About: For the last 6 years I have had different friends and family rely on me for dog, cat, and rabbit care. I have been responsible for scheduled feedings, bathing, walks, and of course playing and quality time. My goal is always to be communicative, reliable, and adaptable to any and all of your pets individual needs. I currently work full-time in retail with a schedule that varies per week, but would love to use any of my free time and days off to spend with pets. All shifts are 8 hours or less and I am more than willing to make time before or after (or both) any of my shifts. My biggest priority in any situation is to remain communicative and careful, as I understand what it’s like to have your pet in somebody else’s care. In cases of pet-sitting in your home I can be trusted to be respectful of all belongings, keeping a clean space, and going above and beyond care instructions. In cases of boarding in my home, I live in a two story house in the hills of Scotts Valley with two other animal-loving housemates. We have a large fenced backyard on a hill and plenty of hiking trails nearby to stay active.
About: My first exposure to cats was Raisin, my beloved tabby when I was 3 years old. My next cat "of my own" was Spooky, a Russian Blue abandoned in a Seattle Queen Anne Hill apartment building who joined our family when I was a preteen. I've been caring for cats ever since. My husband and I have cared for many cats of all ages over the years and my own cat Elvis just passed at 18, so I know exactly what it takes to care for a senior cat: the feeding schedule, the medication, the careful observation, the quiet corners they retreat to. “We are so grateful to have found Kenny. We tried leaving our dog at a hotel/boarding facility. We paid extra for a nice room. But he was mostly in that room alone, standing and clawing at the glass, begging for attention. And when we would drop him off, he would try to get away. When we picked him up, he was panicked and breathing hard. He couldn’t mingle with the dogs due to being intact. It was isolating and he has separation anxiety. I’m sharing this for contrast. When I drop him off at Kenny’s he runs to him, jumps and licks him, and walks away without ever looking back at me, lol. We get photo and video updates showing how much fun he has: playing in the yard with another dog, pooping! Going for a walk, eating, napping, etc. Kenny watches over them and keeps them safe, ex: big vs small, neutered/spayed vs not. My dog loves going there now, and I can focus on work without worry. I currently check on and feed a family friends dogs on the weekends when needed, I always leave the space how I found it and make sure the dogs have enough water and haven't gotten into anything they are not supposed to, I have experience with difficult dogs and have been researching dog behavior and training these past 3 years. I take every job I'm given very seriously and I am dedicated to the safety and well being of any animal I am responsible for, and I am more than willing to follow any special instructions in regards to your animal. every dog is different and I aim to give the best care to every dog put in my care. I am open to caring for dogs that need extra special care and attention such as reactivity or anxiety, or likely to run away if given the chance. I work 2 days a week, and go to school 3 days a week, but I have lots of downtime on the weekends and evenings during the week when caring for animals in your home I will always double check that doors are closed and lights are off/on, and leave everything the way it was when I got there, as well as making sure your dog hasn't gotten into anything.
About: My husband and I love dogs.... when our beloved Yorkie died a few years ago and we retired early from city government, we decided to focus our love on caring for other people's dogs in their homes. We now have several on-going sit relationships in central California and are happy to have so many dogs in our lives that feel like grand babies to us! Our preference is to work with 1 or 2 older/more relaxed dogs, that can be left alone for at least 4 hours at a time. “Sumaira is always on time and I know I can count on her to take good care of my fur babies. While walking my Siberian Husky another dog that was unleased attacked my dog. Sumaira safely got my girl home and check her out from head to toe. She promptly notified me that the husky was attacked, however alright. Sumaira let me know there was a little blood on her ear, however she did not appear to be injured. I myself have had another dog attack us when we were walking. Sumaira did the responsible thing and notified me and ensured my girl was alright. In this type of situation that is best can be accomplished and despite this incident I will ask Sumaira to walk her again.”

“They are so sweet and accommodating. The house has a spacious backyard and my dog was kept in the ADU with her brother as well as hung out in the main house. “Norelvis and Chris did a great job watching our pup, Reggie. He's a 7 mo old puppy and this was his first overnight away from home since we adopted him 2 months ago. We booked a meet & greet a week before to get everyone familiar with each other. Their house is very puppy proofed and they have great indoor and outdoor space for the dogs to hang out and play. They even helped Reggie work on some homework exercises for his puppy class he's in (practicing down, stay, leave it, etc). They sent photo and video updates daily. Super smooth experience. We'd definitely book again!”

“My lab mix Steinbeck had a great relaxed time at his first overnight stretch (3 nights and days) at Camp Mita, after previously spending several good doggy daycare days there. He is a rescue with a trauma history so he can become quite nervous when I am away-- but not so at all when with MIta and family!--who gave him so much TLC as well as lovely walks. MIta's calm and friendly older yellow lab also clearly was a very reassuring presence to him. I loved receiving the gracious daily photos so I could see how "at home" he was making himself. He came home completely grounded. I was able to enjoy my time away so much more because he clearly enjoyed his time with Madhumita. Thanks for your attentiveness to a sensitive dog, Mita!”
