I always figured better here with me then on the streets. After successfully adopting out all these love bugs to people I knew and trusted over the years, I've found myself in smaller quarters. I've found comfort and fulfillment in caring for outdoor cats (commonly referred to as strays) Taking in an orange Tabby to call my own in the process. I've made friends with neighbors who share the same love and passion and through these connections found community - a cat community! I currently care for three cats (siblings), house-sitting as well while their human parents are away. Each individual cat has it's different wants/needs. Through these experiences I've learned gaining trust and love is different for each individual feline. I'm looking to expand my care/services to neighboring cat families mainly because I love cats and know how important it is to have a community of cat folks in your corner when duty, vacation or emergencies call. I'm currently employed by Uber Eats so I make my own schedule. I'm open to weekend care as well. The only thing I do religiously is cultural dancing on Wednesday nights. My current clients are all indoor kitties so I am used to securing the household, feeding on a schedule throughout the day and doing enrichment with them be that play or individual love and cuddle time. I prepare meals specific to each cats needs, keep litterboxes and surrounding areas clean and keeping water stations fresh.
About: Hi there! I’m Jenna and I have been around animals all of my life. I have been house sitting/ animal sitting for over 10 years now. I can take care of dogs of any breed, cats, horses, goats etc. I do work full time, but my partner works from home and they are able to provide care when i am at work. We can accommodate special requests I am in an apartment on the 1st floor. We have a dog park, and a lot of grassy areas nearby. I have a camera set up in my living room, that allows me to check on the animal throughout the day. We also have extra toys and treats for animals staying with us.

About: I’ve taken care of lots of types of dogs and cats. I have experience giving medicine to both dogs and cats ( I have experience with the cat burrito maneuver). I am patient with animals and do my best to meet them at their level. I am an owner of a high energy dog and she has taught me so much about talking care of pets. During the week, I have availability for lunchtime walks and evening hang. On the weekends, my schedule is much more open and I can be available whenever you need me. When taking a dog into a backyard I always make sure they are supervised. My pup is a jumper and can easily jump a fence. So I know what to look out for. When in a new spaces I always walk the fence line to check for any holes or loose boards. With indoor cats, I enter and exits the house carefully so nobody escapes. I understand cats can be shy, so i usually pick a spot and hang out quietly there and wait for the cat to come to me.
About: Animals have been part of my life from the very beginning. My family raised and cared for pets of all kinds, including Maine Coon show cats, a golden retriever, and a yorkie. I grew up surrounded by them, learning early how to read behavior, provide steady care, and build trust with different personalities and species. The only time I ever lived without an animal in my home was during my first two years of service in the Air Force. Since then, I have continued to share my life with dogs, cats, and the occasional more unusual companion such as a bird, a ferret, and a snake. Every one of them has been loved and treated as family. These days I share my home with Daxter (my orange tabby) and Catarina and Beretina (two crazy torbie sisters) who keep life entertaining in all the best ways. I am a veteran currently in school and I work part time as a martial arts instructor. Outside of that, I enjoy drawing, playing guitar, and video games. Among my friends I have become the go to pet auntie because I care for their animals as if they were my own. My goal is to bring that same level of attentiveness and genuine care to every pet I look after. Whether they are shy, energetic, quirky, or easygoing, I meet each animal with patience, respect, and a calm presence so they feel safe while you are away. I currently work part time as a martial arts instructor during the day, but my schedule is extremely flexible to accommodate both you and your pets’ needs I care for every pet with a focus on respect, clear communication, and their individual comfort levels. Whether a cat or dog is shy, social, or a little spicy, I follow their cues and let them set the pace. With many years of experience, including caring for my own three cats (Daxter, Catarina, and Beretina), I’m very attentive to both physical and emotional needs and quick to notice changes in behavior or stress. Your peace of mind matters just as much as your pet’s. If you’re away, I provide consistent updates and photos as often as you’d like so you always know how they’re doing. I welcome specific instructions or preferences because every pet has their own routine and every owner has their own comfort level. My goal is simple: your pet feels safe and content, and you feel confident that they’re in good hands.
About: I’ve always had animals around growing up - dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, horses… I took care of my sweet & (very!) energetic dog Missy (golden retriever/lab) for most of her life, and gave her lots of extra attention and medical care in her later years. Recently I’ve been dog sitting for neighbors and friends and it’s such a joy! I love having the opportunity to connect with animals and give them lots of love! 💗 My schedule is currently very open, so I’m available most days of the week as well as some weekends and can generally be available on short notice. I am able to care for your pet(s) in your home according to your specific needs. I’m a respectful and responsible individual and will always treat your home with care!
“Andrea has been walking my dog Jack for a a couple of weeks now and he has been so happy with her! He is skiddish and shy, but has taken very well to Andrea, which I think speaks well of her! They walk during lunch and he is so much more calmer in the afternoons and when I get home. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Marina is so great! She is reliable and she is always on time! We booked with her a couple times and Bentley is always happy and relaxed after spending time with her. I totally would recommend her and book with her again!”

