“Grateful to find someone that my dog and I were willing to trust. My dog is so happy with Michael!! She definitely makes her self at home at Michael’s. I know she gets her walks and plenty of play time with her sitter. Micheal is great at sending me updates on how my dog is doing as well as photos which I love! We are great full to find someone that works with my dog so well and can give her that one on one time which she needs.”

“We hit the jackpot with Brandee! She is extremely warm and generous, and it is very obvious that she loves dogs very much! Our girls had a wonderful time, and they ran around the backyard so much that they were all tuckered out when they got home. We will use her again without hesitation.”

“My little dogs have always stayed with family or a trusted neighborhood sitter, but when no one was available for an overnight, we were happy to find Bari. My pups were happy with the combo of activities (walks, a dog park visit) and relaxing on Bari’s couch. My 10 year old mini schnauzer has a bit of separation anxiety, but she, as well as my schnoodle, had no problem making themselves at home. I wouldn’t hesitate to have them stay with Bari again.”

“Patty is amazing. Very kind. Very thoughtful. And, truly loves dogs. She treated our pup with the highest of care and took excellent care of her. She’s responsive and extremely accommodating. We had some travel issues and she was very helpful and flexible. Can’t say enough about her. Looking forward to Kala staying with her again soon.”

“Martha was awesome! Very attentive and caring. Kept in contact to let me know how Angel was adjusting. And sent pictures which reassured me that she is definitely an animal lover 🩷🩷🩷”

“Thank you Reginay for caring for Queenie. She had a great time and I knew she was in the best hands. Lots of walks and play time. Pics and prompt communication. Appreciate it!”
“Grisel was AMAZING!! She was communicative and sent many photos of Lillie to me! They have a wonderful large yard where all the dogs could hangout and play, and she even took Lillie for a walk in the evening to help with her bowels. I felt comfortable leaving Lillie in Griselda’s care and will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I have owned dogs most of my life from a Doberman pinscher to a chowchow to an Australian cattle dog and a couple cats throughout my life. I love animals! I no longer have our latest family Australian cattle dog who was with us for 17 years and miss being around animals. I am an independent contractor in real estate so I can set my own hours. I’m very flexible! I love to get out and walk a lot for exercise for myself as well! I give them lots of love and attention that they need. Play with them and make sure they’re happy, exercised, and well fed at their eating time
“My doggy and cat love Joel. They know they will be taken care and get lots of attention and love. They are my babies and it makes it so much easier to know they are happy even when I am gone. Thanks Joel!!”

“Kazue is everything you can ever ask for in a dog sitter. Very quick communication. Sends photos of my dog every morning, midday, and evening. She even folded my dog’s blanket and washed his bowls prior to me picking up my dog. She is absolutely wonderful!”

About: I have experience with many different types of animals. I have cats, dogs, a snake, a lizard, snails, and fish. I also lived on a farm and have experience with farm animals. I am good at training dogs and have experience with animal's medication management. My dog has an anxiety disorder, and one of my cats had an intense medical scare which required medication three times a day. Work to provide the best for all my animals, and I'll work to provide the best for yours as well. I currently work part-time during the days. There is never a time where my house is unsupervised for more than a few hours at a time to go out and eat or run errands. With my dogs, I typically crate them when I leave to prevent them from causing problems like digging in the trash, but that is up to your discretion for your animal. I live in a house in a nice, quiet neighborhood. I have a fenced in yard that my two dogs frequently run around in. I have a small inflatable pool for the animals to play in during the heat. I will take care to attend to each animal's individualized needs, so if your dogs needs to be crated at certain times or has specific triggers please let me know.
“Thank you SO much Hana! Hana is one of the best dog-sitters on Rover. She was very quick to communicate, sent plenty of updates/photos/videos, walked my puppy frequently, and made him feel loved and at home! My puppy can be standoff-ish to people but he was cuddling with Hana in no time!”

“Demetra and her husband were the BEST dog sitters. Our anxious dog fell in love with them and their two dogs. They were excellent at communication and sent daily updates with photos and video. We will definitely be asking them to pet-sit again and I enthusiastically recommend them.”

