He is a rescue dog who has experienced trauma, and this was the very first time I had left him with someone since adopting him two years ago. From the moment I dropped him off, she understood exactly what he needed. Rather than pushing interaction, she gave Atlas the space and time to come to her on his own terms while he adjusted to a new environment. That patience and understanding meant so much to me. Throughout his stay, she sent frequent updates and pictures, which gave me tremendous peace of mind. She was always quick to respond whenever I reached out and made sure all of my instructions were followed carefully. If anything wasn’t clear, she asked questions rather than making assumptions. Most importantly, she treated Atlas like family. He received plenty of snuggles, attention, and playtime; including one of his favorite activities, fetch. It was obvious that she genuinely cared about his comfort and happiness. She went above and beyond to make both Atlas and me feel comfortable, and I am so grateful for the care she provided. The biggest sign of how well she cared for him came when I picked him up. Atlas was incredibly excited to see me, but after greeting me he ran back over to her for one last snuggle before we left. Danielle was very responsive and kept me informed the day Heath was in her care.”

I was not able to drop my dog off , but she was more willing to take my smaller dog in and cage him in a quiet room so he would feel safe. She also agreed to take him out for a walk. Due to the weather the same day we confirmed, but on the way cancelled and paid for the day care as this is her livelihood. We could have asked to cancel, but that is not what good pet parents do. They make sure people like Mrs. Achara are taken care of as well. I will use her in the future when we are in West Sacramento. Our dog is almost 15 and she was committed to taking care of him in the way we felt was best for him.”

She was available to accommodate Amara super last minute, which was life saving, and she really understood the needs of a senior doggo with a particular personality. She was very thorough, even communicating which vet she would use in case of emergency (don’t worry, no emergencies occurred!). They had a great time hanging out in her back yard, going on strolls and snuggling on the couch. Amara was a very happy girl at the end of her stay and I would definitely recommend Katherine as a Rover sitter!”

“I cannot say enough good things about my experience. Leaving Atlas for a full week was a huge step for me. He is a rescue dog who has experienced trauma, and this was the very first time I had left him with someone since adopting him two years ago. From the moment I dropped him off, she understood exactly what he needed. Rather than pushing interaction, she gave Atlas the space and time to come to her on his own terms while he adjusted to a new environment. That patience and understanding meant so much to me. Throughout his stay, she sent frequent updates and pictures, which gave me tremendous peace of mind. She was always quick to respond whenever I reached out and made sure all of my instructions were followed carefully. If anything wasn’t clear, she asked questions rather than making assumptions. Most importantly, she treated Atlas like family. He received plenty of snuggles, attention, and playtime; including one of his favorite activities, fetch. It was obvious that she genuinely cared about his comfort and happiness. She went above and beyond to make both Atlas and me feel comfortable, and I am so grateful for the care she provided. The biggest sign of how well she cared for him came when I picked him up. Atlas was incredibly excited to see me, but after greeting me he ran back over to her for one last snuggle before we left. As his mom, that told me everything I needed to know about how safe, loved, and comfortable he felt during his stay. I would absolutely trust her with Atlas again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, reliable, and compassionate dog sitter.”

About: Hello! My name is Violet and I’m 19. I’ve taken care of many dogs with varying ages and sizes since I was 15. I’m a volunteer/foster home at Front Street Animal Shelter and have fostered multiple dogs and puppies. This experience has deepened my understanding of animals as well as how to properly care for them. Along with this I assist friends and family pets frequently whenever they need me.