About: I have proudly cared for dogs through every stage of life for over 9 years now. My services have earned the trust of numerous neighbors, friends, and family members, who have entrusted me with the well-being of their beloved fur babies. I maintain constant communication with them, ensuring they stay informed about their pets' welfare. In the past, I served as a dedicated dog walker for multiple neighbors, treating each precious pup as if they were my own. As a devoted dog mom myself, I extend that same level of care and affection to every animal under my watchful eye. Your fur baby will receive my undivided attention, and should any medical care be required during their stay with me, please don't hesitate to inform me—I'm more than willing to provide the necessary assistance. I am currently a full-time medical student and spend most of time at home studying with my Maltipoo. My schedule is very flexible and have wide availability for dog walking, daycare, and check-ins. Pets in my care receive personalized attention, regular feeding, and exercise. In my home, pets enjoy a safe and nurturing environment, attentive pet care, along with a fenced yard. I have a small Maltipoo dog with me as well and he can help keep your fur baby company and play with them, if that is something you would like your dog to do. In my client's home, I follow their specific instructions to ensure the pet's comfort and well-being. I will also constantly keep you updated on your pet’s care, since I know from personal experience how important and comforting it is to receive updates while my pet has been in care with others.

About: My family has always been a pet family, so I have been taking care of animals my entire life. In recent years, one of my pastimes has been walking dogs at shelters in order to meet their exercise needs. From big to small I have walked them all. I am currently a university student on summer break. My mornings to mid afternoons are free to take care of your pets. Weekends are also available. I am respectful of others homes and their preferences regarding their pets. Please let me know if you have any specific requests or things to avoid when taking care of your previous companion.

“I reserved time for my pup to spend the day with Achara and her dogs based on her reviews. She sent a couple photos to update me on his day. I picked him up and he was worn out! Archara is very responsive and responds quickly to messages. I would use her again.”

“I had concerns how my 5 year old rescued German Shepherd would adjust with the extended stay but Reginay handled him very professionally. She shared videos and kept us very informed which helped us extremely so we could enjoy our vacation. We are very glad we found her and know we can take future vacations with our boy being in good hands. Great Job Reginay!!!”

“Stop your searching here! Rebecca is a one and a million. I’m not living in Sacramento- but I wish I was so that she could consistently care for my sweet fur baby! I’m considering driving an extra two hours for an upcoming trip so that Rebecca can watch her again! Also- her home is perfect for your pet. She has a fenced in back yard with beautiful rose bushes, grass, and her neighborhood is safe & welcoming!”

“Noelle had great communication the whole time Holly was staying. She sent cute pictures each day, and Holly seemed totally relaxed at her place. Holly was wagging her tail like crazy at pick-up time, and I wonder if she even wanted to come home with me. 😆 Will definitely use Noelle in the future for watching Holly.”