“Matt & his wife exceeded my expectations! This was my first time using a dog sitter & I was a little nervous initially because my dogs are my furry babies but I could tell as soon as I met these two, there was nothing to worry about. Matt kept me updated everyday with pics/videos and telling me about their day. He made sure they stayed on the same diet & eating schedule as I had them on. With every picture he sent, I could tell that they were having a blast. If you want assurance that your dog(s) will be well cared for, then don’t hesitate & book with Matt. He will be my go to for all of our dog sitting sessions for now on. Thank you so much again, Matt!”

“Danielle was so good with my baby and VERY patient. She has lots of her own babies to play with which was nice as well. She was very communicative and I felt comfortable with all of her updates. I would definitely use her again!”

“My regular sitter had to back out at the last minute and I was stressing out, but I'm very grateful to Marc and Rachael for accepting my 3 fur kids at the last minute. They sent me updates and pictures everyday, and I could tell that my dogs were very well cared for. Their house was a great environment for my doggies, and they did a great job with dogsitting them for a whole week. Highly recommended!”

“Katherine and Brulee welcomed our dog Moxie with open arms. I was glad to leave my dog with an experienced dog owner and their well behaved dog. Katherine did a great job meeting Moxie's needs with the added benefit of having a spacious backyard. Moxie was in good hands and we appreciate the help. Will definitely book again!”

“Caro and Chris are amazing sitters. They took such good care of Maggie and kept me updated with texts and photos every day. It was so nice knowing she was in such great hands. I highly recommend them. Thanks again guys!”

About: I have a 9 year old cat of my own, adopted her when she was a kitten! Throughout the years I have also taken care of the family pets (two cats and one dog). I love going for walks and I would often have our family dog tag along. I have experience in giving oral medication to cats + following a medication/feeding schedule. I’m currently working full time, Monday-Friday, I’m available to walk and care for pets during my work breaks, evenings during the week, or any time during the weekend. I provide a loving environment to any animal I come across. I want them to feel safe and comfortable enough to trust that they know I am a friend!

About: As a cat mom myself, I have plenty of experience caring for my own girl and have also helped care for friends’ cats. I understand every cat is different (some are more social/cuddly, some are shy and need a little more time to warm up ) and I’m happy to follow their lead. I will do my best to make your cat feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away!

About: I adore all cats and volunteered at the Bradshaw Animal Shelter to assess the temperment of new arrivals, determining of they were feral (and meant for the barn cat program), adoptable, or could be rehabilitated as domestic cats. I've cared for many older cats and my sweet Orange Kitty while he had cancer. I've also helped my friends take care of stray cats, including on out-of-state trips, and either find homes for them or arrange for their transport to no-kill shelters.
“Sarah is wonderful! I have two cuddly, social cats who enjoy human interaction while I’m gone. Sarah is a great communicator, shared plenty of pictures and updates, and my girls loved her. It was so nice to know my cats were in great hands.”

“So grateful for Jess who came last minute for a meet and greet and then did a great job taking care of the kitties. We appreciated her detail-oriented approach and thoughtfulness. Thank you so much!!”

About: I’ve taken care of my friend’s cats for years. I’ve taken care of cats that needed medicine, from pills to ear drops. I’m also down to just pet and hang. Whatever your cat needs.

“Sophia was the perfect sitter for my cat while I was away for vacation. She was very trustworthy and respectful of my home and my pet - 2 of the most important things in life! She has great experience and definitely cares and it shows. I would definitely recommend and/or book her again.”

“Mel is awesome! Very professional, easy to get along with, great communication, reliable and absolutely great with our dogs! Frank (our large male pitbull mix) and Becky (our medium female bulldog) both adored Mel from the first moment they met her. She is very much Frank and Becky approved! Mel's done a great job taking care of our pups, she's a fantastic pet professional, and we highly recommend her services!”

“Katherine was fantastic! She was very easy to communicate and work with, and she set me totally at ease about my cat's wellbeing. She provided lots of good pictures and was attentive to my cat's needs.”

About: I’ve owned both dogs and cats in the past, as well as walked neighbors and friends dogs! Moved to a new city so looking for new pups and cats! Currently have a full time job but find myself in one place most of the day so looking for ways to stay active! I’m available most weekends, and week day nights! I like to keep a clean space so am sure to clean up after animals, as well as have a safe space for them to play, eat, and use the bathroom!

“Erika was fantastic. Not only was she able to fit us in on short notice over the holiday, but she went above and beyond caring for our cats. Really appreciated getting the detailed updates and photos each visit. Would absolutely book again.”

“I had a sudden family emergency, and Holly saved the day! Holly is very professional and communicative, and I would recommend her without reservation. “Natalie was very communicative, took good photos, and overall gave our cats excellent care for a couple check ins, which we booked on somewhat short notice. Definitely recommend!”

“They took care of my pup like she was their own. Drop off was a breeze and pick up went flawlessly. They provided periodic updated of my dogd temperment and attitude which helped me feel at ease.”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life since childhood. Ive had inside and outside dogs, I would bathe, feed, and teach them how to sit, lay, and stay. I love having animals around, they bring the extra joy I think everyone needs in their life. I currently work from home, so I can give them extra attention and keep them company. I can take them on walks every few hours as well as bathroom breaks when needed. I live next to a park, so I can take the pets for walks and use the restroom. If they need to be in a crate or outside, I have a patio where they can hangout to get some fresh air.
“Teddy had a great afternoon and evening. Communication was very quick and I love getting updates and photos. He had a great night and slept well when he got home. I will definitely use her again when we are back in the area thank you so much.”

“Grisel always treats my girl like real family. Always considerate and understanding, and has helped take the very best care of her. She always gets excited when we pull up because she knows she will be loved and have a good time. Highly recommend.”

“I highly recommend Joel! My old girl was calm and happy after her day stay. Extremely considerate of Lola’s needs. She’s a picky pup and can be stressed by strangers, but not with Joel. Didn’t have to worry about her safety or well-being. A great help and huge relief.”
“Heath Bar didn’t make it easy - he barked the entire time at Danielle’s unless she was there with him, I k ew he had separation anxiety but the only time it presented for the last several years was while he was alone in the car. His being alone in the house was not a problem for him. My take away is to be certain someone will be at home with him for most of the time he will be in someone else’s care. Danielle was very responsive and kept me informed the day Heath was in her care.”

“We are so glad we chose Alexandra to watch our puppy. She was awesome with our 6 month old puppy Rooney. She walked him and sent us pictures of his day. Her dogs got along great with ours and at the end of the day our pup was tired out. Which was perfect for us since we were at a meeting all day. Very trustworthy and kind. If we need care in the future we would definitely choose Alex for the job.”

I also have experience with reptiles, amphibians you name it. I’ve taken in close relatives animals, neighbors whoever. My motto is the bigger the pup the tighter the hug. I’m currently in school, and work part time. I can do drop ins, and walks from 1-10 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. And 8-12 on other days. I have a reliable transportation. So I will always be there on time for your fur babies. I also always carry treats to warm the babies up. I am also very respectful of people’s home. I am also a Certified Nurse Aide. So I have plenty of experience in giving care in my clients homes.
“Hana took such good care of my puppy and kept me updated with cute photos and videos. She had a beautiful big yard for him to run around in. Would definitely recommend”

“Richard was the perfect playmate for my active young dog. They went for walks and played together all day. Communication was very easy, clear, and frequent. Richard and his wife are both very kind and flexible with my schedule. Im sure my Sophie will look forward to spending the day with them again soon.”

“First time leaving Oreo with someone for the day . Admittedly, I was nervous , Anna resolved all of that , she was communicating through the day , Oreo was exhausted when I got him back which told me he had a blast ! I’ll use Anna again ! Oreo has a new friend !”

About: I train dogs and play in various dog sports, including some protection based sports. These activities may appear scary to some but I can guarantee my participation adds immensely to my understanding of dog behavior and development. My walk rates reflects that experience and the value I bring to your dog’s learning and development. My core philosophy is that all learning be a positive incentive based experience for the dog. My Boarding rates do not include dog training. As a pet parent myself, I know the stress of leaving your loved one with someone. I will work with each client to ensure peace of mind for the pet parent, continuity of care for the animal, and a positive enriching experience for both. I have lived with and cared for animals from the time I was a young child. I have always had a deep connection to dogs in particular but I love all animals. Animals in my care receive a positive developmental environment to grow and learn about being a dog.
“Tanisha was fantastic with my dog Morty. My dog is reactive and nervous around new dogs, and she was willing to do whatever it takes to make sure he would feel comfortable with her and her dog. We did a meet and greet, followed by a test overnight board and test daycare. It was incredible to see how well my dog settled in with her. You can tell she cares a lot about the dogs she watches. I got a lot of pictures and videos of my dog while he was with Tanisha (more than I've ever gotten from a sitter). I highly recommend Tanisha!”

“We needed a doggy sitter last minute and Jennifer and her daughter were amazing! We were from out of town and did not have our normal dog sitters. They took my dog Bree on very short notice to look after the whole day. I went off of reviews and they did not disappoint! They sent me pics and updates. I was so grateful they were available. They were kind and personable. I could tell Bree was well looked after. I would definitely recommend!”
About: I’ve always had dogs in my life ever since I was a little kid—they’ve been my constant companions through everything. There’s just something magical about them: the way they greet you like you’ve been gone for years (even if it’s just five minutes), their unconditional love, and how they turn a simple walk into the highlight of the day. I absolutely love walking dogs, feeling that tug on the leash as they excitedly explore every scent, or just spending quiet time with them curled up nearby. They make the world feel less lonely; I never truly feel alone when dogs are around. Lately, I’ve been bringing my sister’s dog up from Fresno to stay with me for weeks at a time, and it’s been pure bliss—extra playtime, more cuddles, and that doubled-up dog joy. I’m at my happiest when I’m surrounded by them, whether it’s throwing a ball in the park, brushing their fur, or just watching them dream with those little leg twitches. Dogs have this incredible gift for bringing out the best in us and filling our days with genuine happiness. If you’ve got that same kind of love for them, you know exactly what I mean! 🐶❤️ Lately, I’ve been off work for a while, and I’m looking to fill my days with some real excitement. I’ve been bringing my sister’s dog up from Fresno to stay with me for weeks at a time, and it’s been pure bliss—extra playtime, more cuddles, and that doubled-up dog joy. But to amp things up even more, I’m thinking about diving deeper into dog-related adventures: volunteering at a local animal shelter (walking and playing with pups who need it most), trying out dog agility classes or hiking trails with furry friends, joining a dog meetup group for pack walks and play dates. I make my dog healthy foods to eat, I always wash her up after walks and play with her with her toys, we love to just chill on the couch and watch tv.
“I couldn't ask for more from a dog sitter. Marcie followed my instructions, provided a comfortable environment with positive stimulation, kept me updated with messages/pics and was just an overall pleasant person. Wonderful job!”

“My chihuahua does not always like meeting new people but I could tell he warned up quickly to Bari. Definitely a relief since I was nervous about how he'd do. Nice and good with dogs 5⭐ and the occasional pictures also put me at ease during his stay”

About: I grew up with a Yorkshire Terrier and currently have a cat of my own, so I’m very familiar with the everyday routines that come with caring for both dogs and cats. I’ve also helped care for my husband’s senior Scottish Terrier! I recently decided to take a break from the corporate world, and I’d love to spend some of that time caring for your furry babies 🐾❤️ I’m new to Rover, but I take pet care and communication seriously. Please feel free to ask me any questions - I’m more than happy to answer them and will always follow any specific care instructions you provide! I’m currently taking a gap from work, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to spend with your pets! For walks and drop-in visits, I’m available throughout the week 8am-8pm and can usually accommodate different times. I’m happy to work around your pet’s usual routine whenever possible. I’ll follow your instructions and your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, litter box/potty care, and any other specific needs. I’ll be respectful of your home, can send photos updates, and will keep in touch during each visit so you know how your pet is doing!

“Sophia met with Miss Serenity prior to the scheduled walks! She was on time and very sweet to my pup! The time I had originally scheduled her was too hot for Serenity, so she adjusted the time to walk her, which was amazing! I would definitely recommend booking her to take care of your fur baby!”

About: I've had cats and dogs my entire life, and volunteered at the Bradshaw Animal Shelter for a year after college. I've fostered kittens and a senior cat with medical issues, and cared for many older pets over my life. I once house sit for a family with rabbits so I have a little bit of familiarity with them. I have house sit for friends with a standard poodle and a mini doodle, including giving the standard poodle his daily medication and taking them both for twice daily trips to the park. I have also checked in on my parents' two dogs and 5+ cats to feed them, let them out for potty breaks, play with them, and give them medication. My sweet orange tabby got cancer a few years ago and I fed him three times a day through a feeding tube and administered his medication as well. I work some evenings, so I am free most of the day to care for your furry friends. I take care of my own senior kitty in the mornings, after my evening shifts, and during any free days. I have pet sat for friends and family before, including giving medication and two daily walks. I will follow all instructions to the letter and ensure your pet feels right at home.

About: Hi there! I’m Mel. I’ve had dogs in my life for over 30 years — growing up with Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, Border Collies, and Labs, and later caring for high-energy breeds like Huskies, Malamutes, Pit Bulls, and Dobermans as an adult. I’m comfortable with big dogs, strong pullers, and dogs who need real exercise, but I’m just as happy with a Chihuahua curled up on the couch. I spent 8 years as a nanny, so looking after something that depends on you completely isn’t new to me — it’s second nature. I offer house sitting, drop-in visits, and walks. I don’t board dogs in my own home, since I have a resident cat (a very opinionated tabby mix), but I’m experienced with cats too, including Maine Coons and other long-haired breeds, if you need a sitter for feline friends as well. I’ve handled the less glamorous parts of the job without blinking: medication schedules, backyard cleanup, even a dog who met a skunk face-first. My standard for every visit is simple — when you get home, your house should look better than when you left it, and your dog should be fed, exercised, and ready to sleep well. I treat your home and your animal the way I’d want mine treated. I’m self-employed, so my schedule is flexible and mostly built around dog care. I’m generally available 8am–6pm on weekdays, with some days running later. In the summer heat, I keep an eye on pavement temperature and adjust walk times so it’s safe on paws — sometimes that means earlier or later in the day rather than midday. Weekends are available with advance scheduling. I’m also happy to do drop-in visits spaced out over the day or across longer periods if that suits your dog’s routine better than a single visit. Since I don’t board dogs in my own home — I have a resident cat — all my care happens in your space, on your dog’s normal turf, which tends to be less stressful for them than an unfamiliar house. I follow whatever routine you set: meals, meds, walks, exercise. I’m comfortable administering medication, cleaning up after accidents or messes, and handling anything that comes up — I’ve dealt with a dog getting skunked, dogs with high energy who need real exercise, and the everyday logistics of keeping a home running while you’re away. My rule for every visit: your house should look better than when you left it, and your dog should be fed, exercised, and settled by the time you get home.
About: Experienced with all types of dogs, including special needs. Skilled in walking, handling, overnight care, attention to detail, comfortable in medication administration and accurate dosing My schedule is wide open and flexible. I’m currently attending school to become a veterinary technician while looking for a part-time job, so I’m available to provide reliable, attentive pet care in the meantime. I’ll always be respectful of your space, house rules, and the routines you’ve created for your pets. I’ll follow your instructions carefully and treat your home and pets with the same care and respect I would my own.
About: I love animals and making sure they are happy. I can accommodate for any specific needs they may have. I take care of our family pets daily & have done multiple pet & house sits for friends and family. I am trying to find a stable job with reasonable income while helping my mother, my schedule is mostly open when im not needed to watch my other 2 pets. I love my pets company, giving them things too do like running round and playing chase. Cleaning, Feeding and making sure they're happy and if they need their medicine. Usually taking care or them for most of the day.
About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs throughout my hole life. I have no preference and love them equally. I’ve had mostly larger dogs over the years and I currently have a mixed dog from the shelter named Buu, who is very friendly! I’m a firefighter in between jobs at the moment, so my schedule is very open. When I’m working I usually have 2 days on and 4 days off, my schedule is very flexible. This gives me plenty of time to take care of pets and give them ample attention. I would respect the house hold and do everything that is requested from the owner of the pets and treat every animal as if they were my own.
About: I've grown up surrounded by pets and I've missed playing with my dogs since moving to Sacramento. I can't wait to play fetch, give pets and attention, and walk with your dog. I worked part time so I have plenty of time on weekends and week day to care for your furry pal. I'm flexible with early mornings, mid-day check ins, or late night walks Your house, your rules! I love instructions and follow them to a T. I prioritize cleanliness and respect in your home. I'm also covid conscious and for my immunocompromised friends
“Andrea has been walking my dog Jack for a a couple of weeks now and he has been so happy with her! He is skiddish and shy, but has taken very well to Andrea, which I think speaks well of her! They walk during lunch and he is so much more calmer in the afternoons and when I get home. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

Play with them and make sure they’re happy, exercised, and well fed at their eating time
About: I have experience with many different types of animals.

“Alexxa was above and beyond expectations with our young puppy. Because of his age, I was a bit nervous to leave him. Alexxa was a committed, communicative and flexible sitter who accepted a late, holiday weekend Hail Mary request to board for an event that arose. She made a stressful day positive by providing photo and text updates and reassurance that Ham (the puppy) was settling in fine after drop off. Really truly in good hands with Alexxa and company. Ham came back tired, happy from play and his normal self. Somehow completely on his normal schedule with zero change. Would happily book again given the him he got outdoors, around a safe family that talked to him (the dog likes words of affirmation haha). 10/10 dog boarding you won’t regret.”

“We couldn't be happier with the care our dog, Shasta, received! Alexandra has watched Shasta multiple times, including a recent 10-day stay, and every experience has been fantastic. It's such a relief knowing she's in loving, dependable hands whenever we're away. We always receive updates and photos, and it's clear that Shasta is treated like part of the family. She comes home happy, relaxed, and well cared for every time. Alexandra's communication, reliability, and genuine love for animals give us complete peace of mind. We highly recommend Alexandra to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and professional dog sitter. We wouldn't hesitate to book with her again!”

“Daniella took great care of our energetic black lab for a week and was a delight to communicate with. Olive got great exercise while we were away. Will definitely book with Daniella again!”

“My pup received wonderful love and care from Marie & James. I received photos and videos at least twice a day. Will trust them again with my doggy when we travel.”

About: I’ve been around pets my entire life, and I truly believe they’re one of the best parts of the world. I was a dog owner for over 10 years, and after losing my sweet girl to cancer, I really missed having furry friends around. That experience reminded me just how much joy and companionship pets bring into our lives. From dogs and cats to fish and hamsters, caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I’m a family guy with a comfortable home and a safe, secure environment where your pet can feel relaxed, loved, and right at home. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your furry family member with someone else. My goal is to give you peace of mind while making sure your pet gets plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and care. Whether your companion needs walks, drop-in visits, sitting, boarding, or simply some extra love and attention, I’m happy to help. I’ll treat your pet like part of my own family and make their safety, comfort, and happiness my top priorities. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family member! 🐾❤️ I work part-time in the evenings and am available during the day to spend time with and care for your pets. While I’m at work, my wife and daughter are home and will be there to care for them. Your pets will always have someone at home with them, so they won’t be left alone. You can have peace of mind knowing your pets will receive care, attention, and companionship around the clock. I have a good-sized, secure backyard where dogs can safely enjoy some outdoor time, as well as a public walking path right behind my house for those who enjoy stretching their legs and getting some exercise. I love taking dogs for walks—it’s a great way for them to get fresh air, exercise, and enrichment while keeping them happy and comfortable. I always make sure pets are supervised, cared for, and treated like part of the family while they’re in my home.
“Kristen was absolutely wonderful! She was flexible and accommodating when needed. She sent pictures of play time and how Milo was doing throughout the stay. I will definitely use her services again!”
